Dynamite Roll

If you're looking for your new go-to sushi spot... this is it. Decorated so cozy with details that make it feel warm and inviting the second you walk in. I love the dynamite roll... Perfectly balanced, a little crunch, a little spice, and packed with flavor. This place is highly recommend if you're a sushi lover. Homey the vibes and the service is kind and consistent every time.

It was ok but always pay attention customer request!! Well this is obvious cuz prolly the don't read English well or just don't pay attention or just don't follow instructions. I ax force tea chooppy sticks n more wasabi. Didn't get it...

Great great spot! It's kind of hidden in a small plaza in a neighborhood, but those are the best! Ample parking and they have happy hour! Since it was our first time, we missed it....next time! The interior wasn't too bright, which gave it a nice ambiance. There weren't many people (surprisingly since it was happy hour time), but the service was a tad slow. It took a while for them to take our orders and realized that it was just one waitress working. The entrees seemed like forever (maybe I was realllllly hungry), but when it came all worries went away. The Tokyo roll was phenomenal! The fish was fresh and it just didn't have any extras on it. Just fish and rice! Yum! The yellowtail jalapeno roll was pretty basic, but still delicious. I loved the small hint of spiciness (could've been a little more for me), and just yellowtail. I love that it wasn't packed with rice and less fish. I appreciate that! That was more than enough food!! Thank goodness I didn't order more! My boyfriend ordered his usuals, PA roll and salmon roll - boooooring! lol jk. He makes everything easier. Will definitely come back for happy hour and just come back in general!! xx

Yet again, Kassai delivers an amazing dinner experience. We've never been disappointed by food or service. They have killer quality and it is so refreshing to come back to a staple and know you'll get what you're expecting. I will forever be convinced that the only reason this place isn't absolutely packeddd is because of location being off the beaten path. Quality, price, service 10/10

Came in for our first visit. Parking spaces should be available most times of the week. Not too busy on a Saturday night. The food was good. They almost met my expectations of amazing. The service was the same. Good versus amazing. The ambiance was chill with the vibe inside. At one point someone was cleaning with some very strong smelling chemicals. Talk about a scent you do not want to smell while enjoying dinner. We may come back for more in the future. But most likely will only visit a couple times a year. I have higher expectations when spending $100 bucks with tip.

Lexi & I went here last night for a sushi date! And like usual it didn't disappoint! The Mexico roll is my favorite and I will get it every time. The gyozas were crispy and flavorful! Lexi loves salmon so she always gets a roll that has salmon and of course the salmon nigiri! Our server was excellent! She was nice, and attentive! Anytime we need sushi this is our favorite spot that isn't too expensive! Dan & Lexi

Doordash review for Kassai. Honestly the sushi was decent for the area. I know sushi generally more $$$ than other cuisine but I did feel like for a $50 meal (3 rolls), the size of the rolls and quality of the fish could have been better. I did not like the jazz roll as the black pepper taste did not mesh well with the tuna. The other rolls were decent, but nothing mind blowing. I also think they were using overcooked rice cause some of the rice in the rolls were crunchy af. Wished my to go order came with complimentary miso soup or house salad, but I might have been spoiled by sushi establishments back at home.

Salmon bento box

I ordered a teriyaki salmon bento box. The soup and salad was good. The California roll was good. But the piece of salmon was really small and over cooked. And the yakitori was inedible. It was so overcooked, I had to throw it away. I will try the restaurant again one day since it's near my workplace.

I gave them another go and happily increase my stars to 5/5! Ordered off DoorDash on a Tuesday night and my food was ready & delivered quickly. They put a cardboard box under the sushi container in the brown paper bag in came in to ensure the sushi stayed nice and intact. Very thoughtful! I tried 2 new sushis from my last visit, and was happy to see they were much bigger than before. In the attached photo I had transferred the sushi to a platter so you can see the ingredients better. MIA roll (left) - shrimp tempura, cream cheese, jalapeño, topped with spicy tuna. Not too much cream cheese, generous amount of spicy tuna. Jalapeño gives it a nice crunch and punch! New York roll (right) - tuna, avocado, topped with salmon So good! Can't wait to order again.

This place is delicious and has a very chill vibe. Plus I checked in on Yelp (my first time ever) and I got a free sake! Score! The fish tasted fresh and the service was good. It wasn't overly crowded which is hard to come by in Denver these days. For sushi prices it was reasonable; looks like I have a new go-to spot!

Good find! Everyone is right. Hidden gem, which I'm glad about because it's not too crowded. I'm picky about sushi and this was great.

What a cute little place!!…read more It was late in the evening and I was getting hangry. I was craving ramen and Neko came up during my Yelp research. They were open late, so we decided to go. The restaurant was popping at 22:00 on a Friday. We were greeted warmly by staff. It was intriguing to us that we ordered via an iPad kiosk as if we were at a boba place, but we didn't mind. However, usually only to go orders are placed on a kiosk. In my hangry state of mind, I had not realized that Neko only serves their ramen with chicken broth, so for those of you who prefer tonkotsu broth, this isn't the place for you. For that reason, my husband had to order a chashu rice bowl instead. Personally, I enjoy both paitan and tonkotsu. I went with the black garlic ramen. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive. While we waited, we dispensed water for ourselves from the soda fountain. I was a little confused upon receiving my black garlic ramen, as I thought the black garlic oil would be more prominent. I was assured that I had the right bowl. My husband enjoyed his chashu rice bowl. I had a small bite and the pork was tender and well-seasoned. The paitan broth was very umami indeed. I would have liked to have more of a black garlic flavor, but it was still good. Next time I would just pay the extra $2 for more black garlic oil. The noodles were bouncy, and the chashu was tender. The egg was deliciously jammy (alas no photo because I devoured it). I saw they had soy sauce and hot sauce, but wish they had the classic chili powder so I could have added some to my ramen. Neko Ramen & Rice hit for late night noms, and the cat-themed decor all around (since Neko means cat in Japanese) was such a vibe. They also serve curry, poke, and various small bites if you want some apps to enjoy before your entrees. If you don't mind chicken broth for your ramen or will be ordering rice bowls instead, Neko is a fun little place to come dine at, especially since they open late.

We were seated right away and given plenty of time to take in the restaurant's history and look through the menu. Our food came out quickly, and the staff was always nearby if we needed anything. We started with the cucumber salad and shrimp shumai. The cucumber salad was refreshing, but the shrimp shumai had a strong fishy smell and taste that didn't seem very fresh--I couldn't eat more than one. For my entrée, I ordered the nabeyaki soup with ramen noodles and chicken, and it was excellent. The soy-based broth was rich and flavorful without being too salty, and the ramen noodles were cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of bite. Overall, Domo offers a really special atmosphere and a memorable dining experience. I wouldn't recommend the shrimp shumai, but I'd definitely come back to try another ramen flavor, and to see the cats again.

The vibe is fast and loud, but the servers are super efficient and communicative. I really liked the tokidoki roll and hamachikama. Hard to go wrong with those! The hamachi kama was HUGE. They give you the entier collar! I also liked the yaki ika which was very tasty, not rubbery at all. They have a lot of ramen on the menu which was a crowd pleaser for our group. Their edamame is also very spicy and quite good -- not your typical simply salted edamame. One thing I wouldn't order - the kimchi fried rice. Considering the only other US location is in California, I was surprised and knew this would be my opportunity to try it! The aesthetic is modern & elevated with Japanese wooden features. I got 3 classic dishes which was just the right amount of food. I honestly recommend coming with a group to try more items since you know everything will be delicious. The Yellowtail Jalapeño is a signature dish; the yellowtail was delicate & buttery and the citrus soy with the bight of jalapeño made each bite clean, bright, with some subtle heat. I did not expect the Rock Shrimp Tempura to be that good! The shrimp was lightly battered & fried but the sauces were the highlights! Their creamy spicy is a very well-done spicy mayo but the butter ponzu was unreal! Super addictive, rich, and unlike any sauce I've had before. Shout out to my waitress for suggesting getting both sauces on the side rather than lathered on the shrimp, which also kept it crispy. Last but certainly not least is the famous Black Cod! The fish is super buttery and flaky; there were some caramelized edges from the miso glaze which added so much depth & richness to the bite. It's a good balance of sweetness, savoriness, umami that is bound to be good. All in all, so grateful I got to try what many call an institution and will certainly try more of chef Nobu's restaurants.

Some of courses were delicious and some were mediocre. We spent almost $700 for a party of four. The situation that needs the most improvement was the pace of the meal. The courses were separated by a 20-30-minute wait time. Considering that the courses were very small and contained 5-6 pieces for a party of four... that equates to a little more than a small bite every 20-30 minutes. The dinner took 2.5 hours to develop, and we were honestly still hungry by the end. The waiter started asking us if were "still hungry" at about the fifth courses. By the end, we felt awkward in asking for more. The wagyu beef was particularly disappointing as the beef was somewhat chewy, lacking taste and small. Waiters seemed to be near their capacity of workload. Didn't really take the time to serve, walk you thru the menus, keep the service moving or even gauge your level of satisfaction. We ordered dessert to celebrate the birthday. Apart from a small chocolate plaque on the dessert that said, "happy birthday", there was no attempt to celebrate the occasion as other less exclusive restaurants do... no "happy birthday" wish, no courtesy dessert... nothing special. The best part of this meal was by far, the young couple that accompanied us. Friendly advice: if you want to impress a client with something the feels exclusive... this may be the place. If you are looking for amazing food, being pampered and feeling your money was "well spent", try another place. I don't plan to visit this restaurant soon.
