[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very good beers in an open and fun atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Chips and guac were also excellent. We sat at the bar and had good service. And I took away an APA in a buffalo-themed screw top crowler which was nice.

Ok....4.8 stars. The beers were awesome but the service was ok. We sat down and I noticed right away that there was no place to hang your jacket because none of the table chairs have backs to them. They're all bar stools and the chairs at the bars have backs, wtf!!?? Our server came over right away after we sat down but we hadn't looked at the menu yet so we weren't ready. When we were ready, he never came back. We had to order at the bar. The food is actually made at the Mexican restaurant next door. It was pretty good but I had done a Yelp search on good burgers in my area when we were coming back from a hike and this place came up first, and they don't even cook their own food and they only have one burger and it was just good. I bought a small growler to go. Great beer place for sure. Cheers.

Chips, guacamole and salsa. So good! Price was only $6.95!

Wanted to try this place and glad we did. This place rocked! All the servers were amazing! We ordered 2 IPAs and wanted a little something to munch on. We ordered their chips, salsa with Guacamole. For a little something we were full. A generous portion. Normally I like chunky salsa but this was more liquid...it was so yummy and so was the guacamole! The IPAs we tried were amazing. So far on our road trip, they had the best IPAs we've tried. Bathrooms were clean. Self serve water offered. I definitely recommend with place!

Nice place to have a beer and a hard seltzer, we thoroughly enjoyed the chips, guac, salsa and queso. The taquitos were just ok, but the burritos were very tasty.

Hard to tell when it is open. Seems like a bunch of friends use it for a meeting place. Close when they leave?

Service is top notch -- always been friendly, attentive, and just the right amount of urgency. Drink and food prep times have been good, during both slow and busy visits. Love the fish and chips, corned beef and cabbage, and a few other tasty bites we've tried. Options for regular American or Irish fare! Guinness and Harp on tap -- so get your half and half's flowing (black and tan's; I've always been told by my native Irishman is made with Bass). I could care less what anyone else calls it -- just get me one!! Hahahah!!! The inside is an old school pub feel and I just love it! World Cup during the most recent visit -- can this place get any better?? I'm ready to be surprised -- but don't need to be! Will be back many times and will update in a few months!!

It took a while. There was one waitress for the whole area. I feel like maybe the bartenders could have helped run food a little more but whatevs. Full disclosure, before we got our food....I would have rated this place lower. But. Oh. The. Food. My heavenly, small town, delighted tastebuds heck...the food! We ordered bangers and mash, the corned beef, and the Shepard pie. And we ate it all like we were on death row and it was our last meal! DELICIOUS! The Shepards Pie is something I'll dream about. Hearty and robust, but somehow not heavy. Perfect for a cold winter night or a hot summer day! And don't sleep on the soda bread! It's not only the best I've ever had. Paired with a smear of that lightly salted butter...it's enough to make me grab an employment application and ask if they can pay me in food! Bottom line- slow but sweet service for a REALLY good meal!

On Wednesday evening we made a last minute decision to stop in for dinner and we are so glad we did. Sat at the bar as we like to do most visits, enjoyed a drink before ordering as we usually do but what came next was above and beyond and I have to share. We ordered our meal, and as my husband sometimes does, he ordered a rib eye and asked it to be cooked " as the chef recommendeds it". He does this all of the time...nothing more comes of it, dinner is served and it works out to be delicious most of the time. This evening there would be a different chain of events that would leave us very impressed. The bartender took it a step further, she decided to actually refer this order to The Chef... He took the time to come out to talk to us. He explained his experience cooking this choice of cut, he made a suggestion, and went into detail explaining the marbling. He offered his recommendation and we agreed. He called it "Pittsburgh Style", It was the best Ribeye we ever had, ( yes I made him share a piece ). I am sad to say we did not aquire this young man's name but we wish to recognize and commend him, not only on the result of the meal, but on his knowledge and dedication. He didn't have to take that extra step, but he did. And to our server/bartender...Kudos!

We were so excited for our meal at Montana's Rib & Chop House in Livingston! My husband had…read morereservations to celebrate my birthday after researching options in the area. The ambiance was very nice with a mixture of rustic and classy. We arrived early and planned to have a drink at the bar before our meal. The bartender was.... less than experienced. I ordered one of their signature drinks and even with the recipe book and someone else assisting him he managed to mess it up and forget a key item for it. After realizing it he did promptly bring me the missing component and was very friendly, I just wish it would have been correct to begin with. The staff asked if we wanted to see a menu to plan our dinner while we waited so we took advantage of that. Unfortunately, they gave us incorrect information about the version of the menu that was available to order from. It ended up not being helpful to look and plan early since we couldn't get what we saw ahead of time. Our hostess and waitress on the restaurant side was incredible. She was prompt, friendly, patient, and eager to please. We ordered the sirloin meals with a couple sides each and the Caesar salad for a starter. The salad was phenomenal! It kept us excited for our upcoming meal. The problem was the steak, which is pretty unfortunate at a steakhouse. I ordered medium and my husband ordered medium rare, but even after sending the steaks back twice each they were not correct. His steak was raw still and mine was rare. The server knew there was an issue because when she put the plates down she had us cut into the steaks to check their doneness both times and insisted she bring them back to get them right. She offered to bring new sides out as well so they'd be fresh when we had our properly cooked steaks as well. Again, she was great. She did what she could to remedy the situation. Unfortunately, by the time the steaks came back wrong twice we were not willing to give it another shot. The restaurant was pretty slow since it was a Monday, so I don't understand how the steaks could be sent out the wrong doneness twice. Either someone was new or they didn't care. The waitress went to get the manager for us, but they never came out to talk to us. It seemed like the least they could do to at least talk to us about the experience. Our meal was comped but we tipped the waitress healthily anyway because she really did try to make things right, she just wasn't the cook and couldn't fix the real issue. The experience was pretty lackluster for my birthday meal. It was memorable in the wrong way. I didn't even get a birthday dessert! We had to go to DQ for ice cream to have a birthday treat.

From the moment you walk in, you're surrounded by an incredible variety of locally made goods -- food, gifts, souvenirs, beverages, and so many unique artisan products. It's the kind of place where you can browse for a while and still find something new every time. I personally came in for the ice cream, and let me just say... it did not disappoint. The ice cream they sell comes from a small local business owner in Bozeman, and you can truly taste the difference. The brand is Genuine Ice Cream, and it lives up to its name in every way.
