I disagree about the eyelash issues.You are gluing fake hair to your lashes. Of course there will be some damage. But Lisa makes sure that she is careful, I've never had a problem and I go full glam. Meaning very full. Any kind of extension to the lash or any hair on your body is still gluing to your hair! With that being said... I love my lashes. You wakup looking beautiful... they are worth it for me. It's actually boosted my confidence. If I could only do 1 beauty regimen, it would be lashes. Beauty hurts... but it's worth it for me at least. Also, they just had a remodel and their pedicure chairs are out of this world... no...I mean really they look like spaceships. They took the time to delicately soak off my previous Gel X and expertly removed the nails. I come here to get my nails done occasionally. Good location, just next to Sloans Lake. I get dip and they have all the options for it available! They have always done a great job and executed the designs I've asked for, and don't take too long. My nails have lasted up to 3-4 weeks without breaking. They are always welcoming and friendly. They take walk ins but it's better to have an appointment (the link is a little hard to find). The overall prices aren't bad, the only thing I don't like is that depending on the person you get they can tell you a different price (i've had up to $15 difference even though the designs are similar) so just make sure to confirm the price for the work you want done before they start. read more

My complaint is that every time I make an appointment I always, always, always have to wait. My latest wait time was 35 minutes. From experience, it is best to call ahead and make an appointment as they can get really busy being located on Sloan's Lake. I always go on my day off when I'm not on a time crunch and I'm ready to relax. Lisa has waxed and tinted my brows countless times and always does an amazing job matching them to my hair color. On a whim I made an appointment to get mink eyelash extensions with her this past weekend, and had to share how talented she is. Left with rough nails after even mentioning they were half filed half not, polish is already peeling off one day after manicure, cuticles were cut in under 20 seconds, no polish on the sides of the nails, just yikes. The worst manicure I've ever gotten. After calling and confirming an appointment, I waited 45 minutes after arriving before being helped. Had to ask them multiple times go to back to remove all of my remaining acrylic nails before proceeding with a regular gel. Shape is wonky, edges are not filed, bubbles in the gel. This was probably my work lash experience. I have been getting my eyelashes done for years now and have never had a bad experience like this. It was my first time going here. I wanted the individual lashes, verse clumps/cluster. My eyes hurt and are still red. I had my appointment a day ago. I'm not sure if she just didn't know what she was doing, but there are clumps of glue on my eyes and lashes poking my eyes. In this picture I had to remove this clumps of lashes due to it poking and hurting my eyes. Would not recommend this place at all for eyelash extensions. You can see in the photo that these are clearly not individual lashes and there is a CLUMP of glue at the end. So disappointed! read more

Today I decided that I would search for a good nail salon that offered the powder nails process. I had my nails done on a trip to Florida where powder nails were highly suggested. After 4 weeks without any breaks or chips I knew I would continue with powder instead of shellac. On Yelp I found only a few salons that did the powder nails and Kate Nails on Sheridan was highly rated and close to my home in Lakewood. I called and the owner made an appointment that afternoon. The staff are welcoming and friendly and made me feel at ease. Their prices are very fair and in fact $10 dollars cheaper than the Florida salon I had visited. I appreciated the extra time offered to clean up my messy cuticles before the powder layers were added. I keep my nails short and round and they look so beautiful. What I like most about powder nails is how strong they are. Much stronger and longer lasting than shellac. I told the owner that they now had a new repeat customer because I was so extremely happy. Parking is a little tough but well worth visiting Kates. I plan on a pedicure next week. read more

Called and made an appt for 11am. Was not seen until 11:30. Not even sure who did my nails and toes but she was so fast I couldn't even relax. She was rushing so bad she kept dropping her tools. One of them was walking around not doing anything while I waited, assumed she was the owner, which she might be, but she helped another woman who came in after me. Love this place! I feel super comfortable with everyone there. You are getting great service and a comedy show! I always leave feeling pampered and great. It is a convenient location with parking. Prices are great for what you get and a ton of colors available to choose from. The place is clean and open feeling. Do NOT go here to have your lashes done. I now have a HUGE bald spot from a good 10 of my lashes coming out all at once when a giant clump of lashes came out that were all glued together. Lisa did my lashes and rushed through them and did a fill when I specifically said I needed a full set instead. There were also several clumps that had 2 to 3 of my natural lashes attached to it that came out prior to the huge chunk, right before. All the things that people fear about having lashes done happened to me all at once from coming here. I should have known based on the fact it takes less than an hour for them to do a full set and 30 minutes to do a fill but I did it anyways and here I am now. Beware! read more

I don't recommend this place. I got the Deluxe pedicure which was $45 which included a long massage according to what the detail of the pedicure said. I added shellac french for $20 more. He massaged my calves for 2 minutes, left for 10 minutes doing whatever. Came back massaged both my feet in less than 2 minutes and I was done. Honestly the French tips were the best thing about my pedicure and it was done by another girl. read more

Everyone here was so fun and nice. Lots of colors to choose from, and they did a great job.

Went here because it's walking distance to my house and I needed to have some dip nails removed. It's a small spot and I was immediately aware of two things: 1-the heavy smell of acrylics and 2-they don't have AC. The space was visibly cluttered and dirty - as in while I was "soaking off" my nails my arms were resting on the counter covered in acrylic dust and dirt. While I was there two other women finished up and both complained about the pricing. I thought it was fairly clear and soaking off and then getting standard french tips painted on was reasonable ($5 to remove $15 for french) but the quality was so-so and it took an hour and a half to accomplish removal and french tips being painted on my natural nail. Very nice people, but I'd really only go in desperation. read more

I came here based on the recommendation of a good friend of mine. They did a fantastic set of dip powder nails on my short nails. I had had it done at another place and they did a terrible job - they were so thick and the powder got all over my fingers which drove me crazy. It was the opposite here - they are so meticulous! Lisa didn't do my nails herself but she came over to check the progress several times. Plus they are all super nice and so reasonably priced!
