They have been around for a long time. They have their set clientele so they are always busy. They lack in friendly customer service. They didn't honor their warranty for a/c work that they did on my car 7 months ago. I took my car back in because my a/c isn't working again, and they want to charge me over $1,000!! Maybe because I'm a woman he assumes I'm an idiot, but sir I am not. I do my research and that estimate is on the high side according to myself (andChat GPT.) I recommend you go elsewhere. read more

Took my Mom's car to Kato's Auto Shop because there was an oil leak. They took my moms car in and gave us a diagnosis within the first day, they cleaned the engine and told us it was the oil pan which was leaking due to a broken gasket. They helped resolve the issue and Gary was very helpful when he explained the whole process! They gave us a detailed estimate and told us a lot about BMW's. Very helpful and trustworthy. Took my Grandfathers car to see Katos. As he was recommended by a family friend. We spent close to $1800 of "maintenance work".This was not explained to my grandfather until we went to picked up car. Gary was nice but he did not need to 'Shake the old man down" He did descent work but was it really necessary?? when the car is worth only $1200.00 ??? One of the best experience I ever had at an auto repair. Christina, front desk, what a wonderful personality. She went above the call of duty. Vehicle inspection was super quick. The tech at Marine Chevrolet broke my tire sensor and then did not reset it. I asked Christina about it and she asked one of the repairs specialists and he took my truck back into the shop and fixed the tire sensor with no cost to me. WOW was I impressed. Today, this has become the only place for all my vehicle inspection and repairs. I am retired Army and I recommend everyone to use Kato's Auto Service. Really Impressed!!!! read more

My car overheats in traffic, luckily I live 1 mile away from this place So I called in and made sure if they give out free estimates, He said, Yes.. Bring the car in we'll check it out for you and tell you whats wrong with it. Here I Go! To make story short, I get there and tell him I called in a few minutes ago about my car heating up. He says, Yes the Aveo, So I say.. Yeah the Aveo... He says, yeah $94 Dollars to check it out.. Really dude? You just said " free to check it out " over the phone a few minutes ago. gave 1 star because the people were nice, but... 1. I had to go back 2 more times because my check engine light kept lighting up even after they "fixed" the problem. 2. did not give me the 10% discount he said because i brought my own parts, but he already knew that when he gave me the estimate, he gave me an estimate for labor only! 3. did not replace all the parts I told them to. I know because I saw the parts I brought in their parts bin. I also told them to give me the used parts, those parts were not returned to me. at least they should have returned my new parts or told me why they didn't replace them. read more

so i came to katos auto because of all the high ratings, got some work done. ended up with more problems then i came in with, everything i paid for wasn't fix until about 4 months of me coming in picking up my truck and having to bring it back. finally they tell me its done a few weeks ago, and my trucks giving signs of a blown head. i brought it in with great compression so i was told. so i talked to gary and he claims its fine so hopefully they finally got it right, anyhoo. expensive, expect to bring your car back. expect it to be last priority, and keep your fingers crossed it won't take over 4 months of guess and check, and about $4,000 of combined free parts and labor, and paid parts and labor. to finally get your vehicle up to driving mediocre. read more
