These guys are old school and these guys ARE GOOD!!! My wife got a screw in her tire. Germ@!n Ford told me that it was illegal to repair my tire and tried to scam me into a new one for $225+. I've been around too long and had tires plugged or patched before to fall for that line. Based of Yelp reviews, I thought that I would give Katz a try. Wow, am I glad that I did! They were busy, but took care of me promptly. They didn't push me behind people buying new tires. I was repaired & out of there in less than 45 minutes. Yes, they did charge me because my tires were original equipment and had not been purchased from them. So what! They saved me $200 over my Ford dealers' angle. Without a doubt, Katz has made me a customer for life. They have done two tire repairs for me in the last month, both of which the service and price could not be beat. These people really have the best interest of customers in mind and are not just looking to make a buck. As an example, we were told that we needed a tire for a small SUV and received a quote for $294 from a dealership. Katz said they would prefer to repair the tire if possible not replace it so that treads remained even on the vehicle. My son attends OSU, and called me to ask for my help , as he needed tires for his Jeep that he drove from New York to Ohio. I'm a concerned father, that has worked in the auto industry for over 35 years. On a Saturday morning , I researched, via the internet, the best tire dealer in the area, which however turned out not to be located closest to OSU. They've been around forever, so they obviously are doing something right, and what they are doing right is courteous, friendly, and polite customer service on top of fantastic prices. I called in late one afternoon to have them get the tires I wanted and they were on my car by late morning the next day. So brought the car in to get the tire installed - FAST SERVICE - in & out in probably 10 minutes or so. The second time I went to Katz was when I had a leak in my front tire. Great service! I had a hard time locating tires because my car requires a size that is not very common. When I did find tires anywhere, they were really expensive. I went to Katz and they did not have my size, but the manager said he would try to locate some for me. The next day he called to say he had found some, and the day after that I went in and got them, at a really good price! And they work fast too. Overall a great experience. My family has been going to Katz tires for decades, when I finally moved to Columbus I figured I would give them a try. I went in looking to buy new tires, without an appointment mind you, hoping to spend no more than $500 on a new set of 4 tires. The young gentleman who approached me when I pulled up was all smiles and very professional, I was surprised considering how young he seemed. Not only was he very informative but he quoted me $300 plus tax for an entire new set of 4 tires. I thought it was to good to be true when he told me I would as well have lifetime rotations and balancing on my tires, for simply purchasing the new tires with no additional cost than the marked price. To top it all of I was in and out in roughly 30 minutes while I was 3rd in line for service. I would highly recommend Katz Tires to anybody in need of tire service! I was pleased to see that they as well sell aftermarket wheels and have a payment plan for those that apply. That was my first experience at a local tire business and I refuse to shop anywhere else for tires after the way I was treated. Bought some tires for my truck. They were trash they lasted less than a year. Bad customer service at the main street location.

I have had two great experiences with Katz now. Both times they were fast and cheap. My wife had a hole in the sidewall of her mid-life tire. I brought it here, and they had a used similar tire with comparable wear. It only cost me $43 with tax for the replacement. The facility is a little underwhelming, but that doesn't matter when you're in and out in 15 minutes. read more

This place is awesome! Im from Massachusetts, and I was traveling to Columbus, Ohio to go to a music festival. We drove up on a Thursday, and around 11 pm we got a flat tire. We had to go to our place for the night once we got into Columbus and deal with the flat in the morning. This place was a mile down the street, so we stopped by at 8am to get new tires before continuing with our plans. As soon as we got there the staff helped us out and put on a new set of front tires. It was very quick and affordable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I hope I never need their services again as I do not enjoy getting flats that far away from home, but if I am ever in the area and in need of tire assistance I will don't hesitate to go back to Katz Tires. read more

The other reviews are all true! We had a flat recently and I was looking for a place that would actually review the tire and try to repair it if possible, rather than just try to upsell me on a new tire blindly. I read the reviews on Yelp and decided to try out Katz, a bit hesitantly, because I wasnt sure if I could trust everything I read here. I must say it was an amazing experience. I called ahead, but was told to just walk-in when convenient. When I did, there were 3 other customers ahead of me, so I was sure it'd take at least an hour. I was wrong - I was out of there in 20 mins. The service is super fast. They pulled out the tire, showed me the hole and showed me why it was irreparable. They then asked me if I wanted a used or new tire. I asked to see the used tire first, and the tread on it was actually better than the one we had busted. I decided to go with the used tire for now, so when the time is up for the others, I could replace all four. I was out of there in 20 mins, which was great, because I could avoid the rush hour traffic I would have been stuck in otherwise. In the meanwhile, I asked for a quote for 4 tires on my other car, a BMW (which I'm looking to replace in a month or two). I had been quoted upwards of $1300 for a pair of 4 at other tire shops locally. The manager was able to remember in his head which tires my BMW needs and their price and quoted me $750 installed, which is a great price. All in all, I'm thrilled with the service and would recommend anybody thinking twice to just go there and try it out. read more

The service was great. I went in, and told the owner that I had called the day before about needing a patch (he remembered me). He asked me which tire, and immediately after my telling him he told me I could take a seat and he'd get right to it. I sat there for maybe 10 minutes tops, and he came out and told me the work was finished. He explained that I had a screw lodged in my tire, which he had removed and sealed. When I asked him how much I owed him, he jokingly said he would bill me. Free tire patch.....how much better can it really get? Fast service, both gentleman who were there were very friendly. All in all, a very good experience. I asked for a quote on a set of new tires, and the price was very reasonable and came with a lifetime service guarantee. I had a flat on my truck and had to get towed in. Partially because Chevy has a bunch of fail safes on their under-mounted spares and one of them was bent so the tire couldn't dislodge. I asked the guy actually doing my service if he would take a look at it for me and he just said "if it's broke, there's nothing I can do about it." I also had no idea why my tire was flat so I asked him if he could take a look while it was on there. When I was done I asked the guy in front (who was really nice, and I feel bad giving anything less than five stars to him) asked if he had checked on the cause and he just loudly said "NOPE." The guy from the front rolled it over and gave it a once over but I think without being inflated it's kind of impossible to really tell. read more
