I've been coming here for years every time I'm in town and it's one of the best nail salons with consistent quality. They do a great job of eyebrow waxing and I come out happy with their shaping every time (which is untrue of other salons I've been to). I usually get the full set with white tips or pink and white and they do the job quickly around 45 minutes or so with solid quality. I'm rewriting my review to follow Yelp's guidelines.* I've been going to KC nails for over 2 years and stopped going there after my favorite nail tech left the salon. I originally gave them 2 stars because they have some things that need work. Customer service is poor from answering phones to explaining upsell charges. The workstations are not very clean. I went here a couple of weeks ago bc I needed a last minute mani/pedi and it's right next to my house. The service was terrible!! I wasnt greeted at all when I walked in after abt five minutes of pacing back and forth someone finally addressed me but she seemed very annoyed. My nails turned out OK nothing great and the lady who did my manicure was rough and rushed. When I went to pay I wasn't allowed to tip with my debit card. I told her I didn't have cash so she told me I could go to the rite aid across the street and pull cash out - shed wait. My recommendation do not go here! Had a horrible experience. The lady i saw was may and she insisted she did great turkey designs if i wanted one but i need to pay first so i didnt mess up my nails she said, then she asked for her tip in cash, i told her i didnt have cash on me but i did in my car she then told me to go get my cash because she didnt want her tip on my card. She cut my finger then when polishing it she didnt even do the whole nail and didnt clean up the parts where she went on the skin. I used to get my nails done here often. The women were friendly, and they remembered who I was every time. This was the reason I kept going back, even though they were quite rough on my feet. I stopped going when one of the ladies made me bleed, and then I had an infection in one of my nail beds. Ugh! They also didn't clean up the basin very well after I bled. Eeewww. This review is actually for one of the Nail Technicians SANDY! She is one of the best nail ladys I have ever had the privilege of meeting. She would give my acrylics the most perfect fill, no joke. Her filing skills are awesome, and does not get offended when you tell her what you like (we all know how that goes). I had the same faux nails for almost 6 months without one ever breaking. I think that is some kind of record. She also gives a really nice manicure. She's very gentle. She will also work with your schedule and stay later if you need her to. She doesn't work on Wednesday, but is there from 10-8 every other day, even the weekends. She's also really sweet and makes some small conversation with you. You're the best Sandy! Went there for the first time they did a very terrible job. The people are very nice but I got a gel manicure they didn't paint the full nails and not even 2 hours after they are already chipping. Didn't paint the full nail so it already looks grown out and missed the sides of my nails. I never had such a negative experience especially with a gel manicure. This was my first visit here but I loved services more than my regular spot. everyone was very friendly. walking in worked for me but they are busy so if my regular spot i would call ahead. My daughter went there yesterday to get her nails done. She came back almost crying. Ann was the nail tech. She did a horrible job. It didn't look anything like what she wanted, not even close. I personally see Tiffany for my pink & white fills and i LOVE the way my nails look! Other places make them too thick or too thin an she make them look perfect. They always have a great shape, are even in length and she's willing to cut them however short i need them (for work, typing all day isn't easy with longer nails). I've been places where I've been mocked for wanting shorter nails. Anyways. The other thing i enjoy about Tiffany is after the ladies are done talking she translates to me what they are talking about so that I'm "in the know" on the story which I really appreciate. Cindy did my pedicure the other day and i loved the wonderful job she did. I didn't find her to be too rough and no bleeding occur ed! I think i might be requesting her in the future. Cons: Sometimes the drill is passing the nail too much and a friction heat builds up. It doesn't happen too often but it has happened a few times when she's trying to perfect one nail. Also, there are times that the file on the drill gets too close to my cuticle and it hurts but it never bleeds. This also is a rare occur ace but it does happen. I think either of these issues happen with any nail salon artist. I'm personally OK with the color selections at this location. There are more pink/red/purple colors than blue/green/other. I'm personally OK with that. They've recently added color powders for your acrylics as well as glitter in the acrylics. I've tried the white glitter before but I'm a simple gal that is just fine with the regular pink/white combo. read more

Never been here before, just stopped in after dropping my older daughter off at school. First off, the smell. It smells like shrimp food cooking. I'd rather smell acetone. Next, the constant chatter in Vietnamese between all technicians. I understand saying a few important things here & there but it seemed like incessant gossip considering at one point they broke out in shrieks of laughter. I had my younger daughter with me & they would all look at her & speak in their language & smile. I assume it was something kind that they were saying about her but since I don't speak Vietnamese I can't be sure. Then the lady doing my pedicure took a phone call during it & put the client on speaker while trying to book a future appointment. Not very professional. The ladies at KC nails is great! Lynn and Tiffany are the sweetest and make sure I'm always happy with my nails for any and every occasion. Tiffany was one of my first stylist back when I was at canyon HS over 15 years ago!!! She's amazing and quite the artist. They are very polite walking in. They are the usual salon, "go pick a color.." It was 27$ for a spa manicure/pedicure which isn't too bad. The older lady doing my feet did a horrible job clipping & filing. It hurt really bad. She made up for it with her 20 min leg massage though. I ended up paying 36$ (46$ with tip) after adding the 5$ for callous remover. They don't talk to you at all during the service though. Just sit back and watch tv. Overall not bad if you walk in last minute & need a quick fix. read more

Despite KC Nails being highly recommended by a coworker, I was very disappointed in the service here. I went in expecting a full chair pedicure with my sister and a friend, however all the nice pedicure chairs were occupied. We were never asked if we were willing to wait for a chair, which we were. Instead, they just put us in regular chairs and our pedicures were done in buckets. Finally, a chair opened and my sister asked if she would be moving to the other chair, so they said yes. However, as other chairs opened, we were not asked if we wanted to move, and we were expected to pay the full pedicure rate. My sister brought this up to the manager and she said we were all asked if we wanted to move, which we weren't. I understand that it was very busy today, however that is no excuse for poor customer service. read more

I started going here because I got a good review from a friend/coworker. I have been going here to get acrylics for a few months now and every time I go in someone different does my nails, I get great service and am happy with my nails. But the past couple times I've gone in the same lady has done my nails she does a great job and makes good conversation. But when its time to pay she begs for a tip. You shouldn't beg your customers for tips and there shouldn't be a problem if a customer wants to put a tip on their card. If someone tips you it means you did your job right and the customer was happy with the service they got. If you beg for a tip not once but twice and then make it a problem when the customer wants to put a tip on their card you're not giving great service and you most likely just lost a customer. I had the worst experience!!! I just recently moved to Anaheim Hills and I was looking for a new nail tech.. I called and asked for an experienced nail tech. The older lady over the phone said "don't worry we take good care of u and all my girls are really good!!"... WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I got a nail tech that was on her phone the majority of the time, not only did my nails look like shit!, she didn't bother to ask if I wanted square or round! she made her own shape!, my cuticles were all swollen and bleeding from her cutting them with her file my skin on the sides of my fingers were also sliced from her file! I would honestly give this place a one star but they did my daughters nails nice (it's hard to mess-up an 8yr olds nails). I wanted a color change on my acrylics and somehow the lady thought I wanted to take my acrylics off. When I told her, she realized her error and apologized and said she would fix it. I said ok and continued on (not mad at this point) She had to add powder and reshape all my nails to make them even... When I went to pay she wanted to charge me for the work she did. I said all I wanted was a color change and she proceeded to tell me that she had to add powder and reshape the nails, I told her that was because her error not mine. She semi disagreed with me and argued her charging reasons but eventually lowered her charge to $10. I was over it and just said sure... As if that wasn't enough she asked for me to take money out of the ATM so I didn't add the tip on my card! I said just charge my card please I'll write it in. Apparently she asked me how much out loud as she's walking to the machine but I did not understand as she is wearing a mask. When she came back she said she had just charged me for my nails and my daughters nails... no tip because I didn't answer her. So now the lady who did my daughters nails got screwed too... I walked in, and waited a few minutes. I got a gel french manicure, and a pedicure. They're quite inexpensive for gel manicures. The only thing is that the dryer felt like it was burning my nails and I didn't even have my hands in there that long. I told the lady who was doing my pedicure, (I had two different ladies working on me, I guess I am a diva that way- even though I didn't ask for two different ladies) to massage the ball of my left foot, because it was in pain, and she did just that so I am glad that was addressed. I also am not too picky since I believe that these ladies probably don't get paid a whole lot to scrub other people's feet. $25 for Spa Mani-Pedi. Extra $4 for scrubbing the dry heels. However, the color selection is unacceptable. Also my pinky toe was bleeding and the woman tried to ignore it & when I said, "Hey, I'm bleeding," she tried to minimize it. May is the best nail lady for acrylics. She is my favorite at Kc Nails. She is so wonderful and does the best job ever!

I would give a zero if I could, and I have never given a low score in my life. Second time I went here and my friend said they were good. First time was ok, and they were close. Horrible manicure only included paint, seriously. Gel removal disaster, too, soaked my nails in acetone and scraped my nail and filed my skin. I didn't know it was possible for a nail to hurt. They didn't even get all the gel off. Manicure time, but then they didnt do anything but paint, and I mean anything. They didn't cut my nails, clean them, soak them, buff, nothing! Not even a message, lotion, oil, or top filing...I meant nothing. What am I paying for? Told the lady my nails were rough and the gel was in the corner. She asked me to pay before she continued so my nails would be nice. Nope. She only painted and left. I was shocked. I couldn't have offended her, and it wasn't busy. I tipped huge last time, what was going on? The paint job was also messy. Avoid at all costs, you will regret going, I do and my nails still hurt...an hour and a half later. $12 for regular paint, not a manicure. Dirty area, too. Off to find a new place... read more

My review is for Marisa. I would normally just let whoever was available do my nails and it was always a hit or miss to end up liking it. But since having Marisa taking care of my "troubled toes" I will come more often and ONLY have her take are of me. She does an awesome job. I made an appointment and when showed up four minutes early she (I think she the owner) said that I came too early and asked me to wait 10 minutes, but I ended up waiting for 25 minutes. She can't communicate in English very well, when I ask her to do something she acts like she understood but she does something else and gets very angry when I correct her. Most of the employees who work there are not good at what they do. They ask for tips in cash. Use of credit cards are discouraged. I will never go there again. read more

I am surprised by the poor reviews of this nail salon. Granted the decor leaves much to be desired and the nail polish selection is limited. However I have always been very happy with my nails. I use Lynn for my fills and she is hands down the best nail person I have ever had my nails look consistently good every time. I am always receiving compliments on my manicure to the point of people questioning if they are real ( their not). I can't speak on the other manicurist there but Lynn is wonderful. read more

My daughter and I went to try this nail salon, because my daughter had a gift certificate. I have to say it was the worst mani/pedi experience ever! First, it was soooooo crowded and busy in there that there was no room to move around. Second, apparently the staff doesn't get a lunch break... one manager type woman was walking around with a bon mi sandwich ripping pieces off and feeding it to them as they opened their mouths like baby birds. Very very strange. I had to use the restroom and literally had to climb over people and chairs to get to the restroom. Inside.. the restroom was SICK (and not in a good way..)!!!Finally after waiting with a green snotty nosed screaming toddler (supervised by an 8 year old while Mommy was getting her nails done... poor baby), I get to get my mani/pedi. The woman doing my nails proceeds to talk on the phone almost the entire time making appointments. Meanwhile... the toddler will not stop screaming (he's sick and should be home in bed), so four or five workers and the mother all start singing "If Your Happy and You Know it" repeating all of the verses over and over and over for entirely too long!!! Then.. the Piece de resistance... my daughter's manicure was finished and they told her that they didn't have a chair for her, but she could get her manicure done sitting in the rolling chair she was in... no water soak, no cozy comfyness... nothin! My daughter said "NO THANKS" and paid with her gift certificate and we left. Seriously.... not a good experience and not a good manicure or pedicure. I suggest you go somewhere else... read more
