I have been going to KC nails since i was 11 years old to get my eyebrows waxed. not only that but i have had multiple pedicures, manicures, acrylics, eyelash extensions, waxing, many things done here. i have NEVER once been disappointed by anyone here and i highly recommend anyone who is struggling to find a nail place to come here. in 10 years not one of my nails have fallen off and i usually have them on for 2-3 weeks before a fill. i love everyone here and they know me by my voice even if i call them on the phone. i have gotten to know them personally over 10 years and they are all great people. they will never make you feel uncomfortable here. i recommend coming here! read more

Sorry I have to disagree with that last post. I have been going to KC Nails for 2 years and I have not found another place in Orange County that compares. I do spend a lot on my nails/pedicures/waxing but it is a necessity for me as this is my pampering/upkeep for the month. I get the Gel acrylic nails and I get a ton of compliments and it is all thanks to Lynn my nail girl who also does my eyebrow waxing. My pedicures are done by Cindy and what I love is being able to call them with short notice and them fit me in their schedule. Now that is some great customer service too! read more

I first started coming here out of convenience because it is close to home, but now I wouldn't go anywhere else! The ladies in here are so sweet and anytime I bring my daughter in with me they all treat her as if she is their own, sharing snacks with her and all lol. Personally, I go to Mae for my gel manicures or acrylic sets and Diana for my pedicures. Mae does an amazing job and she is so fun to talk to, I'm always excited to see how perfect my nails turn out every few weeks. Diana is a pedicure perfectionist and makes the best flower designs I've ever seen! I always look forward to my appointments and definitely recommend them to everyone :) read more

This for Tammy and her service for her eyelash extensions: me and coworkers go here because she does such a good job. Her initial application takes 2 hours for $80 and the refills take an hour and a half for $35. This is really cheap especially for the quality she provides. The first 2 weeks I got them, I got complemented on them all the time and others even asked me if they were real because Tammy makes it look so natural. It lasted about 5 weeks before I got them refilled. When I went back to refill them, she made me wait 15-20 minutes and they have been falling off faster. If i could give this place a -100 i would. DO NOT VENTURE INTO THIS PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR AN BUSINESS. First of all I walked in , they were too busy to even answer my questions. I was straight up ignored by this one lady. The lady who attended me for a gel manicure gave me super hot water to soak my hands in and got annoyed when i told her so. She starts carelessly digging into my nail beds and tore up my thumb pretty badly. ( this can cause infections , and this place is not the most clean to begin with) I asked for a discount for my pain , she laughed at me then said " You are always bugging me" Really??? She then got angry at ME and blamed it on a hangnail . Could she be any more ignorant ?? Hangnails do not occur on the front part of the cuticle .... I allowed her to finish the manicure ( while she acted very rudely still) In the end I told her she was rude and gave sh**ty service. She literally started screaming at me and made a scene. I should not have even paid her .... Save yourself the time and hard earned cash and do not go here. These women cannot even speak proper english and do not know who to treat a costumer. Have had many of this incidents know.... P.S. There was a cute little old lady next to me in a wheel chair , could not get her frail hand into the UV light box. Her nail lady then began to jam her hand into it , and she had to cry out , " Stop your hurting me!!" Worst experience of my life . Should be shut down . read more

Long story short, I was unimpressed and even peeved at their sloppy service as my nail beds are burning, and I will not ever ever ever go back. Ever. As I am writing this review I'm waiting for my friends to come out of the salon and cannot even cross my legs because they are covered in some strange oil from the pedicure that, for some reason, they decided to rub in over my knees area up into my thigh area, but that's not even what pissed me off initially. I would like to disclaim the following criticism with the fact that I am a cosmetologist and am well aware of how to give a proper manicure and what the different functions are of the different nail products I asked for them to use. As we walked in they suggested that we have gel manicures which , at that point neither of us confirmed or denied that was our plan. The pedicure is short and what I asked for but when I told my nail tech what I wanted on my finger nails (a small clear moon at the bottom with the rest hot pink, and yes - I had a picture of what I wanted) she told me that my nails weren't long enough. I asked what she meant because this didn't make sense to me, she then yelled in a foreign language to another manicurist who then told me she was going to my nails. When I asked the second manicurist for a regular manicure with a gel top coat, they told me that a gel manicure is 25$ and that they can do a gel top coat for five extra dollar but that it wouldn't do good and said something I couldn't understand about acrylics. I then asked them if they meant that procedure is usually done with acrylics they said no and then convinced me to just have a regular manicure. As she began to work on my fingers, she considerably buffed my nail bed (which I was taught in cosmetology school is not okay to do to the natural nail,) and then proceeded to file down my free edge which was already considerably short. When my nails started to burn because they were filed so short, I thanked them and left without a manicure. I would refrain from going here even for the simplest of services of I were you. read more

I will no longer go to KC nails because Paula no longer works there. She has recently transferred to Nails Unique on Tustin because of the drama at KC nails. The women that work at KC nails are very jealous of Paula's loyal customers that would go there just to see Paula. I am one of those customers that only went to KC nails because of Paula. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't ever go there because those women are like vultures. They haggle you for every service. I recently moved to San Diego and I refuse to get my nails done by anyone else but Paula. Once you find someone that does a great job, you have to stick with them. I got my nails done this morning at Nails Unique and it is clean, it has updated massage chairs, the women that work there are friendly, but most importantly, it is a good working environment for the staff because the women aren't catty. I don't typically go out of my way to write reviews about anything, but I would NOT recommend KC nails to anyone. read more

I've been going to KC Nails since I returned home to SoCal after spending 7 years in Kansas with the hubby. I've got to say that they do the BEST job! I see Anne on a bi-weekly basis for my pink & white fills and she is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!! She takes care of me. She's very sweet. She's all about making you feel like you're the most important. She always makes it a point to tell me that she wants me to be 100% satisfied with her work - an of course I always am. I've gotten a pedicure done once, and so far so great! There is a lady who works there - she is half American half Vietnamese (she looks more American) and she did my pedicure and applied the cutest designs on my toes w/ rhinestones. Anne's mother is also great at doing pedicures. I've seen her work. Anyway ..... I've got to give them 5 stars ........ very clean, very friendly, VERY GOOD! read more

This review is for Marisa. She does the best manicure, pedicure, facial, wax, and so on. She is very sweet, always smiling, very professional, talented, and have years of experience in this field. The rest of the employees keep on talking in their language making customers feel uncomfortable, keep talking over te phone, unfriendly, not greeting customers, don't even know proper English, keep fighting among themselves for tips, money, taking turns, and so on. Ok so I've been coming here for about 7 months now with my co worker who has been coming here for years. I was skeptical about getting acrylic over my nails because I didn't think I would keep them up. I love having my nails long but can't seem to keep them that way because I always had my hands in water and scrubbing dogs (I work at near by Taj Mapaw Spaw) but my co worker always gets the acrylic because she still looks feeling like a "girlie girl" so I decided to try it out and I haven't stopped since. Now everyone always has their "favorite" person that gives them that "100% service" we all look forward to but for me I love Tammy we are both moms so we have alot to talk about when I see her (every 2 weeks) and she has never disappointed me my nails always look fantastic and stay that way (at least till that 9th day when they start growing out too long and I hit them with dremel while filing a pups nails) but I love Tammy and never have to worry when I sit down in that chair!! read more

I've gone to this place a few times and I didn't really have a problem but there was one lady in the back corner, her name was Lin who was very rude and she probably will leave you in the middle of doing your nails if you look like you won't give her a high tip. I made an appointment and when I got there she started talking about me with all the other workers which embarrassed me because I asked that I wanted gel nails and then she was talking to the manger in their language and said no I have another customer. In the past I asked for her name and she was rude and started walking away and gave me a fake name. I liked how she designed which is why I wanted her to do my nails but after today and how rude she was, she lost my business. read more

I needed a pedicure bad. So I walked in and the lady that greeted me was nice. Asked me to pick color. As I turned to select from the wall of nail color. Anne said to the lady she had just finished "Get up I need the chair"! To which the customer said "what"? I also turned and Anne said "i need you to get up I need the chair, you can go over there to let you toes dry"! The customer was taken back by the rudeness as I was. I knew that Anne was trying to move her so she could get me as her next customer. I was told by Anne to sit at her station #6. The nice lady at front desk ran over to help the customer slip on her sandals. He lady did not want to wait so they sprayed her toes with aerosol nail dryer. As the customer got up she said to nice lady "I will never come back her because of that rude woman" i mouthed to the lady I was sorry and she mouthed back its not your fault. So i thought it ended there but no. The nice lady started to talk very loud and stern to Anne (the rude employee) then they started to yell in Vietnamese back in forth. Other employees tried to get them to stop but it kept on for a few Minutes. Very uncomfortable and not vert relaxing to have to deal with! Now i did come here a year or so ago... But stopped because Anne would be my manicurist and tell me how the ladies there hate her and she does not care about the business just having a job because she has bills to pay. I did complain to them but she is still there. So I want to say that Anne is a problem and rude and there is some kind of battle going on and its at the cost of the customer and the customers relaxing time getting pampered. Again its not all but one so a avoid her.... Tammy is very good if you want a name of someone that is fantastic there! BTW one star given for being treated nicely at the door! read more

Best place to go for great eyelash extensions at a decent price! I've been going to Chao for about 2 years now and every single time they come out great! Before going here I went to a different place close by and the quality of service and lash detail I received each time seemed to be based upon whether the girl was in a good mood or not! Never knew what I was going to get. I know that every time I go to Chao my eyelashes will come out great even if the salon is swamped and she's probably exhausted. I respect and appreciate her work ethic! I recommend her to anyone looking for eyelash extensions! Also if you have really sensitive eyes like I do, it doesn't burn at all when she does them! i got a pedicure and got gel done on my toes but it was not done very well. she didn't clean my cuticles and when she applied the nail polish it looks like a 5-year old had done my toes. my gel nail polish is dried over my cuticle and is already chipping from just one day of wear. read more
