Came in on a quiet evening after the gym. I was impressed with how quickly my food was out to me. They have egg drop soup for free. So I dished myself up. I could barely get into my first bites of the soup before my teriyaki was brought out to me. The bad. I did have a few bites of grizzle that I chewed on and it was a little light on the teriyaki sauce. Besides that, chicken was on point. Char pieces and good cuts of meat presented. The egg rolls were pretty standard to most places but the sauce seemed a little watered down. Egg drop soup was also on point. Done well and tasted great considering it was in a warming tub probably prepared earlier in the day. The salad was fresh and the dressing was spot on to the typical mayo based recipe out there. Delish! Establishment seemed clean and the prices were fair in my opinion. Chicken teriyaki with salad, egg rolls and a soda ran me 23 bucks. Plus I got the free soup. I'll definitely be returning as I come down regularly for work. Hope to not get anymore grisly pieces as that would be a real disappointment. Not typical from my teriyaki experiences in the past. First time checkout KC Teriyaki in Vancouver. Nice clean front establishment. So many options to try. I ordered the Teriyaki Bowl. It was plentiful of Chicken,rice, veggies and Cabbage. I also ordered a side of Gyzoa (aka pot stickers) you get 8 pieces. They were delicious, had slight crunch to the paper. Not so sure they were supposed to be crunchy. But flavor was good. I also ordered for my husband, the Combination Plate of Chicken and General Tao. The plate had plenty of rice and chicken. It also came with a Ginger Salad. Overall, flavors were delicious. In a world full of Ichi and Joy Teriyakis, it's nice to visit a smaller outfit. With just mom and pop working here, it is truly an authentic experience. I got the chicken and beef combo and it was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and everything was cooked well. The owners act like they own the front parking spots. There are many paying patrons that go to this strip mall that could use these spots. Especially the parents that drop their kids off at Mathnasium next door. Instead the kids have to walk across the busy street. Be respectful of others! read more

Called in order for ChickenTeriyaki with Yakisoba Noodles And Gyozas. When I returned home realized I had no chicken with my yakisoba noodles. I went back with my order, the woman working opened box kept pointing at pictures she understood but then tried to say i owed $7.00 more for chicken teriyaki. I said, i paid $23.00 -I'm not paying more! She grabs my container-stomps off to back; not even a minute later says: "here! this good! ". First of all1 this is horrible customer service! I've wasted my time and GAS to go back for their mistake - then try to charge me more! My foods cold AF because I live across town. No apologies! No let us make it right for you! Nothing! The take-out spicy chicken bento was crispy from over cooking, I poured off a cup of grease, the vegetables were so over cooked the were mush and brown. Flavor of chicken was slightly rancid. Maybe that is why they cooked it so hard? Not going back. read more

I saying this, if you find I added a photo of something or even checked in at a particular place and did not write a negative review then you can assume from me that it was at least "acceptable" As for KC and this review, I am sharing because I have found this restaurant to be above average in both value, friendliness of service and quality of food. This food is really good and fresh. I've become skeptical having moved to the PNW when "spicy" is listed (it's usually not at all spicy) but I love their hot and spicy chicken breast. The staff is incredibly friendly, service is prompt and the food portions are quite large, enough to get two meals out of. The prices are very fair for what is provided and having been here four times the past three weeks, the food is consistent. A winner! My problem? I have a favorite dish and I'm hard pressed to deviate but I'm sure it's all great read more

I met my husband here for lunch recently and was surprised at how delicious and fresh my chicken yakisoba dish was! My husband loved his chicken bento lunch with Asian salad. This teriyaki spot is the best in town. The portion size is insane for the price and beats all of the other places. Taste is always great. She will let you make any customization for a small charge. The salad dressing is to die for. I tried the chicken bowl, short ribs plate, katsu and spicy pork and all of it was fantastic. I have had a lot of teriyaki places and this one has the best value AND taste. TL;DR fantastic portions for the price with great quality tasting food. read more

On a scale of one to yum I would definitely say yum. A classic teriyaki chicken joint- they have their "staple" menu items and the complimentary egg flour soup before the meal (which I always enjoy), in a convenient location. I got the spicy chicken teriyaki -boy was that the truth! My eyes watered and my nose was runny. It was very good but you better believe I was chugging down water with every bite. The chicken had good flavor, not a lot of fat on it (which I appreciated) and they have extremely large portions-I took half my meal home and ate it later. Two large scoops of rice (you can opt for brown rice), and a side salad (too much dressing so next time I'll ask for less). I also noticed you can get your meat, rice and veggies in a smaller bowl if that's your preference. The staff were friendly and thanked us for our business. I'm glad I tried it! It's close to where I live and shop (near a target which is extremely convenient) -but next time I'll get the regular teriyaki vs spicy. read more

Affordable, Great portion size, and delicious. Three things that everyone should weigh when eating out! This little joint has all three. I am a fan. The spicy chicken and the teriyaki chicken plates are the choices that I normally lean towards. 1. The Platter - With any choice you get a cup of soup that you can enjoy while your food is cooking. A side salad that is smothered (the good way) with the poppy seed dressing. Two scoops of white rice and more chicken then you know what to do with drenched in delicious teriyaki sauce. 2. The People - SO GREAT. Staff is extremely friendly 3. The Seating - Only sits 40, but the place is always pretty busy with turning tables that it shouldn't be a problem. read more

If you can tolerate the Christian radio station playing overhead, these guys serve up some pretty good teriyaki chicken. They were ok with giving me extra salad instead of rice but the dressing was a little sweet for my personal taste. I will have them hold it next time. The price is right: $7 for a huge plate of really good food. There is plenty of sriracha and extra teriyaki at each table to keep the "sauce whores" happy (you know who you are). Woman who worked the front kick me and my boyfriend out an hour before closing while we were dining in. She was not very welcoming from the start and literally came over and put all our food in boxes as we were still eating and had additional wait staff surrounding our table ushering us out. I could understand if they were having to push tables together and it was taking a server's entire section up, but that's not how this place operates. When I inquired about where it's posted that this is standard practice, I was only showed the bill, which we had to ask for twice before seeing it. I normally tip 15-20% depending on quality of service; however, forcing a tip on me becuase there's 5 of us is theft. 1 of our group didn't even order a meal. We won't be going back to be robbed again. Edit - After calling and speaking with the so called manager, I was told that the automatic gratuity is standard and there's no one above her that I could speak with no matter where or who I called. No corporate, no owner, just her. She also told me that they were short staffed on this particular evening, which is more grounds to not expect $42 tip, when service is lacking due to lack of staff. I've worked in this industry for 30 years. I know how much staff rely on tips, but this isn't the way. I may have left a $50 tip, if it was earned, but not when it's forced and especially not when it's forced and not earned. Manager told me they'd refund half my tip and I wasn't welcome back. Bye

My husband and I moved here 1 month ago and discovered KC Teriyaki when we were shopping in the area. In that time we've been there at least 6 times. The food is delicious and doesn't feel "heavy", the portions are huge (we always have leftovers for the next day), they have free egg drop soup while you wait (which is why we never call ahead, we want to sit and eat the delicious soup), and the staff is always very friendly. Excellent food, great prices, friendly service, free soup...I can't say enough good things about this place and we will definitely be going back. read more

I've been coming here ever since they opened about 5 years ago, and every single time it's been excellent! I recommend this place to anyone that's getting their teriyaki somewhere else and it changes their life. Huge portions, clean place, and super friendly staff. Can't go wrong with this place with anything on their menu. Highly recommended. read more
