An easy drive from our house, the reviews suggested this would be an ideal spot for teriyaki. I decided to order in house. The lady working the register and running orders (literally) to the tables (there are a reasonable number of them for large parties if you tend towards group teriyaki outings) was really nice and got my order perfectly. Food prices have risen, and I don't think it's fair to pin the blame on individual businesses so that places no bearing on my review. 28 is no different. I paid about $15 per order of chicken teriyaki with a side of fried rice. Sadly, they use Styrofoam which adds a guilt factor into ordering from them. But that may be a moot point considering the food was just okay. I ordered from them almost two weeks ago and even squinting at the pic I took, I have nearly no memory of it on my palate. I have never been so disappointed in a meal before. We had some errands to run and we were too lazy to cook so we opted to order take out from here as we've always wanted to give it a try. Not too busy for a weekday. Price was pretty pricey, so we expected the portions to be big and the flavors to be average, at least. We ate it home and omlord, it was freaking smallllllll. We both left no trace of the meal and we were still hungry afterwards. I'm sorry, but for ~$15 a plate, that was way too much. For the quality, we might've as well cooked at home. Inflation ya'll. I've eaten at most of the Ichi Teriyaki's in the area, but this is by far best! The floors and tables were clean, the staff was very friendly and the meat, which tends to be over charred and over cooked at the other stores was perfect -moist, tender and delicious. The bottles of sauce at each table were clean -no gunk, no sticky film!! I can't tell you how gross the bottles tend to be at other Ichis. At the downtown location, I've had to wipe my own table down while the new owners were sitting at a table watching videos on their laptop and talking to each other after the lunch rush. Here, the lady working the front was out on the floor cleaning tables and checking in people every time she got a break I'll be back here frequently! read more

First time coming here because I was craving Chinese food. They didn't disappoint! I ordered chicken katsu, chicken yakisoba, chicken teriyaki and egg rolls. It was all great! Coming from Hawaii , I'd never thought I get to eat katsu but here at Ichi Yakisoba, the taste and texture reminded me of home. I just wished that they serve macaroni salad instead as a side dish. Other than that, my kiddo enjoyed the teriyaki and I wolfed down the egg rolls pretty fast. I will come back to this place for sure. The restaurant is only for takeout. I would give zero if I could. The food was bland at best... We spent $46 here and it wasn't worth it. I could have gotten better food from a Starbucks! The lady behind the counter was super rude to us as well when we used a credit card as if it wasn't good enough for her... We came in at 8pm and they close at 9pm... we didn't get our food until 820 and by 830 she was wanting us to box up our food saying the dining room closes at 830pm... then why don't you post it on your door! These places are run by some greedy angry owners, and employees. This one is no exception. It was lunch time, so we went in looking for a nice meal, and we try to eat small, so we do not fill up, and become fat, and tired, so we order or try to order food that meets our needs, and if i am going to eat a small amount of food, i look for a cheap way to do. Hell who doesn't. " no lunch specials on the weekend" which is a sign of looking for greedy anyways you can. Like there is no lunch time on the week ends. I was met with passive aggressive behavior, treated like i was poor trash, cause i didnt wanna pay $10 a plate for chicken, a huge inexpensive pile of rice, and a even cheaper iceburg lettuce salad covered in a cheap 2 ingredient dressing loaded with sugar. Once again the mark up, on the food bought in most asian rest. is insane. This one is the same. We used to go to a different ichi, but when i asked for a thing of sriracha sauce, the lady behind the counter literally threw it at me, cause it was to much of a struggle to keep a happy polite attitude, after getting my money. That lady was extremely nice till money was exchanged, then she acted like asking for anything else was beneath her. I would say the food is decent, like all other teriyaki places in the couve, but once again prices are to high, and the attitude was terrible. My girl friend asked for just egg rolls, and she treated her poorly, cause all she wanted was 2 egg rolls, and not two orders of egg rolls. I order a kids meal, cause lets face it, that's about all we need in a meal, and when the order was ready, she said in a humiliating tone, here is your child's meal. Love how people today, can be so politely angry, and when someone who has experienced enough life to understand when someone is being mean, calls em out on it, they try to hide behind the fact they did not react in a emotional way, even though their response shows disrespect. Once again the food is good, but the prices are to high, and if you shop in a way that meets your waistline or budget, they will be angry they had to sell you something for less then 10 dollars. People would make alot more money in life if the offered enough of a reason to entice people to return daily, if not several times a day, cause lets face it, who really wants to cook anymore. If you look at some other countries, the prices are so affordable, people eat out every meal. That will never happen in america, cause everyone wants so much money now, rather then realizing small amounts more often means more money, then asking for a large amount one time. When the hankering hits me, I don't want anything super fancy or expensive--I want quality food for an affordable price that I can pick up in my pajamas. Ichi teriyaki fulfills all my needs, thank the Lord! The food is absolutely amazing, and I would recommend it to anyone. But you won't break the bank, and you don't have to wear fancy pants. I had really poor customer service here and i got treated like garbage. food was decent But the cashier lady really gave me attitude after asking how much it would be for exchanging white rice for fried rice and when she told me it would be 5 dollars extra, I dint want it anymore And that's when the service started going bad I saw two customers behind me get theyr food first she treated others around me better by asking how the food was she even took plates from them so they wouldn't have to walk to the pile of plates I was having some of the free soup they give and on my second bowl they asked me to stop getting soup or they would charge me for any extra that I get then she had two of the cooks to take a look at how much soup was left like if I really ate the whole pot of soup and they just gave me dirty looks and nodded theyr head at me All because I changed my mind on the fried rice:( read more

We were really happy when this restaurant opened so close to home. The food is fresh, fast, and delicious. The inside sitting area is clean and bright, and the restrooms are new and beautiful. Even though this is in a strip mall, it's quite nice to sit and eat here. I've had the chicken teriyaki and the chicken yakisoba noodles, and they are really tasty. Call in to order there Togo, and I ordered a spicy chicken I asked the lady how much it would cost with extra chicken and she said 2.25. So I said okay can I please add extra chicken and add extra broccoli I figured that broccoli shouldn't be more expensive then chicken. My boyfriend went in and pick it up and he paid $17.60 ??? $17.60 for an teriyaki chicken entre... so I try to the math here the entre was $9.99 and add $2.25 for the extra chicken and $2 for the broccoli with 8.4 tax equal $15.50 and I got charge $17.60 ???? I know I know $2.10 and was not a lot for someone but for me I think this is ripped off and scam I dont mind paying that if she would state the price right for God sake she told me one price on the phone and she charge another price there.
