My MIL loves this place and has been coming here for years so when we asked to take her to lunch she wanted to come here. It's really a nice looking place inside and spacious. Service was really friendly and prompt as well. They have some nice combinations and the prices were fine. Pretty standard fare done well though. It's a solid spot so I see why she enjoys it. read more

Was excited to see another teriyaki restaurant. It's frustrating knowing you can get good teriyaki from almost any place that sells it in Seattle but have to search relentlessly for it in this part of WA. And sadly, we're going to have to continue to search. I ordered 2 chicken teriyaki bowls, a side of fried rice, a side of yakisoba noodles and an order of chicken yaki udon. My BF graciously went to pick it up and it came in one plastic bag, one paper bag and everything in reusable plastic. We ate the teriyaki first and it wasn't bad. It contained steamed rice with teriyaki sauce over cabbage, carrot and chicken. It was okay but hardly memorable. The rest was something we'd never order again. The fried rice contained egg, peas and carrots. But it had very little flavor so I ended up re-inventing it with sesame oil, egg and shoyu a few days later since we had no appetite for eating it as is. The yaki udon had nice pieces of teriyaki chicken in it but the noodles were strings of wheat noodle, not udon mixed with cabbage and onion. They were definitely not what I expected and neither of us particularly enjoyed it. The worst, though, was the side of yakisoba. It fell out of its container onto the plate in an unappetizing square shaped lump soaked with reddish oil. It was weird sweet and vinegary. I hate wasting and ended up mixing it with the other noodles to make them edible. Sadly, we don't care to relive this experience, so we won't be returning. read more

I love teriyaki chicken. Has been my favorite go to dish for lunch. Youskyme Teriyaki has excellent teriyaki chicken (I had the spicy chicken teriyaki chicken). Stopped in before a lunch with a client and got two orders to go. Quick service, friendly, good portion and tasty. Client liked it too. Highly recommend them for your next craving of teriyaki. read more

One of my favorite places to get teriyaki chicken! I always get the lunch special that comes with teriyaki chicken, rice, stir fried veggies and gyozas. I have now also converted my wife and kids to the Cult of Youskyme, and we are all addicted. We've been ordering regularly during COVID-19, in order to ensure that they stay afloat during these troubled times. Gauging their survivability based on the size and number of take-out orders I have seen them distributing during my recent visits, they seem to be doing just fine. Absolute winners on the menu: * Beef yakisoba (no mushrooms for me!) and two sides of the hot chili sauce to mix in * Hot chicken bowl * Teriyaki beef bowl (I swear, it's almost like bulgogi...fantastic!) * Gyoza plate - they have no business being this good. Again, the hot chili sauce is the go-to dipper! * The kids go nuts for the Chicken Katsu I will sum up Youskyme in a quote often heard around our dinner table: "I could eat this every night!" My husband is always in search of the best teriyaki beef short ribs... we came across this place after many, many disappointing teriyaki restaurant experiences. To our hearts delight, this stuff was so fresh, flavorful, tender, and cooked perfectly... It's now our staple and is the only teriyaki place we will go to in Vancouver. We love supporting local business and the owners here are just so gracious and thankful for our patronage! Times are tough right now, so get out and support local businesses. This place is my step mom's favorite. She swears by the spicy chicken but isn't a fan of the steamed veggies. I find their teriyaki to be decent but not great. I give it about a 7.5 out of 10 on my teriyaki chicken scale. Chicken 2.5/3 Sauce 2.5/3 Sides 2/3 Value .5/1 I'm tempered to drop it a bit more because the prices are up to $15 per plate, but I know they are just trying to stay open in inflationary times. Give them a try and see if you like them. read more

If you haven't been here, you need to go! What I love most about Youskyme is that the food is always fresh. You can tell that the ingredients are high quality, and the staff takes great care in preparing each dish. My family and I have been going to Youskyme for years, and we've never been disappointed. Lovely decor and setting. Had the chicken teriyaki and it came out very hot and looked delicious. As I looked at my late I could help but see the small portions and then I remembered the price and I gasped. As I finished my dinner (because the portion was so small) I looked around at others plates and theirs were also very small. So I felt the food was also overpriced for what you got. This is a great place to get your teriyaki grub on. It's been a go to place for me for about 15 years now. The service and family that runs the place is super friendly. I ordered the hot chicken with gyosa this time and it was pretty good. Most of the time I order the yakisoba noodles which are super delicious. The waitress today was super sweet and asked me if I wanted a Mt. Dew refill. They have great lunch specials with decent prices. My lunch also came with rice and cooked cabbage. It also nice to hear the Christian music they play if you eat in. read more

Went on a gyoza binge with a friend. Excellent service and speed and gyoza. No judgment from staff that we EACH went though about 15 gyoza. Way to be. And the gyoza comes in an adorable little boat plate. 10/10 Interesting choice to be playing contemporary gospel but didn't really care because the gyoza was great. Atmosphere is bland, suburban shopping mall boring with and overlay of Christian country radio plus advertising. I had teriyaki chicken. Rice was gummy, chicken dry and overcooked with goopy sauce the bought at the Walmart across the parking lot. Bad food. read more

Wow. I was feeling hungry and thought, "I haven't had Teriyaki in a while." So, I drove past my usual Wally World and came across this gem. Mmm, teriyaki. I pulled right in and approached with some apprehension. Some places are hit and miss (Ichi, I'm looking at you), but had a good feeling. The interior is kinda dark, because of the color scheme, but it's overall pretty modern. I like it. The girl taking my order seems happy, and very helpful. I forked over eight dollars for a teriyaki chicken lunch. Seems about right, I think. Within five minutes of sitting down, my food was at my table (table side service, nice!) The food is good; the chicken is a little dry, the mixed veg is okay, but bland, and the rice is rice with extra rice flavor. So, I probably need to sample more, but I recommend that you come down and give this place a shot. read more

This is a sort of a japanese bento place, but the owners are korean, so they have some korean dishes such as Korean Barbeque (Kalbi) and such... The best item on the menu is the korean bbq (Kalbi). It's also called Teriyaki Beef Ribs. This is one of the best places I've been to in the Portland metro area for this dish. Not quite as good as the some of the places in Koreatown in Los Angeles, but I find it to be much better than some of the korean restaurants on Watson in beaverton. The Bulgogi (similar to korean bbq, but thinner slices of beef, and no bones), is pretty good here too, but I like the Kalbi the best. (This place is in a strip mall, directly across from Subway. Best chicken and rice in Vancouver. Owners and staff are friendly and helpful. Food is cooked perfectly every single time. They have a homemade hot sauce that is to die for and goes well on everything. If you are in the mood for chicken and rice or yakisoba, this is the place to go, 100%. This place wasn't at all what I expected it to be. I had driven by hundreds of times and it always looked like a nice sit down place. Finally decided to check it out with my sister only to find out you order at the counter like any standard teriyaki joint and they bring it to you. We both ordered the bento box. It was full of rice and steamed veggies, a not even close to generous serving of chicken, a decent amount of beef, and an overly peppered eggroll. The price was comparable to other teriyaki locations and the food was pretty good. I was able to eat the whole thing but my sister got half to go. Would I go here again? Maybe. The location is convenient to my house. I think you get much better portions elsewhere though. read more

Food was great and the ladies that took care of me were beyond kind. Went out of their way to make sure my daughter, lady And myself were doing great. I had a small correction with my food and they made my night. Great food, great prices, and phenomenol service. You will feel like a dummy if you dont stop in. Everything was going well. Chef came out and was okay. Definitely not the best we've had, but the food was good. Had to ask twice to get the bill. The restuarant had a couple more grills going, but still not busy by industry standards. Finally got the bill and they've added a $42 tip, for a "large" group. 5 people is not a large group, especially considering their grills seat 12 people and they always clump different groups together. I could understand if they were having to push tables together and it was taking a server's entire section up, but that's not how this place operates. When I inquired about where it's posted that this is standard practice, I was only showed the bill, which we had to ask for twice before seeing it. I normally tip 15-20% depending on quality of service; however, forcing a tip on me becuase there's 5 of us is theft. 1 of our group didn't even order a meal. We won't be going back to be robbed again. Edit - After calling and speaking with the so called manager, I was told that the automatic gratuity is standard and there's no one above her that I could speak with no matter where or who I called. No corporate, no owner, just her. She also told me that they were short staffed on this particular evening, which is more grounds to not expect $42 tip, when service is lacking due to lack of staff. I've worked in this industry for 30 years. I know how much staff rely on tips, but this isn't the way. I may have left a $50 tip, if it was earned, but not when it's forced and especially not when it's forced and not earned. Manager told me they'd refund half my tip and I wasn't welcome back. Bye

Just went here for the first time and ordered the hot chicken and gyoza to go. I'm pretty sure I just paid $20 for 2 boxes of white rice and bland white chicken with some cabbage on the side. It had some watery teriyaki sauce on it that wasn't spicy at all. The girl at the counter had a rude attitude with me and my boyfriend and seemed annoyed that we were there, even though we were the only customers in the middle of the afternoon. She told us it costs extra for hot sauce packets so I didn't get them, but I wish I had. I felt stupid for buying something that I could have easily made at home. There was nothing "Asian" about the food. I guess it's good if you're into that sort of thing, but after reading the reviews I was expecting really awesome teriyaki. read more

Super good food that is always fresh! The really sweet girl with pretty make up told me that the teriyaki sauce is house-made which made me feel inclined to purchase a 16oz of the delicious sauce! Always great service here, love all the smiles and how the employees love to chat and get to know you. They are very personable and friendly. Never had a bad experience and will be a loyal customer for years to come! read more
