Advertised his personal vehicle (Porsche) on their website then raised the price $10K after a deal was written up. I told him I will drive down to have a look at it. Super disappointed with how things played out today. I called this afternoon at 1147 to make sure that the two vehicles were there that I wanted to see. Especially since I drove an hour to get to them. I was told that they both are and keys would be held for me till 5pm today. I arrived at 1:05pm and neither vehicle was there, one was sold the other day and the other one a deal was made on while I was walking in. I expressed that I wouldn't look at any other ones and of course they did the car sales thing where "let me show you this". I certainly do not want to cast my experience as typical as I only purchased one vehicle and had interactions with only a handful of people, but knowing there are many options, I'll certainly never purchase another vehicle from Keating Toyota. I made an appointment to view the pre owned Camry I saw online. When I arrived the salesman, Arturo Ordaz, tried to sell me every other Camry he had in stock. When I insisted on seeing the one I had viewed online I was told it wasn't ready, yet I'd made an appointment to see and drive that particular car and had driven 48 miles to view that particular car. When I was finally allowed to view it, the car was filthy inside and out, and looked NOTHING like the exact same vehicle I had seen online. I was not allowed to test drive it, but was allowed to drive another Camry and was assured they were identical (turns out they were not). This salesman used every typical sales tactic to get the sale, and yet cared nothing for my time or my overall satisfaction. When I returned to take delivery of the car, it was still not clean, the front was covered with dead bugs, beneath the floor mats the carpets were filthy, and one of the keys wasn't properly programmed. This meant a THIRD return trip to Keating. On this trip it was clear that their customer satisfaction guy (Davenport) just wanted me gone. He used typical distraction techniques to avoid dealing with my frustrations. My company has purchased multiple Toyotas, and will be buying more in the future, but we will avoid this particular dealership. With all the choices you have in the greater Houston area, I'd recommend you take a pass on Keating Toyota. read more

If I could give them negative 5 stars I would. We were interested in purchasing a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle from Keating and called their sales staff. They were friendly and helped us locate a vehicle at what looked like a great price. Since we lived roughly 4 hours away from the dealership, we confirmed on the phone that our all-in budget was realistic for this purchase (for a vehicle they'd had sitting on the lot for a month). The first woman we spoke with said it was well within the realm of possibility. We asked to speak to a Senior Sales Team Member and asked the same question. And he too said that budget all-in/out-the-door was well within the realm of possibility since they either needed to sell this vehicle or send it to auction. I took time off work, packed up the family in our only working vehicle at the time, and drove the 4 hours to their dealership. The short version of what transpired after that was at BEST, absolute negligence, and at worst, it was outright Fraud. They didn't honor the price discussed on the phone or during our test drive. And although it was above our budget, we mistakenly moved forward with the purchase due to the need for a working vehicle and the time, gas, and expense we'd already committed to this day. After getting it home we had it inspected by a licensed and bonded auto-body and mechanic shop and found it had aftermarket parts installed, poor welds in the engine bay that were already rusting, damaged frame portions of the front end, overspray and poor paint cover-ups in numerous areas and would have cost roughly 13K to properly fix (and that was before the shop actually removed items/body panels). This was reported to them. No response. We tried again, no response. We tried Toyota Corporate and after 4+ weeks of back and forth, they decided they would stand by the CTO evaluation the dealership had stamped on the vehicle even though we had proof Korean aftermarket parts were on the vehicle and the frame support damage should have made this vehicle unsellable in the first place. They lied to us about price that we were adamant about not going over then went 6k over that price when we showed up to buy the car as long as it looked as good in person. They lied and certified this vehicle when they hadn't done the necessary inspections and it didn't meet the guidelines. It had been in a SERIOUS wreck that still had over 18k worth of damage and poor repair work that needed to be redone. Of course when I tried to contact ANYONE we had spoken to they wouldn't take or return ANY of our calls! This tells me all I need to know that they were perfectly aware of the condition of this car and the lies they told to sell it. Otherwise why ghost us when we haven't even told you why were calling. This is s VERY short summary of the BS that went down with them. I just don't have enough time to share every last detail because this is still an ongoing issue that we have been trying to resolve for a month now. Predatory and Unethical behavior Misleading sales adds/ showing a low price online then way higher when you get there. Deceitful practices/Outright Fraud! Certifying used cars that don't even come close to meeting requirements, not only ruining their name but the Toyota name in the process Poor service team- they were supposed to replace a part while we were there that had caused an issue, they replaced that part but not the other part that was also really messed up. I saw a 2023, RAV4, Certified Used vehicle, that I was interested in, on the Keating Toyota website. I made an appointment with Mr. Mikijah to check it out. We made a deal and I drove the RAV4 home. I also received help from Mr. Huggy with questions and concerns. We took the RAV4 on an out-of-town trip on April 12. During this trip, we stopped at a tire shop at Port Lavaca, because the steering was vibrating. We had Garcias Garage, balance the tires. After our trip, and getting the RAV4 home, my boyfriend and his buddy, inspected the regular maintenance stuff (Oil, Tires, Filters, etc.). We found a few concerns that needed to have attention. I went back to Keating Toyota on April 17 and with the help of Mr. Ben, Manager, all my concerned issued were remedied. Mr. Ben wrote down on paper, everything that was on my mind. My husband and I specifically and explicitly explained that we were not interested in optional warranties/maintenance plans. Our financial associate Brian Perez added them anyway, moved us back and forth between two offices to sign documents electronically (talked us through them without an opportunity to scroll to read), then printed out the forms and enveloped them. Without an opportunity to review the forms, we were immediately brought out to the car to go over features. I didn't catch the mistake until the first bill came. In the nicest possible terms, Brian's behavior was either negligent or unscrupulous. Because of his actions, I will never do business with Keating Toyota again. What happened was unacceptable. I currently have another car on order with this dealership, which I plan to cancel immediately. I had an appointment to have my care serviced, typical oil change. I arrived early when I walked in to check in no one greeted me no one acknowledged me. Finally one of the employees asked me how he could help. No smile no how are you today. So I asked how lone the wait was he said about 1 1/2 I didn't wait that long last time. He could have explained why or how busy they are that would have been fine with me but I was not treated with some sort of respect of a customer who has told many of my client how great experience I had with I purchased my vehicle from them. At ridiculous costs for all add-one and extra services. I call them 3 times to ask if the vehicle I was looking was was available. Of course it wasn't when I arrived. They told me they were going to give me another vehicle at a discount to match what I was looking for. They didn't! My vehicle trade in price was a joke despite they have a big poster with KBB; they were far by over 20%! Their extra services are expensive as hell! Completely absurd! 400U$ for an antibacterial, which costs 35-50 U$?? Telling you that is for covid? "Antibacterial to kill a virus" All those paint and fabric protection useless for over 2000u$?? APEX GPS? Why you need a GPS?? Over 2,500U$? Be careful! They will use any other email account, double check!! They will give you with incomplete documentation! When I tried to cancel those services, they told me that the window to cancel was due. The paperwork showed 10 days, and guess when they gave me the documents?? 11 days after!! We just got our 2022 Sienna platinum at Keating Toyota. And we just can't find ourselves recommending this dealer at all due to their deceptive business model. 1/ When we get there the first time and talk with Joseph Coulter. For us to put down deposit, he's told us that when we deposit. If the car comes and we're not in town. He will be able to hold for us until we've come back. Which is the first lie. We do know that he can't just hold for us anything due to another salesman. So even if he didn't lie to us like that we still put down a deposit. When I come back from my vacation, the car that he promised us was sold. So I just asked him for fun why did he tell us he will hold the car for us. He then turns around and says he's never said anything like that. It was a minus point for not being honest. 2/ DO NOT trust this dealer about their so-called "no market adjustments" AKA dealer extra profit. The van was listed on their website for around $56000 and it sold for $60000. When I asked he told me the price was increased. Which is another lie from the same salesman. It was ok because right now everywhere you go they will have market adjustments due to the supply shortage. However, go to a different dealer and they'll tell you that beforehand and not fraudulently advise you 1 way and charge you another. 3/ this is even more ridiculous in their finances department. Talked with the guy name Adam Delagarza. Making us wait for almost an hour and he's just sitting in the office doing nothing? How did I know? Because my baby running around and while chasing him I passed by his office and saw him doing nothing. How everything that's not the bad part. The worse part is that they will make your rate supper high to get a few percent extra of dealer reserves. My wife's score is well over 720 and our income is high. We're always got the best rate available at the dealer. This Adam guy was trying to ignore and not tell me about our interest rate. When I asked he told me 6.9% and it was ridiculous. Even though the fed raised the interest but should not be that high because I just applied for finance with Tesla, and I know my rate very well. Told him we will take a shorter term and he's lowered it down to 5.8% because I guess he's going overboard with his greed on this one. When I told him I want to take my bank in for the payment. He then told us they do not take outside financing. Yes, you heard that right, they will not take any other financing other than theirs. Why? So they can get that dealer reserve interest rate. It's basically, they will get that extra interest as their income. So either let's then have it or not buy the car at all. They don't care. The bottom line is to go somewhere else and they're more likely to tell you all of this beforehand. Do not buy from this dealer if you can due to their deceiving business practices. I was helped by someone named William, who allowed me to test drive the car that I was interested in getting by myself. I was on the road for not even 10 minutes when the engine began to overheat. I immediately pulled over on the highway and tried calling the dealership, but no answer. My friend had to pick me up from where I was stranded and when I got back to the dealership, the manager I spoke to could not have cared less about what happened to me based on how he was acting. He also tried telling me that William was actually someone else, which doesn't make sense to me because he's the only one who helped me and you should know your employees' names. Upon arrival, before my wife & I get to park we are waved down by David "Huggy" Huggins. Stated he is a manger there & asked what it is we were looking for. We told him that we've been doing online shopping & just wanted to look around. From the start we never stated that it was our intention to leave with a vehicle. From there he looks back at a group of salesmen to see who should help us. Then comes up Francisco, who is introduced to us by David with unnecessary comments about his hair. (This happened again about his handwriting later on). As a customer it's not really a good look to belittle an employee for laughs, especially as I see the look on Francisco's face. We're then taken inside to let Francisco know the basics of what we are looking for. Which is a vehicle that can fit 3 car seats in, and we gave a price. After we gave the information we were taken back to David, which he led us to Shawn's office. This is were things start to slowly decline. It seemed as it was going good at first showing us options and letting us know different vehicles. My wife test drove a vehicle and if we had to choose, it would have been that one. David continued to try and explain the details about it and how it was the best deal we'd get no matter where we look. But, this price was just a little bit out of our baseline. It was brought up to us as well more than enough times that we are a younger couple & as if we didn't have any knowledge about what we wanted and seemed as if he were trying to push us in a completely opposite direction. As we are going through this, we had to deal with David's ice chewing (which he had accidentally spit out). As well as an abrupt burp. The deal he offered did seem like a great deal but again we had a range that we set prior. As the night goes on there are times my wife & I have to talk things through and make a team decision. But it always felt like our talk time was being rushed. David leaves for a period of time and comes back with a closing deal, not asking us, but telling my wife to "sign here" with no further explanation. But even though we are young, we are not dumb. No signature. We're showed one more vehicle for lease that is beyond our price range. It then felt like David was trying to take charge and tell us what we wanted and what we should get. It was too pushy. He stated that there is a reason he's a "Manager" and why he's sitting in that office. (With Shawn's name plate on the desk). Again, our age kept coming up and it felt disrespectful as if we didn't know better. Towards the end of the night it appeared David was more frustrated because we were sticking to our price range and not just signing the dotted line. Closer to closing time, there would be multiple employees coming in and out of the office trying to talk to David, not about business, but bowling night. At that point we knew it was just a waste and it'd be better off to head a different direction. We feel as we may have had a better experience with a different rep. Other than the time with David, Francisco was great help and wish him the best. read more
