Stopped for lunch at Keegan's Grill today and it was amazing. The service was outstanding and the food was truly some of the best in the valley. Their steak sandwich was delicious, cooked perfectly and better than most steakhouses. The tomatoes with a creamy basil dressing were the perfect side. The Dagwood sandwich was piled high on homemade rye bread with fresh turkey, ham, bacon, veggies, and cheese. So glad we tried it and we'll be back soon! read more

Absolute worst service I've ever had. What bad luck lately. Almost two hour dinner because of SERVICE. 30 minutes in and finally our children were given drinks and our orders were finally taken. No apology on how long things were taking. I understand that places get busy, but as a paying customer we are not an inconvenience and all it takes is a simple "I'm sorry it's taking awhile I'm so busy today." Food was actually good quality and portions were very decent size. If service was better this would have been at least a three star. The cherry on top was when I asked why we were charged for chocolate milk when it says on the kids menu that milk is free; instead of our waiter saying she would ask the manager about it she told me she didn't write the menu. I've frequented this business a number of times, typically for business lunches. It's a nice place with comfortable seating and good food. I've had good experiences with the service as well. There's not typically a long wait for a table, which is really nice. It's not the largest lunch menu that I've ever seen but it's a nice variety and the items are done well. It's not an overly loud place so conversation can be had with no problem. read more

Me and my husband went to this Grill yesterday and got there right at the end of happy hour. we ended up getting 3 appetizers and a drink each and our bill was under 40 dollars. I decided to leave a review after I heard my husband say last night "Yeah, it was one of the worst experiences we've had in a long time at a restaurant." We stopped in for lunch on a Thursday. It wasn't super busy. We were seated and then it took at least 10 minutes for our waitress to come by to take our order. I had to get up and ask someone I saw if we had a server. She took our order and it was another very long wait until our food arrived. It was brought to the table by someone else other than our server, as is customary. My food was incorrect and my husband was out of water and soda. Yet we never saw our server. She would walk by our table and never stop to check on us. My husband's two empty glasses were on the edge of the table, she never filled them. He was done with his entire meal and I still could not take a bite of mine since it was wrong and now my husband had drank my water since he didn't have any. Still no server. Finally she stopped and I told her at this point I just want a to-go box because the meal is over and I still haven't eaten and my husband hasn't had anything to drink the whole meal. She didn't even apologize, just went to get the tab. And the first was just so-so, nothing worth writing about. I love Keegan's because they not only have the best food in town, but this fine American diner is also not run by tyrants. I decided to dine at Keegan's after reading multiple Yelp reviews that claimed this restaurant was not COVID compliant. This is definitely my kind of place. They have a great craft beer selection and extremely friendly bartenders. My bartender was also not wearing a face diaper, which was a breath of fresh Rocky Mountain air. This also permitted me to see her amazing smile. I was pleased to be able to chat with another woman at the bar because I was not forced to sit between large and ridiculous slabs of worthless plexiglass and our barstools were closer than 6 feet apart. I ordered a medium rare filet and it might have been the best steak I have ever tasted in my life. It was cooked to perfection. It seems that the management/ owners of this establishment really understand not only how to run a successful restaurant, but even more importantly, they don't cater to the mob of the woke CDC, who change their minds more often than they change their underpants! Dining at Keegan's grill was truly a much needed reprieve from the doom of uptown Sedona, where my employer has recently terminated my health insurance for refusing to take the vaccine. First, Keegans is one of my favorite restaurants. Never had a disappointing meal until last night. Called and learned Char-crusted steak and baked potato with all the fixings was the special of the night--$13. Placed an order for two dinners; the only difference is I wanted my potato with the stuff on the side. Drove over to pick it up. The waitress gives me one bag with only one big styrofoam box and a couple of smaller ones. "Are you sure there are TWO MEALS in that bag?" "Yes," she says, and the cook comes up to confirm there are two steak dinners in the one bag. Bring it home and I swear, I could not find the two Char Crusted Steaks! My wife calls and they say, "Yeah, they're in the bag. I packed it myself." We search again and finally, under the cup of bacon bits we find the entrees. Each in a round plastic container; the size they put sauces or catsup in. That's right; that was the size of the steak: about 5 little pieces in a catsup cup. Come on, guys! I've been going to Keegans Grill in Chandler for over 20 years, the food is consistently good whatever I order and the specials are the best value in town. Steaks are cooked to perfection and are better than what I get at expensive steakhouses. The bar and wait staff are amazing, they have great recommendations and encourage substitutions. Recently Izzaiah has been our server and always has creative recommendations, we particularly enjoyed his version of Creme Brûlée which he recommends ordering with strawberries and whipped cream. Not safe any more. When the country doesn't enforce the sanitary measures and leaves it to the states that do nothing which leaves it to the city to do nothing, then that choice is left to the establishment. This establishment eliminated masks immediately. Without concern for the elderly patrons, without concern for the people whom have yet to be vaccinated, without concern for the kids. The virus can still be passed around and here you have servers interacting with hundreds of people not wearing masks, not washing their hands after touching the dirty glasses and plates...going table to table spreading along the way. Heck this restaurant doesn't even have a dedicated bussing staff to handle all the infected utensils and dishes. Instead the servers that deliver the food, refill your drinks, bring you a replacement fork because you dropped one are the same people that clean up the table. Came here on St. Patrick's day due to the Ginger monkey charging covers and like $75 for 5 drinks and some food to everyone who was coming in with a limited menu and no patio seating....so we came here. This was a pleasant surprise as we were seated on a non rowdy patio on a beautiful day and were served right away with smiles and festive dress and decorations. Ambiance was a typical bar / restaurant but the service wasn't typical - they were spot on with giving us time to look over the menu answer questions and get drink orders to start. Never pushy and always Che led in on us to make sure we were doing ok. I had the Cobb Salad and it was tasty fresh and not overdone with dressing. Our friends had the fish and chips and they also were pleased. Green beers didn't hurt either on St patty's day but I'd definitely give Keegan's a great 1st review and a solid 4 stars. If the patio were covered more and the food were just a tab bit cheaper I might say 5 stars. They did have a daily robust craft beer list as well! read more

Always been a favorite until last night. The second I entered the restaurant (8:55), the bartender snapping me off should have been the sign. The hostess later informed me the kitchen closes at 9 pm. Which I get, the overall experience and when you google the restaurant, hours say open till 10 pm. Recommend updating your website so you don't lose future guests. Chance encounter on this little (well, maybe not soo little) gem of a place. Yelped it the moment I passed by it because of all the cars present in their parking lot. Although there are only 8 reviews for the place, what people had to say about it really made me want to visit. Was well greeted on a spontaneous adventure to the restaurant for dinner. The bar was packed so my party decided to get seated in the main dining area. Got seated right away and was introduced to our server in no time. Think she had to swallow a chill pill or something because it took some time for her to be nice (most likely the main reason im not giving this place 5 stars) The menu was pretty reasonable. Starters dont exceed $10 and entrees range anywhere from $5-$15 (If Im correct, there is only one item on the menu costing $15) We started off with three appetizers, thinking it would be the only dishes ordered (little did we know): - Grilled Spicy Chicken Wings: Some a little burnt but it tasted great. The portions are large and seasoning just right (or too bland depending on what you prefer). I liked that it was grilled, less of that greasy hell overwhelming the taste of the actual meat. - Homemade lemon garlic Hummus with pita : sooo delicious. It was only about $6, it comes with a bunch of pita. My party of 4 shared it and still had left overs =] definitely recommended. - Cheeseburger Sliders x3 on Egg Bun: The bun is delicious! and the meat is perfectly cooked (medium) and seasoned. The perfect balance of meat, bun, and cheese. Comes with diced pickles. We were having a jolly time when all of a sudden someone notices a dish being served to the the table next to us. It looked so good, she decided to order it herself. We ended up sharing the Half Chicken entree and I was extremely impressed with how it came out. The chicken is juicy and tender the entire way through. No parts of the chicken dry, every bite was well savored and just...mmm mmm mm Came with two sides (we chose the green beans/onions and mashed potatoes): green beans weren't my favorite, they were overcooked but the mashed potatoes. Perfectly cooked, tasted so fresh. They don't use a ton of butter or sour cream which was favorable to my taste buds. Would definitely come again FYI: happy hour 3-6:30 pm. This review is a little outdated but I'm playing catch-up and wanted to include this. We've passed this place a bunch and decided to go try it out for dinner one night. I ordered a balsamic vinegar salmon and when it was delivered I could smell it was off (and the chef didn't?). I tried a small bite to be sure, and yup, it was off. I told the waiter and, get this, he tried to tell me that can happen when you put balsamic vinegar on fish. Seriously? First off, no, it doesn't. Secondly, if it did, why would you offer it? Third, WHO CARES!?!?!? It's bad. Say you're sorry, take it back, offer something up, whatever. Then it took the manager to come over and I had to explain that the fish was bad and they tried to offer me something else. Let's see, I just had a plate of bad fish delivered to me and the smell is still in my nostrils. Yeah, ya know what, can I have some chicken? Rare if you don't mind, so we can keep with the theme.
