Food quality is good and the atmosphere is relaxing. They need to expand their menu a bit, I'd go there more but the choices are so limited.

Went here for lunch and thought even though this place is a bit on the pricey side im sure they have some type of lunch specials. Welp...they didnt let me down $6.95 for a full meal. Choose two of any of these items...there was about 15 different items from soup to burgers. Of course smaller portions but for me perfect. The reverse happy hour was cool. I ended up getting a little drunk here. The waitress was nice to deal with. The open faced filet sandwich was great. I can't really remember much else about it. Nice place with solid menu items. The cheese chorizo appetizer is awesome although I wish they'd bring back the pretzels that went with it. The 20 year tacos are awesome. Went to Keegan's Sunday to celebrate my birthday. Asked to be seated on the patio and were seated as the only couple outside. After about twenty minutes of no service or even acknowledgment, I went inside and inquired if anyone was servicing the patio. The manger (or maybe hostess) indicated that she forgot to tell the waiter that we were on the patio to be served. She apologized and indicated that someone would be right out. After about five minutes a waiter did take our drink and food order. After my wife was served her ordered iced tea, I went to the restroom (which was flooded, still being used, and the wet floor being tracked into the dining area). I returned to our table to see that my cocktail had not been delivered. My wife and I continued to wait for another 25 minutes with no one delivering my drink or even acknowledging us again. At this point with the night pretty much ruined, we decided to leave. I went to the bar and told the bartender I wanted to pay for my wife's iced tea and that we were leaving. The bartender left and and counseled with someone and returned to say that I did not have to pay for the tea and never apologized or offer an explanation. The night was saved by my wife who suggested we go to High Tides for dinner where the service, food, ambiance (including clean, sparkling, immaculate restroom) were excellent (five stars). read more

Service was very good, albeit the server had tables on the patio and on the opposite side of the bar. So while not the servers fault it took a while for the server to show at the table. Onion soup pretty good. For the price (add on to the meal) it was real good. Fish and chips were good, albeit one of the pieces of fish still had the blood line in it...so a little fishy tasting. Pot roast was good. Dessert was a peach/berry cobbler. Server said it was small...it was as advertised. Having said, that it turned out to be enough to share. Overall very good. read more

The food was excellent, the Firecracker shrimp is really good. We had the half chicken dinner which was cooked perfectly and had great flavors with plenty of juicy, tender meat. I also ordered the fish and chips which was actually pretty good, maybe not the best I've had but you can tell it was their own homemade recipe and they did a good job. The fries were good too. The beer list is really why I like coming here though, they have 20 beers on tap at all times, and do a decent rotation pretty often. The atmosphere of the place is just a nice, down home cooking relaxed, laid back place where you can meet and hang out with friends and watch a game and have some good food and beer. Use to go to lunch @ the one on Camelback near Biltmore area... Anyways, its been a few years.. like 15 or so :p,, Tried this place out finally again. Place is VERY clean and friendly staff. I mainly came here for the Flour tortilla chips, but that wasnt on the appetizer menu anymore, so we ventured out anyways.. Fish Tacos with firecracker or dynamite shrimp were friggin AWESOME . The only downer was the ehh tortilla, but all the rest of the ingredients were fabulous.. Got them 2 times so far.. Cheese dip with choriza was pretty good, wish they came with more flour chips thou,, but still VERY good. Ohhh and the Green Chili MAC n CHEESE was spot on, one the best Mac n Cheeses I have had at a restaurant.. Wife had the soup n Sandwich lunch combo and that was very good also,,, Soup was very flavorable, without the hint of anything canned or frozen.. Went back last week and had those Tacos again and a bowl of Clam Chowder.. WOW, from New England / Boston, I am very picky on Clam Chowder, and this place is probably my 2nd FAVE now for their Clam Chowder.. Great work,,,, Will be coming her few times a month for sure now.. Well I've seen Keegan's many, many times as I've passed by them and recently saw them on Check Please AZ. Grabbed my wife and took her to dinner. We chose to sit at the bar tonight. Great drink menu and great craft beer selection. Firecracker shrimp for an appetizer I had the fish and chips Wife had cobb salad with chicken. After months of staying home, due to the Covid virus, my husband and I decided to go to one of our favorite restaurants. We could not have been more disappointed. First, only the hostess was wearing a mask. The bartender had her's on her mouth, not her nose. All of the servers that we could see, were NOT wearing one. The hostess showed us to our table which at first looked like they were Social distancing us, but only on one side. My husband had a party of 4 right behind him! When our Server took our order, we both ordered liquor drinks AND water. No water ever came. We always order the Sliders to share and entrees. The Sliders were hard on the outside and raw in the middle. Not sure what to think, but, they were tasteless. With everything that is going on in this State and the Country, I can't believe that the owners of this restaurant aren't taking this more seriously! We will NOT be back! read more

I had been searching for a certain beer for months when it was brought to my attention that they had it at this location. About a month ago my bf & I popped in for a cold beer. They did indeed have the beer I was searching for. It was deeeelish! We noticed that the crowd was...I'd say about 99% older white people. I'm 37 and I was the youngest person in that place by far. There was another lady around 40 who appeared to be w her father or grandfather... Or her much older husband. Anyway... No big deal. They have my beer. I'll go even if it's for the elderly golf crowd. Today we were looking for a place to go out to dinner. I felt like I could really go for one of those delicious beers. So I dragged my bf and his gramps to Keegans. Gramps fit right in on account of the fact that he's 85 years old and likes golf. The host said that happy hour was on for 15 more minutes... Perfect! I went to order my beer and the server informed me that they don't have it any more. I told her they JUST got it a few weeks ago! She explained that they switch out their taps every time a keg is emptied. WHAT???? Man... Now we're at this old white folk joint and no beer I'm interested in. I had water and we ordered food. I got a salad. It was ok, but no better than a salad from any other place. Certainly nothing I'd go back for. My bf got ribs... He ate them but said they were just OK. They came w some weird hard steamed veggies and some bland mac & cheese. His gramps got a well done steak. He said it was OK. He loves veggies but couldn't eat his bc they were so hard. We had to ask multiple times for a 3rd set of silverware. That just about covers it. Pretty doubtful that we'll ever be back. But if you're over 60 and looking for a surprise beer from an ever changing list with some mediocre food, this is your jam. read more

Having moved into a new neighborhood, I was looking for some good meal locations with a good bar. I used to eat at another Keegans location in Phoenix previously and noticed that this location was near my new house. I decided to stop in for a try the fare and drinks to see if this could be one of my regular hangouts. The venue is very well done with a separate dining room and a beautiful bar area. I decided to sit at the bar since it was close to the drinks I would be consuming. After I looked at the menu I found item that I love and is rare to find in the Phoenix area. steamed mussels. I ordered a beer which was delivered in record time and an order of the mussels. Since it was Happy Hour the charge was well within the acceptable range for this item. The mussels were firm and well done with an excellent mixture of garlic and butter sauce. With the bread this was a meal. I did find 4 unopened shells which means"dead mussels". I mentioned this to my server and she readily replaced those with some new ones. Well done.... I will be back to try some of the other items on this menu and enjoy the surroundings of this wonderful establishment. read more

I have been in love with Keegan's since the moment we moved here two years ago and Keegan's was the first local restaurant my family tried! Their potato skins are to die for - best I've had anywhere quite frankly. The jalapeño burgers are excellent too! Happy hour menus are awesome and the staff is super friendly! I went in for lunch this last Thursday. I was one of the first in the restaurant and was happy when I found out they carried the wine I normally drink. I ordered the Small Calihan Cobb and ordered the steak medium. The steak was done perfectly to my liking. At one point, I got up to go the bathroom and my table was accidentally cleared but my waitress got me another drink on the house. It was a pretty pleasant experience and I liked the food. During the pandemic my wife and I have ordered in from local restaurants to help support them. One of those restaurants has been the Keegan's in Chandler. Several times the orders have not been exactly as ordered but we continued to order from Keegan's. Tonight Sunday May 23rd I went to pick up our phoned in order and they had no record of it though my phone shows I made the call. The disappointing part of the situation is the manager never apologized but said I could wait 20 minutes while they submitted our order. I passed and left. read more

This is a gorgeous restaurant in Chandler. It has a patio, bar with several TV screens tuned to sports, and a large set of booths for the anyone who wants. The service was rapid and friendly by pretty waitresses. I had a spicy salad one night and grilled salmon on another. Both had unusual ingredients like toasted corn and were delicious and a great portion size for me. I will definitely return to this grille for the bar and the rest of the menu. It seemed like a good place to have a party on the patio, an intimate evening with a date, and anything else. Their special dessert right now for the holiday season is eggnog creme brulee. It is so decadent and delicious! Keegans always has great steaks. Burgers are pretty good too. Try their Filet Medallion Stroganoff. It is yummy! Decent wine selection and beer selection. I recommend the Josh Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon if you like red wine. Service is pretty consistent here. Went here randomly. Never heard of it. Forefathers was closed and they were in the parking lot I just happened to be in, so why not. I am officially recommending The Son of MOAB. Great freaking burger. Comes on an onion knot, which is not a two halves of an onion tied together as my mind assured me it must be. It's kinda like an onion bun in a pretzel bun form with a heap of that herb-y taste. Medium-rare meat was done great, delicious cheese I've never heard of, and amazing slippery sauteed onions. A hot mess; like the good kind of hot mess. Like you bite it and then just sit there and be overwhelmed. Its great. Also, i got the (sorta spicy) bean salad instead of fries.. If you do this, put it on the burger. A metaphorical party in my mouth. Also Also, broccoli side for my kid was really well done. He ate all of it, no problem. In context to other reviews, service was fine. I mean, nobody tried to punch me. Its just a person putting things that you've asked for on your table. Executed 100% success rate. If you're reading this, this is just a review of the grilled salmon. I actually do like coming to this restaurant but I dont think I'll ever order the grilled salmon again. Very bland. There wasnt anything special about it. It didnt taste bad but it was just ehh. I dont know how to describe it. Just very mediocre. went there on a saturday night, only had soup and appetizers there (good potato skins), and ordered our entrees to go. I got the beef stroganoff, and asked for my steak medium rare, it was well done. Also asked for an extra side of cheddar potatoes to find out they weren't there when we got home, even though we payed for them. My boyfriend got the flat iron steak and and asked for it well done, with a side mac and cheese instead of vegetables. the steak was rare. not even medium rare, literally still purple it was so rare. and they gave him NO mac and cheese OR potatoes (the meal usually comes with steamed broccoli and cheddar potatoes) only broccoli. very disappointed that i wasted $50 tonight. read more

Since our 1st choice for a late mother's day lunch was a 2 hour wait, we came over here. Even though the patio was only 1/2 full, we were told a 10 min wait. The lunch menu looked ok, I had a beer and the wife a sangria. Ordered the hummus for an app. I ordered a burger, and the wife 1/2 sandwich with side special. Hummus was good, drinks were too. Burger was way overdone. I had to send it back. Opted for a chicken salad sandwich, since family was 1/2 done before I could send it back. Sandwich was ok, fries were good. My wife was not impressed with her plate. The service was ok, she was very nice. I cant remember a time when I sent food back. You would think a manager would come over to apologize. Keegan's is one of the very best places to eat in Chandler. Very good food with excellent atmosphere compared to other restaurants in southeast valley. They are crowded especially on weekends. Most foods homemade. Monday's meatloaf is special. Nice size sports bar included. Outside patio eating is very pleasant with fire pit and water mist. First and last visit, unfortunately. I've been wanting to try this place for quite awhile. Finally stopped in on a Saturday evening. It was full, but not jam packed. Staff - friendly hostess who seated us pretty quickly. Waitress (Suzy) took a minute to get to us, but was there in short order. She had an amazing attitude (very positive) and smile, and was very helpful in answering questions about the menu. Were it not for her, this would be a one-star review. So then there was the food. Me: Ribs. Before even cutting/tasting them, I was appalled that they would even serve something like this. I could tell they were way overcooked and dry. Cut (saw). Taste. Confirmed horrific. They were so overdone that I think they were sitting on a warming plate since the prior week. They were virtually all bone, and what little meat was there was dried to a near crisp. Her: Pork chops. Also dry. Not as bad as the ribs, but definitely overcooked. I could tell that the taste would have been decent if they weren't overdone (tiny bit of sauce had nice flavor hints in it). We didn't have the heart to send BOTH plates back, but the ribs were inedible and Suzy made no fuss whatsoever about replacing them with a new order. They were MUCH better, but still far from what I'd call "great." The starch sides were the only good thing about these plates - the cheddar potatoes, and the green chili mac-n-cheese were great but (unfortunately) don't make a whole dinner. Then there was dessert - a cobbler - that was almost as disappointing. The apples weren't done/cooked to the point a cobbler is usually cooked, and the crumble topping appeared to have been sprinkled on after the fact, not baked, so it was disappointing. The ice cream was the best part. It was worth a shot since I'd wanted to try this place for quite some time, but sorry to say we won't be back because of the food - and the fact that they would even think it's okay to send something that looked so horrid (the ribs) out of the kitchen to the table. read more

Not an area I frequent, but ran across this place and decided to try it. We enjoyed the patio atmosphere even though it was mid June. They had a very unique beer list and I had a hard time choosing just one. Menu had a lot of good choices and priced reasonably. I tried the world's greatest meatball sub, which is probably a stretch, but was good and the French fries had a lot of flavor. Too bad it isn't in more common area for me because I would definitely go again. read more

The food here is excellent! This is quality food/ fresh. Most of the food is comfort food but it is awesome! We tried the green chilly mac and cheese and it was the bomb! I would eat that for a meal if it was a bit bigger :) I had the fish and chips and it was delicious! My friend had a hamburger and she said is was great too! If I could give this place 100 stars I would! I came here to work a promotional event and had to stay for dinner. As I walked around and saw all the amazing food, I could barely finish my event i was getting so hungry! Being a promo model can be tough. But the staff was more than accommodating. The food?
