Rick showed up with an invalid copy of the "We Owe" document showing they owe me nothing. He had the version of the document I signed before we signed the document reflecting the agreement to repair the suspension that I attached here months ago. His document was not in my package at all. It just goes to show they will not only lie to you but place their hand on a bible, and lie to a judge under oath. As I said previously...unethical and dishonest. I suppose I'm done.....Maybe I purchased a used GMC Denali from Keffer Kia. I got home and realized there was hail damage and remnants from highway paint, and broken running boards. During the purchase we found a suspension problem and in writing they agreed to repair the issue. After a couple of BBB complaints they agreed to finally take the truck in. I got the truck back after almost 3 weeks and nothing but the partial hail damage repair. The costliest part (the roof) was never touched. I still have the suspension problem and now have to hire a lawyer. On 10/22 I asked for the gap insurance and service plan to be cancelled ($5500). They claim they sent a refund to the bank but as of today 2/5 It is still not showing credited to my account. They gave me an image of a check but that means nothing. I can write a check for a million dollars and put it in my desk drawer and it means absolutely nothing. Jason told me the sales folks were suppose to inform any prospective buyer the auto assist running boards were broken. That was not disclosed to me until 2 months after I purchased the truck. Really disappointed and unhappy I have to get a lawyer involved but I've tried everything to reason with them. I have been buying cars since before most of these folks were born and these people are the most dishonest and unethical people I have ever worked with. I'm left with $2500 for hail damage, $2300 for suspension repair, and $1900 for running boards. I already spent $800 trying to remove the highway line paint. UPDATE: Tired of playing. They are very good at bait and switch, so if you're looking for a 2025 AWD they will show you a 2024 FWD vehicle. They also will tell you they're giving you prestige service and then it'll be on your contract with a cost. They hide the sticker in the glove compartment so you can't see it. Indoctrination is marginal at best. Our salesman also told us our tires were "definitely low profile" when they're not. Anything they tell you, believe the opposite. And we're not alone. Service department here are set to scam you...specifically service advisor, Sal Curatolo and the green service tech who messed with my daughter's 2016 KIA Forte's rear brakes! We found a problem with the left rear caliper (likely seized) while replacing her rear pads and rotors. Due to time constraints, we agreed to schedule a service call at what we assumed was a reputable dealer. When the service call was placed online, we duly noted the caliper issue and that my daughter would wait during the 1:45pm appointment. Not only did they make her wait at least two hours before even looking at her vehicle, the inexperienced technician decided to take it out on the "highway" and "couldn't get it over 62 MPH"!!! No Sh*t Sherlock!!! We told you the left rear caliper was likely seized!!! And, the video I was shown, Clearly shows that tech inspected everything without pulling rear tires off! Of course, the service advisor was going to stand behind this horrible way of troubleshooting. YES, I got beyond perturbed on the phone with him. I was working in South Charlotte and he was in Mooresville, screwing my daughter over at the tune of a $2,000 rear brake job because he knew she was a 22 y.o. college student who needed her car a day before returning to Spring Semester. please be careful! we purchased a kia sorento from carvana. the engine failed. there was no way for us to have known about a "ksds" service bulletin or that it had never been repaired. after obtaining service records, we discovered that the vehicle had been in keffer kia for service on two occasions after the service bullitin for the ksds repair. keffer kia refuses to take responsibility. corporate kia states they cannot hold keffer kia responsible because keffer kia is an independently owned dealership. be very careful! read more

Had it not been for Michael Johnson in accounting, this would be a 1-star review. I had a bad experience purchasing a certified used vehicle from this location and Michael helped make up for what his colleagues and/or this business lacks which seems to be integrity or attention to detail or both. I see other reviews about the bait-and-switch tactic and I wish I had discovered these reviews prior to committing to purchasing this vehicle here. I had a similar experience wherein they advertised the car as CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) for a particular price and then when I went to purchase it they asked if I would like to add the certification (...what?). You can't advertise a car as certified used (see screenshot) and then turn around and say it's actually not certified but you can pay more $ to have it certified. It was obvious that they would be receiving way over market value for the car as a result. I could have reported them and kept looking but I had been looking for this specific year, model, and color in manual shift and certified for quite a while. It didn't end at $ issues sadly... Even though the description said "PRISTINE!" I still did my due diligence and specifically asked the salesperson to inspect the vehicle on my behalf and tell me if there was any damage at all (out-of-state purchase) since any flaws would of course positively affect my negotiating power. They said there was nothing wrong so I purchased the car and when it arrived on the truck, I immediately saw two areas of damage (see photos). Complaining to the transport company who I assumed caused the damage, they showed me that they had marked those areas of damage prior to loading the vehicle onto their truck and the dealership had even signed off on it. So there was obvious damage and the dealership didn't disclose it. I had to spend more time and money to fix the two damaged areas. Fortunately, Michael fought on my behalf to have me reimbursed by the dealership! Hugely generous of him to spend time and energy on this and ensure that the right thing was done. He added 3 more stars to this review as a result. Bonus: the engine on the car died after a few months. Fortunately, because I 'added' the certification to the deal, the cost of replacing it was covered. Massively inconvenient and took weeks but it was covered. Praying the rest of it remains intact and I can get the most value out of it from here on out. Michael is a great guy! I don't think he's a salesperson, he's in accounting, but ask for him. read more

BEWARE!!! I purchased a Kia Sportage two years ago with an extended warranty, It has been well maintained with records. All of a sudden it started shaking so I took it to a mechanic and it needs a new motor. He said that it probably had this problem when I bought it. I am still making payments on this vehicle. My daughter purchased a Nissan Altima from there a few months later after I purchased mine. Four months after she bought it the transmission went out, and she is still making payments. So we both have vehicles that can't be driven and still making payments on. The transmission is $5,000 and the motor is $6,500. My daughter lost her job because of the lack of transportation and I have to rely on other people to take me back and forth to work. It was only after they ran my credit and had me sign the contract that they gave me the final price which was ~5k more than listed online. Full disclosure I did purchase a vehicle from Keffer but it will definitely be the last I purchase from them. In short - avoid this dealer! As others have said, this is not an honest dealership. I live over an hour a way so three times via text and email I confirmed they had the vehicle I wanted at the price agreed. When I showed up the sales person and manager met me at the door and immediately started making excuses why they didn't have the vehicle. The manager said he would make it right that they don't do bait & switch (which is exactly what they were doing) he admitted he knew before I was on the way that he didn't have the vehicle. But he decided he would "earn" my business when I got there. After multiple hours and frankly wearing me down, I did lease a vehicle for more than we had originally agreed. My adult daughter was looking for a vehicle a few weeks later and due to vehicle shortages ended up calling Keffer since they had one. I went with her just for moral support and surprise, surprise they pulled the EXACT same bait and switch deal on her. Telling her they had the car but it had more features so it would be more. This time we walked! The end of this story for her was she got the exact deal she was promised from Union Kia the next day. First off while my wife filled out paperwork on a 2021 Kia Sorento I asked her salesman (an older gentleman named Michael) about the 2nd key his response was yes we have it in the back. I'll make sure y'all get it. After paperwork was signed and deal was done I asked him about the key and his response then was oh there's just the one. Secondly my wife has had the car less than a month and she notices a squealing coming from the rear of the vehicle while braking. I look at the pads and rotors and see a rust ring around the rotor where the pad isnt touching all the way like it's glazed so I bring the car to them twice to fix that neither time have they fixed it. And the navigation in the car doesn't work right so they say well it needs a new radio it'll be over a grand. Okay well she just bought the car with 31k miles on it surely Kia is covering this. I have never been so disgusted with the dealership like the one at Keffer Kia in Mooresville! Don't go there! I set up an appointment to go in and trade my car in for a new one and they took me in the office right away and wanted to do paperwork not even looking at my car. They were very pushy and it was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE! I then went and took a test drive on two vehicles and liked them, while my son-n-law is the one experienced with dealerships he joined us in the offer they wanted to make us. After talking with the salesman he only wanted to offer us $500 for my 2012, no light on dashboard, never been wreaked, well kept up car after they had a deal going on that they needed MY kind of car for stock and would pay up to $2000 on trade ins. My son-n-law turned down the offer and proceeded to tell the salesman that they had our info and could contact us if they changed their minds on negotiation of price, the salesman proceeded to go get his senior rep and he approached us with such an ugly attitude and he proceeded to say THEY was not going to give us more than $500 for car, we got up and as we was walking out the senior rep was looking for an argument and was saying things under his breath and was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! Who does this?? My son-n-law said we wouldn't be back and the senior rep came storming out of his almost half way into his office and stood by the door that we all was walking out of and just glared at my son-n-law looking like he wanted to duke it out! This all started on May 23, 2024. I went down to Keffer Kia in Mooresville NC. to look for a new car and trade in my 2017 dodge ram. Alex, the sales person greeted me at the door to help me find a car. I was not in a rush to buy a car. Next night I went back to the car dealer to let them know that nobody had inquired about me with my bank. They just called as a random customer and my bank, and they gave them a so-called rate and price. I was very upset that they lied. I told them I didn't want the car anymore. They could take the car back.Then Min The customer service manager came over to me and said is what we're gonna do for you. We're gonna give you $55 for four months. it was a holiday weekend so I couldn't come back till Tuesday to pick up the check. I thought everything was OK then now today June 3 I came home and saw I had a letter in the mail from my bank teachers federal credit union that I was late on the payment as per the finance manager he asked why my payment was due. I immediately contacted the Used Car Salesman Manager and after he took a look at it he said that they would fix it and give me a loaner car. I am very disappointed in my experience at this dealership. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted and had researched extensively. I wanted to lease a specific vehicle. My sales rep understood that and we went on a test drive and he said that it would be doable and in the range I was looking at. Things were going well. However, once we got back to the dealership another employee started pressuring me to purchase instead of lease. I said I knew what I wanted, and I wanted to lease, and he would NOT back down and started to get an attitude. I asked him to please listen to me and to move forward with leasing. He then came back with a lease quote that was almost the same as a purchasing so that I would purchase. I had researched before and based on the cars value, the KIA website, Kelly Blue Book, calling around- a lease should have been in the 300-400 range, not the 700-800 range I was being given. Once I realized I was being taken advantage of (probably because I was alone, young, and a woman) and was going to get no where with this dealership, I left carless and with a hard pull on my credit report. Double dipping on fees from customer and factory? My KIA is leaking oil for the second time in under a year after they supposedly fixed it. The second time just 1500 miles after it was in their shop. I question if they did anything to the car because its losing oil at the same rate as when we brought it in. You have to question if they are scamming the manufacturer and customer. Auto center staff is rude and obnoxious when you question them. Manager hides in his office probably knowing hes scamming people. They have a real comfort level for questionable business practices which indicates they do it a lot. They will likely charge you to hook it up to their computer despite you not needing this done. This review is strictly for the repair department. I must say it saddens me to write this, especially because this was my favorite car repair place. My husband and I have brought our vehicles here since purchasing them and before were very satisfied until our most recent visit. First we had to wait over 45 minutes for a car inspection that was to take only 5 minutes, per them!! Then when we came back the next day to pick up my husbands car. He was told to wait for the bill, well they called us to say it was ready, then upon receiving the bill he was charged for work he did not ask for! What makes it worse is the tire rotation HE DID NOT ASK FOR, AND THEY DID NOT TIGHTEN THE LUG-NUTS!! Thankfully he was able to make it home safely! Unfortunately we will not be back!
