We certainly came at the right time today. No wait at 9:30 but when we left around 11, there were tons of people waiting outside. The staff was friendly enough. The manager was excellent making rounds a couple times to make sure things were good. We tried the stuffed French toast - I tried the raspberry, which was pretty good. My husband was happy with his Turtle. He tried our daughter's pancakes and thought the pancakes were better. Scrambled eggs were just okay, same with the sausage. Kekes is not my favorite place to get breakfast, I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants in general. My husband loves their pancakes. They are big and fluffy and make him feel full which is what he's always going for. I'm always looking for something on the healthy side so usually it's an omelette or a scrambled egg. I always went to the one in Orlando, but this one was great too! The service was great! I got the western omelette and it was so good with plenty of toppings throughout the entire omelette. I had to give one star. This was without a doubt, the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. My buddy and I stopped by the Cortez location this morning. The hostess greeted and seated us immediately. That was the highlight of our visit. It took forever to get waited on. It took forever to get silverware. The combo section of the breakfast menu is ridiculously confusing. A floor manager came by and agreed. We then waited close to an hour and still hadn't received our food. The floor manager said she would have the GM come out to talk to us. He/she never showed up after another 5 minute wait. We got up and left. I went home and had a bowl of cereal. My boyfriend and I were visiting the area on vacation and decided to come to Keke's for a late lunch, arriving about an hour before closing. The place was quite empty with 1-2 parties other than ourselves. Our server greeted us promptly and got our beverages quickly. Our meals were quick to arrive and we had plenty of time to eat without rushing despite coming in a little late! I got the fajita omelet that was served with toast and home fries and my boyfriend got the turkey club and switched out the kettle chips for fries. We both really enjoyed our meals! Came here for brunch with my family from out of town and they loved it! This is an ideal spot for families and large groups. Very accommodating and very friendly. No it was not busy what so ever wish we had a better experience waited over 30 minutes to get our check and waited almost 20 minutes to even place our order I have to say as me and my sister both being servers we are very understanding but we found this unacceptable. I will start off that the food was good average breakfast fare. I was upset by the choice of sides and the attitude of the waitress. The sides are home fries or grits. Never liked grits so that's a no go. I asked about the home fries and was told they have onions. I expressed I don't handle Onions and got a defensive response from the waitress as though I was blaming her for it and it just ruined the whole thing right there. As far as the onions, I get that lots of places put onions and even peppers in their home fries. I therefore had to decide on something else because almost all of the egg dishes had the same sides. She could've offered fruit or toast etc to replace the home fries but did nothing. I ordered the Florida pancake which was OK but I really wanted eggs Benedict. So I won't ever go there again as there are many other breakfast cafe options in town. read more

The 'Scambler' was delicious...eggs cooked perfectly (no brown, the way I like them) and the egg to vegetable ratio was very good, too! We really liked the 'home fries' (fried red-skinned potatoes)...tasted 'homemade'. A variety of choices on the menu for breakfast and lunch. [Corned Beef Hash (made with the fried potatoes you already use, just broken down a little more) would have been a nice breakfast option...just saying!] There was a wait to get a table and empty tables. However, we knew the restaurant was trying to balance tables w/customers and wait staff in an effort not to sacrifice customer service. Great job, we appreciated the strategy! Although, It took a substantial amount of time to get our food...in the end, it was worth the wait. There are two things that made Keke's standout. My wife doesn't really like eggs, but always gets them as a side with her pancakes so she eats more protein. At Keke's she actually said, maybe for the first time, "these eggs are good". My omelet was as well. I can't tell you what was different, but they were very well prepared. The real standout though is that KeKe's is one of the only places we've eaten at where they truly specialize in fruit. When you get fruit it isn't the usual mix of (often unripe or overripe) melon and canned pineapple, it is berries, and ripe banana, good grapes, and I can't remember what else. Even as a side the quantity is real. Too many places will replace a mound of potatoes with a thimble of bad fruit, KeKe's doesn't skimp. Ok, I can't say enough about the fruit. We went for lunch one time and I had the Tuna Salad and Fruit plate. We went back a couple of weeks later so I could get it again. Service was overall quite good. My wife identified a few lapses (one waitress was a but scatterbrained that day), and she isn't as in love with their pancakes as she is at some other places. So that is why this is a 4 star instead of 5 star rating. But they are really 4+ overall. read more

I started out with coffee which was good enough to drink black. Then the food... I really had a hard time deciding which flavor stuffed French toast to order. They have this great combination where you can pick eggs, toast, bacon etc...and substitute pancakes for stuffed French toast for a minimal up charge. Our server was Tamara and she was phenomenal. All about service today. Well we waited to eat, got sat, ordered our food and the waitress did not put our food in the computer. We waited almost an hour and half to get bfast. We appreciated her honesty but expected more than a military discount. Our meal should have been comped. Because there were two veterans at the table already and could have received that discount anyway. I was happy the waitress was honest but at the same time you have one job. Take an order put in the system provide that order. I really wasn't feeling the managers response. An excellent visit Everything about our visit was excellent. From the time we walked in until the time we left, the staff was nothing but helpful, very pleasant, and competent. Even the manager came by to welcome us to Keke's and to make himself available if we encountered any issues. The menu offers a nice selection of waffle and pancake options, as well as other standard breakfast items. I went fairly basic with their Ham & Cheese Omelette, and it was better than basic. It contained a very generous amount of cheese and plenty of ham, making every single bite enjoyable. Their homefries were thin sliced red skin potatoes, prepared well. Almost too large a serving size of potatoes for me. The restaurant is large with mostly booth seating, large windows providing natural light. We noticed they actually have a ceiling, so many new places seem to show off their ductwork instead of a sound dampening ceiling. It was not loud in the restaurant at all, but they were not very busy so hard to know how loud it could be when they are slammed. I don't know if they ever get 'slammed', but if so they do they have an indoor area for seating while waiting for a table. Being part of a strip mall, there was plenty of parking. read more
