The newest Keke's location just opened up in lutz, and lemme start by day that it's still the same good food you'd expect from them. I go to the one in Carrollwood often, and have tried a bunch of stuff on their menu. My favorites being the omelets and the choco chip pancakes. This new location is bigger in size than the one there and in citrus park. I was kind of shocked. It was clean, busy and the usual Keke's I expected. Here is where they fall short for me though- the service. I know, I know. It's a new location, but basics were not given here. The waitress seemed a bit nervous although nice, but forgot multiple parts of our order. The wait for the food was long also. Almost 45-50 min. That's after waiting about 45 min just to get in the place. Once inside though, it didn't look that busy. Just some slower service. The food, when it did come out, was HUGE. Check the picture of the pancakes I posted. I couldn't even finish one of the pancakes let alone 3 of them. On that part, I was satisfied for the price and quality. I suspect that once they get the service portion right, it will do just as good as the other Keke's. read more

This restaurant makes it impossible to order a tradition breakfast without an up charge. The egg breakfasts don't include meat. The combos require you to include a waffle, pancake or French toast Impossible to order eggs, bacon & fruit without it costing way too much! It was absolutely awful... and so expensive. Two of our meals had hair in them. The side salad came after the meal & it was literally just a bed of iceberg lettuce and nothing else. I was told you have to ask if you want anything else on your salad. I asked for no mayo on my sandwich and I added an egg to my sandwich. My sandwich came out with mayo and then the egg came out later, on a separate plate. My sons burger was so greasy that the bun was completely soggy. This is a great little breakfast spot. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. The food comes out pretty fast and always looks pleasing to the eye. They also have a decent amount of waffles, pancakes and French toast to choose from, if that's your thing. I especially appreciate the fruit bowl. There's no hunky pieces of melon in there, no siree. I ordered a classic Eggs Benedict to go. When I arrived home, I found the hollandaise sauce missing from the order. The sauce is pretty much the centerpiece of this dish so I drove back to request my money back. After handing the front end supervisor my receipt and the incomplete order, they went back to discuss the manner with some of the kitchen staff. They came back to go through my order again in case the sauce mysteriously re-appeared. Than they handed me a refund receipt but they insisted that I lied that the sauce was missing because the kitchen staff claimed that they included it. So no apologies for the missing sauce. No apologies for having me drive twice to their cafe. No attempt by the management to make the order right by offering to re-make the order or an offer to come back another time for the order. Instead they refund me and call me a liar. Very classy establishment. Before placing this review, I did reach out to their corporate website and left feedback about my visit with that location. It's been 4 days and they haven't attempted to reach me by phone or email. So now I post my experience with Yelp. read more

We came here for a quick bite to eat and were both pretty disappointed. I ordered a BLT with sweet potato fries. My husband ordered the stuffed banana walnut caramel French toast with bacon and eggs. My BLT was just okay. It had a ton of mayo and little bacon. My husband's French toast was very cold so we had to send it back. Our silverware was also dirty. We were both just unimpressed with our meals. I will say that our waitress Hayley was fantastic. She was quick and friendly and very apologetic. Sadly, I don't think of return here. read more

The food was good and the fried potatoes are to die for!! The menu is not very GF friendly. I'm Gluten free and had to have a $3.50 up charge to substitute 1 piece of toast to a small cup of fruit. I thought it would just be a dollar or so like most places. If there were more gluten friendly options I'd love to go back but I don't want to pay $3.50 (which should be a larger side) for an easy substitution due to allergies. I do know my friends really enjoyed their waffles and pancakes however so hopefully most of the menu is enjoyable for those with no GF conflict! read more

This place is awesome! The food is so food, you won't regret going here. They have something on the menu for everyone (vegetarian and vegan options available too). It's great for families and friends to have a nice breakfast. They also have great hangover cures too. They are famous for their French toast and pancakes, they have many different options of fruits and flavors to incorporate with them. Rather than apologize and get some manager involvement I was just ignored by the server. Then I was presented the bill for full price on an omelette that I hardly touched. My daughter and I have eaten here twice because it's close and isn't as crowded as First Watch. I think we will deal with the crowds next time. The food is average. I ordered a burger which was 2 flat patties, most likely frozen, but my bad since brunch places don't specialize in burgers. The service is robotic.... neither servers we had were very friendly. No extra napkins? Isn't that server rule #4? and server forgot bacon for my kid's burger and we were her only table. We went in around 1:10pm and there was non stop cleaning going on all around our table including pulling booths away from the walls and into the aisle. I get that the staff want to get out as soon as they close, but heavy cleaning is not cool to do around customers while they eat. It was not a nice experience and I won't go back there. I tried Keke's Breakfast Cafe and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. I ordered a Western Omelet. The dish came with potato's, and toast. Plenty of food for the money. My friend ordered pancakes and sausage. The pancakes were as big as the plate. Service was top notch. Our waitress, Caitlyn, was very attentive and polite and filled our drinks when required. Breakfast is served until 10:30 am and Keke's closes at 2:30 pm. I will return to try the rest of their menu. Give this place a try. read more

People that got there AFTER us, got their food before us. Obviously annoyed I asked where our food was and to please pack it to-go. When our food food arrived, it was wrong. Asked for the manager who NEVER arrived because "he was cooking". I've been to various locations of Keke's before in Orlando, fletcher etc. I have never received such poor service like this, let alone not being given the time of the day by the manager. read more

Raw potatoes, undercooked poached egg, and lackluster customer service! Went there after golf with my dad at 1:30 pm on 11/8. The location looked clean, and the lunch crowd looked to be thinning out. Noticed several servers working, and the manager walking around to tables. Ordered 2 egg combo add bacon, as well as the Eggs Benedict... both with home fries. Food came out timely. One of the poached eggs was a little under, with some runny egg white, which I'm ok with. The other was cooked well. Waited several minutes for the server to return to the table; needed some hot sauce, which she came back quickly with. Unfortunately, at this point we realize half the home fries are raw. We notify the server of this, and she offers to have them redo a side. I hesitantly say yes, wondering how long it would actually take. I told my father to hold off on eating his breakfast. We waited, and waited, and waited... not seeing another server for at least 8-10minutes. By then we were done with breakfast, and didn't touch the potatoes she that she finally brought out. I told her it took a lot longer than I had expected, which she replied, "I asked the kitchen to cook the potatoes well." I told her we were already done with breakfast, and asked for a check. At which point she was curt, unapologetic, and generally lacking in customer service skills. Honestly, I thought she couldn't care less. I considered asking for the manager, but wanted to get the hell out of there. If you want a breakfast joint that serves raw potatoes, and then is rude to you, Keke's is for you!!!!!
