Just left after a very mediocre, borderline poor experience. The service was great, but the food was poor. My husbands chocolate chip waffle was fine at best, and the sausage links were good. My blueberry waffle (with a $4 up charge for being considered 'specialty') came with a small handful of blueberries on top, not even baked in. The waffle itself tasted like it was premade and had been sitting under a heat lamp for at least 15 minutes. If you're a company that prides itself on waffles and pancakes, then take pride in the food you serve to customers. I don't often write poor reviews, but spending nearly $50 on lukewarm coffee, tasteless scrambled eggs, and a dry, unpleasantly chewy waffle (served with hard, ice cold butter that was impossible to spread) warrants it. read more

We come here often and there hasn't been many times we have been disappointed, there's always usually a wait which I don't mind because it's my favorite breakfast place. Food is great, but management sucks. This place has "standards" and regardless of what a customer requests, they are unaccommodating which is ridiculous. They want to serve their food "as is" on the menu and their view of a "good menu" is what management wants, not the customer. Also, for how casual their uniforms are, they are highly against individuality so if you plan to work here get ready to put bandaids on those tattoos! They're just so out of touch with reality. This was not one of the better experiences I've had at a kekes restaurant. We ordered scrambled soft eggs and received eggs that were over hard. The waffle came out hard enough to throw against the wall. Some of the Bacon came out burnt. Yet with all of these mishaps, the GM did nothing to accommodate us as far as compensation. We were here celebrating a birthday and ask the server if anything special was done for birthdays. She simply laughed and stated no. This was a very busy Saturday, however they were individual standing around clearly doing nothing. As a result, our service was average to say the least. Once I ordered were corrected we did have a good dining experience as far as food, flavor, and taste. Came in around brunch time. Get there and I immediately notice the floors. They are wet wet wet every where and no wet floor sign. Proceed with caution as the flooring is not restaurant quality flooring and extremely slippery. I was with a guest that had just had a hip replacement she was nervous to walk to the seat and to get up after brunch. The food was good. The menu choices are very simple nothing too complex. Not somewhere I'd frequently go. But for a quick bite sure its good. The atmosphere is good. People do go here so it was busy. Ordered sandwiches. I will say this. If you want anything other than chips with your sandwich it'll cost you between 1.50 and 4.00. And the kids meals do not come with drinks and the kids side is fries. If you want a healthier alternative its extra. The bill averages 11.50 a person. 2 adults and one child. Not worth it really. But definetly worth a try. read more

I was so happy to know that a Keke's restaurant was coming to my area. It seemed to take a very long time to open. But I'm thankful it's finally here. I went on a Saturday morning which is always a very busy time at Keke's. My estimated wait time was 45 mins. I debated with myself whether I should wait it out or not because I was very hungry and I had lots of errands to run. But the smell of the aroma of bacon and eggs in the waiting area got the best of me so I decided to brave it out and wait. To my surprise the wait ended up only being about 25 mins which I didn't feel at all because I engaged myself in conversation with other guest who were waiting. Now to the food! Firstly, we had a great server who greeted us promptly after we were seated and took our order. Their hot chocolate was so good with whipped cream on top. Our main entree took a while but this to me was somewhat expected on a very busy Saturday morning. Both me and my breakfast date ordered from their create your own breakfast combo. Their pancakes are very huge. If you're not a big pancake eater or even if you are one seems to be enough. The French toast are to die for dusted with cinnamon and white sugar. You can get two with the combo along with two large eggs prepared to your liking with a choice of home fries, sausage or ham steak. The combo starts at $8.99 and goes up to $9.99. In my opinion that's not too bad for a good breakfast with large portions. I enjoyed my breakfast and I will be back. Probably on a weekday when it's less crowded. read more

It is so hard for me to go somewhere for breakfast other than First Watch. However, a friend of mine recommended this place or breakfast and said the next time I was in Florida I should give it a try. I am glad we decided to stop by :) For starters, we were sat right away with no wait :) Our server was very nice and very entertaining. She had jokes for all of us and just made our stay very pleasant. There was about 6 of us and that early in the morning, we needed a good laugh. Some of the entrees we ordered were the french toast combo which came with 2 thick slices of french toast and 2 eggs and bacon. For that specific entree everything was fairly good. Another entree we ordered was the Florida Waffle. This is a pretty big waffle loaded with strawberries and banana. My stepdad enjoyed it very much and said it was pretty filling. They even gave a plate full on the side of whip cream. Pretty much everything our table ordered was pretty good, some people also ordered omelettes and they were very impressed. The only thing I would recommend for this location is add more options and make combos. A lot of the specialty waffles are just waffles, so no eggs or meat unless you want to add an extra side for additional costs. I do feel like you can get similar meals at other breakfast locations that come with combos at a fairly decent price. I do think this place is a little pricey especially with some of the "meals" not including anything other than a waffle or a pancake by itself. read more

I purposely did not look at other reviews so my experience would not be tainted. When my husband and I arrived the line was out the door, with a 45 min wait time which did not bother us. We were sat at our table and immediately ordered our food. Our food came out five minutes after we ordered. I had french toast topped with strawberries, blueberries, and bananas with a side of bacon. My husband had apple cinnamon waffle with a side of turkey bacon and home fries. Our meal was very tasty. The Huge portion sizes was a plus. Our waitress was friendly and the restaurant was clean. This was my first and likely last time to Keke's Breakfast Cafe. The wait was around 20 minutes and we were seated in about half that time. The staff at the stand were friendly. We had Ashley as our server. She was very polite and nice. The service was not really the issue. One of my biggest pet peeves is when restaurants send out food in shifts. My nephew received part of his order. I received the wrong order and the runners quickly disappeared without anything for my sister. I waited a good 5 minutes before Ashley came to check in on us and I handed off my incorrect food - still with no order for my sister and missing pieces for my nephew. We finally got everything about 5-10 minutes later. The home fries were both undercooked and overcooked at the same time and I didn't touch them. My food was cold by the time we were able to all eat (and there were still pieces we had to get exchanged out, missing items, etc). For a place this busy and the price we ended up paying, as well as all the good reviews I was shocked at my experience. The service saved this from being a much worse review. Save your money and hit up another breakfast place. read more

My wife had to send her order back because it wasn't cooked thoroughly. A few minutes later, our waiter stopped by to ask if she wanted a different choice as the manager didn't want to remake her original order. This was after they had run out of her first choice. Seriously? A manager that doesn't want to remake a customer's order. I guess that's his prerogative. And it's my prerogative to stop coming here and go back to First Watch. Parking is easy as they have their own lot. The food was good. It was your typical breakfast place. However and the reason for three stars is this. While the breakfast was good it was not the best thing ever. Also and I feel this should be something all restaurants by now understand is timing. Let me explain, I ordered an omelette with home fries, my wife and children pancakes. Their food( which is easier to cook fast) came out 15-20 minutes before my own. Now I know they are busy and I understand that, but they should realize to not make the pancakes first and just serve them while the other person gets there food once everyone else has eaten. My fiancé and I loved it. According to my fiancé it was the best bacon he has had in years (and he was born and raised here in Florida). He had the pancakes (they were HUGE) I had the waffle and a side of sausage. Staff was really nice and both managers and staff invited us to come back and see them again! Good food, great vibe. Very accommodating place - I got my tea the way I like and the only thing that I couldn't get was avocado. But then again, this could just be a California thing.
