This is the wonderful auto repair shop I just got a smog service at.

This business was beyond friendship and kind. I went in for a smog check and The girl that works the front desk named Blue gave me a 10% discount and she didn't even know me. She was just a wonderful person who showed she actually cares about people. Highly recommend!!!!!

Milage when I picked up the car.

Horrible communication, owner Elias and reception- Sherry, Lied to buy themselves more time with my car. Said they had to "order a part for compression test - and once that came in my numbers were all over the place with 1 cylinder being 25" - i wouldnt have been able to drive my car at all if that were the case, and I drive 40+ miles daily. Yet still had me to come down for pick up. AFTER I got there they had a ' friend of the shop ' do the test drive and said there are check engine lights and codes for misfire, barely made it back around the block. I asked to see the car and go on test drive and was told the car should not be driven like that. ( which the car was fine upon taking it in ) Had to leave it over night causing me to pay for an Uber to work instead of the arrangement to come back to finish 2nd half leakdown test on a cold car another day. Next day Elias says he "cleaned" the sparkplugs and did the leak down test and now all my numbers are with in normal range, no check engine light no misfire. They also don't know how to make a written quote/estimate- receptionist said thay in 20 years, they have NEVER been asked for a written quote. I think their clients are blind to the advantage Elias is taking of them. They also put 8 miles on my car. Why did they need to drive it so far for a compression test. There was no need. They also returned my car with black grime all over the exterior door ( white car ) interior door panel and steering wheel. I wipe down often after covid. NEVER HAS A MECHANIC CAUSED ME SO MUCH STRESS and needless additional money. DO NOT GO HERE. I was referred by Discount tire, I went and told them what happened and the manager was appalled and apologetic- saying he will not refer there again.

It is hard to find an auto service place that you can trust but Kellem's is definitely honest and reliable.

No check engine light , but mileage was close to recommend replacement. I scheduled both cars and was able to get them by the end of the day. The front desk people were very patient and answered all my questions. Pros: price was fair about 2/3 of dealership mechanic. No surprise charges l. Same day service. Cons: They could explain more up front when you drop off your vehicle. Call sooner with updates.

AAMCO - 1521 W. Redlands Blvd., Redlands, CA: My Experience…read more I strongly recommend that customers carefully consider their experience and get everything in writing before authorizing work at this location. I initially discussed a charge of approximately $2,400 for removing my transmission, cleaning it, diagnosing the problem, and reinstalling it. I was told that an estimate for parts could not be provided until the transmission was inspected. After the inspection, I was given a parts estimate of more than $3,000, bringing the total projected cost close to $7,000. I told Rick that I could not afford that amount and instructed him to put my transmission back in the vehicle because I intended to take it somewhere else. I also requested an invoice and a copy of the estimate. Instead, I received a payment link for approximately $2,600. I did not agree to or authorize that amount. I reminded Rick that the amount we had discussed was approximately $2,400, and he subsequently mentioned a $500 first-time-customer discount. When I went to pick up my vehicle, a confrontation occurred with an AAMCO representative. During the confrontation, I was pushed against the door of my vehicle multiple times. I repeatedly said, "Get off of me. Don't touch me." I raised my right forearm to create distance between us. I told him that I intended to report the incident. I recorded video immediately afterward showing the representative walking away. The business gate was also closed while I was there. I asked the responding Redlands police officer multiple times whether I was being detained and was told that I was not. I repeatedly requested that the gate be opened so I could leave and it wasn't. A supervisor eventually responded and reviewed the available video. AMR also responded and evaluated me at the scene. Following the incident, I experienced tightness on the left side of my body, extending from the base of my neck toward my left elbow. My concerns are not simply about the cost of the repair. I am extremely disappointed by how the billing dispute and, more importantly, the confrontation were handled. My advice to anyone considering this location: get every price and authorization in writing, carefully review any charges before paying, keep copies of all estimates and communications, and document your experience if a dispute occurs.
