Pretty decent for mall food. Kelly's cajun grill is located in the food court at the Grapevine Mills mall. I am pretty sure they must be owned by the same owners of the Thai restaurant in the food court because their food is very similar as is their pricing structure. These folks give you samples so you know what you are getting. I ordered the honey chicken and spicy shrimp combo. Everything was fresh and hot. I have to say I like the shrimp best, but both were good. The service was very friendly and the gentleman were happy to give me samples of anything that I wanted to try. The servings were so big I could not finish them. Easily enough for two to share. The ambience is typical food court at the mall. Lots of choices for Chinese American food in this food court. I came here with a group of people and we tried the orange chicken and Lo Mein from all four of these stores. I think this one was the best. The Lo mein at Panda Express was slightly crunchier but I liked the food overall better here. That being said, Panda Express doesn't heckle you as you walk by while the other three do so there's that. read more

These guys really wanted that sale! The employee behind the counter kept calling out to passerby's "What can I get you?" almost aggressively eager. I get it though-- you're one shop out of a dozen at a busy mall food court. You gotta capture folks before they wander over to the next spot and purchase there. I was treated to not one but THREE free samples, each a large meaty hunk that had me questioning if I needed to order anything at all or if I would be sufficiently fed by simply looking indecisive and being offered additional samples, LOL. I decided to get a "one entree, one side plate" though cuz it felt wrong to just cruise all the shops 'til I was full. Plus the shrimp was looking fire. They heaped it on and were clearly also hoping to entice me to fill the final reservoir of the to-go container with another entree as they eagerly gestured at the options and asked "What else can I get you?!" I think I also disappointed them by not buying a beverage (I got a strawberry slush at the Sonic instead, pfft-- hey, food courts are great for addressing simultaneous desires). Anyway, food was plentiful, tasty, and at what qualifies for a decent price range in these inflated times... Took a seat by the carousel to watch kids having fun go round and round while we ate. This is inside the mall food court, next to another Asian fast food restaurant and only a few spots down from another Asian fast food spot. Along with other spots, employees try to give out lots of samples (almost annoyingly so) and when I responded I am just looking at the options, they said pick something from us! I couldn't decide between the fried rice and lomein, so I asked for both and only ordered the broccoli chicken with 1 egg roll. I added a strawberry lemonade to my order. They charge extra for both sides (and didn't advise of the upcharge when they were making my to-go order) and the chicken was super dry. The drink is $4 and was super watery/sugary and I ended up throwing it out - the liquid kept sloshing out from under the lid, and my hand was sticky and wet. Their seafood options didn't look appetizing at all. If their name is Cajun Grill - they should only have Cajun varieties, as it was rather confusing to find generic Chinese food when there is a Japanese and Chinese places within 2 minutes of each other in the food court. read more

Hit up with a free sample was all it took to get me to select this particular food option. Checking out the various options in the food court, the sample I got from these guys tasted best. I opted for the single entree adding shrimp. I wasn't disappointed as it was pretty good for mall food. What was even better was the price...very reasonable. Cajun Grill I've eaten here for more then 5 years and it has been the same ever since. They always give out free samples everyday. When I would visit the mall I would always go to the food court just to get samples. If I had to eat at the food court this place would be my go to spot. Cajun Grill is cheaper then Panda express and just as expensive as Thai kitchen. Cajun Grill doesn't really serve Cajun food, they serve Americanized Chinese food. The main difference between Panda express and Cajun Grill is that Cajun is cheaper and Panda Express taste better and better quality. Cajun Grill also has punch cards when you order something. After going here for more then 5 years, the dishes that I recommend getting is Burbon chicken (which is grilled chicken), Jalapeño chicken (breaded chicken), and fried rice. The things I don't really like are the orange chicken because it doesn't taste fresh and the breading is soft. If your craving orange chicken go to Panda Express it's worth the extra money. If your craving teriyaki chicken Maki of Japan has good teriyaki chicken. read more

Food is good. Customer service is atrocious. Iv been here several times and a few times there is no issue in giving me just a cup of water I even offer to pay for it.. There is one girl who works behind the counter who wants to sell me a bottle of water for $3 and I just want a cup of water. She can't wrap her head around just providing a cup and charging me $1 or even $2 for it. Then just stares blankly until you pay. I know this is small and stupid to complain about but it's workers like this who want $15 an hour but can't use common sense. And I HAVE received a cup of water here before both for free and charged. Orange chicken was akin to grocery store frozen products. They are very generous with the rice though. Got enough rice for 4 meals. I went to Grapevine Mills for lunch with the sole intention of getting my pizza fix done at Sbarro. I was distracted by the lunch deal offered here at Kelly's for $6.99. I took a sample of the orange chicken, which was no bueno. I settled on the blackened chicken and the bourbon chicken, which were satisfactory. I think place is misnamed, though, as I'm pretty sure that noodles and chopsticks are not Cajun cuisiine. Anyway, the noodles I got with the chicken were not really good, and I sampled the thai chicken down the way, and theirs was better. Got there by 2:40pm. There's a couple of ladies that was in front of me. Food looks appetizing. Various of choices. I decided to try them. When it was my turn to order, I was assisted my the guy behind the line. I told him I would like to order 1side 2meat combo platter. He asked me what would I like, pointed the shrimp and mushroom chicken. And He asked me what side would I like, I told him I want steamed rice. And then he said to me I cant order steamed rice for sides if I would order 1side 2 meat combo platter. I just don't want to make the conversation longer so I agreed to what he want to give me. It was 2 sides and 2 meat combo. I really don't need 2sides of steamed rice coz I am not that hungry. He was rushing me to finish my order because there are other customers on the line. I get that he needs to attend to their order or something, but he was so rude and he rushed me through out my order. Food was ok, if you're hungry. It was not great. Honestly, the service while I was there was terrible, and it really disappointed me to an extreme. I found the idea of shrimp etoufee (the spelling is slipping from me, my apologies) and saw there was no one in line, even close to the area they were located. I went to the counter to place my order and immediately the servers began rushing me terribly. "Lo mein or rice?" They asked me immediately. I replied politely that I'd like to order the etoufee, which, technically would come with rice, but- "Lo mein or rice?" I decided maybe they hadn't heard me, so I spoke up, then I thought maybe I was in the wrong place, but all their signs advertised Cajun. They put lo mein on my plate and some sort of chicken, not only rushing me but no longer giving me an option. They charged me and I couldn't force myself to tip them, whether I'd been treated poorly due to my younger age or something else I felt very humiliated and frustrated with the situation. They shooed me away, and their line was empty once more. As for the food itself, the chicken is fatty and poorly seasoned, the noodles taste like cardboard. read more

The fact that they only offer shrimp ettouffe, rather than the more traditional crawfish should have been a warning. I really never eat more than the fried rice, but that is very yummy, especially when you ask to have extra bourbon sauce added. My husband likes the bourbon chicken, and he usually gets the potatoes as his second side. This is our go-to spot in Grapevine Mills Mall. Delicious, especially for eating at the mall. read more
