Do not do business with Ken Garff Ford Cheyenne. Our experience with this dealership has been incredibly disappointing, and we feel completely misled. When we purchased our vehicle, the finance rep, Eric Harms, sold us an expensive extended warranty by describing it as essentially bumper-to-bumper coverage. He specifically gave us examples like if the electronics or DVD player failed, it would be covered. He even gave another example, saying that if we accidentally damaged the upholstery with something sharp in our pocket, the warranty would pay to replace it. Those statements gave us every reason to believe we were purchasing great coverage, so we agreed to spend thousands of dollars on the warranty. Fast forward to today, and we now have an issue with the vehicle's electronics--the exact type of repair we were told would be covered. Instead, we've been told it is not covered under the warranty. What makes this even worse is that we were never given a copy of the actual warranty contract when we purchased the vehicle. The only paperwork we received showed what we paid for the warranty and how to contact the warranty company. There was nothing explaining what was actually covered or excluded. It wasn't until I called the warranty company myself that I was finally provided a copy of the contract. If we had been given the contract at the time of purchase, we could have reviewed the coverage ourselves instead of relying on the verbal promises made in the finance office. We feel the warranty was misrepresented, and the lack of transparency regarding the contract only reinforces that feeling. A dealership should be honest about what customers are buying and provide the documentation needed to make an informed decision. I would not consider buying a vehicle or an extended warranty from Ken Garff Ford Cheyenne, learn from our experience. Demand the complete warranty contract before you sign anything, and don't rely on verbal explanations of what is supposedly covered. WORST SERVICE DEPARTMENT I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH. I have traveled from coast to coast in a ford, in both company and personal FORD vehicles, and NEVER FOUND ONE quite like this. Service advisor literally said, well if you dont want to pay for them, ill just have the technician remove the filters, ENGINE AIR, FUEL FILTERS, and OIL FILTERS Dont bother taking a vehicle with FORD maintenance package here. They are gonna nickel and dime you ALL THE WAY. I have a 2024 superduty, with ford premium maintenance. According to the dealer, i owe labor on all items they replace / maintain because i "requested" them in the service ticket, air filter, cabin filter, oil filter, fuel filter, etc. bottom line if you as the customer "request maintenance" they see an open ticket to charge you....... Irregardless if you are in the MANUFACTURER service interval or not. They have the worst service department ever seen I made an appointment for 730 waited two hours for a recall to be fixed check on status then to be told it would be another 45min to an hour. When I checked in they originally told me it would be an hour tops. What a bunch of liars that's why I never buy cars local. read more

We purchased a vehicle from Ken Garff in Cheyenne, when we went through the process we purchased an extended warranty. When we talked to the crook of a salesman/ finance d bag. He blatantly lied, he said we could have the services done at any Ken Graff and that's bull we have to go to Cheyenne, now we have an issue with the vehicle and the warranty doesn't cover bumper to bumper like he stated. We combed through it and purchased a higher coverage warranty to make sure electronics were covered and now we find out it doesn't cover that. I would be very skeptical in purchasing anything from this dealership. They are shady and very dishonest! What's the general manager gunna do he got his money. They had a truck on the lot with a little hail damage and I was going to trade my truck in. I asked them to fix the damage and I'd pay for it. The price with damage was $58k (MSRP was $68). They told me with it fixed plus my trade in I'd have to pay $75k. After I explained the same truck is in Denver for $63, the manager said well the MSRP is $68...I don't think she understands what the "S" stands for in MSRP. I went to the dealership to purchase a 2024 Bronco. The price listed on their website was great. So we started the process when the sales manager showed up with a totally different price and would not honor the price on the dealership web site. Was told that they automatically add a military rebate in the price because "this is a military town". Another manager got involved and admitted that he was unaware of this practice. His excuse was "all pricing is done by corporate". Such BS. After much discussion they agreed to honor the web site price. Very fishy negotiation tactics!! I was also unable to take the Bronco for a test drive because of a dead battery. No offer was made to fix the problem so that I could. At least the salesman and finance manager were great. read more

BAD BUSINESS!!! I bought my Ford Explorer from this dealership a few years back. I called the dealership to inquire about a possible recall on my vehicle. The associate that took my call told me to bring the vehicle in to look at it. While on the phone they asked me if there is anything else I would like them to check. I stated all that was wrong with the vehicle plus the need for an oil change. Upon bringing in the vehicle they ran a $200 diagnostic only to tell me only the things I had already stated to them. Never was it explained that they would be doing a diagnostic or that it would cost $200. They charged $209 in service to apply 3M tape to the door panel. Part of their oil change is a tire rotation and a vehicle wash. No vehicle wash was performed as promised. After taking the vehicle from the dealership the car pulls to the right and has an intense shake while driving. My vehicle now runs WORSE than when it arrived. I had to take it to another shop to fix what they messed up. Hopefully you don't use this company as you will likely regret it. read more

I had 2 "broken" windshield washer nozzles according to another dealership in Cheyenne. I then went to Ken Garff to check with my warranty which I had thru them to see if this was covered. It is not, BUT, Mike offered to take a look at it because it may be a small fix. (note) Fixing windshield washers is not as easy as they used to be. We spent 15 minutes taking the hood blanket off, adjusting/recalibrating the nozzles and it was fixed. I bought a "Gold Certified" used car and was told that all the maintenance had been performed up to date, and the oil changed. After 1000 miles the oil change due light comes on, and after having a bad experience with them during the purchasing process I decided I would do it myself. Under the car were two big holes in the lower splash guard from the previous owner hitting a parking stop (I assume) and a cheap "Microgard" oil filter on it. 1- Overly pushy sales manager. 2. Extremely aggressive and pushy finance guy. 3. Flat out lied about the inspection/ oil change. 4. Tried to keep us in the dealership extra HOURS before they were available to sign the documents. 5. Price on the internet did not reflect all their "Add-ons". I told them to pound sand and bought the car without the extra charge for the "already installed" additional charges. They are continuing the stigma of the used car salesman. Don't trust what they say, don't buy into the sales pitch. We drove up from Colorado, because we were quoted 22,500 for our Subaru as a trade in. When we arrived, with our baby, it took the manager Kristin almost two hours to test drive our car, only to return and quote it at 17,500. This place is misleading and lazy and doesn't feel bad about wasting your time. Overall, we brought a 2021 car with 27,000 miles on it to trade and they wanted to charge us $17,000 for an older car with 125,000 miles on it. You can do the math. read more

I'd give them zero stars if I could. The shop took 5 days just to diagnose my vehicle's problems. The quote they gave me was more than twice what other shops around town quoted me. I never heard from anyone at the shop unless I called to ask the status. Traveling west, pulling a travel trailer across Nebraska, my old SUV blew out a head gasket. I limped into Cheyenne, WY with the need of finding a different vehicle as quickly as possible. I visited several dealers and then went to Ken Garff. I told them my situation and my requirements (e.g., low price, least amount of 'bells and whistles', dependable, looks really didn't matter). The salesman, Oliver, was really good. There was no up-selling, no trying to get me to spend more. He graciously stayed after closing time to help me. I settled on a 2014 Chevy 2500HD. Bigger than I was hoping for, but I was in a bind and this truck was really nice for the price ($15 -20K less than smaller trucks or SUVs). I did have to return the next morning when banks were open - no biggie. The next morning, Oliver and the rest of the staff got me the financing I needed. During their negotiating with the lender, without me even knowing about it, they lowered their sell price to get a better loan for me. They even helped me find a place to leave my old vehicle for a while so I could continue my westward trek. Only drawback was I was unprepared for the four hours to process paperwork, review and initial/sign all the legal papers, etc. Ken Garff staff listened to me and got me what I needed. read more

A few years of bad experiences on a 2014 F-350. I could write a book. In shop for warranty replacement of DEF temp sensor. They did the work so I was told. Left the shop and check engine light is on within a half day. Back to the shop. $1,300 for a new DEF pump, and a week later got the truck back. The truck has been driven 2200 miles since, and check engine message again. Back to the shop for diagnostic. $365.70 for the diagnostic. The service recommendation is to replace DEF pump for $1,888. Low use truck so the pump is out of warranty on time elapsed. Additional service recommended is upper oil pan gasket and rear main seal that are leaking oil. They replaced both 10,000 miles ago under warranty. Estimate is $3,768. I think I need to find a shop competent to repair a 6.7 Ford diesel truck. read more

Keeping it simple, I am a Toyota customer for life and most of the service departments have fantastic reviews, but not this one. I have had so many issues with these guys in Cheyenne that I highly recommend taking your vehicle to Laramie or FoCo for service. They to this day never return calls for service issues and even the manager (Steve ) won't call back . It's as if they avoid problems by thinking they will go away. They have cost me money through their own negligence and won't work with me to resolve the issue. Terrible service and tons of mistakes have led me to this post. Recently I wrote what should be a no star review for Ken Garff Toyota. I just want to come back to rave two amazing ladies at Ken Garff ford. They are Amanda in service scheduling and Angel the sales woman. These ladies listened to me, they fixed my issues, and treated me so well! Toyota has treated me like I'm crazy with a sealing issue causing the cabin on my new used car to be extremely loud. The sales manager at Toyota has treated me awful. He said he would take care of this no matter what, I talked to him face to face twice which one the times he got red faced angry at me. He promised me call backs multiple times and never got back to me. The scheduling at Toyota also has scheduled me multiple appointments and then it turns out I don't have an appointment. I can't say enough negative things about our experience buying a vehicle from Ken Garff, but I will most certainly try on here and in person. This dealership installs a tracker on every used vehicle on the lot and attempts to charge you about $800 for the "service" of having a third party tracker on your vehicle. It provides "useful information" such as maintenance reminders/lights, mileage, fuel, speed, and location. (It's plugged into your OBD2 port under the dash for any Ken Garff shoppers who are as offput by this as I was...) Creative way of attempting to upcharge people, I must say. Despite what the salesman and finance rep insisted, they "totally won't" use it as a tool to repo cars that have defaulted on their loans or track your location. Both of these individuals treated me like I was irrational for not wanting a tracker on the vehicle. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I don't trust third party companies that I've never heard of to be responsible with my location data. But maybe that's just me. Besides this one sour conversation, our finance rep was actually very polite, friendly, and pleasant to work with. It took me saying no three times, and eventually saying that I would walk if they didn't remove the tracker for the salesman to finally say "Ok we won't charge you and will take it off". We didn't learn until we were signing finance papers that they have a "dealership policy" of leaving the tracker on the vehicle whether you pay for it or not (hence my previous comment about where it is installed). This all seems like something you'd find at a scummy used car dealership, and isn't something I'd necessarily expect from an authorized Ford, Toyota, Hyundai dealership. Our salesman, Oliver Robinson, was unpleasant to deal with, bragged about how much money he spends/makes the entire time we were working with him, and made some potentially misleading comments about the military bringing him to Cheyenne. Full context: my wife asked him if he was from Cheyenne, he said "no", she asked what brought him to town, he said "the military", I asked him "airforce?", and he said "yup. " Direct quotes. He did not disclose to us until the end of the sales process that he was, in fact, NOT in the military, and he just moved to Cheyenne because his brother was stationed here. This could have just been a misunderstanding on our part, but I am a veteran and did make military related small talk with him throughout the sale/negotiation. He didn't clarify that he didn't serve until we had already agreed to a price. Every fellow vet that I have described this interaction to agrees that it is misleading at best. I imagine he'd know better than to mislead potential customers about military service because doing so for financial gain effectively meets the legal definition of Stolen Valor. If this was not a misunderstanding, and his intention was, in fact, to make us think he served in the military, then shame on him. I will not be coming back to any Ken Garff dealership for any reason, and I will not recommend Ken Garff to any I meet who is looking for a car. This was the worst car buying experience I've ever had, and that is a low bar to not exceed. read more

I had called and made an appointment, it was 3 weeks before I could get in for 2 recall issues and my Liftgate had quit working a long with an accident alert sensor affecting my cruise control. I signed up for text messaging. After making this appointment I checked my fuses and fixed the Liftgate issue, and texted the message system I signed up for I had fixed it. After taking my explorer in and reiterating I'd fixed the lift gate issue, I received a call saying the vehicle was finished and that to fix the Liftgate issue I needed a new keypad for the door lock system. And that they found no issue with the sensor, they had just ran a scan and it didn't show anything for the sensor. I told them I was not going to pay for a scan, I'd already fixed the Liftgate and that I did in fact have a accident sensor issue. They told me they would look into it. This was Friday afternoon, I called later in the afternoon, they assured me it would be looked at on Friday. Monday comes along I text them about my vehicle and no response. Tuesday I call leave a voice mail, I call Tuesday after noon again they want me to leave a voice mail. I call right back say I want to speak to someone about my car and the issues with service. Thấy transfer my call to the head service manager again I get a voice mail! I get a call and was told my repair ticket was closed. They do some checking and say your car was picked up! I said it was not then they say oh it's finished, you need a new accident sensor. When I get there they can't find my service order or my keys after half an hour I said let me tell you the story, halfway through one of the service writers said oh I know this and off they go in search of keys again. Finally after checking to make sure the car was there (and I said maybe the keys in it to which they assured me it wasn't) they find my key. The service writer told me the sensor was somewhere in the front cowling area and to replace the sensor it needed to be takin off, I said how them could the see it was bad he said oh you can look from over or under and see it. They are very shady and I'd never go there again! read more

I took my car in for an airbag recall. Everything was working fine when I dropped it off. My A/C and heat was coming from my vents as it should. When I pick it up, I still had heat and A/C but only now it was blowing from my floorboards only. I took it back to them because I don't believe in coincidences everything worked until they worked on my car. I thought maybe the mode actuator was unplugged or it was a fuse. They called back and wanted to tear the whole dash out of my car for $750.00 5 hrs of work, they thought it might be the blend door actuator. I said absolutely not, I went and picked up my car and Did some you tube. It could be 1 of 3 things. I was hoping it was not an actuator, the symptoms I read fit the mode actuator more then the blend door 3rd thing was it could be the climate control so I went to the junk yard and bought a $20.00 climate control panel and installed it in 10 mins with the help of U tube. I am a 50 old women that had a VERY LUCKLY day, it WORKED. The problem was my climate control a 10 min fix not a 5 hour job. I am afraid to see what my bill would have been if I would have let them tear my dash out to find out that was not the blend door actuator and then had to pay for a new climate control. Maybe it shorted out when they unhooking the battery maybe not. All I know is it all worked until I took it in. It Pretty sad they over looked a simple fit and went right to hardest and most expensive part to repair. I am happy my A/C and heat is back to working correctly. I am mad I had to fix it myself. I am a housewife not a mechanic. I'll never be back. But I am more then HAPPY that my junk yard part worked. It was a VERY happy Day for me indeed to have my A/C back all for $20 and 10 mins of labor. read more

We have bought several Ford vehicles from Spradley-Barr and had good experiences until three months ago. We took our 2020 F150 in for a routine oil change and got it back with an oil leak. Long story short, with the truck under warranty, they have dropped the transmission 4 times and replaced the rear main seal 4 times in less than a month and it still leaks. We have filed a claim with Ford because Ken Garff cannot fix it. The service department has had extreme poor communication and we have had to initiate all updates. To add insult to injury, the finance manager said, "We'll take care of you and we'll make this right." Not only did they offer us a trade-in that was less than our current loan value, the numbers they put in front of us would double our current payment. They have been unwilling to do ANYTHING about our situation to replace our vehicle. Needless to say, we won't be back to buy a car from Ken Garff of Cheyenne again and we will be letting everyone we know about our situation so they aren't stuck with a lemon that Ken Garff created and then won't do anything about it.
