The worst service experience I have ever had was with Spradley Barr in Cheyenne. They were slow, ordered the wrong part, broke part of my door and left the super glue that they tried to fix it with in my truck, threw the trash from the parts in the bed of my truck instead of disposing of it. Then they couldn't get my bill right even after I argued with them. A month later I get a refund check for what I told them was wrong in their bill. I sent emails to the Service Manager and Vice President. Never got a response from either one. They don't give a crap about customers or their own reputation. I will never deal with them again. This is a dishonest dealership with tremendously poor customer service. I purchased a 2020 Tundra and when I made the deal, I signed the sheet saying that the sales tax would be included in the loan. It was not. The dealership said they would modify the loan - which I was told could be done no problem - and came back and said, well, no we can't. The sales manager actually said, "Hey, it's not our problem, it's your problem." Buyer beware. This is what you'll get with a Spradley Barr deal. And when I spoke with the GM, he said basically that yes, it was a mistake, but not one they were willing to fix. And was rude about it. Condescending, even. Want a Toyota in southeast Wyoming? A good friend of mine went in after work ready to buy 2017 Ford Raptor, however, he drove his "beater" vehicle and not one of his expensive ones and my guess is didn't look the part. According to the sales person (who asked him what was he driving now and seemed to not believe that he had other vehicles) told him "not everyone can afford a $70k vehicle." If the condensing attitude and horrible customer service is any indication of future interactions with them I'd advise people to take their business elsewhere. read more

About 1-2 weeks ago I scheduled a car maintenance appointment online for my 2020 Toyota Corolla for today. They're doing some renovations at the Spradley Barr Toyota service area so I was given multiple reminders to go to the Spradley Barr Hyundai for it. I'm not from Cheyenne, and so when I got here I just followed the signs that said "Toyota Service" near the Hyundai building. I was parked for a while since I was really early until a man came up to my car and nicely asked if I was here for a car service and he directed me on where to go. I checked in and they estimated the 10,000 mile service would take about 1 hour and it ended up being finished in under 45 minutes! Also the waiting area had the chairs spread apart from each other and there is a vending machine with snacks and drinks. Since we just moved here, we haven't had the chance to get the car maintenance done and after this appointment driving the car definitely felt better than before. read more

He recommends the proper service (s) required for your vehicle. He is very Honest with you about whatever issue's that might be found wrong with your vehicle. We were driving cross country, from CT to CA, and very unluckily our Ford just stopped turning on while we were stopped in Cheyenne. Bringing the car to this service center, we weren't very hopeful that the car would be looked at because they were understaffed, we had no appointment, and we weren't from the area. The first day they told us they probably wouldn't be able to look at it that day, but they'd try. Take the end of the day, they called us to say that they had been able to look at it AND diagnose the problem. They ordered the part from Ford, again did not promise they could do it the next day, but surprised us (again!) by calling before noon and told us the car was all set. We had originally thought our unexpected stay might be a week, but thanks to this service center, we were able to keep on schedule for our trip. Thank you so much!!! read more

That vehicle was sold out from underneath us. No communication from the service department. Never told what is exactly wrong with the vehicle, just told they were waiting on parts. Stopped by Quick Lane for an oil change and tire rotation and balance at 815 am on a Monday morning, 2 hours later I'm still waiting. I asked the front of the shop guy to rotate and balance the tires and when I went to pay they hadn't done that. I asked how long it would take to add the tires and was told 20 minutes, so I said to go ahead that was over a half hour ago. Why does every Spradley Barr location struggle with completing work in a timely manner? I purchased my 2017 Ford Edge at Larry H Miller in Lakewood and they seem to have a better handle on getting the work done when they say it'll be done. read more

Body Shop They were able to get me in early for front end body work on my Jeep Patriot. The work was done quickly even though it was Thanksgiving week. There were a few minor scratches on the hood (you had to look at them at an angle to see them) and they got missed. I missed them due to the snow when I picked it up. I brought it back and they took it in then and 30 minutes later it was done. Otherwise this would have been a 5 star. Jennifer provided great customer service throughout the process. read more

I needed a place to drop off and park my truck for a couple days for the holidays. I figured it would be an easy task to just find someone who'd let me park it in the back of their dealership or somewhere on their lot. After visiting four dealerships in the same area who all were unhelpful, I said ok, time to just find the Ford dealership in the area. Ford always has good service and customer care. I went in, asked for a manager, and got the finance manager. I explained my situation, and asked if there was somewhere I could park my truck just for a couple days. It was refreshing to finally find someone who could help. I haven't purchased a vehicle here or got any repairs done, but I can say that their customer service is excellent. There was one salesman however that kept showing us stuff that we weren't at all interested in and out of our budget like I kept telling him, but that was just one of the whole crew over there. This is in reference directly to the Spradley Barr FORD service department (not the Quicklane). If I could give a 0 Star review I would. We moved to Cheyenne and we have a 2017 FORD F150 XLT that needed a few repairs. We took the truck in and they didn't give us a loaner to drive (because they make you rent a vehicle even if it is a warranty fix) and they had our truck for well over a week. It was like pulling teeth to have them give you a "rental" because they charge people money through A-1 Rental (which they own) to have have a replacement while things are being "fixed" even with a warranty. I am sure that tons of people fall for it also because they must have a vehicle to drive and Spradley gives them no other option. Then they would loan/rent/force the biggest pile of crap vehicle down your throat and even if you have a $60K truck (which we do) they don't care what you need to function. Then they take their sweet time fixing things and they don't respond when you call. You have to DRIVE TO THEM to get a response and the response is always, we don't have it in there to work on it yet or we can't duplicate the issue. So after a long period of time they supposedly "fixed the issues" so we went to pick up our vehicle and it was clearly not fixed. So the truck went back in again. This time it was there for over a week again and they supposedly fixed the issue again. This went back and forth multiple times. They were supposed to reprogram parts of the transmission, fix the issue the truck had when starting where it sounded like something was fluttering under the hood and any recalls that were on the truck. The time before the LAST TIME it was there my husband went to pick up the truck and it was snowing and brought it home. Two days later they called and said they had left a tool under the hood of the truck. So my husband went out and now the front of the truck was more visible and he checked the truck for the tool. When looking under the hood my husband noticed that they had broken the cover to our new cold air intake and put a HUGE scratch all along the front of the EXPENSIVE Specialty grill we bought and put on the truck. My husband called and was told to bring it back and they tried to say that they "did not do it" but somehow they decided to take responsibility for the issue and that they would "make it right". Pretty funny how that works! TWO WEEKS LATER, we get a phone call to come get the truck, they had fixed the broken parts on the intake and washed the truck. IT TOOK TWO WEEKS to do that and they DIDN'T do anything about the huge scratch that they caused. We know they did it because my husband takes photos of the outside of the truck, the tires, the inside and the speedometer EVERY time he takes it in. That is horrible... They need to all be fired, especially the service manager and director because they are worthless. I feel bad for the mechanics because if they don't care about customers I am sure that they don't care about the employees either. The people they have working in that place (advisors, managers and director of the service repair department) don't care to answer the phone, return calls, respond to anything whatsoever. We thought that MAYBE they would be a little better here in Cheyenne than they are in Colorado but they are much, much worse and the issue stands that you HAVE to use them or drive all over the place far out of your way to get your FORD serviced. Spradley Barr is disgraceful except for the nice guys in the Quicklane. Maybe whoever is in the Quicklane (service advisors) need to be running all of the service department. Fire all the managers and start fresh Spradley before everyone wises up. read more

I was returning to Colorado from a hunting trip in Wyoming when my F250 started giving me trouble. We limped into Spradley Barr in the late afternoon and asked for immediate attention given we were somewhat stranded with my 5th wheel along the highway 40 miles away. They were very busy but got right to diagnosing the issue. Don the master mechanic was extremely knowledgeable about my make and model and was able to pinpoint the issue quickly. Even though we came in late I was on the road by noon the next day with a properly repaired truck. I can't thank Curtis, Don and Zach enough for the customer care and service they extended me. I just want to make sure that everyone is aware that purchasing an extended warranty though this company is a joke. Buying a certified used car is also a joke. They will find any way possible to not fix problems that should have been caught in a 100 point inspection even blaming the customer for doing something that they never did. I know there are situations where people lie to get there way but for the ones that are truthful you still get treated like you are a liar. I get told I have to wait for my warranty to kick in after the 90 days to get the car looked at but then when you do this they tell me I waited to long for them to fix a problem that was noticed a couple days after purchasing. Just had a great experience-- stopped in on a cross country road trip for an oil change. The Ford QuickLane was full, but the tech sent us over to the Toyota service dept. and informed us they use the same oil, etc... Our vehicle was serviced quickly and professionally. I wish there was an option for 0 stars. Here's a rant for anybody considering buying a car from Spradley Barr Motors in Cheyenne or even taking their car there to get serviced. My car has been out of commission for over a month and a half DUE TO MANUFACTURE defects/recalls/issues and i called every single day from the first day it was broken up until 3 weeks of having no car and was told by Spradley Barr that there was nothing they could do for me, they could NOT offer a rental although my car was completely out of commission due to NO fault of my own, and that they refused to come pick the car up to take it to the shop. Eventually I ended up having to have MY INSURANCE tow the vehicle to Spradley Barr of Cheyenne and made it very clear that due to the manufacture defects and all the issues the car has given me from the start that I will not be paying a penny for ANY repairs done to it. I was assured that that was what was going to happen and I also informed them of ALL the issues in the vehicle. They called me over two weeks later from when my car went there after IGNORING/REFUSING to respond to the countless calls and voicemails left by myself and my mother. I was then informed that the extended "warranty" from ford covered all of the defects in my car and that they were waiting for parts to repair them. Once repaired I was given a call saying that my vehicle was ready for pickup but that I needed to pay $200. That was not what ANYBODY had agreed on and I had made it very clear from before the car even went there I would not be paying another penny for this defective vehicle. They told me that I had to come get my car and I HAD to pay. I informed them that the vehicle will be staying there until the claim settlement for repurchase/replacement has gone through and they will not be receiving any money from me. Today my mother felt OBLIGATED to go get the vehicle for me although I hadn't heard anything yet from the claims resolution department. Upon arrival and AFTER paying the $200 that Spradley Barr had been informed we would NOT be paying for since before the car went there, my mom got in the car and only ONE of the issues had been repaired!!!!!! I was assured on the phone that every issue I had brought to their attention was fixed! After realizing what had gone wrong the SECOND my mom got in the vehicle to attempt to bring it home She went back inside of Spradley Barr and informed them that the car was not repaired properly and an array of issues were still persistent. They REFUSED a refund, and we have spoken to every manager in the building only to be told that they can not do a THING for us and that they "NEVER" said that all the issues on the car were fixed. I personally have never in my entire life had to deal with such a corrupt backwards organization where even the highest levels of management speak VERY unprofessionally and rude to their customers and are able to offer NO resolution to each and every single one of these issues that was absolutely in no fault of my own!! Just in case any of you have been considering taking a look at a vehicle there or having your vehicle serviced there I would strongly advise against it. Zero stars isn't an option. I honestly don't have any idea how this place got two positive reviews. Our pickup started leaking transmission fluid and we were stranded. The fluid is specific to this pickup so we really needed a Ford service department to give us a hand. All we wanted was to pay for a case of transmission fluid and have them drive it out so we could drive it back to Spradley shop to be worked on. After getting the run around from them for what felt like forever, they as good as told us to shove it. Thank goodness for good Samaritans or we'd have been walking quite a few miles. In a nutshell, the service department at this place is totally incompetent and does not provide the services they are supposed to. I've had the displeasure of dealing with Spradley Ford on three different occasions over the past year. All three of my encounters with them were in a service and not a sales capacity. The first time, I scheduled an appointment online with them, received a confirmation e-mail but when I showed up on time to my appointment, they looked at me like I was from Mars and said they didn't do scheduled appointments for maintenance. When I showed them my confirmation e-mail they rolled their eyes and said "I guess we can squeeze you in." Yeah, like it's totally my fault that you don't know your own business. The second time, again for maintenance later that year, and pretty much the exact same scenario happens. The most recent time I've done business with them I tried to call them to schedule an appointment for maintenance because again according to their website, you can do that. I called once, called again later that day and left a voice mail. 2 days later I had not received a call back. So I went online to schedule an appointment (which I didn't want to do since they seemed to have a hard time with it the previous times). They had changed their interface and scheduling screen on the webpage and at the end of it it says "an associate will contact you within 24 hrs to set up your appointment." 2 days later, and I still hadn't heard anything. At this point I would have just said screw it, but I have a Ford Premium Maintenance package where I basically get free maintenance at Ford services centers because I paid for this package up front when I purchased the vehicle. I call one more time and FINALLY reach a person who goes, "oh, you don't need an appointment for maintenance, just bring it by." At this point I give up on the appointment, drop off my car before I go into work and take their shuttle to my office. I would give them a star for their shuttle service, but everything else they've done is so horribly unprofessional they honestly don't deserve it in the long run. Anyway, so I return to get my car at the end of the day and they hand me a bill. I'm like "wait a minute, when I dropped this off I stated that this is under a Ford Premium Maintenance plan that comes with XYZ. They look at me like I'm from Mars and go "Oh....uh.....ok let's see what we can do." Finally they don't charge me for something I wasn't supposed to charged for. But that being said, I'm 90% certain they didn't perform the services detailed in that maintenance plan because the wheels are still squeaky even though the car was just serviced. Also, their car wash was down so no clean car for me this time. So my choice is either pay nothing and deal with people that don't know what they're doing and don't provide what you need or pay something and hope that someplace else is better. I honestly think I'll just drive 45 minutes out of my way to go to another Ford service center. read more

I took my pickup in for a recall inspection. When I started out, I noticed a single running light out. When I took it to the service department I asked if they'd take a look at the light. They told me their policy was a minimum charge of $195 for electrical work. $195 to replace a running light? Forget that. Great sales staff. Terrible service. read more

While searching for the perfect car online, I inquired about a GMC Envoy. Receptionist Jennifer called and said they'd be happy to set up a test drive for me. Test drive, day 1: Arrived on time only to find out they "forgot" to bring the Envoy down from Greeley, and tried to sell me a silly Jeep instead. I left upset. Days later, Jennifer followed up, didn't know what a disaster the visit was. I told her, she apologized and I agreed to give them another chance, setting up another test drive for the following Friday (yesterday). Again, I arrived on time. My name on the whiteboard said I was to be helped by "Ervin", but I'm told "Ervin" was off. They searched high and low for the Envoy.... and 15 minutes later said they'd brought down a RAV4, not the Envoy. By this time, I was livid, and left after telling them what I thought of their customer service. They'd better not even try to call me again. I'll get my Envoy, but I wouldn't buy from these incompetent, time-wasting liars if they had the last car on Earth. read more

First dealership I've ever been to where I stood outside for over ten minutes looking at a vehicle and no one came out to assist. I eventually had to walk inside and ask for a salesman. Worst customer service in the country. My family was on a trip from Illinois to southwest Montana and had car trouble just outside of Cheyenne. They made it to this excuse for a Ford service department. A technician hooked up a scanner and read the codes. And then they said there was nothing else they could do for at least 2 weeks. Seriously? My 55 year old brother-in-law, his elderly mother carrying an oxygen tank so she can breathe and her 2 great-grandchildren need your help and you refuse them? Fortunately, The Advance Auto parts store there had the $40 sensor the truck needed and my brother-in-law was able to replace it in their parking lot. The guys at Advance Auto even offered to change it for him! I was so infuriated that I e-mailed the owner of the dealership to let him know how lousy his service department was and that they should be ashamed of what they did. I took my Mustang into Spradley Barr Ford for a repair and a 50/60 K service. When I picked the car up, I was told they had taken the bumper off to clean transmission fluid out and replace the transmission cooling lines. Later I noticed there was a gap between the bumper and the headlight lens that I could get my ring and middle finger in past the first joint. Also, part of the cowling was hanging under the car. I had just worked on the cowling two weeks before this. I took the car back to have the bumper properly installed and after a half hour, they told me they never took the bumper off in the first place. They also denied doing anything with the cowling. But when lying to me about the bumper they said that the mechanic could reach the tranny lines through that section of cowling. (Yeah, the section hanging down). But he never did anything with the cowling when I asked if they were going to repair it. Funny how they will lie and not even realize they are going to tell another lie in less than two minutes to keep from having to do anything that is going to cost them money. The few repairs they did: replace cabin filter, changed plugs and boot, replace one light bulb, transmission gasket and cooling lines, totaled almost $2000,00. They did give me a military discount but still over $1700.00. I also needed a headlight replaced. When I picked the car up, I was told the headlight cost about $498.00. Today I was told the headlight cost about $998.00. Plus the cost of removing the bumper to install it. Really? Maybe he can do it through the section of cowling that is still hanging down. I'll take my Ford Mustang to a Chevy dealer for maintenance before I take it back to Spradley Barr. read more

Poor service on a recall notice. I brought my Ford F-150 in to replace the engine block heater electric cord. Sounds simple to replace just follow the same OEM route from the front bumper along the inside frame and just plug into the heater plug. Snapping in all the clips to secure the electric cord right. Wong the so called technician just pushed the whole electric cord through the front grill coming out the left front wheel area, then back through the inside engine area and just hid the end that was suppose to plug into the heater plug. No even plugged in useless. I brought this to the attention of the service desk. He said he would correct it. So I took back the next morning. Same thing! Now I have to crawl under my truck and do it my self to correctly install the right OEM route. They kept my truck the whole day from 08:00 am to 16:30 pm ( 4:30 ). And the second day from 08:00 am to 09:45 am. Not good service at all. read more

I have had many dealings with this dealerships service center, they have always been nice but they have issue with getting parts in or they have to repeat service on same issue before getting it properly repaired. There is a new guy working over in the service department, he is rude and condescending to customers. I will not deal with him again, if I have to i will take my business to Ft. I went in looking to update my work pickup and the saleswoman was very nice and helpful, but the General Manager (Mike Ervin) was very rude. The pickup I was looking at, 2015 4x4 f250, was way overpriced, and my trade-in, 1999 4x4 f350, was under priced. I asked for their best price and Mike went inside took fifteen minutes and came out with the same paper nothing changed. Then told me how other other older pickups he has sold don't sell very well. He was talking about the 6.0L and mine has the 7.3L. Anyone who knows anything about Ford pickups knows the 6.0L is the worst engine Ford came out with and the 7.3L is probably the best. read more

I debated writing, but I've been getting calls daily, so I'm a little annoyed. I I built a Highlander on the Toyota website. Those specs were then sent to Spradley for a quote. I realize that they may not have that exact vehicle. But that's the EXACT one I want. But it's really irritating when I don't get an email with a quote back. If you don't have it- fine- GOOD customer service includes "but I will get it for you" and include a price. I did an online quote because I work and don't have time to go test drive something I don't intend to buy. I also don't know why I got a call asking for more information. My request for a quote had all they need to know until I'm ready to come in and essentially purchase the exact car I want. Instead, I got hounded by several calls asking me to come in and look at what they have. Do you have what I want? No- I'm assuming not- because otherwise I think you would have included a quote with a vin number (Which is what everyone else did). Don't try to "fit me in" what you've got. I don't want anything but what I asked for. I can look through dealership listings on my own, I don't need an email facilitating it. This is the exact thing that lost Spradley the sale in 2008 and again yesterday in 2017. Several other Toyota dealerships DID send me the quote I asked for. I chose one of those with the best deal and purchased it. I would have loved to keep my business in Wyoming, and I am more than happy with Spradley collision and paint department- but sales is very much lacking. I think that giving people what they WANT not what you happen to have on site- would vastly improve sales and people would be more willing to recommend Spradley to friends. Getting people what they want for the best price around- THAT is what gets sales. read more

I was having some serious engine problems with my 2008 Ford F-350. It took me several hours to travel from Kimball Nebraska to Cheyenne; a distance of 78 miles. When I was finally able to limp into the dealership I was informed by them it would be 3 weeks before they would even look at it. I explained that I was traveling to Idaho and really needed help. I got s shrug of the shoulders and a blank stare. No offer of help whatsoever. I finally limped down the road to Advance Auto Parts. They were very helpful and got me on the road. At the very least they were kind and respectful of my situation. Spread Barr acted as though they could care less. read more
