Mostly average food for above average prices. The atmosphere is nice, service is average. We live nearby Tre Belle, unfortunately there are mainly only chain restaurants nearby, so when my husband and I get tired of our favorite local spots (Bricco Pub, Winking Lizard, Gasoline Alley) we go back to Tre Bell- once in a while we are really happy with our meals but more often than not the food isn't worth the price tag. The red sangria and mussels are consistently good. Regardless of your culinary skills, you could make better margarita pizza, caprese salad, and chicken Milanese yourself. Spaghetti and mealballs are hit or miss, sometimes really good, other times the meatballs are overcooked/very dry. The New York Strip Steak special my husband ordered once was five thin slices of beef- very unexpected and disappointing. The chicken picatta is average. One last gripe is the "specials list," which does not change often. For at least the last two years the Bronzino fish has been presented to us every time we've gone, they should just put it on the regular menu since they seem to have it every day. In my opinion, less fancy independent Italian restuarants such as D'agnese in Akron or Dontino's in Cuyahoga Falls have better food. As for steaks (Tre Belle is a Ken Stewart restaurant, after all), if you don't mind the price tag, Flemmings is consistently good and Lannings is awesome. read more

Difficult to make a reservation, false advertise their hours. Even though they advertise that their kitchen is open until 10, the hostess refused to take my reservation at 9. She wouldn't even take one any later than 8. It seems like all they care about is getting out of work early, must not need the business. My family and I have been long time customers of Ken's restaurants. Our favorite and our most visited restaurant however has been TreBelle. The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is down right phenomenal and the food doesn't leave much to be desired. I will however say, we will not be a Ken Stewart's diner, ever, again. My family and I made our weekly trip to TreBelle and while we were having our amazing beverages, made by the beautiful Kim, we heard a little commotion and some whispering. Now, I'm not one to pass up on some good gossip, even if I don't know who the gossip is about. Restaurant gossip is always good gossip. So while my family and I leaned in to hear what was being discussed, we heard a few curse words, and actually saw a couple servers wiping tears away. Under any other circumstance I would have been appalled to hear this staff, whom we know most of by first name, talking like this while they're working. So I listened some more. And then I heard it. Sarah no longer works at TreBelle. SARAH?!?!?!?! This MUST be a joke. This MUST be an AWFUL prank someone is playing on mankind. Sarah - the BEST manager Ken has EVER had at TreBelle is no longer a Ken Stewart employee. Outrageous. My family and I were CRUSHED. For those of you who do not know who I am referring to, Sarah is (was) the manager at TreBelle. The heart of this place. She knew every customer by first name, knew what every customer drank, knew their family, and knew who to brighten the place up. Every employee LOVED her from what we could tell, EVERY customer loved her. We've heard stories of Sarah helping arrange a surprise birthday party, helping the kids make their own pizzas, seen her jump behind the bar to help the bartenders if they've fallen behind. And every time she's done it with a smile. Back to my evening...I pulled a couple servers over to confirm that Sarah was no longer an employee, and they gave me the bad news. The atmosphere that night was depressing. Every employee attempted to smile, but just couldn't get it together. I don't know how this restaurant will pick itself back up. I came in again this week for a business dinner with a couple coworkers. And again -2nd time this week - the atmosphere was stiff and uninviting. Employees weren't smiling and enjoying their day at work. And honestly we didn't enjoy ourselves either. I'm sorry to say that my family along with quiet a few others who are frequent TreBelle customers will not be back. My husband and I ate here for the first time during the summer and were wowed by the artichoke wood-fired pizza. Although we live over a half hour away, we had a craving last night and drove to Bath for an artichoke pizza. When our excellent server described the soup of the day, cauliflower and smoked Gouda, we were able to snag the last one and shared it while waiting for the pizza. OMG. It alone would have been worth the trip. Needless to say, we had an excellent meal and plan to go back many times! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of five is the restaurant's awkward layout. We sat in the back, lower level--whatever it's called (Social Room?), and getting there involves several steps down. Not a problem for us, but then to go to the restrooms, you have to go back upstairs and then down again. Not ideal, especially for older patrons. And finding the front door is an adventure! Still, the food and excellent service will keep us coming back. read more

I was less than impressed! I am normally a huge fan of Ken Stewarts! I have been celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions and work functions at the Lodge for over 10 years! So I was excited to finally go to Tre Bella for more than just a quick drink. My mom, daughter and I arrived right at 5 on a Thursday ready to enjoy a nice tasty meal. Our server was beyond unpleasant and attempted to rush us out of there before we even sat down. As soon as we were handed our menus we were asked what we wanted to eat. We politely ordered our drinks and said that we needed a moment to decide. When she returned we asked for any recommendations and specials. She listed off just one special and really didn't make any recommendations. So we ordered a pizza and the bay scallop pasta. The pizza was very good but the pasta was VERY firm, clumpy and the scallops a bit on the sandy side. As we just began to eat we were offered boxes. Wait a minute here, we just got our food and barely got to take a bite. At this point, it was very apparent to us that she was rushing us out! Especially after she listed off at least 3+ specials to the table behind us! Not that I am overly picky about bread but when she brought it, she only gave us 2 pieces while the table behind us got an over flowing bread basket at the same time...weird! Being in the restaurant business before and being a server, you ALWAYS offer another cocktail and desert, neither of which were offered and when I had to ask about a desert to go she muttered off a few while walking away from me! How RUDE! When she returned to the table behind us, she pleasantly stood there and ran down a list of deserts and even gave descriptions! I was very upset by this as Ken normally has a pretty decent wait staff. My only thought on why she was so pushy is because we did have my daughter with us (4months), but she slept most of the time and when she did wake up she didn't even cry or fuss. To our knowledge we weren't disruptive to others as the 2 other tables in the back room were cooing and awwing over her and saying how pleasant she was. I get that it is a higher end restaurant and believe me if my daughter even started to fuss in the tiniest I would of walked outside to not disrupt others, I am very big on that! So I don't really see why the waitress was just so rude and unpleasant! With or without my child, I really don't think I will be going back for a while as I refuse to pay that much money to have horrible and rude service! Very disappointing! read more

We stopped in at Tre Belle on a Tuesday evening after intending to for several years, and I don't know why we waited so long. The decor is homey and warmly Tuscan, yet modern and clean. The food is wonderful, innovative Italian with great service. Although we didn't try it this time, the antipasto bar looked like a lot of fun and definitely worth a try. Server Dave was perfectly punctual and the rhythm of our dining experience was spot on from drinks to dessert...no waits, nothing too early. We thoroughly enjoyed the beet and goat cheese salad and the handmade pizza topped with pancetta, Kalamata olives, goat cheese, artichoke hearts and roasted red peppers. It was rich and wonderful...and the crust was thin, light and airy. Really spectacular pizza. Dessert was zeppoli with Apple topping and very fresh whipped cream. Rich, dense and sweet, these were a great end to the meal. In all, a really great experience. The pricing was fair, expect to pay more than you would at a theme restaurant and know that it is totally worth it. read more

We go here a lot as a family. Sometimes it is great and other times really just blah. Food is hit or miss and service is too. I feel as if all the female staff is amazing but the couple times we have had male servers I question why the place would hire introverts who aren't proactive. Recommend pizzas and fish. Love the Italian nachos. However cheese bowl pasta is too cheesy and the meats can be over or undercooked. Think it's unique to area though. read more

This was a very mixed experience and I kind of struggle with that 3 star rating as it could have easily been a 2 or a 4 depending on what your priorities are. First off they were SLOW! We had a 6:00 reservation and did not leave the restaurant till 8:40 and we were about the only people there. Appetizers were all very good. The calamari was perhaps the best I've ever had! For dinner I had the branzini (salt crusted bass) which was one of the specials. It was offered as either a filet or the whole fish, I opted for the filet. That is where things went south. The flavor was amazing, however the 45 plus minute wait time with basically no attention from the wait staff (they didn't even ask if we wanted another bottle of wine), coupled with the bones in every bite was too much. I would have been ok with a couple of bones but ever bite, one bite having 5 bones, someone in the kitchen messed up. I will say the server and management handled this superbly. They apologized profusely, offered me something else and comped my meal. Based on that alone I will give this place another chance. I will keep my fingers crossed that the kitchen is faster and the waitstaff more attentive. read more

Tre Belle is one of the best places to enjoy a beautiful dinner in the summer! The patio is beautiful, with flower boxes, a fountain, and a fire pit. There is even a bocci court outside, which I love, and can't seem to find a bocci court anywhere. The appetizer selection is perhaps a bit sort, but we had the mussels and they were just right. The prince Edward island mussels came in a spicy red sauce and with a few crostinis- and I swear I could've licked the bowl clean - the sauce was so nice. Just a bit messy. For entrees, I had the Chicken Piccata and my fiance had the Pork Marsala special. I really thought my dish was well cooked, the piccata sauce was creamy and well balanced and the portion of chicken was spot on. My fiance really enjoyed the pork chop- it was cooked very nicely - but didn't care too much for the polenta cake. The wine list featured a nice mix of domestic as well as Italian wines, but was a tad bit pricy. The only complaint I have was the dessert selection was minimal. The tirimisu was good- but I would like to see a chocolate cake. Overall, a very pleasant experience. We were greeted at the door with a smile, and thanked for coming in when we left. Our server was a very polite, knowledgable guy and made sure we got everything in a timely fashion. We willo be back soon - especially during happy hour for some half price pizza! read more

What a waste! Walked in, requested patio seat, told limited seating due to multiple 4 person reservations. Got a table for 2, not bad, ordered food right away, 2 specials. watched 3 4-top tables get seated with only 2 people after us. Told they all had reservations for 4?!! Still, no big deal, but all those tables, which were seated 30 minutes later had food before us?! Inquired, told food was coming, no food, we complained then walked out after sitting for an hour. We love most entree's but every time we order for pick up they forget the KEY ingredient in our salads or apps. We ordered a beet salad and they forgot the beets. We have ordered calamari and they forgot items in there as well as many items in the chop salad. We have made many attempts to assure our food would be plated properly, but they never fail to forget something. We love the food but cannot order from them again. read more

We just got take out at this restaurant and it was a very poor experience. Whenever we have,it is not ready when they say. Rarely a complete order, and this time,we had to check, and if we didn't 25% of our meal would not have been there when we got home. The worst, and in my opinion the most egregious, is we asked that there be NO walnuts on the Dessert pizza, as our friend's daughter is highly allergic to them. We looked and it had walnuts on it. We showed the manager, as well as the person making pizzas,and he said "no, those are the nuts in the Nutella." I said to look at what's on top of the bananas and he said I was right,it has walnuts. We were in Akron a few weeks ago staying at the Doubletree and asked the front desk where to go for the best Italian food. Her recommendation was right on the mark. We had a magnificent dinner at Tre Belle. The Chicken Parm was the best I think I have ever had. My wife had the special pasta with lobster, fantastic! The service and friendly atmosphere by everyone both in the restaurant and bar was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant, we will certainly be back when we are in town. We may actually just travel up to Akron with the sole purpose of having dinner here. Keep up the good work!! read more

The food was great, the service not so. A Wednesday night, it was not busy and drinks and apps took forever. Our server was nice but yakking to his fellow servers. Left a 20 percent tip and regretted it. When I mentioned the slow service to the hostess, she said "they were busy." This is not the correct response when they were not busy and the prices are what they are. Expected better. Disappointed. Only takes one person to tell ten. read more

I dined at Tre Belle last weekend and was extremely displeased with the TINY portion size of the scallop and ravioli "special". The only special thing about it was that it was shockingly small - I'm not a person who enjoys monster portions, but I do like to feel full after dinner. For $26, I expected more than three small scallops and three ravioli. When our meals came out, my dining companions exclaimed "is that all you get?!". Their portions were enormous. They offered to share with me and, when I declined, ordered more bread so that I wouldn't be hungry. How awkward. Not wanting to spoil our meal, I decided not to raise the issue at dinner but instead wrote to the restaurant a very nice email the next day to let them know, but as I haven't yet heard back, I can only assume they aren't interested in repeat business from me at this or any of the other Ken Stewart establishments. went for first time with large group for anniversary party 10 adults and 2 children. 6:00 pm reservations.we didn't leave till 10:00+ pm 4 hours to get apps,salads,entree's and desert all while watching people come and go . as previous revues state calamari was very good ,salads were good,everything took along time to come out .seemed like they were under staffed or improperly managed .the lobster mac and cheese which i added shrimp to was good the lobster pizza was very greasy and was missing elements maybe asiago or basil might have made it better .other pizzas we got were ok margarita ect took for ever to get bread we was there 1.5 hours before bringing out mediocre bread then had to ask for more because it seemed like eternity for entree's to come out my expectations are high because ken stewart's name on the place.then deserts the menu is mediocre at best the gelato was good kind of hard to screw that up the blood orange flavor a lil tart .the tiramisu was good the chocolate mousse was awesome but 2 of us got the fried donut dish was disgusting undercooked dough floating in caramel soup with home made whip cream floating in the soup.not a great first impression . read more

I have been to all the ken Stewarts locations and frequent them often as the food is delicious and atmosphere is usually very nice. However our dinner tonight took 3 hours and 48 minutes from the time we sat until we finally received our bill. My 7 year old daughters dinner didn't arrive until the all others in my party were finished eating and plates were cleared ( they still billed me for her meal). When we finally received our bill they had added 20% without asking including my daughters meal. I was told this was customary. I find it unusual that the gratuity be added to bottles of wine. I am not complaining about the dollar amount as I usually tip well beyond the 20 percent but I was not given the option. I had to ask 2 servers, the host, and a manager to get a bill 40 minutes after finishing dinner. I entertain many clients at these establishments to the tune of about 20k per year but will not patronize them any further as we never got an apology even as mr Stewart himself sat at the bar almost the entire evening. I think their arrogance finally got the best of them. read more

the atmosphere is fabulous. it makes you feel like you're far, far away. the servers dont speak italian ( i heard they did and was looking forward to it). we ate pizza because i read somewhere it was their specialty and it was excellent. we also tried roasted veggies, calamari & meats from the antipasta bar which is displayed when you walk in. brilliant idea, after seeing it you want to try everything! however, they looked better than they tasted. a few of us had tiramisu (gigantic) and canoli and were dissapointed in the lack of flavor. i feel that the food is pretty authentic italian because it is similar to the way we eat at home. we are itallian and sicilian and this is close to the way our parents cook as well. we felt it was definately overpriced though. overall, i'd say good but not great. we always wished for a REAL italian restaurant and i'd say this is as close as we'll get. i would try it again & go for the pasta. read more
