(Not even one star is deserved here, although I couldn't post without selecting at least one. No service was given because I couldn't even get past my original telephone inquiry that was answered by a young woman "scheduler" who answers their phones.) I was referred to Kendall Plumbing by a reputable firm with regard to a serious plumbing issue that I'm trying to correct. The scheduler originally answered the phone, and the call turned completely into a communication nightmare when Katy took it upon herself to communicate what she thought I needed to the plumbers. The scheduler didn't "get it" when I tried to explain that I needed to talk to an actual plumber and not to someone who answers the phones and sets appointments. The office manager finally got on the line and, instead of assisting me and answering a question that I tried repeatedly to pose, the manager kept saying my name over and over and over as she defended this person. I vehemently expressed the manager's need to "reign-in" this kind of response to my call for a plumber. So, an otherwise profitable experience for both the plumber and for my family as homeowners, is lost -- all because the person who answered the phone could not listen and relay a message. My hope surrounded the installation of various kinds of plumbing in our garage, the possible installation of a new water softener, considerable work including the toilet and shower in our guest bath, and maintenance in other parts of the house. Someone else will get my business now. Further, as a consumer advocate and writer, I will never again relay any information whatsoever to any person other than the professional(s) who I'm trying to reach, and I'll encourage other consumers to reject this kind of interaction with customers. This is a follow up of a recommendation posted yesterday. It is always an experience when you do business with someone new. Especially when it comes to your home. Over the years, we have experienced some very expensive lesson with companies, who we thought were reputable. After a solid recommendation from a trusted fiends with service provider, Schiller Heating and Cooling, we called Kendall Plumbing and Rooter. Our water heater had failed and we were desperate.. Kendall came out within a couple of hours. Rather than taking advantage. Of a couple of old folks, he determined that we did not need a new water heater. He replaced some parts, flush the unit and saved us several hundred dollars. Honesty and quality of work are important. But, he was also very courteous and friendly. This company met and exceeded my expectations! I had a leak under my sink and they responded within hours. It turned out my garbage disposal needed to be replaced. The service man had it replaced within 15 minutes. Then he kindly pulled out my refrigerator to check if I could have an ice maker installed. I mentioned I had a water softener system and was not sure how to maintain it, as I'm renting this property. My experience with Kendall Plumbing was far from excellent. I called and made an appointment to have a water heater flushed. A couple of days later I realized that I had another plumbing problem, so I called back. They made an appointment for me. Unfortunately, they failed to record flushing the hot water heater. I called again and scheduled another appointment. I was given another appointment. I was not given an explanation that the appointment time was anytime within an hour. Given that Kendall Plumbing is located less than a mile for me, I have to think that it shouldn't take an hour to get here. The reality is that it took an hour and 7 minutes to get here. I will not be recommending them to anyone. They were in my home for less than minutes and charged me The only reason they are getting two stars is that they did the work and did it correctly. I suspect I paid for two trip charges. Who knows? Both of the workers were very nice. Would I recommend Kendall to a neighbor or friend? Never!!! read more

We were diagnosed as having roots in our main line by another company - a pretty devastating find only made worse by an initial assessment of $10,000! As renters we have no say regarding companies Property Management sends for repairs called-in, (kudos to them for having Kendall Plumbing on their vendor list); but we can certainly refer this company to our network of friends & neighbors, without hesitation. Twice within the last 6 months we have needed plumbing repairs, first, an underground water leak and this week a leaking water heater that was replaced. In both instances Kendall Plumbing was dispatched and jobs completed the same day, efficiently & timely. I neglected to write a review for the first visit and don't recall the technician's name (shame on me), but "thumbs up" and 5 stars for him and company as well. As for the water heater, Kendall Plumbing responded the same day after notification from Property Management. Technician Chris is a definite asset to your company, knowledgeable, personable, maintaining his professionalism throughout, always with a smile. It was evident he is highly skilled in his trade. Kendall was recommended to me by my regular plumber, Hacienda Plumbing Inc in Gilbert. I called Kendall Plumbing and Rooter about my clogged drain at 4pm in the afternoon. They were there by 6pm, cleared the drain and charged me a very reasonable price. Scott was the technician and he was professional, thorough and wore a well fitted cloth mask the entire time. I called Kendall because I thought I had some kind of water line leak in my kitchen. He pulled out the fridge, took the small panel at the bottom off and let us know that it was the fridge that was leaking and not a plumbing issue at all (good news)! That took about 5 to 10 minutes. I then asked him if he could see why one of the toilets was periodically running water. He said I needed a new flapper in the tank and replaced it (another 10 min job). Nice enough guy, but he charged $100 just to replace a flapper inside the tank of my toilet, pull out the fridge, take the little back panel off and tell us the fridge was leaking. Again, he was very nice and I wish I could say I will call him again but not at those rates. He was at my home 30 min, or less. Just imagine the cost if I had a real plumbing problem! read more

Kendall Plumbing SAVED US! After having 4 other plumbers come out to our small business, Kendall Plumbing and Rooter were the only ones who actually did something (not kidding)! Kendall was professional, on time and diligent to find the problem (that the other plumbers didn't take the time/effort to find). We are a small business and have two toilets on the premise and BOTH were clogging (sporadically) and eventually overflowing, leaving an office with 20 employees without the use of the facilities. Other plumbing companies attempted, but in the end they left without doing anything to help (some told us "there was nothing wrong", others said they didn't have the necessary equipment, one said that they had been sued and could no longer snake from the toilets (what?!!), yet another just seemed to want to get home for dinner. Kendall came in with a heavy duty snake and then took a camera to our system to try and see what else could be causing the issue(s). Great service! We just bought a new commercial property that hasn't been touched in 60 years and all plumbing had been self done, so it was a mess. We had a little mishap over the weekend that sent things floating and had no clue what to do. On Monday morning I called and they were out within a few hours. He spoke in length with me about all the issues we had and explained how each thing worked and why it would fail. Plus he pointed out small things I needed to keep an eye on. We had a a clogged line in our home in the basement and Kendall was referred by someone we know. We were extremely pleased. The previous plumbing company we had out wasn't able to clear the line and had suggested very expensive and extensive work which would have cost us over $8K. Kendall said he'd be happy to quote for what we were told we needed but asked if we would be willing to let him try and clear the line first . We agreed and low and behold he was able to clear the line. He could have definitely tried to make a lot of money by quoting what the other plumbing company suggested but did not. I would highly recommend Kendall as well as use him again. I felt the price we paid was fair when you to have consider someone's time for driving and then doing the job. read more

I love this Company, every time I call I get some one on the phone within the first two rings and I have some one on site within a hour tops! they have great pricing and their techs do great work. Ive never had any complaints and they always clean up after finishing the job which is a plus for me. some companies will come out do the labor and leave with a huge mess behind. I had a really bad leak yesterday in one of my units and the tech that came out had to cut dry wall to find the leak the cut was nice and clean and my maintenance man was able to use the same piece of drywall with a lil touch up.
