I have never been so disappointed in dental care as I was last August. I was told I needed a root canal and crown by Dr Hill, I was in the chair for FIVE hours and no root canal, only a crown. My throat was numb, I could not swallow, and they kept pouring more fluids down my throat! And stood there making jokes about it. I was unable to swallow for three days. When I called the office to complain, I got no satisfaction or concerns from the on call person. Then they charged me $9,997.00! I will never go back, nor refer anyone to Dr Hill, nor pay this bill. Dr. Kenneth Hill is exceptional! For the past few years my husband and I had to travel back and forth to California for our dental care because we couldn't find a practice that we were comfortable with here in Henderson. When I visit I see Dr. Kim, first time was because of a crown that had come off from my prior dentist who had retired. A friend referred me and Dr. Kim did a great job of putting it back, in fact it 'fit' my bite better that originally. I have extreme dental anxiety. The thought of visiting a dentist is nerve-wracking. I've seen many dentists over the past 50 years. I had one favorite before he retired. I was referred to Dr. Hill by him. I've been seeing Dr. Hill for almost 15 years now. Dr. Hill has a great staff and takes the time to make sure the right people are in place in order to provide assurance, comfort, and expertise. I've had many dental problems over the years so it's essential to me my dentist has knowledge beyond the everyday dentist. Dr. Hill is like a one-stop-shop. He's someone who can take care of the most demanding and difficult situations without the necessity of seeing multiple specialists. I'd like to provide a quick example. Dr. Hill was out-of-office one time. I had horrible tooth pain. I went to another dentist who recommended extraction of my tooth. I waited until Dr. Hill was back, he asked me if I had a cold or sinus problem - it turned out I did and he explained why my tooth was hurting. Thank goodness for his depth of knowledge and skill. I won't see anyone else. If it were an option, more than a 5-star rating. read more

Had to make an appointment 6 months in advance for a check up, then developed pain in both my morals making eating anything excruciating, and I couldn't be seen for it for over a week. Fine regular dentist, do not let him talk you into doing your implant. When I needed a tooth removed and replaced, Dr. Hill talked me into letting him do the implant even though I usually went to the Oral Surgeon for my prior implants. This was a huge mistake. The implant never seemed to heal properly -- my gum never covered the inner portion of the tooth. Dr. Hill said it was fine. Then the gum above the tooth began hurting so I went back and saw Dr. Kim who said it was all due to a hole in the crown and wanted me to schedule to fill it. I thought that sounded dodgy so I got a second opinion elsewhere and he agreed that shouldn't be a huge problem and told me to go to the oral surgeon. So, I went back to the oral surgeon and it turns out the implant was not done properly. He can tell nothing ever healed, and since that visit I can actually tell the tooth moves back and forth. Now I am stuck having to get the implant removed, the implant space rebuilt and go 6 months without an implant while it heals. Oh, and since it needs rebuilding to ensure the new implant space doesn't enter my sinus cavity it's going to cost me $7000, in addition to the $4000 I initially paid Dr. Hill. Take my advice and save yourself grief and money, don't let Dr. Hill talk you into doing an implant. read more

I've never felt inspired to leave a review for a dental practice before, but after my last couple of appointments at this dentistry I feel compelled to share my experience. In short, this has been the best dentistry experience for me. I've had a check up, cleaning, and some fillings replaced, and each time I've been struck with how wonderful the front office, hygienists, dental assistants, and Dr. Kim has been. My dental needs were attended to with such kindness and care - I cannot stress enough, this practice clearly prioritizes patient care, and it makes for a very positive experience. Wow, everybody is so nice in this dentist office!! Yelp reviews brought me here because I became skeptical about my previous dentist after he charged me almost $1K for dental cleaning and ignored my cavity. So happy I switched my dentist office!! Thanks to Yelpers as always ;-) Dr. Hill was very nice and calm. He spotted my cavity where my previous dentist missed or ignored. He has so up to date advanced machines in his office. From the X-ray machine to the computer systems, everything they have is so advanced. Technology!! He even has his own lab to make dental pieces on site. Amazing. The girl took my X-ray was very kind and careful. The girl scheduled my next appointments (Marion!) was super sweet!! She gave me this welcome packet which includes a cup, a pen, a chapstick, a candy and a calendar. On top of that, today's visit was only $100. I don't think anyone was nicer than Dr. Hill and his team in any dentist/doctor's office I've visited in last 8 years of living in the US. I hate going to dentist but this dentist office makes it a little easier. Hopefully his dental hygienist is also nice... (got a cleaning appointment next month. Nervous!) I see Dr. Kim. He is a pain free dentist. He is a caring, save the tooth if at all possible dentist. He gives you options, if you want his recommendation he will give it but the decision is up to you. He has a great sense of humor. All of the staff are friendly, caring and sensitive to your needs, fears and make you feel as comfortable as you can be. Great office. You feel relaxed from when you walk in through the cleaning and seeing the dentist. They have the latest technology and are up to date on the newest and most advanced procedures. I've been super scared to go see a dentist for a few years now, but my Fiancée really pushed me to go see Dr. Hill for a check up. I finally agreed and schedule for the soonest appointment for a check up and general teeth cleaning. I am so happy that I listened because Dr. Hill and his staff were SO NICE! I got along with them very well and they were VERY UNDERSTANDING of my needs and concerns. Dr. Hill has the latest HIGH-TECH equipment in his office and it can take 3D images of your teeth and head. They can diagnose your situation BETTER than standard offices. Overall the check up went very well and my teeth cleaning was done by Robin and she is so GENTLE and SWEET. Robin will do the BEST job in getting rid of any plaque and tartar buildup. After my visit, I was recommended to have my yellowish teeth whitened and I've been considering it for such a long time! After a scheduling for a teeth whitening appointment for the next week, Leah and Melinda took me back to 3D scan my teeth for my future bleach trays. Their teeth whitening service is very labor intensive and they are constantly making sure that I do not experience unnecessary pain. After 2 hours my teeth became 6 shades WHITER! I couldn't believe HOW MUCH of a difference it makes to now have white teeth. I feel SO HAPPY to smile and show off my PEARLY WHITES. However beauty is pain and you will probably feel random zings of sensitivity during the process. Definitely afterwards, the shocks and stings are very pronounced and are annoying. After 6-8 hours it goes away and doesn't carry over the next day. I will ABSOLUTELY be returning and will likely keep telling friends and family members to go to Dr. Kenneth Hill's dental office. read more

My wife and I recently moved to Henderson from Maryland. We were hesitant to look for a dentist after having horrible experiences looking for a primary care physician. My wife spent countless hours searching the web and reading reviews before we decided to give Dr. Hill a chance because of all the great reviews. Our dentist in Maryland was an awesome, down-to-earth guy who only cared about the well-being of his patients. He didn't try to sell you dental packages or procedures you didn't need. He would take the time to talk to you and recommend things but wasn't pushy. He would work with you to no end. Well, our dentist in Maryland must have had a twin when he was born because Dr. Hill is the exact same way. We couldn't be happier that we found him. His staff is awesome as well, Nicole took the time to explain everything and she made me feel welcomed and relaxed. We talked about life and things. Ruth was also sweet and welcoming. I had been recommended to see Dr. Hill from some friends of mine. It was quite a wait for a new patient appointment but it was SO WORTH IT! Here's the breakdown: 1. The office staff are the NICEST people ever. I called so many times regarding changing my appt, issues with my dental insurance, etc. Every time I called I was greeted so professionally and they always took their time with me. 2. This professionalism spreads throughout the office. The first visit is exam and X-rays and the X-ray technician could not have been more kind and patient. 3. Dr. Hill is personable, professional, and makes you feel as if you're his only patient in the office. In the meantime, I received an insurance statement with approx. $ 750 charges. This dental office asked $ 750 from my insurance, just for four extraoral films and evaluation. Long story short...GREAT EXPERIENCE! GOOD PRICES! GREAT PEOPLE! CONVENIENT HOURS! I broke my tooth completely off while eating with friends in Henderson. Panicked and started going down the yelp list of DDS in the area and found Dr.Hill's office still open at 6pm. Dr.Hill and his staff made me feel comfortable and very welcomed in their almost closed for the day office at a very stressful time for me. After X-rays and a newly cemented (back on )tooth I was out in 20 min. His rates are reasonable. I was recently laid off and cannot afford Health Insurance so I paid out of pocket. I'm going back to get a regular exam in July even though I live on the strip. I don't mind the drive. I Really appreciated the kindness and professional manner in which his office operated. Reasonably priced. Excellent bedside manner. Clean office. Ample parking. Easy to find location. Very grateful for such a blessed find! .... the last time I've ever been this excited to go back to the Dentist was in 3rd grade to miss a few hours of school. I've waited 28 years. read more

I think I may have finally found the one! I am always on the search for a new dentist. I can never find the right fit for me. Most places in Vegas I have visited line you up like an assembly line, rush you through and you see a different dentist every time. That is not what I'm looking for. I grew up going to one dentist my whole life. I was wanted a small practice to give me that feel again. Dr Hill's practice is not small but you get that same feeling. He has a large modern office with the latest dental technology which is pretty cool. His staff is excellent. Everyone is extremely friendly and I've never had a wait. So far I have been in for an exam and cleaning and was pleased with both. I will be back, which for me says a lot. Usually I am on the hunt for another dentist at this point. My only slight critique is that the assistants and hygienists make the normal small talk with you, which is fine but then when Dr Hill comes in they give him a rundown of everything you said. It felt like just a run of the mill appointment. My hygentist, Ali, was great! She talked and got to know me the whole time! It made me feel more at ease. I'm not a good communicator at all and hate going to the dentist. My last dentist asked how I felt about going and it gave me more of a chance to share my anxiety with them. After the cleaning I was switched over to another chair with a dental assistant. There she asked me questions like my job and where I'm from, etc.... She then relayed them to the Dr. and he didn't even ask them himself. It felt very in personal. He didn't even make an effort to get to know me himself. He then proceeded to lecture me on how I need my wisdom teeth out. I don't like being lectured at the dentist. I just didn't feel like a person but instead another number in his database. Being fairly new to the area, I randomly picked Dr. Hill's office and I am very glad I did. The office is new, clean, and modern. The entire staff are always nice and pleasant. I had Dr. Hill for my initial visit, and have been seeing Dr. Lee since then. Both doctors have been excellent. I can speak more on Dr. Lee, having had several procedures done by him. Dr. Lee has always been extremely nice and professional - he always explains exactly what he is going to do and is extremely caring. Scheduling dental procedures is extremely easy, as well. When I need to get in, there is usually very little wait time. The only drawback with this practice is that it can take some time to get in to schedule a cleaning. This is not a problem if you schedule all your cleanings at one time - that way you are booked in. However, to get in for the initial cleaning (or if you have to cancel and reschedule) the wait time can be pretty lengthy. That being said, the hygienists are as personable and professional as the doctors. I highly recommend this practice! read more

This is the new location. The old location used to be on Horizon Ridge around Arroyo Grande. The new location is a bit hidden within the business park but it's not too hard to find. Walk towards the stairs in the middle of the large building; the dentist is on the bottom floor on the southwest corner. Everyone here is really nice and friendly. They always call the day before the appointment to confirm. They also now send text messages. They have a 6pm appointment time a few days a week which is perfect for me. At 6pm I don't have to take any time off of work. The hygienists like to ask questions and then relay them to the doctor. It's a nice touch, but perhaps a bit creepy the first time you hear it. Me to hygienist while the doctor is not in the room: "Yeah, just got back from vacation in Europe...blah blah" A few minutes later with the doctor: "Hi Kevin, how was your European vacation?" I can't speak about costs too much. My insurance has pretty much covered everything I've needed. Not sure if it's my insurance repaying the dentist slowly or what, but occasionally the dentist sends me bills when actually I don't owe anything. I'm gonna assume it's mostly a problem with my insurance though. A quick phone call to the front desk at the dentist quickly clears everything up though. read more
