This review is based on service....Not the food...Came last night and my friend and I each ordered a steak dinner which comes with soup.....The two soups were hot and sour and sizzling rice.....My friend and I both wanted sizzling rice soup....Our waitress says, "We are out of sizzling rice soup"....I told her we don't like hot and sour soup so could we have either egg flower or won ton soup since those are also offered on their menu......SHE SAID NO and that I would have to buy a full order of soup to have either of those soups....Egg flower and won ton soups are on the menu so what is the big deal.....TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE......I guess she didn't want to deal with us so the owners son took care of us after this happened.....Sorry Kenny's Café....We won't be back read more

Best Chinese in Pacifica, IMO. The hot and sour soup is awesome (but I'd steer clear of the other soups and the salads). The lemon chicken is often really good, though inconsistent. The chow mein is usually pretty good. Only meat pot stickers are available, but they are hand made. My personal favorite dish is the eggplant in garlic sauce, which I usually order with a SMALL amount of tofu just to get a bit of protein. This place also serves some American food although I haven't ever ordered that. May is the owner of the joint, and she's a sweetheart. The Won-ton soup is so lovely as are the vegetable and seafood dishes. The other dishes such as orange chicken are typical. Chinese American fare. Stay away from the egg rolls though they are odd, big and filled with celery, not cabbage filled like I expected. Good service, big portions, plenty to take home. We ordered the family meal for 7 and were allowed to make liberal substitutions. The wait staff are great, very attentive, quick to whisk away used plates and bring new ones. The reviews on Yelp seem to be only so-so for this place. This is one of the few stand out places to eat in Pacifica. I've been going since they opened their doors and I have been happy ever since. I can safely say that I have had just about everything on the menu. The American food is Okay at best. The more traditional dishes is where Kenny's really shines. As has been noted the soups are all very good. My favorite things are the pot stickers. The perfect pot sticker is a symphony of the right thickness of dough, right spices and amount of meat. The thick dough and ginger/onion duo make this my favorite place to get pot stickers EVER. Other dishes I frequent are the salt and pepper prawns (the salty-onion-y goodness!), two sizzling meats, general's chicken, lemon chicken, beef with ginger and garlic, and Mongolian beef. The place is recently renovated, but is nothing fancy. I seldom eat in, but the times I have the service has been fine. A word to the wise-do the take out. it's ready in about 15 minutes. On certain nights you can't get in the place because it is so busy. It seems like every other Tues-wed-Thursday its packed one week, not so much the next. Because the place is so small they only have three waitresses-sometimes there can be lapses in the service. these three women also take care of all the take out orders too. And it is not unusual to see upwards of twenty orders on the counter in addition to all the people waiting for tables. This is a place to get some good hot grub. This place isn't nearly as good Raymond's. Service was slow, no water refills, had to take the bill to the front after waiting 15 mins. There are some dishes that are good and some that are not. I was pretty dissapointed in the fried rice, as that's a pretty simple dish to perfect. The Honey Garlic chicken was pretty decent as well as the pot stickers. Not bad considering it is in Pacifica, which has few excellent chinese restaurants. We come here for lunch fairly often and have tried the Beef Chow Fun, Chicken Jean Mein, Chicken Fried Rice and BBQ Pork Fried Rice. (yes, american food). Each time we've been ok with it. Prices are on the higher end, but still reasonable. Service is no-nonsense and fast enough for a quick lunch. Not a cozy place and located in what looks like a former Safeway store. The place was packed for a Saturday noon but maybe since it was cold.. a good place for a hot and tasty soup and their sweet and sour soup is probably one of the better soup I tasted. Their chicken with garlic sauce was also really good but their shrimp with almond was just so-so, a bit salty. Had my first experience here last week. The food was better than I thought and the prices were reasonable. The wonton soup i thought could have just been kept original with just broth, green onion and wontons- it was filled with vegetables and meat with little to no wontons. there is no better place to get chinese food. i don't eat chicken, but i will however eat a piece of the kenny's chicken-that the husband gets almost everytime...so that's saying a lot. service is quick and may is wonderful...we moved to arizona and it was at least a year since we had been in, she not only remembered who we were, she remembered we had a son and that i had been pregnant the last time i was in...they weren't even with us, who does that? may! i've never had a bad thing off the menu in the 6 years i lived in p-town, and the husband who is from there had been going since there was some sort of supermarket attatched. the salt and pepper pork chops are pretty rockin' if you're in the mood for some fried goodness. i love this place! read more

My wife and I have been a customer at Kenny's Cafe in Linda Mar we have eaten at Kenny's twice a month for last 10-12 years we always had a wonderful meal it was my wife's 74th birthday January 11th I asked her what she would like for her birthday I want chicken wings at Kenny's well we got there may the owner and her husband were not there the waitress was a little abrupt the wait was 10 minutes well we ordered the chicken wings there was so substandard my wife was just crushed as I spent all this time wishing I had these chicken wings and I finally get them they were terrible my husband makes them the same way so I'm I'll just stayed home and made his they weren't terrible just not as spicy as she would like the only good part of the whole meal was sweet and sour soup I believe the reason may and her husband come at night time and I think they're getting long in the tooth like we are and wants to retire so anyway don't let this stop you from eating it Kenny's it's still very good in a lot of respects but it may and her husband was there cooking it would be 110% okay read more

I am the type to swear by Rice And Roll, but I have tried a couple other chinese restraunts in the area and Kenny's has proven itself to be good at a few things. As far as apetizers go, their wings are tasty and crunchy. Sweet and sour chicken, my favorite dish is affordable and satisfying here. Their Chicken and broccoli dish is bland however. The hot and sour soup is not hot but is sour, so I'd reccomend sticking with the egg drop soup between the two. Egg rolls are gigantic but are mostly wrap, and seem overpowered by the taste of celery . Overall a mixed bag but the people are very nice, and the highlights actually are pretty good. read more
