Full team was in town and had breakfasts, lunches, and happy hours booked back to back for a few days. We had one night without anything booked for a lowkey evening. Ended up at Urban Kitchen after Top Golf happy hour golf and bites for something healthier . You order at the counter. It's not a huge place but they were able to accommodate our group of 9. Had the salmon miso bowl and we also ordered Brussels sprouts to share. It was fresh and hit the spot.

Wonderful experience overall! This grab-and-go restaurant offers fresh protein options and generous portion sizes. The salmon tasted freshly made to order, while the beef, although slightly cold, still tasted like high-quality meat. The vegetables accompanying the dishes were exceptionally fresh! The crisp crunch of the lettuce was especially surprising in the best way. I'M SAYING - how can lettuce taste this good? This meal felt clean, nourishing, and genuinely reinvigorating to eat. The variation of colors of the meal, made me have a big appetite. I loved every bite of it!

Jonathan and Juliana thank you for the hosting of a fabulous meal between my surgeries. With the harmony of the sidewalk and.the scent of your food makes magic all around.

I really wanted to give this a five star rating, I tried really hard, but I'm pushing it to give them a solid four stars tonight. Staff was great, friendly and efficient. The guy at the register didn't know what type of steak is in the steak dish (it's skirt steak). To me, knowing your menu is a basic 101 question at work. I debated between the steak dish and the barbecue blackened chicken and I ended up choosing the chicken. I envisioned a piece of chicken ... a whole piece of chicken. It advertises as gluten free so I didn't ask for it to be made gluten-free. Unfortunately, they put a piece of bread on top of my food without asking me. They did deliver it to my table, at which point I let them know that I had ordered the sweet potato fries and I was allergic to wheat. They did not remake the dish, they simply took the piece of bread off, and gave me some fresh sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, that really messed up the temperature of the food. By the time they brought it back, my chicken was cold, lukewarm at best, yet my sweet potato fries were piping hot and very good! It was unfortunately a mediocre experience. I'm giving extra credit for the guy who came up to answer the " what kind of steak is on the steak dish" question. He was helpful and friendly. Restaurant is 3.5 / 5 clean. The bathroom could really use attention. It needs deep cleaning, nothing that's recent. I don't think I'll be back yet it's a good option for a less expensive meal in the Burlingame area. This is a great, walkable town with lots of options to choose from!

Went for a late lunch with some friends as some breakfast places were already closed. It's a smaller restaurant where you order at the counter and the servers will serve your entrees. I wanted the Beet and Citrus salad with a side of Grilled Salmon. It's primarily an Arugula salad that comes with 3 thin slices of beets vs. chunks and 3 thin slices of orange segments on the side. The Salmon on the side was nice and tender. My other friend ordered the same salad. Our other friend ordered the Thai Street Prawns which was a big portion in a bowl. Each order comes with a grilled slice of bread with a Pesto Sauce on top which was really delicious and paired nicely with all salads/bowls. Our server was friendly. You can get your utensils by the counter. It's a nice, casual place with healthy options. Brunch is also served on the weekends. Good luck on parking as it was a challenge to find but metered parking is free on Sundays.

Pretty expensive and food is mediocre. I ordered the shakshuka. I usually love shakshuka and unfortunately it just tasted like tomatoes paste without much savory goodness

While walking down Burlingame Ave, I was craving a healthy-ish meal for dinner. After a quick Yelp search, I found Urban Kitchen. I went with their Sustainable Grilled Salmon entree, and subbed the Urban Salad for their Greek Salad. My gosh, the meal was so delicious! The lemon oregano dressing paired perfectly on top of the crispy-edged piece of salmon. I was genuinely sad when I finished the salmon - it was that good. The super grains looked like a brown rice and quinoa mix, which was savory and chewy. The greek salad came with plenty of kalamata olives, crispy garbanzo beans, and creamy feta. I'll definitely be back for a healthy & flavorful meal.

I was not the biggest fan but I also came for their brand-new brunch menu which may not have all the kinks ironed out yet so I may come back some other time and try their normal menu for lunch or dinner. We ordered the chicken & waffle, steak & eggs, as well as a salmon eggs benedict. I found all of these to be just OK, except for the chicken in the chicken & waffle which was actively unenjoyable due to being way over-breaded and also being mostly bread and not chicken. The breading also had some weird mochi-like/chewy texture which was not pleasant, so I'd say this was the weakest item we ordered. The hot honey syrup it came with went great with the waffle though. I also enjoyed the sweet potato fries, which though very unevenly seasoned appeared to be air-fried due to the lack of oil and were super crispy and tasty when I did get a piece that was salted properly.

Charming neighborhood restaurant with a great selection of healthy options. The Steak Sandwich is very good. The Healer Bowl with Blackened Chicken is my favorite, with generous portions and the perfect blend of ingredients. Great value. Very nice staff! Clean and comfortable atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this place!

On top of that, from the moment I walked in, I personally felt uncomfortable and judged about my appearance/body, which made the experience even more disappointing. I understand that things come up and schedules change, but basic communication and professionalism go a long way. I took time out of my day, traveled there, arrived early, and was ready for an interview that management arranged. A simple message letting me know the interview needed to be postponed or canceled would have been appreciated. Unfortunately, the entire experience left a very poor impression of the professionalism and respect shown toward potential employees.

So, coming here, first off, ALL the people who work here are wonderful. Very kind, professional, helpful and they act like they want to be here. I was helped quite a bit by Yesenia, and she was amazing, took great care of me! So kudos to management for what seems to be that, in turn, they take good care of their staff. It was a fairly long line to order and, at first, I sorta wished they had table service instead -- but it ended up moving fairly quickly and was very easy to order. They give you a number and you choose your own table, either inside or outside. On a Saturday morning, although it was busy, there were plenty of tables. My coffee came right away and it is good coffee. And I was told its Crepevine's own branded coffee, organic blend. My Thai crepe came not too long after. It usually comes with both peanut sauce and pesto. But I don't like pesto (and what does that have to do with Thai anyway?) so I asked for it to be prepared with just the peanut sauce. Unfortunately, that got lost and what I was served came with no sauces at all in the crepe. They were happy to take it back and have it re-done and it came out and a short time later with the peanut sauce inside ... and was nice and hot -- and delicious! The side salad that comes with the crepe usually has balsamic vinaigrette but I noticed that one of the menu items is a Thai Salad so, in keeping with the theme, I asked if they could put the dressing for that salad on my side salad and they said no problem, and it was very good -- a lemongrass dressing. The home potatoes were decent although I like mine well done with crispy edges, which these weren't, so I'd probably ask for that next time. And, btw, the value for the money is really good -- they give you A LOT of food! I actually couldn't finish everything on the plate. That all said, I don't think I'll come here on a regular basis, don't live nearby, but I'll definitely come back again, maybe when I have a guest in town -- it was a good meal at a good price and with excellent service and atmosphere, and the few minor problems I had were solved very quickly and efficiently, so 5 stars well deserved.

We shared four pizzas amongst five people, and it was the perfect amount of food. We got the BBQ chicken, Calabrese + honey, funghi, and Margherita pizzas. The BBQ chicken was my personal favourite, while others liked the Calabrese + honey. I thought that one just tasted like a plain pizza with tomato sauce and honey. I really liked the funghi as well as the cheese was rich. The Margherita was normal. A lot of these pizzas had bitter-tasting leaves instead of something less sharp like spinach. Each pizza was around $20-25. Service was fine.

We had been given a voucher for a free appetizer from the Doubletree by Hilton after checking into the hotel and telling the front desk clerk that we wanted to have dinner here. We were excited and decided we'd just eat casually in the bar area. As we entered the host's desk with about 3 female employees there, we weren't greeted warmly nor with smiles as we asked if it was okay to sit in the bar area? The Asian female host just looked at us sternly and points to the bar area. Okay....times have changed. We walked in and decided to sit by the window. Hayley was our waitress and she was welcoming as we told her it's been awhile since we'd been here so she said "Well, welcome back!" We decided to order the warm roasted crab & artichoke dip as our appetizer, the 16 oz. Ribeye which my friend wanted as Medium-Well done and a glass of Pinot Noir which Hayley suggested. She gladly had me try a sample of the Pinot and was able to describe the notes and what she preferred. I went with that. When the crab/artichoke dip came, I noticed the top was dry and not moist as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp. We ate it but that was something to note as it wasn't the same tantalizing dip I used to enjoy. When the entree came, my friend and I had split the steak and had even ordered an extra portion of whipped potatoes. I usually order my steak Medium Rare but my friend & I noticed the meat wasn't even marbled and seemed to be more like a Sirloin cut? For Medium-Well done, my friend's cut was still bloody? She asked to have them refire it after she saw her portion, so they did. We both had a hard time cutting thru the meat which should've been tender if it was a Ribeye and chomped on the tough meat. After a few bites we were very disappointed and told Hayley. She told us she'd talk to the kitchen. Alex, the Manager that night apologized, listened to her concerns, told us he'd remove the entree from our bill and took our plates. Hayley was apologetic as well but we said it wasn't her fault. We paid our bill and we said we wouldn't be back after this experience. They've sadly gone downhill. When we got back to the hotel we told the front desk clerk what happened just so he was aware. Then my friend got something to eat at the hotel lobby because she was still hungry. My friend used to dine regularly at Fleming's, Ruth Chris Steakhouse and I've had Ribeye's that I cook regularly and at other restaurants. Even Texas Roadhouse makes a better steak! I don't know how the restaurant is doing but front and back of house should be aware.

This is a great burger spot for family burger nights! The menu is great with lots of kids options…read more The food isn't super consistent, but we love how parking is easy, service is friendly and accommodating, the kids really enjoy the caltrain whizzing by, and there is space for larger groups. My son loves to get the 2 slider kids menu item and douse it in ketchup. The regular hamburger is pretty good but I still have yet to try the other burgers and chicken sandwiches. They look really good! The restaurant is unpretentious, spacious, and we didnt feel self conscious with having a very excited toddler yelling "choo-choo train!!" every time a train passed. Highly recommended! They also have a covered outdoor space for private events as well! Might need to cater from them for a birthday in the near future!

Finally popped in to try Maverick Jack's. We arrived on a Saturday night and were seated…read moreimmediately. We initially sat outside on their patio (which was quite nice) and moved inside as the night got colder. We ordered one classic burger with American cheese and one Outlaw. We also subbed our fries for parmesan garlic fries and tots. The burgers were really tasty; we especially enjoyed the classic burger. The tots were also great - crispy and perfectly fried. The parmesan garlic fries had good flavor but were too oily for our liking. For drinks, we got a blonde bombshell shake which was vanilla with strawberry drizzle around the glass. Service was very friendly and attentive, and their seating (both indoor and outdoor) is comfortable and spacious. As we ate our meal, we had a window view of the sunset. Our dinner came out to $70+ which was a bit steep but we enjoyed our experience.
