We booked a garden room. It was a lovely clean room. Check in was easy and we got into our room early. It has Adirondack chairs outside overlooking the ocean. There used to be a food truck for coffee and breakfast if you don't want to make in your room. The ocean is steps away. I love you can make a beach fire. We will stay here again. The best for me is the lifeguard. I will never get in the water alone. Most hotels do not have lifeguards! This is awesome!

Our stay at Wavecrest was amazing! Our room was on the beach and listening to the waves crash from our room was outstanding! Exactly what we wanted! Siracha Steve and his Wave Crave food truck was a great way to start each day. Coffee was strong and delicious and there are lots of great menu options to choose from. Make sure to ask him about the dishes named for his grand kids! Beach chairs were provided and there were fire canisters making it easy to have a fire on the beach! You could buy wood at the resort store. Walking the beach was also great since we had it mostly to ourselves in a mid-week early June visit. Montauk was a nice place to visit with many great restaurants and bars and shops. The lighthouse was a highlight of our trip! The views and hiking trails made our trip! I can't say enough good things about Wavecrest for an old school beach vibe. Clean, comfortable, and very affordable! It was perfect for my wife and me!!!

Came here for Memorial Day weekend. The location is great, it's beach side and they have a pool. The pool is indoors that opens up to the courtyard but it's pretty heavy with chorine. They don't serve food so you have to bring your own or order from the food truck that closes at 3pm (very good food). It's not fancy but nice, but it's nice and simple. I would recommend staying on the top floor because even though there are signs that say quiet hours are between 10pm-8am the people upstairs had after parties two nights in a roll that lasted past 2am. It sounded like a stampede and the staff won't do anything about it even if you let them know. The phone in our room didn't even work, you have to use your cell.

We stay every year at wavecrest! The accessibility to the beach is amazing. They set up your chairs and umbrellas where you want them which makes it enjoyable to just grab your bag and go. Also the food truck is so yummy and right on your way to the beach. The indoor pool is a nice break from the beach. Lots of tables and patio seating with views of ocean. Rooms come with kitchenette. We love this place!!!

My now fiancée proposed on the balcony of the overlook suite! The resort is beautiful and spacious! Check in was easy and Great! The one bedroom suite was cozy! We cooked in the kitchen and had everything we needed. The couch was comfortable as well as the bed. The sunset view from the balcony was picture perfect. We will be back for mini vacation in montauk at Wavecrest.

View from our room at Wavecrest!

Beautiful location and lovely room! Angelina took care of us and our room. She was really kind and helpful! Also the Wave Crave food truck is awesome! I had the best lobster roll of life and their breakfasts are delicious! We'll be back (even if a little pricey) ;-)

The best place in Montauk!! Love the beach, the staff and everything about this place just magical!! I can't wait to come back!!

Almost didn't stay here due to the middling ratings of this place but glad we did as it turned out to be much nicer than the ratings indicated. Consisting of 4 buildings - Beach Dune and Waters Edge ocean facing and closest to the beach, Panorama and Overlook set back a bit at an angle but on higher ground. We had a 2nd floor sea view studio with two queen beds in Panorama facing SW down the beach, overlooking the greenery of the state park next door (paid more for the view - $410 before tax - pricey but this is Montauk in July - even though in mid week the beach here is comfortably uncrowded). Dune building may have the best ocean front views but I like our higher up view. We had room 146 but if you could get the one on the corner - 145 - then it'll be even better with two sides). Room is fair sized and with grey wood floors, cool sea foam colors, tiny bathroom, kitchen area (minimally equipped) and furnishings in decent condition (the balcony door insulation on the outside a bit torn so at first we thought the door was broken but it just didn't look too good). There's one armchair, table with three sturdy wooden chairs, 32 inch TV and chest of drawers. Closet. Sink outside bathroom. WiFi quite slow although seems to be able to connect on the beach in some spots. Aircon worked perfectly. Best thing about the room is the two queen beds good for sharing (most other resorts tend to only have one bed with pullout couch), and the large spacious balcony with two lounge chairs and two regular plastic chairs. You almost don't have to go out onto the beach as it is so pleasant to just sit on the balcony and enjoy the scenery. But if you do, they provide free beach chairs and big umbrellas (the attendants will set everything up for you). No beach towels however so need to bring your own (for that matter in the room there's no bath products beside soap and the towels were thin and old). No meal option at the resort but there is a food truck by the beach selling drinks and wraps - tried the spicy chicken wrap - about $11 - not bad at all and large enough portion for two to share. There is also a good size deck area with tables to eat on if you prefer not to eat on the beach.

Fire in the beach nightly. A must!

Starting with the room, the size was good, but it could have been cleaner. I noticed some dust and dirt in the corners, and the room felt like it could use an update. The coffee machine looked older and wasn't very clean, the refrigerator wasn't working properly, and there wasn't an ice machine nearby--you have to call the front desk for ice. At night, the room wasn't very soundproof. You can hear footsteps from the room above, along with other noises, so if you're a light sleeper, it's something to keep in mind. On the weekend, the hotel was lively because of a wedding and the nightclub. There was music until around midnight, and when guests left, the noise from the cars made it difficult to get a full night's sleep. The food and drinks were very good, although they were on the expensive side. I was happy with the quality of the dining experience. Most of the staff were fine, though I noticed a few employees who seemed less welcoming. Thankfully, everyone I interacted with was polite. The overall atmosphere was the highlight of my stay. The property has a beautiful, relaxing vibe with a classy crowd, and I especially loved the morning yoga classes. I spent about $5,000 for a two-night stay, so I expected a more luxurious room experience. Mine was one of the more affordable room categories, and it didn't feel especially upscale for the price. Next time, I would probably visit for the food, drinks, beach, or spa day pass instead of staying overnight. If you're looking for a lively resort with plenty of events and activities, this is a great choice. If you're looking for a very quiet hotel, you may want to consider other options.

Upon arrival, was notified that the pool was out of service because the heater went down. They said I should have received a call. I didn't. After learning this, we figured we would spend most of our time in the hot tubs. Turns out, the heater went down for those also didn't work. The pool and the hot tubs were basically polar plunges. We booked a corner ocean view with a large balcony. The room itself was nice. Large, spacious and a wonderful shower with very nice water pressure. However, the room had ants. And a lot of them. I wish I took pictures. For a newly renovated property, you would think the HVAC systems would have been upgraded. But no. The heating in the room was so loud we actually had to turn it off in the middle of the night because it prevented us from sleeping. This property as a whole puts A-LOT of money on the esthetics. The lighting it beautiful, the wall decor is gorgeous, but it's the the things you don't see easily that need help. Ripped cushions, rotting wood on the patio, ants, poor HVAC, and clearly not a 24/7 on call pool repair for a resort that in the summer time charges $1500 a night for a basic room. Again, you book a winter getaway at a place like this to enjoy the pool and spa. When it's not working properly it just ruins the entire trip and there is no point in staying there. A seperate review of the restaurant was already posted by me. The restaurant was the saving grace. But I absolutely will not stay at this property again.

Okay, people don't travel to watch TV, but you just want things to work and to relax, and constantly calling the staff to fix the TV and having them in your room failing to fix the TV is not relaxing. Make sure major items in the rooms are working, or have spares and replace them. Period. This place was then too cheap to offer real recompense and gave my family member some awful ski cap that probably cost about 30 cents. Just unacceptable at this price point.

The pool is very small but it does go up to 8 feet, which is nice. The cafe/restaurant on the premises is awesome. We loved all of the baked goods including the ham and cheese miso scone, the croissants, and the cookies. This area of the beach was quiet during the week. Fun place to sun bathe, watch the surfers, and really relax. While we were at Marram, I also took advantage of one of their free meditation sessions. If you're there while Raymond is doing the meditation, definitely check it out! It was a very relaxing way to kick off our stay. On a Sunday morning during the month of July, even with a relatively quiet dining room, the service was terrible. We had to run down a server just for water and coffee. The coffee, if you can call it that, is watered down and tasteless. We asked for cream and sugar, none came, so we had to go get it ourselves from the kitchen. Bizarre. The banana bread, which is $16, is literally one slice with fresh bananas. OK, so I am fine with paying higher prices for the location, but $16 for one slice of banana bread? Give me a break. Turkey sausage patties are literally 1 mm thick. The avocado toast, which was a very light spread of avocado on toasted bread, was extremely spicy. Totally fine with tortilla chips for a dinner, but certainly not for a breakfast entrée. The smoked salmon came with cucumbers, which had a very weird medicinal taste. The only person happy with their breakfast had ordered the scrambled eggs. Tough to mess that up. One of our party asked for an over easy egg on the side, and they wouldn't do it. Asked for a fruit basket, but it never came. Service and quality of food were both extremely disappointing. The only redeeming quality is the location.
