Had breakfast here and it is now one of my favorite breakfast places now. The customer service was excellent, our waiter loved to chat and made the whole expericene feel better. Walking in you get greeted with a bunch of smiles and welcoming vibes. The country eggs benedict, which is nothing short of spectacular. This classic breakfast dish is elevated to new heights at Kens. The eggs are perfectly poached, with yolks that ooze just the right amount of richness. This restaurant is incredible! Second visit and the food continues to be excellent as does the staff. Had a short wait for a table as it's first come, first seved on seating. But well worth the wait. Once seated we were greeted by our very pleasant and helpful server who took our drink orders. Menu is extensive for breakfast and lunch is also offered. We ordered the western omelet with rye toast and home fries and the meat lovers omelet (ham, bacon, Italian sausage), cheddar cheese and home fries along with a bagel and cream cheese. As their sign at the entrance says 'we serve good food not fast food' so patience is needed when eating here. Not a place where you can dash in for a quick bite and be out in a few minutes unless you order take out. Food arrived piping hot with large servings of home fries. Omelets are made with three eggs so they are large and packed with plenty of fillings. The western was loaded with plenty of ham and cheese as was the meat lovers which was over flowing with bacon, ham and the sausage. Home fries were nice and crisp with plenty of flavor. Bagel was toasted and a plate with two containers of cream cheese and butter were provided. And the great touch was the butter was nice and soft which was great for spreading on the rye toast. Prices are very reasonable for what is provided and highly recommend a visit to this establishment to enjoy the great food and service. read more

This a cute place and clearly very popular. We came early enough that we didn't have to wait, and when we left there was a line. The menu is extensive and has some unique items. The coconut french toast was pretty good, they cooked my bacon the way I asked, but the strawberries in the fruit cup were sour. The meat lovers omelet was very thin, the Texas toast was cold, the home fries were good, nice bark and flavorful. The food came out very quickly, so much so that I think the cooks rushed too much. We literally drove 1.5 hours to get here with a line out the door that moved pretty quick and I have to say: ZERO REGRETS. It was worth every mile and every second that took to get here! This little homie, cozy, foodie spot totally stole my heart with their farmhouse-style ambiance and delicious, innovative food and coffee. From the moment we walked in til the moment we left, the staff was nice and friendly with outstanding customer service that excelled. What I mean by this is everyone greeted you even just with a smile and transmitted happiness and love for what they do. By the time you order your food you've already become a part of the family and can't wait to try your delicious meal. They have a small variety of different coffee flavors such as strawberry shortcake, Jamaican me crazy and Hazelnut. I tried all three and honestly it was a hard choice to pick my favorite. We stuck to french toast and home fries so I got to try the Nutella and strawberry while my hubby stuck to the cream cheese and strawberry. As a Nutella junkie, you already know which one was my fave ;) I have to say this, and I can't say it enough, french toast will never be my first choice for breakfast EVER. Once I saw the stuffed french toast on someone else's plate I knew that's what I wanted. I wasn't disappointed, not one bit. The bread wasn't too thick or too thin, perfectly moist but not too much. The stuffing layers were perfect and the portion size was optimal. Once you cut through that stuffed french toast and go through the layers it holds its fluffiness and doesn't flatten out, the tart of the strawberry mixed with the richness of the Nutella dipped in a little bit of fluffy, airy, whipped cream makes the perfect balance. Home fries: perfect salt, crisp, softness and crunch. Honestly one of the best I've had. Next time I go I would love to try something else on the menu but it will be a little hard since I think this stuffed french toast with Nutella and strawberry has officially stole my heart. Went this morning with three friends, and Ken's is definitely the best place around. The reviews that I read cautioned about a wait, and they were spot on. Be patient, and look at the menu and specials. They do a really good job keeping everything moving. Our server, Sue, is (along with her husband, Ken) the owner, and she did a great job taking care of us and the other tables in her area. I had the "Big Eater's #1" which consisted of 3 eggs, home fries, toast, and a choice of sausage, bacon, or ham. Perfectly cooked, well-spiced home fries, and 2 patties. Coffee is excellent and bottomless. I also had an apple strudel muffin, grilled. Also very delicious and home-made. All of us enjoyed our food, although we missed the fifth member of our group, Dan AKA Stone. A few minor quibbles.....this morning, it was very loud. I guess this is normal due to it always being crowded. Also, the corned beef hash is canned, not home-made. Normally, for me, this is a deduction in my overall rating. Stopped in with my Husband for a quick breakfast. Our first time here and it appears this place gets pretty busy quickly. Our wait was about ten minutes. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean . We ordered a single pancake and single French toast. Both were good, run of the mill. The husband had the lobster omelette with grilled veggies. He loved it cause he ate every single bit of it. I had the surf and turn Benedict with steak and lobster. When you are guaranteed a great breakfast in your mind you choose this place every time ! We went for my favorite coconut French toast again and as I expected were still fantastic. Thick and filling for two pieces . I added a meal of bacon,eggs and homefries with it . My friend went with a Philly Steak sandwich with red peppers and ooozing cheese with a side of chips. The food is good, but so are other places! What is lousy is that they don't allow take out orders on the weekends!!! And the sign they have stating this is small on this bulletin board outside. This past Sunday, I waited 25 minutes outside and then came up to the sign that stated this fact. So unprofessional. Let me preface this by saying we checked the website first for information. We went for breakfast today. You have to wait in a long line to get in , they do not take names to wait for a table. That's fine. Understandable. You're entire party must be present to sit at a table. So don't think your going to go early and snag a table. There is a 75 minute sit limit on the tables. Which is more than enough time. But we basically got KICKED out after 45 minutes. My self and another person in our party were finishing our coffee, not sure who the person was but she said she would give it to us in to go cups and we could go outside to chat. The way she said it was rude and pushy. I wasn't too thrilled with it. The other 2 people in my party were visiting from Canada , so it gave them a bad impression. Food was very good. Plentiful. Specials looked really good. Our waitress was really nice. Just the random woman telling us to leave , and before our time limit was up was the only truly bad part of the visit. I have been going to Ken's for 30 years! The food is consistently amazing, and the friendly faces are so welcoming especially as time goes by! It's such an iconic Glastonbury spot you must give it a try.. like an old country store. The only issue is the line on weekends , but it moves quickly and it's worth the wait . Had our first chance to try Ken's Corner today. We have certainly seen the lines waiting to get in and thought this must be a great place to eat. The line went quickly and we were seated in a cozy booth towards the back of the restaurant. I ordered one of the benedict options, my wife ordered eggs over avocado toast. The food arrived quickly and so did our positive anticipation. The avocado toast was merely a slab of avocado on a slice of toast with the eggs on top. Typically I would assume the avocado would be smashed with some level of light seasoning and maybe some lemon juice to help keep them bright in color for service. The benedict was a disappointment. The poached eggs were well cooked with hard centers. While I know I could have sent this back, my dinning companion was already served and I'm not a fan of eating alone, and neither are most people. I felt that if the plate was presented this way in a restaurant know for breakfast, then they must be satisfied in what they are presenting to the customer and feel it is acceptable. Upon looking at the size of the kitchen and staff I could see why they may serve food this way. The kitchen is super small, the crowds are large and never ending. There is probably little time to prepare the plates in an individualized manner. I think that they probably prepare many great items and I would recommend that you select omelets or pancakes which require less organization. read more

I've been wanting to try this place out for a while and so glad I finally did! We went on a Sunday afternoon and there was a bit of a wait, but that was expected. The line moved pretty fast so we weren't waiting too long. Our server was so friendly, she definitely made our experience even better! I got eggs over easy with white toast and bacon. My boyfriend ordered a chocolate chip waffle with whipped cream topped with strawberries. Our food was so good and didn't take too long to come out despite how packed the place was. Like they kept telling us they're just a small family restaurant. My friends and I like to try to new restaurants and I heard good things about Ken's corner. The food was decent. It wasn't bad, but it also didn't stand out. I had the cinnamon French toast, over medium eggs, bacon and hash browns. The server didn't seem to like all our questions (I.e. do you serve chicken sausage?), which almost every answer started with we're just a small family restaurant. We came on a Tuesday, late morning, and there was a short wait - the fact that it was busy at this day and time ought to tell you just how popular and loved this place is. And for good reason! The food is good, the prices are very reasonable, and the vibe is so friendly. I loved the signs they have about being kind, and my Dad really appreciated the great Yankees memorabilia. I've never been the biggest breakfast person but every once and a while I do enjoy going out for a nice breakfast. Ken's Corner Breakfast was my girlfriends favourite breakfast spot when we used to live in Connecticut and we managed to make our first trip here together this past weekend. The place was absolutely packed when we arrived and although I do find it weird that you wait in line instead of putting a name in, it seemed to work pretty well so kudos for the unique approach to being busy. Once seated the staff was super friendly during our stay and pretty quick to take orders, provide drinks, and serve food. The large breakfast menu had pretty much everything you would expect along with a good sized specials menu. Because I'm me, I ended up ordering the biscuits and gravy with hash browns and scrambled eggs because I'm just a huge sucker for anything with sausage gravy. The food came out pretty quick and once it was in front of me I was pretty darn pleased with my final result. The hash browns were pretty good and made for the perfect food companion while the sausage gravy had a nice taste to it as well making the biscuits equally enjoyable. The scrambled eggs were simple (which is kind of want you want with scrambled eggs) and sat nicely on top of the meal. Overall, I enjoyed my first ever trip to my girlfriends favourite breakfast spot. I enjoyed both the food and the service and would not mind coming back here during future trips to Connecticut. I also tried some of the fresh fruit cup. The meal was good. The omelets are the type where the fold the ingredients into the middle rather than mixing it up into the egg. I kinda like that. The hash browns had good flavor but i thought the potatoes were kind of dry. The toast seemed like any 12 grain toast you could buy at the grocery store. The strawberries in the fruit cup were locally sourced. Not a WOW breakfast but I'm not really complaining either. However, I'm not sure if I would seek it out again. read more

This is my go to breakfast spot when I meet up with one of my girlfriends. Ken's is a locally owned. The spot is ALWAYS busy. It's first come, first served and they do not do reservations. I order a single piña colada pancake and eggs. The eggs are fine but this pancake is massive and delicious, I don't even use the syrup. What a little gem! This is the coziest spot we've been to in this area. We were passing through CT and I am so glad we stopped here. Easily the best omelet I've ever had.
