Honestly, one of the most amazing nail salons I have ever been to. Everyone is so friendly and caring and does such an amazing job! Sammy (who I usually see) is my favorite! I highly recommend Keratin Lab - truly the best salon in OC! Every nail tech is extremely talented but I've been a regular client with Kim Ho for awhile now. Before my first ever appointment at Keratin Lab, I had been doing dip manicures at another salon and my nails and cuticles were in pretty bad shape. When I started seeing Kim at Keratin Lab, she completely revived my nails and they've never looked better. Because my nails were so weak and my cuticles were so dry from the dip, Kim recommended I try a Gel-X manicure. I highly recommend Gel-X! My nails are now very strong and I don't have dry, chapped cuticles anymore. I typically come in once a month but my manicures always last much longer than that. I've gone 5-6 weeks in between manicures a few times and even at 6 weeks, my manicure is still going strong and my nails are still in tip top shape! read more

I have not been going anywhere else since this place opened. Every nail technician is so talented and it shows they care for each customer. The salon is always very clean and has a huge range of colors and designs to choose from. (I usually get the rockstar glitters) I love this place and will not go anywhere else. It is by appointment only, but that's totally fine with me. My gel nails last 3 weeks and I feel like it's very fair priced. My experience is a perfect example to not rely on the hype of a place. I had sent Jole a picture in advance of what I wanted. I don't understand how you can show someone, who claims to be experienced, a picture of what you want and have it turn out the exact opposite. The only reason I didn't ask to have my nails re-done is that l was pressed for time. It was all the layers of clear coat and color put on my nails that took so long. The manicure itself was fast! I naturally have a long nail bed, and never in my life have my nails looked like clubbed nails. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. If you decide to try this place out, I strongly advise you ask for only ONE clear base coat and ONE clear top coat. read more

I am one of those people that prefers to write a positive review as opposed to a negative one. However, in this instance, I feel I must make a statement. I've been a loyal client to Keratin lab for several years now, and have found it worth the trip from Orange to Costa Mesa (35 minutes) To get the excellent nail service that I've enjoyed. The problem for me, lies within their cancellation policy. I understand that cancellations are a hassle, and nobody wants to deal with it. Including the client. I had an appointment with my nail tech, Demi, who is my all-time favorite, and really wanted to see her. But I woke up with 102° fever, cough, and runny nose. I called the front desk and begged to reschedule. They said they needed to charge me a cancellation fee. I was so miserable in bed, that I agreed that a cancellation fee was fair. There was no way I was going to drive down there as sick as I was. It was worth the $25 to stay in bed. She then informed me that since I was canceling a manicure and a pedicure and nail art that I was subject to a $75 cancellation fee for three separate services!!! All I can say is, I hope that $75 goes to the technicians and not in the owners pocket. I can see where a $25 fee would be fair, but a $75 fee for absolutely nothing seems almost illegal. I hope it is worth it to the owner to lose a good client, over this type of pettiness . As much as I love, Demi and her talents, I will have to get my nails done somewhere else, where they are not looking to rip off their clientele. read more

So I docked a star for inaccurate pricing, which seems to happen at an awful lot of businesses lately and is a little annoying because I do like to know prices up front. But other than that, the experience was very good and they did a really great job. So many places do sloppy work these days but I'm really happy with the quality of the work here. My fiancée had a very negative experience here. They charged her for a higher tier of service (usually takes 45min-1 hour, she was only there for 25 mins) and would not listen when she said that she had requested, and been given, the lower level service. She eventually paid for the more expensive one and left, since the employee was being so rude to her that she was almost in tears. This is also after they called her to push back her appointment 5 minutes before it was scheduled, and then called her back a few mins later to tell her that they could help her immediately. It really seemed like they were just trying to rush through her appointment and did not do a very quality job. I definitely am not in the "customer is always right" boat, but charging a customer for a service they didn't get or ask for is next level.
