Do not go to Kerrys Car Care on 67th ave and Happy Valley rd. They are deceitful and have no integrity or stand behind what they say they "fixed" on your car! Took car in for oil leak charged $1300 continued to leak they said it was on them and they would fix it. Went back on their word and wanted to charge me another $1600 to fix their mistake! My 39.99 oil change copon ended up costing me $63.52. I keep going over the math on the receipt and I still cant figure out how they came up with that. I have a math degree to boot. Plus there was and additional charge of $9 for "oil,lube ad filter service. Check tire pressure, and complimentary maintenance inspection". DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Brought a vehicle here for a simple oil leak. Fast forward a week later and got the vehicle maybe a mile down the road and it blew up. Called them and told them that it blew up and they towed it back. Fast forward a MONTH later and nothing was done. They told me they would take care of it all and it wouldn't cost me a dime. That was bullshit. They said the vehicle needed, a harmonic balancer, water pump, serpentine belt and the tranny line. After calling NUMEROUS times and driving there it was still sitting outside in the heat. It had gotten broken into and my tools were stolen. They also told me that they would get me new ones and that was also A LIE. After firmly telling them it needs to be finished ASAP due to going out of town for a week, a week and a half later (I was still out of town) they told me it was all fixed and they dropped it off at my house. I was so excited to finally drive my vehicle and sure enough there was a massive puddle sitting under it. Again. I brought it back and they said they'd take care of it and they didn't. I waited yet ANOTHER week and it wasn't touched once. Not only did they lie PLENTY OF TIMES they made me pay for their mistakes. I'm beyond angry and will never be returning. They try to charge me for a water heater for $2500 all it was a upper hose that had a small leak. Right now I'm having The dealership look over my car to see if they did tamper it my lawyer is notified and they will follow through with a lawsuit towards them I will not let this stand that's a promise! read more

Please do not go here if you are a female. They have taken advantage of my mom, my sister and myself. My most recent experience they had not gotten my consent on any of the work that they did to my car and billed me $800 on something that was supposed to be covered under a recall that they never told me was on my car. Please save your money and go to the dealership or another local business that you can trust. They are very sexist and have no respect for women. This has happened at both the locations on 67th and happy valley and 83rd and Lake Pleasant. The only reason we have stuck with them for so long is because we had worked with TJ in the past for many years and he always treated us with respect. Since they had moved him locations, the customer service has done a complete 180 and it is horrible. They should be so ashamed of the way they treat women and steal peoples money in the middle of a pandemic. read more

The weatherstripping came off my passenger side back window and needed to be re-attached. I called and spoke with Jason and asked if they would be able to make the repair. Jason told me to bring it in and they would check out to see if they could do it. When I got to the store it was Bobby who waited on me and he said sure they think they could do it he would get glue and find out how to make the fix. Sure enough he found out how to make the fix and had some one who is experienced in making that repair guide him. I also had oil change bad because it was almost time. The price was much more reasonable than I have paid in the past and they completed the repair on the window. Thank you all so much. I would certainly recommend you to anybody and I will be back to see you again. You will be my go to auto repair shop from now on. read more

Do not get service from them. Did not put the filter on correctly during the oil change, which resulted in oil leakage. Towed my car back to the shop after realizing. Took it to 3rd party assessment and the owner refused to pay up until I filed the insurance claim. I would rather go to Walmart for an oil change read more

I am not someone who hands out 5 star reviews unless a business really wows me and Kerry's did. I called Kerry's before I bought a Craig's list car to make sure they would check it out. TJ was so helpful and made me comfortable that they would check everything in the car and pull every plug. They walked my husband and I through everything that was going on with the car so we were able to have confidence while making our decision with this third party. I've bought cars before but I have never felt so comfortable and welcome in an auto shop. TJ had stellar customer service and I would recommend this place to anyone because finding a good auto shop is so hard to do! read more

I have been a customer of Kerry's Car Care at 67th and Happy Valley since they opened. For more than three years, I have prepaid / purchased the 5 oil pack. This means they get to earn interest on the services I have prepaid. The service includes rotation of the tires. Several times I thought they had not rotated the tires; even though they indicated so on the invoice. To verify, I started numbering my tires, so I would be able to confirm if the tires had been rotated or not. Several times I caught them lying about having rotated them when had not, causing me to be further inconvenienced while waiting for them to actually rotate my tires. In March of this year, while rotating the tires, they installed the hubcap incorrectly, pressing down on the valve stem. Right after leaving their store, while driving on 1-17 at 75 miles per hour, my tire light went on indicating low air. This sloppiness could have caused my tire to blow out and the vehicle to roll over. I brought it to their attention and gave them another chance. As I said earlier in my review, I have been purchasing the 5 pack oil change package for over three years. Each time I present one of the cards and all services (oil change and tire rotation) are paid in full with the card. Today, a new employee named Andy waited on me. First off, he really needs to work on his customer service skills; He was rude and obnoxious while informing me that because they are very slow, and inventory is down, he was going to have to charge me for an extra quart of oil, something that I should have been paying at each oil change. Unfortunately, this is the last time I will patronize Kerry's Auto. There are lots of options out there, and I am sure they will provide a better quality service at a comparable price. read more

Never had a positive experience here, the first time I brought my car in they kept it 3 days over what they said, the second time my dad needed them to come out, said they would come out in one hour but they came 5 hours later. I keep giving them chances and they are always horrible and overpriced. I paid $70 for an oil change and rotation. I really wanted to like this place but left disappointed. I made an appointment for an oil change with oil and a filter which I supplied. When I got there I asked how long it would be and was quoted an hour and a half and told them I was on a time crunch and asked if they could do it slightly faster and they said that wouldn't be a problem. It ended up taking 2 hours and I wasted time that I didn't have to spare. One would assume that with an appointment, you should be able to get out in an hour or less for a simple oil change The place itself was a nice change of pace compared to the usual scummy shop and employees had good customer service. Also they have a sign displayed up front that said something along the lines of "Speak with a service adviser today" Should be advisor :) read more

BEWARE! This place was such a disappointment. My husband brought my car in for an oil change and to look at the air conditioning, which wasn't as cold as usual. He received a call saying that the car had a radiator leak, AC system leak, the belts had never been replaced. The grand total was going to be $2200.00! I have been taking my car to Toyota for regular service since I first purchased my car in 2009. I promptly picked up my car, paid for the oil change, and took it directly to Toyota. On the way there the AC blew hot air. After dropping my car off I received a call about their inspection. NO leak in the radiator. NO leak in the AC system, although every drop of Freon had been drained from the system. NO cracked belts. After flushing the AC system and recharging the Freon I paid the $189 and took my car home. Don't believe what you're told. Get a second opinion or better yet, avoid this place like the plague. I would rather give them zero stars, but that is apparently not an option. read more

Went there for first time to have auto door lock (actuator) power window (control panel) and AC (cycling after running for 15 minutes) checked on used Cherokee recently purchased. Told service rep Cory what they needed to check. I was told there would be a $140 "diagnostic charge". 3 hours later he called to tell me the lock actuator and window control needed replaced (as suspected) and quoted me approximately $750 for parts I was able to purchase for $150. I had to remind him the AC was also needing checked, another $140 diagnostic charge. Told me a story about "filtering" my Freon to get out impurities and replacing. All they did was charge the system, no leak check, charged for Freon (and diagnostic). When Picking up the vehicle I was told if I didn't purchase their parts, they'd charge me additional shop time to reassemble the door panel they removed. I fixed the window control panel and lock actuator for $150 in parts. This shop takes advantage of people that do not know better by greatly overcharging for parts they claim are better quality. Replacement parts for 20 year old vehicles are not being made by the original manufacturer, probably 3 or 4 companies, all overseas, selling under various labels and packaging. My complaints (left 2 messages) to their link have gone unanswered after 2 1/2 weeks. Would not recommend for anything. read more

I took my van in and they quoted me $3400 for quite a bit of work. I was concerned that it was expensive, but they insisted this was all necessary and at the best price. After I had the work done, Kerry's told me that I needed to have additional work done that would be another $1100. I reached out to the Honda dealership to see what their price would have been. They quoted me $1200 cheaper for the original work and when I took the van to the dealership to see if I needed to second repairs, they said it was fine! I am disgusted. The service people were so nice and all this time they were completely scamming me out of over a thousand dollars. Please do not take your car here. read more

My daughter is 21 and lives in Phx. She found this place and trusted them. First mistake. They charged her 3,200 to get her head gasket replaced and a couple other things. A month later, her fuel pump went out. She took it back to them and they wanted to charge her $900.00 on a Chevy Malibu. They gave her a "discount" of $200.00. I loaned her the money and I paid the $700.00. We were told the car would be ready the next day, and we'd get a call. Instead, 2 days later, I got a text from them (This is all today that this happened.) stating they needed to get an additional part, the car is fixed and we now owe them another $120.00 They did not get my approval. They called my daughter and TOLD her, did not ask her for approval. They told her "The car is ready and it required an additional part." Mentioned nothing about the amount, did not ask her approval and did so after the car was fixed. I spoke to Greg and then to Devlin (The GM), and explained how a quote works, since they obviously don't understand. I told them, you give a quote, if it increases, you call for approval. If you are given approval, THEN you do the work. You don't do the work, let the customer know the car is ready, and "Oh by the way, you owe me more money." I think, and expressed my opinion to Devlin, that I believe they saw a young 21 year old girl come in who already trusted them enough to pay $3200.00 for work done. Now they can throw around the work "Discount" and get more out of her. The fuel pump (High Injection) is $134.44, GM part. They charged my daughter $427.00, but claimed they charged what they were charged. Greg admitted to me, that he agreed with me, that it is not good practice to do the work before approval. Devlin admitted to my daughter that he did not receive approval from her, the day before, when Greg called. Greg had called her in regards to the dealership sending over the wrong fuel pump 3 times. He told her he also needed another part, but never asked for an approval or decline. Devlin explained to me, that without this extra part, the fuel line would leak and it would be very dangerous. KNOWING THIS, he said if we didn't pay, he could just put the old part on, and she could get her car. So, because YOU didn't know what parts would be needed, because YOU didn't ask for an approval before doing the work and because YOU didn't want to eat the cost of your mistakes, you want to send my 21 year old daughter back on the road in unsafe conditions? Great customer care. I ended up splitting the difference of the extra part, because, although they are fine with her not being safe, I am NOT. I will NEVER let her or anyone I know, go back to this sketchy, place. read more

I got my oil changed there a few days ago and the staff was so extremely nice and just fun to be around which is rare for a car repair place. I called ahead of time and they were very helpful and said i could use the coupon even though it wasn't for my car type. They also didnt just change my oil and send me on my way, while they had my car they checked the tires and let me know of things i need to keep an eye on or do to keep my car running properly. By far the best experience ive had with any type of car service company and id highly recommend . read more

Took my car in for shuttering brakes. Paid $250 to have rotors resurfaced only. I was told the struts were bad which is what warped the rotors. They quoted $1270 to replace the struts. Called around and found several places quoting $650 for the same job. After talking to my neighbor (also a mechanic) found out the struts were fine and could have gotten rotors resurfaced at OReilly's for $20 each. For about three years, my husband and I swore by Kerry's. We recommended them to all of our family, friends and neighbors in the area. Bobby was great, super friendly and the entire team really made us feel like they truly valued our business. Earlier this year, one of our vehicles, less than 5 years old, was towed into Kerry's and needed an alternator. We paid the $1000+ for the new alternator. When they called to tell us the vehicle was all done, they also mentioned that they were having issues with it communicating with the computer and couldn't figure it out. We picked up the vehicle, drove straight to the dealer and found out that the new alternator that was put in was bad. We also found out that there was a recall on the alternator and it was fully covered by Chrysler jeep. Dealer put in a new alternator and we were on our way a few days later. It's been about four months now, and still no refund from Kerrys on the faulty alternator that was put in and we had then replaced the same day. Many follow up calls to Bobby, Jason and team and still no answers. This was months after the vehicle was in three separate times for an issue with the cylinder that they were never able to fix, but instead, told us we needed to replace numerous other things instead, which we did. Dealer also ended up fixing that cylinder misfire the same time they replaced the alternator. Needless to say, we are looking for a new spot to take our vehicles and support the local community. read more

We started going to Kerry's last year with my 18 year old's Honda. Long story short, it was a used car with a "new" engine that Kerry's tried to save, with several visits, but, the engine blew 8 months into him owning it. (There were bolts missing from the engine mount and other factors that no one was to blame. Being that my son was responsible, they worked with us on cost to keep it down and made sure they addressed the issues to HIM, as well as me, so that he understood what was going on. (That car ended up being donated to Wheels for Wishes) In May, my son had started working for a dealership in the area and saw an Audi in their wholesale lot in the back. He wanted to buy it. Even with me and the Used Car Manager (who is a friend) stating our concerns with him purchasing an Audi (in 'as is' condition), he bought it anyway. Not even a month into it, the problems started up. Kerry's took in the car to work on (at this point, they are starting to feel like family because we've been there enough) :) Being an Audi, even I know that they can be a b*&%! to work on. Thinking they got the issue, it was returned to Jesse. Turned out, the issue was in an area of the engine they couldn't see. They took the car, this time for about 3 - 4 weeks (fortunately, my schedule works in a way that my son was able to use my car, but, there were times I needed it and had to go without) so they can pull the engine apart and really thoroughly go through the Head and clean it up and replace parts. Put it back together and we got it back. After driving for a bit, smoke is billowing out the back end. Turns out, oil is pouring back into he engine (the place they sent the motor to for work did not replace some of the parts that were removed in the process). They took the car back in and, you know what they did for me???? The rented ME a car so that my son had my vehicle to use and I wouldn't have to go without while they had the car again. They went above and beyond to accommodate not only my son, but ME, to ensure we were satisfied. My son, nor I, was not charged for anything they needed to do and they treated us with utmost respect and professionalism. It helps that we both stayed patient during the process and always went in laughing about the issue. How you approach anything makes a difference and I believe that the mutual respect and maturity in the situation made a difference. I would absolutely recommend them to everyone. Chris and Jason are the one's we dealt with the most, but, I have never had a bad experience with ANY of the members of staff that work there. Gotta say, feels like my old town garage from back east! Im kinda bummed about this.... I have always been happy with this location until the last time I dropped my car off then it today was the last straw. Last time I dropped car off for an oil change I was told it would be an hour and half or so. I was dropped off at home in their van that was driven VERY dangerously. The driver was doing 65mph in a 45mpoh zone and exceeding the speed limit by 15+ in a residential neighborhood. When I called to check on when I could pick my car up after 2.5 hours, they said they were "running way behind and hadn't started it yet." I finally got my car and I was only 30 minutes late to pick up my kids that were waiting in the office of their school to be picked up when I got there. I have taken roughly 5 vehicles to this location with no issue. The last straw was today when I called to get a price on changing out a part. They will NOT under any circumstances give you a price to change out a part on the phone. NO WAY IN HELL. They require an inspection first. Doesn't matter if you know what you want, Doesn't matter if you have had the issue diagnosed elsewhere. NOTHING MATTERS. A dealership will give a price qutoe. I called two other shops, they gave price quotes. Everyone will tell you what they charge for a specificly requested scope of work. Except this place. I even called another location to see if it was JUST the guy I talked to. Apparently ZERO Kerrys locations will tell you the cost. The GM of this location refused to give a price over the phone and when I said hew was in danger of losing my business on all of my cars, said he didn't care if I never came back to that location again. Last November I brought my daughters Scion Tc in for a four wheel alignment after she had a fight with a curb. The crew did an excellent job and sent me on my way. A few weeks ago she noticed that the car was pulling to one side and had some tire wear. Took the car back to find that the alignment was out again. Kyle was very helpful and patient with my 18 year old daughter and brought the car back to spec. Since it had been so soon they did the work for no charge. It's refreshing to find a business with honesty and integrity. I would highly recommend Kerry's for your car care needs! UPDATE unfortunately I had to update my highly rated review I left a couple months ago. The other day I took the same car in for a brake bleed. I do a lot of my own maintenance including brakes on my car but somehow got air in the system. I went to drop off the car and Kyle checked me in. I told him all I needed was a brake bleed and explained the situation. I asked approximately how much it would cost, he said about $35. After I went to pick up the car an oil change was done on the vehicle even though I did not order it. I explained that I did not order a oil change and they refunded me the amount. ( little miffed, I had just did a full synthetic oil change) Anyhow, I was charged over 100 for the brake bleed. He explained to me that the only way to do the service was to do a fluid exchange in which I had already had done prior. First red flag, after driving the vehicle for a while I noticed that the pedal still have not changed a bit. I immediately called back to ask about the service and if they had gotten any air out the first time. Kyle explained that yes they did get an air out but the brakes needed to be taken apart, cleaned and adjusted and that would take care of the problem. He also told me that the mechanic said that the brakes were still not right. It would've been nice for him to tell me at the time of pick up. Second huge red flag... so off to the Internet I went and found an article on how to bleed the ABS system. I went a head and did it myself and what do you know...it worked. I would've thought by doing a fluid exchange and brake bleed they would've caught the ABS system having air in it. read more
