Real townie joint, but it's got a little bit of charm I guess. I like to go in the summer in hopes of meeting Susan Sarandan, she hangs out there and for an older woman she's a total fox, and her daughter is an absolute smoke show. I think Susan Sarandan is very similar in real life to her character in Bull Durham, she is a sex craved cougar who loves beer and baseball. My kind of woman! Any who the food here is not great and it's overpriced. I think they get away with it because I think it's the only game in town. I think for a bar it's cool, for a restaurant is not so great. But it's a great time to go to a Kettlers game and go cougar hunting at the ho! read more

Kettle-Ho is now a staple in my Cape experience -- both in the winter and the summer. The staff is incredibly mindful and pays attention to their clientele. After only a few visits I began getting greeted as a friend/local/neighbor. This only made the drinks and food taste even better. This was our second time here. Once again it did not disappoint. We were told the wait would be an hour but within ten minutes two seats opened up at the bar. Went here with friends. Very friendly atmosphere, wait staff cheerful and attentive. I had the prime rib special, good sized portion, tender and juicy. Another person has the lobster roll, huge portion with Cole slaw and fries. No room for dessert. Server patient as we sat and nursed drinks while catching up. Will definitely return. read more

If you enjoy a decent restaurant experience, you may wonder after going here, 'how is this place still in business?' The simple answer: everyone is absolutely hammered. The service is almost non-existent, so staggeringly haphazard I'd only suggest going in after maybe an appetizer or two. Preferably, after you've already eaten somewhere else. It would be unwise and unfitting to not be thoroughly buzzed before entering (not necessarily a bad thing). To put it simply: It's a place to go as a last resort. You're already drunk, and you want to make the mistake of that one last drink. We stopped here for lunch when visiting Cotuit because the kids were hungry and it's literally the only game in town. The place is clean, it's a mix between dive bar and hole in the wall restaurant. The food was mediocre at best - nothing to complain about but certainly nothing special. For what it is, it's definitely over-priced. But, being the only game in town during high season on Cape Cod, I suppose it can get away with that... We had a veggie burger (which I believe was the frozen kind from the supermarket) and a BLT, kids fish & chips and grilled cheese. Everything came with fries without options for other sides. If I had it to do over again, I'd just make the quick drive to a neighboring town where there are more options... read more

We had an early dinner at Kettle Ho today. We moved to Cotuit from Hilton Head, SC a little over a year ago. We hadn't tried Kettle Ho because we had heard that their food was so-so. That is so far from the truth!!!! The clam chowder was hot, delicious and loaded with clam. The stuffed quahog was out of this world good. The draft beer was ice cold. My husband had the whole belly clam platter which was cooked perfectly, delicious, and a huge portion. I had clams cotuit, but substituted fra diavlo sauce. It was absolutely delicious. The waitress was very nice and friendly. The kitchen was fast. We hope to become regulars at this local pub. read more

I love the Kettle-Ho. The atmosphere is fun and neighborly, and the servers are friendly and helpful. We were served quickly on a Friday night (we got there early) and the food was delicious. My personal favorite are the baked scallops. Last night we also ordered the Nachos appetizer since it was my birthday, and out came a delicious pile of yumminess!! Some of the best nachos I've had and a huge portion. I wished they have more vegetarian options (I eat fish), but we worked around that. I highly recommend the Kettle-Ho!! read more

I have been going to the Ho since I learned to walk- when they used to have the best pancakes this side of the bridge... they do an occasional brunch now a days. I recently went back for dinner and was beyond pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, drinks (as always strong and tasty) and the service was wonderful.... not to mention the BEST people watching within a solid 10mile radius. read more

I'm so happy I live less then a mile away from the Ho! My wife and I are regulars there. Every time we have dinner, It's consistently excellent. It should be called Kettle-Ho where the locals go! Actually, the locals just call it the "Ho." During the summer it's jammed with the locals trying to avoid the tourists and complaining about the traffic (or the Sox if they are on a losing streak) and tourists looking for the authentic Cape Cod experience. Either way, it's a fun place to go. The crowd is friendly (even if you happen to wander in wearing a Yankee's cap), the food is good - burgers, chili and especially the lobster rolls (it is after all Cape Cod) and the service friendly and efficient. The Ho like the Cape is best experienced off season when the tourists are gone when you can experience the real Cape Cod - minus the mini-golf and the ice cream and salt water taffy stands. read more

Such a fun place with a friendly vibe and terrific food. There are many places on Cape Cod that offer Fish and Chips on their menu. Kettle-Ho serves a crispy ,non greasy and perfectly cooked fish.
