She mumbled a 5 second sentence under her breath about me, something about how she didn't want my clothes falling off or some wild unfounded trash, and only would let me buy a 6 pack to go. I asked her to repeat her statement and she refused, saying something like she wasn't gunna "do that either". Again. I'm being treated like someone I'm not, and it's not like I'm in here hassling this person, I do not find her attractive. I simply want a drink, and then I'll take a 6 to go. I have no idea why she treated me like I was a college kid. I'm a 35 yr old man. I walked there. If her reason to treat me like garbage was due to her not wanting me drinking and driving, she still sold me a 6 to go. Its not like I had my keys in my pocket to lay on the bar. I was treated poorly, but had people to serve at home. I was forced to spend the money in this place, and they did not deserve it. The people who own this place allow their employees to treat you like trash at their discretion. I haven't been in that bar in a month and change, and only have 4 times since I moved here 5 months ago. Never again. Keep your money in your pocket or go to the other place in town.

When we first walked in, a couple people at the bar said hi and made a quick comment that made us laugh. The bartender, who was also our server, was super friendly and attentive. She offered to let us try some of the wing sauces (all made in house) with house made chips, and that's where it started. How are they all so good?? When our food came out, we still weren't expecting much. I didn't even take a picture because I figured it was just dive bar food. I was wrong! Everything was just as good as the wing sauces! I ordered the buffalo chicken salad tossed in Michael's wing sauce. The lettuce was crispy, the chicken had great breading on it, the ranch is made in house and delicious, and the salad was HUGE! My friends ordered a buffalo chicken wrap, a cheesesteak and a fish sandwich. Everyone was shocked. We were all almost too full to ride back to our cars. The beer and seltzer selection is great too. The bathrooms were clean. They have a pool table in the back. This place is great. We will be back again, no doubt.

The bar is located in a strip of stores along Old Clairton Road, just off of route 51. There is some parking in the front that is shared with all the other businesses, and then a parking lot across Old Clairton that gets used at night when the businesses that it is for are closed. Additionally, there is a private lot for the bar in the back, and parking at the Bill Green Shopping Center just a little ways down the road (sidewalks from Bill Green to the bar entrance). Due to a fire that occurred here a few years ago, the entire place has recently been remodeled and reoriented from how it was originally. The bar is now in the back, and the main dining room is in the front. There is also a great patio and outdoor space with open air seating, as well as some area under a porch. Everything is new, clean, and modern as a result of the remodel. On this visit, we came to hang out on a Saturday evening. It was raining, so we had to get a table inside. It was karaoke night, as they have each Saturday, so we got to take in the sights and sounds of several performers. Since we were there later in the evening, we just ordered appetizers to much on along with our drinks. I got the Fiesta Street Corn Dip. It was a great value for the price, and there was a ton to go around the whole table. I also sipped on a Summer Shandy from their seasonal draft list. Overall, the food menu has a decent selection, all at very reasonable prices. The draft list did not have any red or brown ales on it, but there was still a fair selection of drinks. The ladies who came around to our table were pleasant and helpful. It was rather crowded, but there would be times we would not see a server for extended periods of time. I do not think it helped that our table was tucked back in a corner, but wish we would have been visited on a somewhat more frequent basis to put additional orders in. I always have a good time at the P-Bar, and enjoy coming here. Especially in the summer, it is an ideal place to hang out and catch up with friends. And likely, if you are from the area, you will run into several people you know. I did not have their breakfast this time, but the breakfast they have on the weekends is worth a try as well!

Today's experience: Our server took our order in a very reasonable timeframe, but we waited close to 50 minutes for our food to arrive. And this was on a weekday; they were busy but not packed. No one came by to provide any kind of explanation. When the food finally arrived, my fries were cold and we had to ask twice for refills on our beverages. We had to go to the bar to get utensils and napkins because the server never brought them. As we were leaving, a couple at another table had just gotten their food and had the same problem-- they needed utensils and napkins. This isn't the first time we've experienced very slow service at Patrick's Pub. I don't know what the issue is, but I'm sorry to say I probably won't ever go back to Patrick's for a meal.

We found the place to be very clean, and we loved the decor and music. On our first trip, we tried the chicken quesadilla, a fry basket, and the Meatloaf dinner. Everything was good, but the meatloaf stole the show. It was seriously one of my favorite meatloaf's i've ever had in a restaurant. We also tried a cheese wheel, and loved that, too. Our second trip was for wing night. We had to order another cheese wheel, and I tried a sampling of a bunch of different wings. I found that a lot were just different variations of their buffalo sauce. Another was just their ranch dressing with some pickled jalapenos cut up. I was not "super impressed" with the sauces I personally had, purely because they were all basically the same with minor changes....but, they were good. If you are a traditional buffalo sauce fan, then they are definitely for you. The wings were cooked perfectly, and I would definitely go back and try some other flavors. Now, I think there were 5 or 6 people at Redbeard's, went out of their way to understand why the Pepsi fountain was delivering Cherry-Pepsi - It appears that the issue (according to the team at Redbeard's) it has to do with the Syrup delivered by their vendor. It was also noted that the Pepsi fountain system is so old, that there is no one in Pittsburgh who knows how to repair it. So, I think this would be a Great Opportunity to get a new system in and change to Coke. PS - When the change occurs, add in Dr. Pepper and get rid of Orange-Crush - (Cherry-Pepsi is NOT Dr. Pepper) PSS - Just asking, when is the customer right? The food was good. Even their fries were okay. It's hard to find decent fries. The service was wonderful until shift change (right when my folks arrived). Before and after that, we got very good service. Even water refills were kept up. The restaurant is loud even when almost empty (as it was when I first arrived), but they were blasting a basketball game. I listened to music on headphones to block out the squeaky shoes until the rest of my party arrived. Though it's on their website now, the Lent menu is ONLY available Ash Wednesday & Fridays in Lent, which was a bummer, but a lot of restaurants do that.
