I just came from dropping $50.00 at KFC for my party and they totally effed up the order. When I called to speak to a manager, some incompetent employee named "Ruby" insisted they were the shift supervisor. When I said they messed up my order and I wanted to talk to the actual manager or I was coming to get a refund she threatened me with physical violence and dared me to come on down. Just like a normal KFC. One time I came here on the later side and they were out of wedges, so I was forced to make another choice, that was annoying. It would have been nice if something extra was thrown in for free, especially since it was late. Frankly, none of the sides are even close to being as good as the wedges. They give their main competitors a run for their money with their chicken sandwiches in size and flavor, and I don't find myself sitting in the drive thru for 15 to 20 minutes like I do at other fast food locations in Castro valley. So I've patronized this particular KFC for approximately 5 years and as long as I was able to go inside to order there wasn't a hassle with making corrections to my order and I never ordered from the drive through window. I suppose COVID had something to do with closing the dinning room. However, it should not have affected the quality of the cooking if anything it should be better. I was very disappointed with the transaction I asked for a wing leg and thigh. Not only did I not get the correct order but the replacement order was worse in fact they took one piece out and I ended up with all short thighs looking the same as the first order. The drive line was growing behind me so I drove home only to find a mess that wasn't fit for consumption and I put the box with the food in the garbage. The clerk stood at the window but hid from directly facing me. I am done with this particular location. This order could definitely have been much better as well as the customer service. Don't have photo I dropped the complete box of food in my garbage can before entering my house. Other locations are so much better this was the closest to my home. Ok, KFC is KFC... it is what you expect from KFC. I was jonesing for some fried chicken and I was being lazy so I had it delivered. Everything was good except they put buffalo sauce on my wings instead of on the side like I requested. I really prefer my breaded fried chicken crispy not soggy. Cold, hard, inedible chicken bites. Went here to pickup original recipe boneless bites for my preschooler and used the drive through. Time was a little after 6pm, prime dinner rush. Two cars in front in the drive through, from order to window about ten minutes. Paid and waited several mins, order was not ready. Eventually, window person came back to say our bites were being cooked fresh, about five mins would we like strips instead? I declined and said we'd wait. She went away for several more mins and returned with a bag saying she had been mistaken, here was our order. I asked if they'd given us the old bites? She ignored the question. I asked a second time, she again ignored the question and gave me the bag and shut the window. Five mins later was home and checked the food. Totally Inedible. So hard I could barely bite into them, let alone a 2and 5 yr old. The bites were cold, hard, and dry. What is worse than the sale of old, dead food, was the deliberate deception by the cashier who had emphasized "fresh" bites for our order. Worst KFC ever. My fiancé did not get her cookie last time. No condiments, or anything. Minor issues. Tonight, I asked for all thighs bucket, a mini lemon cake (they even asked specifically if I wanted the mini and I said yes), and a big box meal that comes with popcorn chicken, Chicken tenders, and sides, including mashed potatoes and gravy. I mentioned the lack of a cookie last time and she apologized. Didn't offer one or do anything about it. Oh well. They gave me and charged me for a large lemon cake (I decided to not complain, it would get eaten). As I was driving away and checking to see if they charged me for that, I saw they put on the receipt "no sauce", but I was never asked about sauces for the popcorn shrimp. Oh well, not worth driving back. Then I reached into the bag to get a piece of crispy skin while I drive the meal home. That was odd.. That felt like a drumstick. At the red light I turned on a light and looked inside. It was all tiny drumsticks. I was halfway home, but there was no way I was paying $15 for 8 little drumsticks. I went back. Time and gas wasted, i told them it was all drumsticks and that I hadn't been asked about sauce and got a new bucket that looked like thighs and sauces. Good job! I get home and tell my fiancé who is in bed from a surgery, why I was delayed, and began to unpack the meal. She opens the box and there is no mashed potatoes or gravy, and in my bucket there are some breasts instead of thighs, something one must take chicken out and examine with greasy hands, not something to be done in a car. Of course, there goes a portion of our evening where our kids are with grandparents and she is recovering. Back to the store, and never again. Do no go here, but if you must, check and DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ORDER. Additional note, foot tastes good. Attitude of employed is good. Service time is good. If order was perfect it would have easily been 4-5 stars. But the inept staff is enough that my evening is ruined, I wish I had never gone there, and it deserves no stars. read more

I went tonight to order dinner for my family. Spent over 60 dollars. Not only was i disrespected and rushed through the drivethru after telling them i need a moment to get everyone's order( mind you there was no one else in the drive through at all the whole time we were there) the person who took our order who seemed to be the manager kept not understand what i said as i spoke clearly and repeated myself multiple times. After having him repeat the order back i had order a mac and cheese and three of the half gallon drinks and two chicken littles. The mac and cheese was half empty. Let alone i order a famous bowl and my sister is alergic to corn, he was told that. He said it back to me. And again. It had corn so she couldnt eat it was lucky enough i noticed there was corn in it before i handed it to her. I work at starbucks and understand messing up orders but its not right to mistreat and disrespect a costumer the way he did and to ruin a orfer this badly when they were no were nesr closing and had no one else coming through the drive through so no need to rush me out. Came here for some drive thru food, there were two cars in front of me and service went quickly which is always great for drive thru. They let me know ahead of ordering that if I wanted chicken it would be a 25 minute wait since they ran out - all good, it happens and I wasn't planning on ordering their chicken pieces. I got the number 7 meal, it's a sandwich, popcorn chicken, fries and a side. I asked for my side which is usually coleslaw to be mac and cheese. I came home, took care of some stuff, and then i unwrapped my food. After a couple bites I realized my side isn't here. I was really looking forward to my mac and cheese and the meal is supposed to come with a side. I understand if I asked for mac and cheese and accidentally got the regular coleslaw, but I just didn't get any side. Went to get some chicken wings yesterday with my daughter. We asked for 2 combos which usually comes with a biscut, at least at all of the other kfc's that we go to. The manager refused to give us the biscuts and very rudely told us that we would have to pay for the biscuts that is supposed to come with the meal if we wanted them. We will never go back to that so called business. The food comes out cold and I'm pretty sure the reason they don't give receipts is so people don't know how much they are overcharged. No receipt in the bag or anywhere. If you want some good, hot, delicious finger licking good chicken, stay away from this place. The Sprite was good. So that deserves a star. read more

My previous review of this KFC was when it was run by a bunch of teenagers who didn't do there job. The food was always bad and missing items. And terrible customer service. And the last few times I've been here over the last 6months to a year this place has greatly improved. The food is way better, the place isn't run by teenagers anymore. Once again they were completely out of what I wanted (wings), and went with a chicken breast (all they had was original). After quite a wait and seeing others waiting a very long time, my husband got our order which was two very greasy chicken breast that were falling out of the box because of all the grease that was sitting on the bottom. WHOA....the other reviewers are pretty damn harsh on a KFC! really people, it's KFC, not the Carnelian room! I actually stopped by here before going to a party to pick up a 20 piece original recipe chicken only...I also got a 2 piece breast meal for my hubby and was a walk-in. We were the only customers at the time and the cashier was so nice and helpful. I was going to buy the wings, but she suggested the full size pieces because of how small the wings were and the price was cheaper for them, too. My hubbies chicken breasts were DD sized! HUGE ;^) and his side dishes of mashies and gravy and wedge fries were hot and tasty! The cashier also threw in a free large drink! Now that's customer service!
