The male employee went to take out the trash by the front door only to drop garbage and leak some ink liquid from the garbage to the back door. The same employee came out, wiped 2 tables then walked right by the liquid and pepper/napkin on the floor. Tables were not cleaned. Bathroom had a large puddle of water that should have been cleaned up, at least there was a wet floor sign. Lastly, our food was late, as were the rest of the patrons before and after us. If compared to In-N-Out, the double double vs double char, hands down to In-N-Out. The chicken club was tasty and the bread was nicely toasted and buttered. The portobello char had a good bite from the mushroom. Tempura green beans have always been a favorite from long ago and still remains the same. I would go back just for the green beans. Downside was one of the only two things I odered wasn't available and there was no way to have known, BUT, service saved the day. The husband and I enjoy the burgers and sides at Habit Burger. The onions rings are yummy (hint- order them extra crispy) and their ranch dressing is great. Ordering on the app is nice because you can just walk in and pick up your items- just make sure to double check your order is right before leaving. Sometimes my ranch is missing which isn't a big deal but I really like it so I am sad when it isn't in the bag. They have good seasonal offerings- please bring back the asparagus salad! My husband and I actually love coming here and I'm actually surprised that the Yelp rating is so low. I always get the portabella char burger with a side of sweet potato fries, and my husband and I will usually share 1 drink. Honestly, big fan that we can leave out of here under $25 for 2 people, especially since it feels like even McDonald's and taco bell are getting more expensive these days. It's our way of tricking ourselves into eating at a "real-ish restaurant" but not breaking the bank. I don't typically tip if I am standing when I order. Pros: - I like the self-serve order kiosk when you walk in, great for an introvert. I like that you can add your phone number and it can just text you when your food is ready. - It's a great burger. I don't feel gross afterwards they I would after other fast food, and it's a decent portion. I'm obviously not STUFFED, so there's room for dessert or a drink after at boba bliss close by. - I've never had to wait an extremely long time for food, but I always dine-in, so I can't speak to if you're in a rush. - While it is a pretty busy area and you might have to park kind of "far," I do appreciate that there's a lot of nearby parking lots available that you can quickly walk from. Haven't been to a Habit burger in ages so when some friends suggested this, we jumped at it. It was packed on a Saturday noontime, which is a good sign already. Loved the outdoor seating which we preferred. Went up to order and were given a buzzer which makes us super easy. Just sat outside for about 10 mins and got buzzed. I live that they now have Impossible burger as an option. Their own vege sandwich was good but Impossible is better. We also got ours lettuce-wrapped with a thick bunch of fresh lettuce, with cheese, and a side of portabella mushrooms. Yum!!! Oh and we got sweet potato fries and tempura green beans. All amazing! I visited this place on May 5th and they forgot my chicken club. I didn't feel like making the trip back out there so I called the restaurant for a credit and since they don't offer credits, they directed me to customer service. Customer service was closed when I called so the answering service for Habit took down my information and emailed Megan at customer service about my situation. She emailed me back and offered me coupons but I don't want coupons. I want my reimbursement for the chicken club, the tip and tax that I paid. Today is May 8th and I have yet to hear back from Megan with customer service regarding my reimbursement. This will definitely be the last time I visit this establishment. I placed two curbside orders and received terrific service. I only have one recommendation for the Managers: add stickers on the box for custom orders. I had to search through the food to determine which was which when I got home, and my friend was annoyed about someone rummaging in his meal. Do better next time by marking the orders in the future with a pen or sticker so we know how to tell the food apart. I don't usually patron The Habit and now I remember why. In a place where burgers/sandwiches are in abundance, you have to step up your game if you're going to charge these prices and be competitive. I order the steak sandwich, the grilled chicken sandwich and the Santa Barbara something. NONE of them had flavor of their own. The steak sandwich was touch and chewy and literally just tasted like BBQ sauce. The chicken sandwich was not flavorful at all and the chicken piece was so thin, it was sad. The burger was not good. I was hoping for avocado slices not guacamole which is what the consistency tasted like. The bread on all 3 sandwiches were soggy and fell apart as we went to bite them. Based on this experience they should not be charging $9 a sandwich. In a place where we can go anywhere for a good sandwich or burger, step it up Habit. 1. When ordering meals for pick-up they don't make your beverages. They slide cups, rim side down, across a filthy wet counter of various spilled liquids. Even though they tell you the order is ready for pick-up. They do not give you clean cups. They walk off. 2. Cashier walks away from till in the process of opening at register to drag paper bag full of food across wet and dirty counter. Customer has to move the food out of the wet spilled liquid. 3. Next employee drags the food bag once again across the dirty wet counter. Seriously. Again, point out the liquid. Second employee notified and does absolutely nothing to clean up the mess. 4. They don't have the drinks ordered. They don't tell you. You ask and they tell you they are all out for the day. It's not even noon. Seriously a joke. I've been dining here periodically since they opened. Overall, my experience has been good in the past. Today my coworker and I ordered lunch through DoorDash to have delivered to our work address. She got the chicken club and I got the crispy chicken sandwich plus onion rings and tempura green beans. The sides and my crispy sandwich came as expected and tasted good. Unfortunately, my coworker's sandwich was not so good. The avocado on the sandwich was completely brown/inedible. With that being said, she couldn't eat the sandwich.
