I only ever order the Chicken Pot pie meal. It's been $5 for at least a couple of years. This past year it went up about 60ish cents, which isn't too bad. BUT the last 2 times I went, the pie tin was barely even half filled & the usually "crispy all over top" crust was sunken & getting VERY soggy. There were 2 small bites of chicken in the entire thing - the amount of chicken has been decreasing over the past few months. Horrible experience! Went on an evening where NONE of the outside lights were working. Parked and went inside to order. There were 2 people waiting on food and 2 people waiting to order. I could tell they were already frustrated so I went into the drive thru as it seemed to be moving. I used my phone flashlight to see the menu board. My order was taken quickly and the line seems to be moving faster than inside. The same individuals that were inline inside were still there when I came through the drive thru. I could not believe my eyes! I went to KFC, 3 days ago it seemed like they were fully observing a COVID19 protocol; everyone wearing masks, no dining inside, etc. I went there yesterday and it was completely different. I went through the drive through and I saw the manager walking through the cooking area without a mask! Then I noticed that one of the people handling the food was doing the same! I can appreciate an individual taking a position on the mask/no mask issue. But, in a fast food, restaurant or retail environment, I'd prefer to see an all or none situation. In this case, all of the precautions that I take are negated by this kind of activity. An aside from this... The staff were friendly and the food came quickly. Inside of the restaurant was clean. The staff had the radio turned up pretty loudly though, which was distracting for my son because he loves dance music. Constantly messes up orders, if you're going through the drive-thru make sure to check your order before you leave. If you're getting it delivered, good luck as there is next to always an issue with the order. I am new to Georgetown and have always liked KFC from other locations so I decided to give this one a try even though the yelp reviews were not very good. I pull up to drive thru with no one in front of me so it's not busy. I ordered the 12 piece dinner special for $29.99 that is displayed and asked for a mix piece bucket, half of white and dark like normal. The attendant informs me they only have crispy so I agree to that and place the order then move up. I get to the window and she tells me it's going to cost $38. I didn't order anything additional only the special. She proceeds to argue that I'm confused and it's the $20 fill up I'm thinking up which I have ordered many times and it is completely different. At this point She brings over a guy to assist so I offer to drive back thru the drive thru to take a picture if I have to and he says the price upcharge is because they only have extra crispy all white meat available so this is the explanation for the additional charges. I was shocked that no one informed me at the time of ordering that I would have to pay more for no additional food and that it wasn't even what I wanted or my choice. At this point I said just forget the order and took my family dinner order to another chicken place down the road. Can't vouch for the food but the level of service is less then par. read more

Service is terrible. They never give you silverware or napkins for the drive thru. You shouldn't have to ask; EVERY place with a drive thru gives you these already! There have also been times where if you're with a group, they'll screw up at least one person's order or forget part of a meal entirely. It doesn't matter if you dine in instead because then they take forever to bring your food. I gave this place a few chances and it still hasn't changed its ways. I'm sure he offered his crispy version only to offer a popular alternative to his customers - and to avoid losing potential sales. Kentucky Fried Chicken has been trying to re-tool itself by evoking a healthier image in the popular media. The first step was to abbreviate the name - thus KFC was born. It was a good start - if consumers don't see the word "fried," perhaps it makes the product more salable in the public view. Now they offer grilled chicken (might actually be roasted, but 'tis no matter) in order to offer a less greasy - if not actually healthier - choice. Someday, KFC may take the big step & change its name to KGC - I hope not. Service at this location is quick & friendly, and my original recipe was fresh, hot, and delicious. I got horrible food. At expensive prices. 12 dollars for a 6 piece tender where it'd cost 9 at any other kfc. Their menu price even said 9. hmm... really? The tenders were hard, small, and not even lukewarm. I found this out when I got home. While the potatoe wedges I snuck while in the car seemed very hot and fresh, but overly spicy which is weird cus I've never noticed that at any other kfc either. but ok at least that was fresh. I asked an employee once a while back why they were so much more expensive and I was told its because they are near sun city and folks there have money. I have never thought of reading yelp reviews for a damn chain restaurant. After this kfc I just might. I mean I've never seen a store run so poorly. It is the night before thanksgiving and we are traveling late and stopped to get food on our way out of town. They close at 9. We are in the drive thru at 8:20. The guy taking our order has the audacity to give me attitude about them closing soon and me being in the drive thru. I asked for a number 10 and then they were out of Crispy white meat for the night, but they had it in dark meat. Okay got the dark meat. Got to the window and they could not get one thing right. One of their employees apparently had JUST dropped the last of the crispy dark meat, so was I okay with original, I said yes (even though that was literally the last choice.) It doesn't stop there, he hands me my drinks and spills one because he didn't put the lid on right, and then tells me they are out of straws.... WTF. What do y'all have?? I'm generally more of a Popeye's fan but decided to check out the hype behind this new boneless 'I ate the bones!' chicken. First of all, the menu only offers a 2 piece, a 10 piece, and something like a 14 piece. well, my wife and i only wanted to try the chicken so we ordered 4 pieces. you would have thought we ordered 4 moonrocks! after much confusion i was told my total would be $8.65...for 4 chicken tenders??? i almost told her to keep the stupid chicken but i was hungry and determined to give kfc another chance after years of abstinence. After about 5 minutes we finally get our chicken. Now i don't mind waiting if it means my food its going to be fresh and piping hot. i don't live that far away, 2 minutes maybe, so its not like it had a long time to cool down. by the time i cracked into the bag. it was....such a disappointment. room temperature, soggy, greasy, and disgusting. this is your third strike with me kfc. never again will i be tempted by your marginally clever commercials. read more

How can you give fried chicken a bad review? Here is how: Hubby decides to pick up some chicken on his way home. He goes to order a couple of extra crispy 2-piece dinners. He comes home with original recipe. He said the girl behind the counter was frustrated, confused and was flipping out. She kept messing up everyone's order. Maybe she was new? Regardless shame on KFC for having someone who cannot handle the after lunch (130pm) crowd behind the counter. Double shame for not fixing it. (Sigh) whatever, I can "deal" and choke down the original recipe. I open my 2-piece box of chicken, and yes, it is the original recipe (dammit) and yes, it is overly greasy, half soggy, and over salted. But I am hungry and will have to make do. Aaaand the chicken tastes old. Like sitting under the heat lamp, then re-fried/reheated old. (the coloring is dark, and the crust is chewy) At least the potatoes and gravy are good, and so are the biscuits. Better off going to golden chick, at least they get my order right. read more

And, last time, I sat in the drive through and although someone took the order of the person in front of me, at 7 pm, they did not speak to me. This is becoming something of a routine. Ugh. Finally someone came to the window, told me that we had been ignored by the manager and told me that they wouldn't take my order because the were having problems.
