KFC KAPOLEI is horrible. I purchased the $41 fill up meal and they didn't have biscuits or coleslaw 5:30 pm on a Sunday. Dinner time. When I asked for options the supervisor worker taking and filling orders was rude! He slammed the drive thru window twice while I was speaking to him. He was unprofessional and rude. Once upon a time KFC was the chicken that everyone compared to mom's chicken or other favorite fried chicken. It got so popular that it's gone international but, somehow their integrity for tasty chicken which started south, went way south. Their secret recipes were kept secret for such a long time. There is one secret about their tasty Chicken-Pot-Pie that has been revealed though and after finding out what it was, I gave up on KFC completely. One of there ingredients is toxic ink added to there crust. I mentioned it to their complaint hot line website and I have not heard anything from them for a week. On February 8 2021. 6pm hawaii standard time.  The only KFC in Kapolei, Hawaii We were driving home.  My elderly mother wanted kfc. I said sure mother.   The drive thru was full but the restaurant inside had no customers.  So we went in the restaurant to make the order.   I asked the food clerk. May I use the restroom key? While I was asking she answered her headset from the drive thru and took their order.  WTF, when she finished she said WHAT and again I asked for key AGAIN she took another call from the drive thru while I was asking again.  After that order was over, she again said WHAT. I asked politely May I have the key?   She said NO.  I said why is that?  She said the restrooms are closed.  I asked her. Why are they are closed?  You can use the public restroom of the shopping center which over 400 feet away. Also it was raining  I asked. Again why are your restroom closed.  She said they are just closed.    My mother was reading the menu billboard.   I looked at my hungry mother. And I said mother we are leaving.   She could tell I was upset.   So we left and NEVER again I will go to kfc. KFC in Kapolei keeps going downhill as prices go up! The last time I went there I had an issue. I can't remember what it was but there was an issue. Now today I went there and ordered the wiki meal for $7.99. I told them I wanted the leg original and the thigh extra crispy. I also asked if I could have coleslaw instead of potatoes. They said no. They couldn't substitute. Whatever! So then when I get to the window they told me they only have extra crispy legs. So I said okay make both pieces extra crispy. Then they said they only have original thighs! So totally opposite of what I wanted. So I said okay. I asked well what about some compensation since I'm not getting what I wanted. You can give me a small coleslaw. The manager said they can't do that and started talking something about white meat chicken. I couldn't hardly understand her. I just said forget it. Keep it as it is and I'll put it in my review! What a trip! Usually all businesses give the customer some compensation for satisfaction when there is a problem. Definitely not good. Customer service! Just got home after eating dine in at this KFC location and let me just start of by saying this.... HORRIBLE!!!!! I loooove chicken but there are so much better chicken places to eat besides here especially for the rip off over priced chicken, but it was convenient since my husband and I were in the area. The food was fine, Thank you Jesus!!! But the SERVICE here though... this needs A LOT of improvement. If KFC decides to keep this location open I suggest they hire BETTER workers with GOOD customer service! I specifically asked for bbq sauce when ordering and I got 2 honey mustard. I didnt mind going up to trade and ask for bbq instead so I did that. Everything was fine until my husband spilt the bbq sauce all over the table and I had to ask for another one. The same lady who gave me the bbq sauce started at me and then walked to the back and I was waiting a good 2 whole minutes until finally being helped by a different employee (mind you the drive thru had only one car and my husband and I were the only customers in the dine in area besides and elderly man). No common courtesys whatsoever (thank you, you're welcome, by have a nice night) I tell my husband this and about 20 minuetes later when I go to ask for a refill of our soda. I'm then again waiting (WERE THE ONLY CUSTOMERS NOW) I see 2 employees in the front office area on seemed to be on the phone, and the other was talking to the one on the phone. One of the employees notice I'm in the front and they go deeper into the office where I can no longer see them. 3 minuetes pass and one of them finally leaves the office only to walk right pass me and to the back. I wait patiently hoping someone may be coming a few more minutes pass and I say loud enough for at least one of the employees to here me "Excuse me" she looks over her shoulder at me then turns away and I'm waiting there another 3 minutes when the same employee that over looked me finally comes to help me. But when she does. I ask for new Ice when making the refill and she doesnt dump the old soda and when she notices I'm watching her she then dumps out all the old soda with the new ice she was planning to serve back to me, and makes me the soda new. I say thank you and she goes "yup" LOL. No wonder nobody comes to this KFC anymore HORRIBLE EMPLOYEES read more

I usually don't like to right bad reviews but after eating at 2 different KFC's (Kapolei and Moanalua) and ordering the famous bowls with chicken wings. I've noticed the wings are of the miniature versions, you'd think that a place that specializes in chicken would have at least have decent size wings. I went in with my family, kind of tourists being from California, and thought we were getting a good deal on our family meal. 8 piece meal, $16, not bad right? Wrong! Luckily there was a "special" for adding biscuits and an extra side for $5 more. Turns out, Potato Wedges isn't covered in the sides and you have to pay extra here too! This place is also a "free refill" place... notice there is no s at the end of refill, because you only get one refill on your soda. If you are with your parents that are senior citizens, don't bother asking for a senior special drink or a discount. At "normal" KFCs you can also customize your chicken like asking for more thighs and drumsticks. You guessed it! NOT HERE! You want more thighs, FEE! Oh well, at least we'd get 4 thighs and 4 drumsticks... so we thought! They gave us 5 legs and 3 thighs, and I guess you can say, I was done arguing with the stingy and greedy Asian owners. Way to make our race look bad guys! Our meal came out to $26, and we ordered waters as our drinks... oh and despite the signs, they DO NOT accept American Express. I've been to this KFC a few times. I used to live in Kapolei. So when I was craving fried chicken it was my go-to place. I've never had a bad experience. The place has always been clean, the food has always been hot and fresh and they have never messed up my order. They are always friendly and professional too. Personally, I'm not a huge 'fast food' person, but whenever I am in Kapolei and I want something quick or I want chicken, I go here. The key to the restroom is hanging on the wall just to the left of the counter. read more

Fresh Hot Fried Chicken, Hot buttery biscuits, and for a good price! Finally didn't order a family meal like usual. Customer service was really friendly, with a smile, and most of all they were quick. Quick because the place was empty inside the restaurant. A lot of parking space as well. My wife I went through the drive through to order. We ordered the family meal which is already over 40 bucks then I asked if they had any spicy chicken. The guy said no. My wife then pointed out the hot wings. (Idk maybe he doesn't know his own menu) but I asked if they are wet or dry, as you know some hot wings are wet with a sauce and some chicken places make a dry fried hot wing. He then said um I dont know its fried. So I said oh okay so its dry. I was then about to order that as well when he said um yeah, with the most attitude. My wife looked at my and said well that was so rude. She wanted me to just drive off and not buy from them but my kids wanted chicken so I figured I'd just keep going and forget his rude response. Yesterday my boyfriend and I went around looking for somewhere to eat in the Kapolei area before he went to work. We ended up at KFC because we have never eaten there together and we only like eating famous bowls. Visited the Kapolei restaurant for some good old Kentucky Fried Chicken that my team requested. Not all of them like dark meat so I ordered 1/2 white and 1/2 dark. Paid a high price for the order but then gotta keep them happy. Unfortunately when I got back to work they had made the order incorrectly. We only had 3 pieces of white and 9 dark. When I called to get it corrected the manager wasn't empowered to handle the incorrect order offering only to replace 3 pieces of chicken. That may have been acceptable if the shop was next door but to drive back a few miles is not acceptable. Had to send someone else out for those who didn't get their chicken and pick up from another place close by. Too bad we were all craving KFC. Second bad review I have given in a year. Management before offered for me to call and they would make it right, but I did not. That was not the point. I want them to get better. But lord, they didn't get the least bit better. This time, we decided to order on line due to our last 40 minute wait for extra crispy chicken. Tried to talk my husband out of it, but he was sure the on line option would work better. So we ordered on line at 8pm. They said it would be ready at 8:21. My husband headed down and was there on time, but NOPE, not ready. He finally got it at 8:43. And they shorted the order even though we paid in advance. Thankfully he checked and realized it before he left and then he had to wait some more. For god's sake. They change an arm and and leg and can't even live up to bare minimum. KFC in Hawaii is a RIP OFF! The $5 fill up meal on the mainland is $7 here. Sure, things cost more here, but not that much. On the mainland (just returned from visit to the Oregon, Idaho, and Washington), you can substitute any of the side dishes for the gross mashed potatoes that come with the Fill Up, but not here, Must take the mashed potatoes. They taste like the stuff we used to make relief maps with when we were kids. All the side are the same price, so I don't get it. Is it just a "rule" to piss off the customers? Guess I should have checked this page BEFORE we went to pick up chicken for supper. We don't have KFC often but enjoy it on occasion. We went with the 10 pc chicken and just a family size wedges. I paid no attention to what they were putting in the boxes as I am pretty trusting and the young girl at the counter was very pleasant. When we got home, our 10 pc chicken consisted of 7 legs and 3 thighs! At the very least they could have done half and half!! I do know that chickens have equal numbers of legs and thighs. I also know that they have other body parts. Sure, they sell the wings separately but what about breasts! Then I opened the "family size" wedges to find it was about 2/3 full. If they had to use the last of the wedges, they could have been honest with me and said they didn't have enough for a family size.....I would have appreciated the honesty. OR....they could have asked if I would like to wait while they made some fresh ones. I was very disappointed and will never go back to KFC in Kapolei again. Makes me think twice about going to ANY KFC on this island again. It's too bad....some simple gestures here would have made this a much better experience. read more
