For the past few weeks, KFC has had a special on Hot & Spicy Wings at $4.99 for 8 wings. Every time I order this, and I order them a lot, I receive something different in the box. Either there are 8 winglets and no drums; 7 winglets and 1 drum; 6 winglets and 2 drums, or 6 winglets and 3 drums!!!!! I'm certain that there is supposed to be 4 winglets and 4 drums in this order...because that makes sense, but only ONE TIME did I ever receive 4 winglets and 4 drums in an. order. This was the worst meal I have ever received from KFC. We had just returned from a long trip and didn't want to cook. We thought KFC sounded good. WRONG. Since you can't put negative stars, I guess one will have to do. Ordered grilled chicken today. It was the oldest, rubber chicken I've ever been served at any restaurant. Turned around and took it straight back. They didn't see a problem with it. Cold hard rubber chicken must be what they usually serve then. I eat at kfc in Roseville at least three times a week and have never been served old hard chicken. The guy even told me they cook it fresh every morning.... Well it was 1 in the afternoon. So..... Super unhappy with this place. I saw that it went for a renovation recently and when I saw some coupons come to my home, indicating the renovations were complete and offering some good deals on my favorite and only KFC I usually eat...GRILLED. When I ordered grilled, the server kind of laughed at me and said something to the effect of "If we offered grilled, it would sit on the shelf and not be sold". I showed her the coupon (see photo) clearly showing an offering of grilled at their location and she shooed me off. If this is a corporate coupon, don't offer it at your location if you don't offer what is on the coupon. Poor quality control in advertising. I had a chicken bowl in South Lake Tahoe about a month ago. It was delicious. Came to this location, ordered the same thing. What I received was not edible. It had an inch layer of saucy goop on top that was apparently the spicy sauce. But it was like a goop. I lost my appetite and didn't even eat. Save your time and money. This location is pathetically awful. I always end up with something missing or disgusting old food. But recently the line has been drawn. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich meal and the piece of chicken had like goopy old bbq sauce and the chicken was so foul it smelled horrible, I genuinely believed they handed me a sandwich out of the trash. Their system is to hand you change in a wad not counted back to you and a second person immediately shoves your food order in your face and they both run away! OK so fast food chicken is ehh altogether in my opinion. I actually prefer Popeye's but I am giving this KFC a 4 star due to their attentive service. The food is exactly what I expect but the service is where this joint really shines. I am on weight watchers. I know, I know, a foodie on weight watchers, ha! Well, on a few occasions I have asked for more detailed nutrition info and they have been helpful and quick to respond instead of just mindlessly shrugging at me. The are very quick to get your food out. Every experience I have had here is fast friendly and efficient. A few times the cashiers have recognized us and made us feel welcome. Common for KFC this is really an elevated experience. We will be back again for sure. read more

I am giving 1 star not because of quality. We ordered online from here which we frequently do. Our absolute favorite is the popcorn chicken. We ordered 8 large boxes. Upon delivery we had 8 super SMALL boxes consisting of 5-7 pieces per box. For roughly 7-8 dollars per large box this equals a 1.00 or more per nugget. We order the same thing all the time and this has never happened. I am floored at how ripped off I feel. Our order (which did include other items) was over 120.00 and yet people didn't get enough to eat. If they are scaling back in what the get this should be listed so people can order more if needed. It seems like they were just trying to spread out what they had left in 8 small boxes. I would also complain about yet again not getting enough dipping sauce but it was a non issue as we barely got any chicken. One box had FOUR pieces and two hard kernels of skin. Thankfully DoorDash refund us the items but we were still out taxes, delivery fees, tip, etc... and of course dinner. I am so disappointed in the lack of care. I'm a regular customer at this location, at least once or twice a week. I've always been a huge fan of this location until today. I ordered 2 famous bowl meals that I realized were both missing gravy by the time I got home. My boyfriend wasn't willing to wait to drive back to eat, but I myself didn't pay for a famous bowl without gravy. I had already added siracha to the bowl (which is really good if you haven't tried it) by the the time I realized the gravy was missing. Mixed it all around to ensure it was missing, because they've never messed up like this before. Drove back with my bowl and my receipt and instead of creating a good experience to fix my bowl, they made it an ordeal. They took back my bowl (clearly not being COVID safe) and continued to question me telling me there's gravy in the bowl. I wouldn't have made the drive back if there was gravy in the bowl. I just got off work and wanted to pick up something quick. What they thought was gravy was the siracha I had added. They told me to pull over to wait for my order and I waited. While they served everyone else in the drive through, I continued to wait for my bowl for about 10 minutes. I won't be going back to this location. You've definitely lost me as a customer. read more

I am in a vicious cycle of KFC. I just now realize that I keep going around and around, eating at one KFC, then the next. I'm not a fast foodie, but sometimes I get a hankering for this stuff, and KFC is always a good value. My most recent experience was at this KFC location last Sunday. Needed a bite to eat on the way between work and visiting my mother-in-law, so we stopped at this location on Madison. It hit the spot, hot wings and potato skins. Salty and fried! My mother-in-law seemed to really enjoy hers, and she usually doesn't eat that much even at the meals I've cooked. I felt like the commercial that plays on tv, with the instrumental of "Sweet Home Alabama" playing in the background, while a family sits around the kitchen table eating KFC. This was a good KFC. However, a couple of weeks ago we stopped that the KFC in Auburn and I had a miserable experience. The menu was so confusing. All I could see was blue, red and giant pictures of fried chicken. I couldn't make heads-nor-tails of the menu items, so I just picked the Manager's Special that was advertised on a very clearly written red and white sign placed next to the register. "Original or Extra Crispy?" I said "Original" and ordered a soda since the Manager's Special didn't include a drink. (So... how special is a special if is doesn't include the drink? If it's really special, it should include a drink.) My better half ordered his food, we paid, I went to the bathroom, and when I came out, My Better Half was happily eating and my food was missing. I went to the counter and asked for my food, and they're all like "You didn't order food." And I'm like, "Yes, I did." And the manager had to come over and sort out nothing other than the fact that the girl working the register somehow instantaneously forgot our conversation about original or extra crispy and didn't ring up my order, and thus no food prepared. I said fine, I'll pay for it and whatev, because I was just hungry. They seemed to want to argue with me over nothing, and I was extremely irritated. In fact, I have no problem with this location - the girl who took my order and served me at the drive-thru window today was actually very pleasant and polite. No complaints about the service itself. See, I used to love KFC as a child. I remember the food always tasting so good, better than anything mom could've made for dinner! However, over the past five years or so, their quality has gone down tremendously. Today I had a $5 fill-up, which had chicken tenders, potato wedges, a biscuit, a cookie, and a drink.
