Wife went on a Sunday evening so we didn't have to cook. ORdered a bucket of Original Recipe, Corn (not on a stick), mac n cheese, mach potatoes and gravy. She gets to the window, and the womna say "it's a 25 minute wait for original". how do you not know you have NO original recipe? So she gets half grilled and extra crispy. Been to this KFC maybe a dozen times. Never had consistent experience here. Out of the dozen times I've been here, I only had perfect fried chicken once. On one occasion, the chicken was so soggy, none of the coating stayed on the chicken. There were even pink juice running from the thighs. I even opened the cover to the bucket on my 2 min drive home. I then called the manager, and told him that the chicken was inedible and was told that I should have opened the top to t he bucket and that the only thing they could do is exchange out the uneaten chicken. I've been to this KFC five times and have yet to have a decent experience. The other day some teenage employee begged me to change my order to extra crispy after I had ordered original. This was at the window already. He said "it'll be like ten minutes" I said I had time, he continued to whine saying they were all backed up. There was one car behind me and all I ordered was a twelve piece boneless original recipe. I HATE extra crispy, it's garbage. So then after asking me to order something else for like five minutes, he said he would throw in an extra mashed potatoes for my troubles. I literally said "fine just let me get outta here". He comes back and speedily hands me the bag, as if to imply he was rushing around. Then I pull up and check the bag and instead of potatoes he gave me an apple pie thing? Dont get me wrong I love apple pie but those are terrible. So in conclusion I paid 18.86 and didn't even get the chicken I wanted. It's unfortunate that the Temecula area is limited to one poorly functioning KFC. I recently moved here and the line at the KFC back in the south bay is somewhat similar to an In-N-Out drive thru line; packed. This KFC has the worst for accuracy in the drive-thru that I have ever experienced in any fast food place. In the 8+ or so times I've been there, they have gotten every single order wrong. Forgetting sides, wrong items or putting in the wrong style chicken. I have called once I get home to notify them of the incorrect items, they offer to come back and replace it, but I'm already home, 10 minutes away. Forget it! It's hard to believe that they have a consistent track of getting it wrong, different people, and still wrong. I don't check the items when I'm there because I feel like I need to hurry because there's people behind me and I don't want to spill anything. I have given up going there. read more

Have you ever been in a business and wondered, "How the Hell is this place still open?" Temecula KFC is that kind of place. I would rate it zero stars if I could. The times I've been in here it's always "not so clean". Not dirty per se, i.e. trash strewn about, tables dirty, etc. But not clean by any stretch either. Like someone did a half-assed job of cleaning - just getting rid of the big stuff. The food is nothing like I remember KFC for - maybe it's because they use the same fryers for the fish they serve with Long John Silvers? In fact, I'm pretty sure the other KFCs I've been to have been better. And the service! I can't imagine a more apathetic crew. Maybe not all of them but the ones I've encountered seem like they could care less. And I have yet to see a manager in action here - unlike other fastfood restaurants where you see the manager hustling with the rest of the employees. This place definitely doesn't survive on repeat business. It's like it's on autopilot with a slow decent to a final crash. read more

My wife and I have always loved kfc and this location has never been near the best ones we've ate at. The service is good and the employees are courteous and helpful. But the quality of the food here has really not kept up with other locations, since this is a dual site with long john silvers. I decided to try the fish. Bad idea, it is worse than the chicken, it was over cooked to the point of being dried out and it had to have been fried in old grease because it was a dark brown and had burnt oil smell to it. I do not understand why this restaurant can not be consistent with giving us the original recipe chicken. It is hit and miss there. We get original chicken twice a month and sometimes it is that. Tonight I think we got flavorless lightly coated fried chicken from some other recipe not the Tasty original. This KFC is also a Long John Silver that barely carries any Long John Silver items. I went here around 6 p.m. tonight and even though the menu shows LJS chicken, they no longer serve it. Don't ask for breadsticks instead of hush puppies, because they don't serve those. Don't ask for fries because they don't have those, they only have potato wedges. The fish was soooo greasy that the grease ran down the side of our mouths as we bit into it. And for goodness sake, don't get the apple turnovers because they sat under the heat lamp so long the apples dried up. Oh, and I almost forgot, the LJS family meals come in a KFC bucket regardless of what you order, which means soggy, greasy, stuck together fish. read more

We've been going here a couple of years now. Prices have gone up, and the quality has gone way down. A couple of times they did not put the gravy lids on right and it spilled all over. A couple of times our order has been wrong. But this last time was the worst. The chicken tasted like it was old, or cooked in nasty oil. The dinner rolls were hard and didn't taste like normal. Once i finally got to the register, I ordered a combo of chicken with Mac and cheese (also included a drink). This review is on the Long John Silver's portion of the restaurant. My husband ordered the fish and shrimp, I ordered the chicken planks. First off the fries were cold and stale, as well as the hush puppies. The chicken planks were very soft almost mushy on the inside (blech). The coleslaw was somewhat bubbly and very runny. My 2 year old got the side of mac n' cheese $2 for a tiny portion of old nasty food that even he wouldn't eat. So disgusting! I like KFC and I like their pricing. Their chicken is pretty much a "standard" for Standard Fried Chicken in my book. Their mashed potatoes are great... the texture is so awesome and it's probably the gravy that puts it over the top. The mac and cheese is awesome and they probably have the best mac n' cheese in the fast food game. Their biscuits and honey are always bomb. I got the fried chicken and the grilled chicken. When I got home, everything was soggy. My fried chicken AND my grilled chicken. Weird, right? Very not appetizing. ...and that's why I think Popeye's is better. The chicken is ALWAYS good and crispy and even better -- tastes better. KFC is my "chicken should at the very least be this good" standard while Popeye's is my "going above and beyond regular chicken" standard. Makes all the difference. read more

I went by yesterday through their drive-thru and lo-behold they screwed up my order, now I understand we are ALL human, mistakes happen ALL the time. However, in my attempt to allow them to rectify their mistake, I called and the person I spoke to simply offered to have me come in so that my credit card could get credited, rather than offering some type of complementary gesture as a token of apology for the HUGE inconvenience! Worst service ever!!! Ordered food, 15 minutes later they said they didn't have enough hot wings and had to wait another 8 minutes to fry up. Once those were done they told us they didn't have original recipe chicken breasts from when we ordered in the very beginning. Why they didn't check is a mystery to us. I had a very terrible experience. And this is not the first time. I tried to give them another chance but this is it!! When I arrived, no one at counter. It was maybe 3 minutes later that someone showed up to take my order. I made my order for one of their chicken sandwiches. No receipt was given but I figured it wouldn't take long. But that was the problem. Other people that came behind me received their order according to their number. Since I was not given a receipt I had no idea which was my number. I had been sitting at my booth for maybe 15 minutes when one of the young male employees asked me if I had gotten my food? I told him no. Meanwhile this same employee is asking customers in the lobby if they mind taking a survey. He even asked if I wanted to give survey. I told are you serious. Finally, after another 5 minutes goes by, I go to the counter, that male employee tells me they are just making my food. I looked at him, like really? I told them I wanted a refund. They called for their female manager who was in the back. She came and tried to give me my food for free. I told her sorry, I am very hungry and this experience was horrible!! She gave me my refund. The employee said he didnt know he just came back from break. The woman next to me asked to speak to the manager and the employee said no he's washing dishes. The other two customers started to get upset as all the orders were wrong. I just worked my last 12 hour shift and was exhausted. My order looked somewhat ok so I took it and left. KFC + Long John Silvers is like a dream come true cuz I love both! But yeah, they forgot our order of wedges but that's fine. We'd just finished a 5k and were famished. A staff named Howard deserves a mention cuz he's so upbeat, even though we were asking for this and that he kept up the good service. I also like that they have napkins at every table and didn't charge us for extra gravy. It wasn't a busy day and they gave us a small sample of onion rings - great idea to promote new products. I've come in for an early lunch and there are no lids for the cups, the tops of the condiment bottles are dirty with caked on sauce.
