Not original very crispy overdone chicken that was very dry
    J.R. W.

Not good at all. KFC used to be really great with the original recipe. Or an original recipe and got something that was overdone and crispy. Pretty awful.

This is reality (Not even close)

06/25/21 - Chicken wars continue as the quest for the best $3.99 chicken sandwich continues. Popeyes started this and everyone jumped into the competition. Sorry to say KFC isn't even close. The sandwich lacked breading & was way too salty. I asked for a sandwich straight out of the fryer. What I got wasn't even hot even though they told me it came straight out of the fryer. I'm not sure what happened to KFC, but they are sadly lacking way behind. Popeyes & Burger Kings Chicken sandwiches are both outstanding. My nephew is comparing this to Roost, but you can't compare a $3.99 sandwich to one that costs $11.19. That's like comparing a Big Mac to Au Chavel like night and day.

$5 fillup with 2 extra sides. Cole slaw was frozen. It was a regrettable meal.

Had two extra sides with the $5 fillup, which comes with: 2 pieces of chicken (leg and thigh), drink, biscuit, side, and cookie. Pretty good deal, right? Unfortunately the meal was regrettable. I don't have the highest standards for fast food, but the chicken was extra greasy, and my cole slaw was frozen. The cashier was super friendly, but I was slightly annoyed that the menu said $1 for extra side, but that means one extra side. I was charged regular price for the 2nd extra side. Not a big deal, but it would've been appreciated if the verbiage was clearly spelled out. The restaurant is combined with Taco Bell, and I will say it was well stocked on condiments and utensils and has a clean interior.

Coupons for greasy very small unhealthy portions

All Kentucky fried has gone down hill with quality of chicken they serve i will not eat this again til they squeeze the grease off the tiny pieces they give you for the money

Stopped here around 9pm and got the Famous KFC Bowl. It was amazing and the drive thru worker was real nice. Great experience!

Nashville chicken tenders were super salty, greasy, and not spicy at all. Also they were overcooked covered in soggy pickles.

First time coming here. I've passed by for over 2.5 years and finally decided to grab dinner…read more I actually like this place - the menu is simple. The space and seating is large enough. I have no complaints. I ordered the beef tallow 10 piece wing which is automatically dry rub as seasoning - my fave! I upgraded to add in a fry and beverage. The wings and mild seasoning were great. The fries were hearty and not greasy at all. I would've asked for a more crisp fry but that's it. My only "complaint" would be to give two sauces for a 10 piece wing.

You can order different levels of spiciness. If you don't like spicy chicken, order the 1st level. It's not spicy at all. I order level 2. I've tried level 3 and it was too spicy for me. I find level 2 to be perfect, has the kick I enjoy, but not overly so and blow out my taste buds. We went when they had their $5 hot chicken sandwiches in honor of National Hot Chicken day. Not surprisingly, it was very busy. They still put out good food and EXCELLENT service. Everyone was so nice and they all handled the flow of people very well. I was so impressed. One of the managers, came around to the tables to tidy up and check in on all the guests. I have to remember to come more often!

First time at Portillo's and this Chicago hot dog institution earned the hype. My coworkers here…read moresaid if I liked this, they've had better, but Portillo's set the bar high enough that I doubt it. Something about being in Chicago and taking hot dogs this seriously just hits different. I went three times to work through the menu properly. The jumbo hot dog might be the best hot dog I've ever had. Everything came together: the sport peppers, the snap of the dog itself, and a poppy seed bun I'd never had on a hot dog before. It just worked. The chili dog was a letdown by comparison. The hot dog itself tasted flat and boring under the chili, which is a shame after how good the jumbo was. The cheeseburger is underrated. Good char, really tasty, and the Comeback sauce pulled it all together. I got the fries too, which were pretty good dipped in the Comeback sauce, though nothing to really write home about. Shakes were a mixed bag. The chocolate shake was excellent. I actually meant to order a regular Dr Pepper shake, but ended up with the Dr Pepper cake shake by mistake. Too many flavors and textures fighting each other in one cup, not for me. Heads up if you order shakes here: the large size is genuinely large. Still, this is my go-to spot in Chicago now. If you're visiting, you can't go wrong.

Portillo's in Northbrook is a classic example of an authentic American success story. Walking in,…read moreyou cannot help but appreciate the history on the walls. The photos from the 1960s, showing the owners then and now, give the place a deep sense of tradition and pride in building something from the ground up. The memorabilia throughout the restaurant is fantastic, and there is plenty of space if you are coming in with a large group. The food lives up to the reputation. The Chicago dog is fantastic and fully authentic, loaded with the right peppers, onion, and pickle. The only minor bump was that we ordered to dine in, but the order came out in to-go packaging. Wrapped up like that, the steam got to the bun and softened it a bit more than if it had been served open on a tray, which took a little away from the texture. Even with that, it was still a very good dog. For the side, ordering the fries well-done on the self-service kiosk is a huge plus. They came out crisp and tasty, though in the fast-casual fry hierarchy, Culver's still holds the crown. Overall, it is a great spot with rich local heritage, generous seating, and solid staple items. I will definitely be back.

The meat was perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor, and the burrito was loaded and satisfying from the first bite to the last. We also tried the nacho plate with chorizo, and it was just as good. The chorizo had amazing flavor and paired perfectly with the fresh toppings and crispy chips. The setup is simple and casual--you order at the counter and then take your food to your table--but the service really stood out. The employees were very, very nice and made the whole experience even better. All around, El Famous Burrito is one of the most recommended places around for authentic Mexican food. Great food, friendly people, and a place I'll definitely be coming back to.

There was barely any rice, and the shrimp tasted like it was boiled or possibly pre-cooked shrimp that was just reheated. I tried adding sauces, limes and salt but there was not helping the horrible texture and taste. I was really excited to try the shrimp, so it was a big letdown. On a positive note, the steak burrito my husband ordered was actually great. Unfortunately, my meal really fell short in comparison. I also didn't receive the pickled carrots and jalapeños that were supposed to come with the order, and the side sauces were extremely small. Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially since I had been looking forward to the shrimp bowl and the prices were higher than average.
