Yesterday I had Secret Recipe Fries. I've got to say they were one of the most shocking tasting fries in the world. You goto KFC for the chicken and the coleslaw in my opinion anyways. I have gone to this location twice, in order to be fair. Well both times sucked! The employees are great and treated me well so that was good. The food however.... OMG worst chicken ever. To be fair I'm not even sure it was chicken. The legs were easily identifiable as pigeon legs, since they were so small. The meat was tough as wood and it looked as though a raccoon gnawed on it before it was cooked. The thighs had no meat on them. I mean there was maybe enough to make up a nugget on each one. The worst part.... The 11 herbs and spices were not on any of the chicken pieces. It was seriously like gas station chicken but worse... actually that would be insulting gas station chicken! My biscuit was larger than the pieces of chicken but it had more moisture in it than the chicken did. The coleslaw which I love at KFC was bitter and I couldn't quite figure out why so I didn't even get to enjoy that. The paste like consistency of the mashed potatoes ... I get it that's KFC and I understand so not really going to comment there, but I can't stress how disappointed I was in that damn chicken. Stopped by the drive through today and after leaving immediately noticed food missing, turned around in the pouring rain, parked went inside and wAs greeted by a less than apologetic Erica. After a 5 min wait while our other food got cold she returned handed me our bag without a word and turned away. I asked the guy who had helped us at the drive through to please check bags before delivering them, rude Erica says " well you can check in the bag also" witch obviously I did to realize food was missing. I have teens and understand it's a different world these days but to have disrespectful young kids talking to customers this way is unacceptable. Should have read the latest reviews before going there tonight. So I see they are under new ownership. On Monday's they have had a special which my husband went and ordered tonight only to find out they no longer offer it in Woodland. They offer it in Davis and Sacramento but not Woodland anymore. You get 2 pieces of chicken a thigh and drumstick and our were basically bones absolutely horrible and cost almost $10 per meal. Wasn't even worth the $5 special price. Miguel is the best cook and he deserves a raise! His chicken is cooked with love and care. He truly cares about the health and well being of the customers. He should be the leader of all the head chefs everyday, not just the days he works. He fed me when my mom didn't feel like cooking. He is greatly appreciated as a person. read more

This KFC is under new management/owners and that's not a good thing. Since the new people have taken over, prices have increased a few times, but service and quality have diminished. Also, the arbitrary canceling of items, that other KFC's continue to offer, including Apple Turnovers and the one low calorie, nutritious side that was offered, Green Beans. With the previous management/owners, there was always someone at the front counter ready to take an order, but with the new people, more often than not, you must ask loudly for someone to please come up front. Sometimes you're heard, sometimes not. They claim to have "simplified" the menu. Not for the convenience of customers, but more than likely, for the incompetent staff that couldn't understand the normal KFC menu. The previous management/owners would also honor the periodic KFC lower price promotions whenever offered, but not these people. It's sad that this KFC is being run so poorly. read more

I ordered the 12 Family Feast, it comes with 2 servings of Cole slaw, my family doesn't like Cole slaw so I asked if I can switch for Mac n cheese and potato wedges and they said that they can't that they would have to charge us so we spent $30 but got shorted because we don't like Cole slaw, and the manager Jessie said he could do nothing about it. I have eaten at many a KFC and always appreciate a solid place that can get your order correctly and is not ever very busy. I have never been told they are out of the drinks/sauce I want or that they can't accomodate my minor changes to some of the menu options. This KFC in particular always gives me two giant containers of potatoes and one giant container of gravy when I order a large mashed potatoes. It's odd because no other KFC does this but this one has consistently for the two years I have been in Woodland. Lastly, this is the only KFC I have ever seen bring back the BBQ pulled pork sandwiches (even if only for a limited time) as a manager's special. I happened to experience the worst service I've ever had at a fast food joint, i ordered the $5 fill up which came with 3 chicken tenders, but somehow they managed to miscount and had the nerve to hand me 2 pieces of chicken tenders and it was a long day my father claimed he was going to the store but never came back so this was my only source of food so i went up to one of the employees and said politely you happened to mess up the count of my chicken tenders and the employee had the audacity to look me in the eye and say im sorry sir there is nothing we can do about that and i told him cant you just go back in the kitchen and get me another piece of the chicken tenders but i guess he was bummed out from an 8 hour day so he started yelling at me and we got in an altercation so he started shoving me into the bathroom and i started resisting so my friends came in and broke the fight up and he ended up quitting and i ended up angry at the end of that so long story short dont ever go here. #PopeyesBetter read more
