Came in for a late lunch after our wonderful massage in the same strip center. Very quiet, nice ambiance. Good service, clean. Ordered wonton soup and drunken shrimp noodles. Chicken wings and sweet tea. Honestly for the price I didn't feel it was worth it I received 5 shrimps with my noodles. Everything seemed sweet. The chicken wings were not juicy at all and the chili sauce was sweet. Too much hype. I would not be coming back here but what I don't like other people might. JMHO

I'm highly disappointed with Kha Thai. As my family raved about the service and food here on 6/30. All of a sudden, I wanted to try the hype and see if it'll be the hot spot for future visits. My mom and sister loved their meals, as my mom ordered the wings with chicken fried rice and my sister tofu curry. That night when they brought it home, I had the opportunity to taste it and fell in love. I wanted more of Kha Thai, so we waited until Monday 7/1; (since they are closed on Sunday) to order again. And I have to say, this place has inconsistent cooks for various days. The consistency from 6/30 to 7/1 is a huge miss. I can't wrap my head around it or comprehend what happened. I ordered the chicken cashew with a chili jam, my sister ordered red tofu curry and my mom the same order as 6/30, but this time it looked and tasted differently. The chicken cashew with chili jam and veggies was served with old chicken bites, you can tell by how chewy, tough, and dry it is. The bites were not covered in the chili jam at all. The jam was watery and not thick how jam is supposed to be. The vegetables: broccoli, carrots and onions, were raw and not cooked down. The cashews were also raw and placed on top of the chicken. So, now I'm being served old and raw food. My sister mentioned, that her red tofu curry was missing the main tofu components. Now, how do you mess up on a dish that includes one thing and it doesn't?! And for the finale, my mom's meal; the chicken fried rice and chicken wings, it didn't contain the original shredded chicken mentioned on the menu, but came with the same old, stale, dry chicken bites that my order had. She also, didn't get the wing sauce she received the first time around. The rice was old and not freshly made. There were specks of black and brown residue in it. It tasted gummy. This restaurant has a lot of potential to be exceptional and great. As all the work put into the interior proves it. It's gorgeous inside! Money lost, food wasted, for what? A cook that can't provide consistent quality food. Such a shame, bring back the same cook on 6/30, as the food was delicious. I'm not sure what happened today 7/1: if they ran out of food or the chef didn't show up. All I do know is, I won't order again. Until this is addressed.

First and foremost I have to say this is one of the best Thai restaurants I've been to in a very long time. The manager Nari is really nice and they're doing a great job here. I almost believe the reviews here with a low ratings are fake or maybe they're from competitors because the reviews do not represent the experience we had. We had a great experience, with great customer service, and absolutely exceptional great food. I will definitely be back here soon. This is a Hidden gem in the southside of Texas. Food: We started off with fried calamari and it was really good. Very flavorful and made fresh. I had a cashew nut chicken which was exceptionally great. Full of flavor, very tasty, and fresh! The fried rice was really good as well. I'm not even big on vegetables but all the vegetables that were mixed in with the Thai cashew chicken were exceptional. My girlfriend got the pad Thai beef which was just as good as well. The beef was season to perfection, the noodles were full of flavor, I'm telling you right now this is a very great restaurant and if you're in the area I suggest you stop in. Last we got a nice dessert from Nari which was absolutely amazing. We got the fried bananas, with ice cream, sticky rice and mango. It was all exceptional and made the order. We will definitely be back here soon. Nari is a great manager you can tell she really cares about her clients and the food that her and the cooks are presenting every single day. I'm chilling right now the bad reviews are not a representation of this restaurant. Do yourself a favor and give them a try.

Food were not bad, but pad Thai was very salty and fry rice was blend... interior design was petty and mood was very good for date.

Disclaimer: Since me and my partner were the only ones in the restaurant at around 7pm, it may be a different experience for others. Customer service was excellent and our waiter did wore a face mask. The food though, it was excellent! I liked everything we ordered but wasn't big on the thai tea. The Thai tea was a bit milky and I should have asked for less ice. The Tom Yum soup was delicious and packed alot of flavors. I didn't think there would also be other seafood in it besides shrimp. They did a good job on the pad thai: not too dry or soggy. The noodles were just right. For the curry, I got it at spicy level and dang it was not playing. The broth was super tasty. The dessert is a definite yes if you got room for it. I finished that so quick. The price was reasonable because you get the best . I'll go here again during lunchtime.

Located across the street from Hong Kong market. Service was ok since you can tell they were training a new team member. Overall the place is a decent size, they have a bar area where you can drink and hangout. Tables are nicely spaced out so you don't feel overcrowded. The food was delicious. Every dish we had was on point. Portions are smaller than normal but more than enough. No leftovers to take home. Pad See Ew Beef - flavor was on point and beef was yummy. Tender and perfect seasoning. Pad Thai - it was yummy, might have too much sauce for our liking but we can adjust that next time. It was still delicious. Tom Yum Shrimp - one of the best we've had. It was literally perfect seasoning, shrimp wasn't overcook, little cut tomatoes and slice mushrooms. Yummy! We will for sure be coming back again.

I debated on reviewing this place because it is truly a hidden gem, but I don't gate-keep. It is total vibes. Spicy Thai food, a huge variety of options, vegan, happy hour, craft cocktails, the lighting, the music. It really hit all the sweet spots for me. My server Dave was very attentive, knew the menu well, and offered suggestions when I got stumped, but was humble enough to ask the owner about certain things. (We like that) When I search Yelp reviews I always check to see if a restaurant is kid friendly. While the food and decor is upscale, I'd say it's overall kid friendly. I went on a weekday at lunch and there was a well behaved 7ish old kid there. I wouldn't bring my wild toddler on a weekend dinner rush though. Can't wait to back for date night. If you like Merlion, this place is for you! I wish I had taken more pictures, but was too busy enjoying myself.

I was craving pad Thai and this place satisfied with a reasonably priced chicken pad Thai, meat was tender noodles were flavorful and presented nicely. The Thai tea however was lacking flavor. Still good enough to drink! Finally the mango sticky rice was very good, great texture and flavor combination! Overall I will return, staff was friendly and ambiance was nice.

I just finished my light lunch here for the first time. Love it ! Super awesome waiter named Dave. Every server should aspire to be this helpful! The food was fresh and prepared really well. The restaurant is clean and uncluttered. Love it! The bathroom was very clean as well. I highly recommend this place and wish I lived near so that I could come back more often. Well done!

After running errands, we stopped in for a very late lunch so it wasn't busy. We ordered fried silken tofu, seafood tom yum soup, yum gai, chicken ka pow and yogurt sunrise drink. Portion was worth the price. Food, drink and service were good. Wished they were located near us.

Thai tea and green tea - so yummy!

Kha Thai is our favorite Thai spot...ordered 1x a week and the food is always delicious. The Thai fried rice, curry, stir fried Thai Basil, desserts and drinks are all so so noteworthy. They also appreciate their customers...since I'm a regular they took the time to hand write us a note to thank us!

Absolutely gorgeous plates. Unique dishes that perk up the palate. Order the jumbo shrimp with tamarind sauce. Have you seen shrimp that are over two inches long friend with a light tempura like batter? Juicy succulent , crispy and oh so good with the tangy sauce. The papaya salad was fresh and tasty and the friend clam came with spicy sauces to dip.

I came here with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and we had such a great experience. We ordered several appetizers and all of them were so good that we ordered more. They had these vegetable curry empanadas that were heavenly and everyone raved about the shrimp and crab spring rolls. I had the yellow curry with chicken which was so good and flavorful. My husband had the crab fried rice which he devoured! The prices were also super reasonable and we loved the happy hour Saturday specials. They also have so many options on the menu that anyone could find something that suits their taste buds. My husband and I agreed that we will have to come back!

The atmosphere feels lively, casual, and packed with personality--exactly the kind of place you hope to stumble upon but rarely do. The menu is enormous, featuring dishes from different regions of Thailand, with everything from soups and stir-fried noodles to rice dishes, curries, seafood, and grilled meats. Looking around the dining room, it seemed like nobody ordered the same thing because there is just so much to try. Best of all, the prices are incredibly reasonable for a place with this much hype. I had some of the best noodles of my life here. The Pad Kee Mao was phenomenal (best I've ever had and I eat thai food OFTEN) the noodles were chewy, bouncy, fresh, and perfectly coated in sauce. Everything tasted made-to-order and arrived piping hot. We also ordered the Beef Noodle Soup, which was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor, along with the Green Papaya Salad, which was easily one of the best versions I've ever had. The heat, acidity, and freshness was incredible and so well balanced. Many of the dishes are served on banana leaves, which adds to the entire experience and makes everything feel even more authentic and special. As someone who loves spice, I also appreciated the range of spice levels available. They don't hold back, which I always consider a good sign. One of the coolest surprises is that there's an attached market selling imported products from Thailand and Vietnam--lots of fun snacks, drinks, sauces, and ingredients you won't find at a typical grocery store. A few things to know: parking can be a little challenging, and while it's a sit-down restaurant, you'll need to head to the cashier to pay. They also accept cards, so don't worry about bringing cash. If I lived nearby, I would honestly come here every week just to work my way through the menu. This is the kind of restaurant that's worth planning a trip around. I would come back to Houston just for this meal. When people say Houston has some of the best Asian food in the country, this is exactly the type of place they're talking about!!

We visited for lunch on a Tuesday and had no wait to be seated. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The spring rolls and dumplings were both very good and made a great start to the meal. The Pad Thai had nice flavor and was enjoyable. My husband ordered his dish at a spice level 4 (their highest spice level), but felt it wasn't quite as spicy as expected, so keep that in mind if you like a lot of heat. The portions were very generous, and we definitely had leftovers. The kids' chicken fried rice was a huge portion and was surprisingly good. We also enjoyed the mango sticky rice for dessert--it was a great way to end the meal. The only disappointment was the Thai tea, which tasted a little weak compared to what we've had at other Thai restaurants. As for the entree, I ordered the Khao Soi with shrimp and my friend ordered the spicy red snapper. We tried their appetizers including Salmon Rolls (flavorfully packed with cream cheese, salmon, and spinach in a crispy shell and loving that actually spicy mayo on the side), Thai Style Jerky (deep fried and sun dried marinated pork and beef served with sticky rice rolls and side spicy tamarind sauce, a bit too dry/chewy), Fried Tofu (perfect little triangles, so good by itself or with the side sweet and sour sauce with crushed peanuts), Chive Pancake (deep fried and chive packed triangles with a slight chew to it, great by itself or with it's spicy soy sauce companion). As for the mains, the Spicy Seafood Fried Rice is a good value as it was loaded with all sort of fruits of the sea (shrimp, squid, and mussel), with prominent lemongrass and kaffir lime aroma, but a bit wet or moist for a fried rice dish, the Crabmeat Omelet is served with a nice portion of lump crabmeat where you can taste the flavor of the seafood and add sriracha to liking, and the Beef Pad See Ew is made appetizing with wok charred flat rice noodles along with a savory blend of soy sauce, Chinese broccoli and egg. The portion size is alright and filling for a moderately hungry individual, though it would've been even better a tad bigger for those coming in hangry. I'll be back for more when I'm craving some modern Thai food and especially want to try their curry dishes. Service was quick and efficient, attentive to refills on drinks and friendly!
