I purchased a brand new Kia EV6 in March 2022. I even bought an extended warranty. Around September 2022. I began a warranty claim for paint chipping off. It was approved for repair. Kia Country said I would have to use their paint shop. So I went to their paint shop. They advised me they can not work on electric cats not certified yet. So I advised the Kia country service manager. He said ok give me some time how I'm going to get this fixed? It's April 25, 2023. The car is still not fixed. Unfortunately, the battery sent out a warning on my dash Critical battery issue calls roadside service asap. I went into service this morning at 8:00 am. I was asked do you have an appointment. No this is an urgent matter. I can't do anything to your car until next week as the soonest as I have an opening. Wow, it's a critical problem you don't have any procedure for cars coming in with problems that develop without warning. Not only by appointment only My advice to anyone that is considering buying a new or used car soon. Buy at the larger dealership. Kia Country just isn't able to handle your new car's services. Horrible support. That's why as soon as I can. I'm returning to a loyal Toyota customer. It's not all about buying a new car. I brought my car in for an oil change today. Normally I deal with Michael, and he is awesome. Today I dealt with Mikki. He started by trying to get me for my 30k mile service, which I politely declined, then went on to offer a $300 package which included oil change, rotation, and a fuel injector cleaner, which I also declined. I told him I only wanted an oil change and a rotation, I was sure to ask if I was due for a rotation because I couldn't remember. He told me it was $165 for the package. I was astounded! He said prices went up. I felt like I was being robbed blind. He then proceeded to tell me it would be an hour & a half wait, even though I had an appointment that I was right on time for. I went to the waiting room and decided to check the service board to verify the prices he gave me. I see $89.99 for and oil change and $29.99 for a tire rotation. That total comes to $119.98, so now I'm really feeling taken advantage of. I go back to him and asked him why he was charging me $45 more than what is advertised on their boards and his response "oh those are old prices, but I'll give it to you for that price." Am I supposed to say thank you!?! After the service I went home to check my past invoices. I normally pay $87 For a oil change and rotation, so within 6 months the prices have risen by $33! Not only that, but I had just gotten a tire rotation and wasn't even in need of one, so clearly he didn't even check for me, just slapped It on my tab. I bought my optima at this place 6 years ago and I have been going to them for every single service since. I feel completely disrespected and taken advantage of and they have lost a customer in me. read more

We had our car dropped off there for service from a tow company. We brought the car home and noticed a small crack in the front window. We drove there while on hold and asked for the documents from the vehicle check in when a car comes into there possession. They apologized but said one hadn't been completed and they'd look into it. Contacting management since was challenging but spoke to a few "managers" and have only gotten we'll pay for half, which is their labor costs. The towing company has pictures of the vehicle when leaving it in with Kia County of Manteca. Still no resolution. After reading the reviews I'd agree this to never purchase or take a vehicle there. If it was possible to give zero stars that would be appreciate compared to one star. Customer service is poor and going to the next step of small claims. read more

By reading the other reviews, they are really good at selling you a car but not so great at servicing. I'm pretty sure there have been some staff changes. My car went in for the Soul 2.0 engine failure. Look it up. I wouldn't be writing this except this time I didn't drive away feeling like a valued customer. Many times during this process I felt I was being pacified. After three monthes of being at the dealership because of setbacks not entirely the fault of Kia Country, I picked my car up. It was dirty, had reds scuff marks all on the front, a black scratch also on the front, an area on top of my mirror where the clear coat came off as if something got set on it and left. Small bits of garbage left in the passenger floorboard. I noticed these things after I walked around it at home. They pulled the car up, had the door open and running when I picked it up. Hello, goodbye, so-long. Not only that, the day before my car was ready they tried to upsale me for two radiator hoses, a drive belt and a brake fluid exchange!!!! HUGE WASTE OF TIME. I called ahead of time inquiring on a 2021 Telluride, spoke to Anthony. The vehicle is in high demand so I wanted to make sure they had it in stock. I live almost 2 hours from the dealership so I called three times while I was on my way and they assured me they still had it the one I wanted. When I arrived, not only did they already sell it, they didn't bother calling me either. To add insult to injury they also let us know that they were adding an ADDITIONAL $6k to the MSRP of the other colors that were left because they were in high demand. This is not reflected on kia's website anywhere. They completely wasted my time, didn't bother to communicate then tried to rip us off! Do not buy a car here. My mom bought a brand new Kia 2023. She has it for 3 weeks and it has had multiple problems. I have witnessed one of these problems. She brought her vehicle back they said nothing is wrong with it. She told them there is no way that she has experienced the same problem multiple times. She asked for the same car but a different one . They said they will buy her car back and quoted her a lower price then she paid for. Told her she would have to pay 5,000 out of her pocket for a car that is defected. We asked them about the lemon law they said it had to mess up multiple time for them to call it a lemon. They kept giving up lame excuses about why these problems were happening. One guy straight said we can't expect a perfect car. He said if I put you in another car that one has problems then do we want a different car. Admitting they have cars with issues. My mom explained how unsafe she feels in this car. They said there is nothing they can do. So they gave us a number to call because they didn't want to deal with us anymore. They said it's a manufacturing issue. Today 12/21 my mom went back without me today to pick up her vehicle. Micheal the manger started screaming at her because she wanted to read the papers he was forcing her to sign that said they fixed the vehicle when they didn't fix anything. This ass hole wants to yell at a older women like that I would love for him to talk to me or a grown ass man like that. This is bullshit. Do not buy a car from here. They were kissing our ass to buy their shitty car but treat us like shit when we ask for them to take care of the piece of shit they sold us. He handed me off to another salesman who seemed to be more knowledgeable. This salesman wanted me to test drive a car (which I assumed was in my price range, but was not). He asked for my driver's license. I explained that my driver's license was in my vehicle. My 15 year old sister and daughter were in my car waiting for me. While getting my driver's license, the salesman was quick to come right up to my door and try talking to my sister. I shut the door, gave him my license, and he proceeded to ask if my 15 year old sister was single. I told him, "she is a child." He did not apologize or even acknowledge what I told him. I ended up leaving, and when I was driving away, my sister explained how that same salesman was trying to talk to her through the window. I'm glad she wanted to stay in the car. I don't really have a good handle on any of the dealers since I moved here about 2.5 years ago. Fernando seemed quite straightforward and open about their cars and business. I was looking at the Kia Soul and it goes for quite a bit more money than I expected, like it's a small SUV or something. Obviously, I'd like to get the most reliable car possible and having a car certified by the dealership would be much better than getting one that just seems to be okay. Took my 2022 K5 to get an 8000 mile oil change. I was told the new Kia's only use synthetic oil, which is understandably more expensive. I paid 270 dollars for the oil and filter changes and inspection. Now at 16000 I took my car to Folsom Kia for the next oil change service. I paid 151 dollars for the exact same service. There is no other explanation for that other than Kia Country of Manteca's dishonesty about the true value of the service. I would not recommend taking any newer model car here for an oil change or anything else. I have zero respect for a dishonest business and people that blatantly rip off customers.
