The food is amazing and they give you a lot more than you can eat on premises. I have never had a sandwich this big! And I've tried them from Michigan to Jersey! I'm so upset that I just found out about this place. I lived in Cherry Hill about 7 minutes away from 2008-2012 and I never encountered this spot. I know it had another name, but I frequently went to this plaza and overlooked it. But I am glad I know and have had a chance to try it. The pickle bar was amazing. Had a BIG meal for our party of 3 and wound up taking quite a bit home (Yes, portions are enormous!). Great service from our server (female) but the lady at the front cash register is very "brusque". I softened her up a bit, but WOW. Icy-cold and very abrupt. Meanwhile, those matzoh balls are light, fluffy, delicious - and, of course, HUGE. Cheese Blitz (just get one - yes one for $6.95 - but it's gigantic) is stuffed with lightly sweetened cheese filling and the blini/crepe itself is so comforting and tasty. Decadent deep-fried latkes. Been getting takeout here for years. Recently there are changes, not for the better. Inattentive deli clerks, portions whike still generius have gotten smaller. The "rye" bread had no chew like it should, and the historical cake sluces that could choke a horse have been dine away with as well as many of the bakery items that used to be available. Went today for a quick lunch. Walked in and wow were we surprised. The deli cases were pretty empty. All the fresh fish and salads they had were all gone and replaced with mustard bottles. The deserts were pretty much none existent, literally only a few items. Pickle bar was half full. It looked like the place was on life support. Sandwich wasn't anywhere near filled like what it used to be. It was pretty dirty in there. We asked what happened and the waitress said new management. If this is new management they'll be out of business in no time. After 20 years of going there... we won't be back. Good luck, hope they turn it around but judging what we saw, I doubt it. It's a shame because it was a cherry hill staple. I give it 2 starts because the waitress was great but unfortunately she can't make it all better. Door dashed a large order for our office. Everything listed on receipt. Too bad they didn't follow the instruction on what was ordered. I paid like $20 for a ham and Swiss sandwich on rye with mustard. I got a ham sandwich with MAYO and no cheese. For $20? Should have ordered from Wawa. As always, disappointed. If I'm looking for pastrami, this is where I go. You can be a little surprised at the price until the sandwich arrives. An absolute mound of delicious meat that is impossible for me to finish. Placed my order via phone, got a potato knish, order of latkes and matzoh ball soup. Potato knish (hot) was fresh and filling was good, I prefer the shreddy latke style but these were still pretty good and crunchy, really enjoyed the soup and that they put the matzoh balls in a separate container so they don't get soggy. I got the gluten for punishment pastrami and cornbread and there was very little meat and hardly any coleslaw. I also believe what turned me off the most was that they had about 5 people working and every single one was on there phone. Decided it'd be a good idea to start a new tradition - heading to a Jewish deli the day after Christmas! I should have come with a Jewish friend who could help me out with suggestions. Lots of good looking salads here, but I had no idea what some of the tasty looking dishes were. I opted for a sesame bagel, which is my standby for trying out a deli. Really a 3.5. I have to say I have not been to this restaurant, I am the beneficiary of a catered lunch in an office. The spread was impressive with pastrami, corned beef, chicken salad and more. The half coned beef sandwich is ample, really big. Likewise the pastrami. Both on fresh rye and delicious. The potato salad was bland for me. What happened to this place. The corned beef is shoe leather. The Chopped liver was spoiled, i got into an argument with the counter guy whether or not chopped liver is supposed to be grainy and chewy. Are you kidding? The TOWER of meat was a small roll that was sliced so thick you could not bite through it. At $30 for a sandwich we will never be going back. The Kibbitz Room in Cherry Hill is under new management. We picked up a take out order today - Turkey special. The sandwich was not only half the size as it used to be, the turkey is now turkey roll. The russian dressing and cole slaw is terrible. And they charged $26 for it. Never again. And I've been a customer here forever. Not any longer. This is one of my favorite delis in New Jersey, I am actually surprised I haven't reviewed it yet but most of the time it's lunch for work and I'm picking up. The atmosphere changes right when you walk through the door. The decor reminds me of a New York style Jewish deli which I grew up on. The staff is very nice and welcoming but moving non-stop due to heavy traffic! That should tell you something. My wife went with the Nova Lox platter and it was massive and loaded with all the fixings. Their inclusive pickle bar was so good, pickled tomato's, peppers, cabbage, and multiple flavors of pickle, my favorite the hot and spicy . The quality of fish was excellent, loaded with flavor. I decided with the corned beef and pastrami on rye with Swiss, Russian Dressing, and Cole Slaw. It was massive and we'll worth the price tag. I would rate this place with negative stars if that were. an available option. Do not ever order food for a group and expect the place to fill the order. On Tuesday morning, at 9:30 am, I called and placed an order for three items of fish to pick up for Yom Kippur, for a break the fast dinner. I had agreed to be the one to bring the fish to a family gathering about 90 minutes from my home. It was not a platter but simply 3 items. The woman who answered the phone asked what time I wanted to pick it up and I told her between 2 and 3 pm on Thursday afternoon She told me it would be no problem. When I arrived today, Thursday, the place was a madhouse, full of people trying to pick up orders, some of which the place never filled. I was told there was no order for me; no one could find it in a bunch of filthy paper forms the restaurant must have stored in a trash receptacle. The people working there were rude and obnoxious. First , I was told my order must have been too late to be filled. Three items called in on Tuesday? No one said that, nor did they even take my phone number when I placed the order. Then I was told they ran out of fish. Really? For break the fast at a Jewish del? Then they said a truck was coming from King of Prussia and wouldn't arrive until 4:30 / 5 pm. Good luck with that itinerary on the Schuylkill. I was not the only one. A man picking up a platter was told they didn't have his food either and when he asked what he was supposed to do, one of the employees told him that was his problem. No one was in charge and each employee I attempted to talk to was more obnoxious than the next. I am ordinarily a low maintenance customer who respects how difficult it is to work behind a counter, but this was chaotic, rude and management should be embarrassed. A person whose order was not filled asked who owned the place to find out what was going on; at that point I left and vowed never to go back to such an unreliable , rude, and unprofessional place. read more

Was quite pleased with my lunch at the Kibitz Room. After a day exploring the Battleship New Jersey, the family was hungry and needed a late lunch. I'd had this place on my radar (no pun intended) for the past few months, and thought this was the perfect excuse to stop by on the way home. The place itself is very clean with an extremely impressive display case. We opted to dine in, so the waitress came over quickly with menus and patiently walked us through the menu and helped us with suggestions. Ended up splitting a pastrami on rye with a side of potato pancakes with the wife while the kids got hot dogs and fries and the table shared a cheese kugel and tried literally everything on the small pickle bar. Unlike most Jewish delis I've been to, the meals at the Kibitz Room are actually normal human-sized portions. If you're looking for a mountain of meat piled precariously on comparatively microscopic bread, you'll be disappointed. I am very fond of The Kibitz Room as a Deli but not so much for the jewish cheesesteak. It had several good things. The meat was tender and flavorful. The Pepper Jack Cheese added a nice kick. The roll had good flavor and who doesn't like cole slaw on their sandwich? The real problem was that it was made like a deli sandwich. A lot of meat piled on a roll with cheese on top. I was not a fan of the $17.95 pricetag. The overriding good news is Flying Fish Brewing co is nearby and you can take it there. read more

I had the shrimp salad sandwich and the shrimp were huge not salad shrimp but these suckers were huge. I had lettuce, tomato and onion on it with rye bread. I got the whole sandwich instead of the half and it was enough for two. The potato pancake was delicious too. They had other items besides. They had tables in there to dine in or you can take out.
