Came in to purchase maternity clothes. I found the same exact shirt, brand/style/size in white and black with two different prices. The white size was marked as $6.99 with a 50% off tag while the black shirt was marked as $13.99. Prior to purchasing I asked to confirm prices because it seemed odd, but I was told they would not honor the same price as they "marked it way too low". It seems as though they are extremely inconsistent with prices and just price things off how they feel with no real algorithm. Upon further research I found this brand of T-shirt's online, brand new, ranging $10-20 so I would never purchase it from a used goods store for $13.99. Im not sure if they forgot what business they're in but this is a resale store for used goods. Highly recommend researching all brands and items before purchasing from this location to confirm you're truly getting a discontinued price, otherwise shop new! Poor costumer service and explanation to a consumer because the company made a "mistake". read more

Kid to Kid is a great store to sell your children's old clothes. I have sold clothes for the last seven years. It is a great opportunity to organize and clean out the house and make some extra cash. I suggest calling before going to ensure they are wanting and I suggest only taking that seasons items (i.e., shorts in summer). The wait can get long on the weekend, so I suggest going during the week. read more

Kind of ridiculous when you live 20 minutes away and you call the store prior to going and they say that they stop purchasing clothes at 5 and you go around 4:45 and the girl states that she is no longer purchasing clothes due to a customer coming in with nine bins. First off, don't they limit you to one bin second totally wasted my time and gas. Very unorganized. read more

They literally take your stuff without even explaining the process to you. BEWARE! The store was busy and the 16 year old behind the counter said please just leave and I'll call you with an estimate for buy back. They were behind by 3 orders. When they called they said they would give us basically nothing for our items. So we declined and said we would come pick them up. When we returned they said it was final and they are keeping everything. The response was "it's in the fine print" RED FLAG! The manager or owner then had the audacity to say we could BUY BACK OUR OWN PROPERTY!!! How can you literally take peoples items?? Sell it on offer up you will make x10 the amount or go to love child resale it's privately owned and I've always had the best experiences!! read more

I love stores like this. Kids outgrow clothes so quickly and they can get pretty expensive, especially shoes! I love that I can find amazing stuff for a fraction of the price and in great condition. If I need a dress of a specific color or shorts out of season, you can find it here. Everyone is usually pretty friendly and helpful. Love the chain, dislike of his specific location. I have been to other Kid to Kids and they are way more friendly and have a better selection of clothes. The 1st time I came in I was looking for jeans for my 5 year old and they had NONE in his size or the size above. It's December, you would think they would know how to stock up for the supply and demand of the season. Instead I purchased some pajamas and when I came home there was a huge hole in the crotch. Not cool. I was on the fence about this location but I thought I'd give it another try. Here is a coupon I was given last time I was here. Today when I brought it in to buy clothes & redeem my gift, they refused because the original receipt was not stapled to it (guess I missed the barley legible fine print on the bottom). I get it though, that's their policy BUT being rude to me about it is not ok! I had a handful of about 10 to 12 items I was planning to buy. I left everything on the cashier table and walked out. I will never come back to this Kid to Kid, I'll spend my money elsewhere. read more

Pro: Selection can be decent here but only if you are shopping for gently used items. Con: when you are looking to consign and then get something from your items this store does not give a fair price for your consignments, it is jaw-dropping how low of an offer they give you. I have brought in Nordstrom items that are in resale condition and they offer me pennies on the dollar. They always have an excuse, "we have too many of these" or "it's out of season" or "we're the highest volume store around" or "these don't typically sell quickly" etc. I'm a realist, I understand they have overhead costs and are in business to make money but even the store credit option is very low. Con: Kid to Kid offers way too little in cash, their store credit offers ought be their cash value and their store credit value ought to be higher, from my experience with other consignment stores of this sort. Con: wait time to have them review your items, either they are understaffed or their low ball cash and credit offers make them so much in profit that they don't really need your consignments. Offering consigners $2 -$3 for an item they'll sticker at $10-15 with an original (new) purchase price of $25-30 (for example) is a little ridiculous. Con: The store has a strong stench, they could do a better job of circulating the air or using air fresheners, it smells like a Goodwill. Pro: sometimes items are reduced in price and you can get a good deal. Pro: sometimes items are new with tags, so that is always nice. Pro: selection is typically great but unfortunately not in off-seasons. Con: Not ideal to find something you're looking for for a vacation that your kids will use once or twice in off-seasons. In AZ the weather varies so much, if they'd have small sections year round that would help a lot. read more
