So i know it's March but the excitement i had coming in and still seeing the fall seasonal drinks menu was unmatched. I loveeee fall and its flavors so being able to order that was amazing. I ordered the moonshine latte which is a latte with pumpkin, white mocha, and caramel sauce. It was delicious and the perfect reminder of a taste of fall! This cafe has a drive thru but also has some spots to sit inside. I went so that I could get some work done and so there are 3 booths and then a counter top with 6 stools which is where I sat. There's also plenty of seating in this outdoor area so once whether gets better I can definitely see myself coming back and sitting there. In terms of coffee, Kidd Coffee is by far the best coffee I've ever bought! You can get a larger and better coffee here for less than a venti at Starbucks! I've never gotten a bad coffee here and it is worth every penny! Service here is phenomenal! All staff are friendly, inviting, and super personable! 10/10 customer service! I haven't been inside in a long time but I remember it being the best coffee lounge around! Super comfy feel with warm lighting and comfy seating! Great coffee spot to start the day! I think it's cool that this cafe also doubles as a wine bar, which is pretty unique. The interior is spacious with wide tables and plenty of seats, so this cafe is perfect for catching up with friends or doing some work. The owner was at the cafe when I stopped by, and she was so welcoming and friendly! The iced oat latte she made me was delicious, and my husband loved his cortado. They have tons of seasonal flavored coffee that all sound extremely creative and delicious, though I haven't tried those yet. Perhaps I'll try a flavored drink next time to switch things up! read more

Another bad experience. Trying to give business to a local business another fail. Showed up 6:45 to pick you up coffees for the team. Waited until after 7am and no employees showed up to open. Kidd is another good place in Mason to get coffee. It seems there's so many. This is unique because they also have wine. It kind of gives it a couple different atmospheres. The inside is usually pretty quiet in the day and it gets livelier when it's later. It looks like it was a house. It adds to the charm. This is much better than a shop in a strip mall. In the warmer months there's a nice patio to sit at. The interior will have to do in winter. It's okay. The interior is such a relaxing place if there aren't events and meetings going on. I had the regular coffee. It's about $3 for the medium. They have non dairy options. I really like sipping and sitting in here. It's like being in a house. A nice clean coffee shop with a good selection. The only complaint is the one lady consistently getting orders wrong. If I was to make a guess, I would say she has a hearing problem. She has made mistakes today on my order and another customer's. Furthermore, she has made mistakes on orders in the past. She never seems to take the blame, but blames the customers. I've visited Kidd Coffee twice and both times...uhm, did not leave me super impressed. The first time, about a month ago, my wife and I went to grab a coffee before a movie. The place looked a little sketchy on the outside, like the last time it had some landscaping or an update done was during the Clinton administration. Inside was a quiet, if a bit haphazard, coffee shop. The only employee working was keeping very busy. She asked what she could get for us and I had a question about one of the drinks--she had no idea and consulted the menu. I felt bad that she was alone and fielding questions that required perusing a cheat sheet; as if she's too new to be there by herself and responsible for questions. Got our drinks (they tasted great) and a blueberry muffin (promptly devoured) and sat down. Played a game of Scrabble while we drank our coffee. The table and walls needed some repair work done. Went to use the restroom and, won't get into details, but broken toilet that wouldn't flush from a previous guest. We came away thinking the place needed an active owner that could fix and replace tarnished and broken things. The coffee was good enough and we said we'd give them another shot. Attempted to do that last night, but when we arrived at 6:30pm all of the lights were off and there was just one employee inside (even though their hours said they were open until 9pm.) There was a cardboard box/note on the window that said, "Closed" and might have said more, but it was too small/not lit enough to read. We won't be back. read more

I got hit with 5 or 6 options, which is not what I wanted, just a cup of coffee. Black coffee mid-day on a week day, your a coffee shop... why is it lukewarm? Back in November 2019, I called Kidd Coffee to reserve a space for a cookie swap event on Sat, Dec 7th from 2:30-5:30. I spoke to a barista, she told me the cost was $30 for the downstairs back room and no deposit was necessary. A few days later, the owner called me. She indicated the barista was incorrect, the cost was $50 and did require a deposit. So I paid $25 to her over the phone and sent texted me a copy of the receipt. However, it was shared that if the party tab covered the cost it wouldn't be extra (I can't recall if it was her that said this or the barista on the first call or both of them?). I told the owner we were bringing in cookies but no beverages, that I would drive the party to patron her goodies (which we did). She told me I needed to bring my own cups for water, but she would ensure there was water for us too. (I forgot my cups, she acted annoyed and like it was a big deal, she said she would give me some this time but next time bring my own. When the barista brought out the water, she was super sweet and said it was no problem at all, and to let her know if I needed anything else at all. Her name was Katie, by the way) The party space is a bit dated, the booths have tears in them, the table cloths are all mismatched, have tears in them and they are taped down to the table with black duct type like tape. Not all tables had table covers. I added a few table cloths of my own, some table toppers and such and it was cute enough for what I needed. My party arrived, I gave them the speech about taking advantage to support a small local business, that the owner was great and helpful and I was glad to use the space. I praised it through the entire event. At the end of the event, I cleaned everything up, put the tables back, threw away our trash. I invited Katie out to look over the area to ensure it was all good. She said it looked great. I asked her if my party had a bill large enough to cover the rest of the fee (I know we spent over $50 in addition to the $25 deposit), she said yes, that I was all set and nothing else to pay. She thanked me for cleaning up the area. The next day, I get a text message from the owner to pay the rest of the rental fee and insisting that she did not tell me that it could be waived. I am not opposed to paying rental fees. However, I DO expect them to be on the same page about how they work and when/how to apply them. As I thought about the whole transaction and how it happened, I won't be paying the 'second' portion of that fee. In addition, I will not bring another event to Kidd Coffee - which is unfortunate because I do like the space and want to support small businesses!! Lesson learned, get it in writing. read more

Had coffee from here multiple times. The coffee has been good. You get a good amount of coffee, more than a typical coffee place. The prices are a bit high, but again you get a more coffee. I've never been inside, but I hear it's cute. My major complaint is that they don't have visible prices posted for their drive-thru. And I personally don't like buying something unless I know the price beforehand. read more

I attended a politcal event in the back of the coffee shop in a separate area. The staff here catered the food and provided drinks as well. The inside of the coffee shop is quite lovely and they have more than just coffee to offer. They also have a wine selection available if you're in the mood. I was really impressed with the food they provides. They made a nice cheese tray featuring fruit and some hors derves as well. They were busy working away in the background keeping the food stocked and cutlery and plates available. The food was very nice quality, my favorite was a bruchetta they served featuring arugula. It was light and good quality and helped contribute to the whole feel of the event being held there. Oh and the cookies were pretty darn good too! read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Kidd Coffee yet! I absolutely love this place and it has become my go-to "work from home" spot since Book Bums abandoned their Cin-Day Road location. The coffee's great, cups sizes are generous, outlets are numerous, music is good and the chairs are comfy. Check, check, check, check and check. Oh, and they make a mean cinnamon scone that tastes exactly like a brown sugar cinnamon Poptart, the junk food of my childhood. (My one reservation is that I'm not sure if you can order your coffee in a real mug, but to be fair, I keep forgetting to ask.) I'd love to come back in the evening sometime to try their wine and other food offerings. The menu looks great, I just haven't found time to do it yet. read more

When I walked in to through the back room, the first thing I noticed was how many kids were there, I felt like I was back in a middle school lunchroom. Maybe this is the "hang-out" place for all the kids while they wait for their parents to pick them up. Walked into the bar area and there were more kids, the staff was kind of busy getting all the smoothies prepared for everyone. Decided to look over the menu to see what would tickle my fancy, and decided to let a few people go ahead of me. When I had something in mind I noticed that there was no one else behind me, to the barista asked me what I wanted, I then told him it was my first time here, he just looked at the and said "well let me know when you decide" and went back to talk to his friend that was sitting at the bar, I guess she came to visit him. Normally it's not a big deal, but most places will help you and guide you through their process when you're new and want to know more about their product. The coffee was decent enough to maybe comeback, the price was on the higher end. It could have been the afternoon crown there, but I would prob just get drive-thru next time. Awesome atmosphere and rooftop deck! Kidd Coffee is conveniently located by my work, house, and near one of my favorite restaurants. It offers a variety of wines by the glass and bottle, coffee, and beer. Their food options are diverse and I have heard nothing but good things from friends. I recently had a cinnamon roll and it was so HUGE that I took half of it home. It made for a delicious snack later that night. A coworker and I like to frequent this location for a casual meeting place. The space is made up of various rooms, each offering something different. There is a large screened-in porch, booth seating, bar seating, cozy chairs near an electric fireplace, a long table near the front, private rooms upstairs available to reserve, and a rooftop deck! This place has something to offer for everyone! The service has always been extremely friendly and helpful. On our first visit they even offered to give us a tour of the space and discussed upcoming live music. My wife and I each ordered a different flavored iced latte. The barista asked us to hand them the sign with the drinks on it because they didn't know what was supposed to be in the drinks we ordered. My wife's coffee was done first and was pretty good but then they went to start on my drink and told me that it couldn't be made iced. No biggy, I asked to get something else instead which she said was fine but it would be an additional 50 cents. I thought that was odd since both drinks were on the same part of the menu but I paid anyway. While waiting for the drink I noticed that all of the drinks listed in the section that I ordered from boldly state "available hot or iced". So I'm not sure why my first drink was denied (after paying). I eventually got my drink and quickly headed out. Too quickly unfortunately as the drink ended up being wrong. I ordered a drink with marshmallow and caramel in it and all I could taste was coconut. It shouldn't have even had coconut in it so I'm assuming they used the wrong syrup. This place is awesome! I started coming here after moving back to Cincinnati from Lexington. Kidd reminds me of the independent coffee shop I would hangout at and study or unwind after a long day of classes. The coffee is great and it is less expensive than Starbucks. They rotate various coffee flavors daily, each one better than the last. Food is great too! Really nailed the flatbread pizza! In addition to coffee, this place also serves wine and craft beer. The choices are located behind the bar by their flat screen television which is usually playing a sporting event of some kind. There is also a covered patio which they sometimes use for live music from Thursdays-Saturdays. There is also a rooftop deck that everyone talks about. With all that said, the thing that separates Kidd Coffee and Wine from a place like Starbucks is the staff. These baristas know their stuff and work to get to know you as well. read more

There lattes are pretty good.. Have been here a couple of times as it's near the Mason public library.. Definitely not the best coffee around but the place is pretty good.. Me and my girlfriend in fact sat and did some studying here for a while! A quite li'l place which has it's own conference room as well.. Tried this coffee bar today and I was disappointed. The lady behind the counter didn't seem to understand what we were asking for (even though it was on the menu). I think there was just a heavy language barrier. There were two people in front of us and it took 20 minutes to order.
