Kids empire in Johnstown is one of my favorite indoor spaces to let my kids play! When you come for the day, your ticket is good ALL DAY! Meaning, you can come get some of your energy out, have lunch or run errands & come back to play until close. We hosted a birthday party here and the staff was FANTASTIC! This place exceeded expectations. It's spotless, safe, and packed with fun activities for toddlers, older kids, and even parents who want to join in. Every section of the playground is well-designed, well-maintained, and clearly cared for -- nothing was broken, worn out, or outdated. The staff was fantastic: friendly, engaged, and truly on top of keeping the environment clean and welcoming. The snack bar is a pleasant surprise -- great kid-friendly picks, plus solid options for adults. Overall, it's a perfect spot for a playdate, rainy day escape, birthday party, or to burn off energy. I really wanted to love this place. The climbing structure was everything we hoped it would be. Creative, fun, and perfect for active kids. But unfortunately, the way the place was being run and monitored completely ruined the experience for us. The day started off with me noticing a van in the parking lot that had been accidentally left wide open. It was clearly a family vehicle with car seats in every row. I brought it to the attention of the two male staff members at the front, and they just looked at each other and said, "It isn't my car." No one made any attempt to make an announcement or even check on it. That level of indifference, especially when children might be involved, was really unsettling. Inside, things didn't get any better. Despite clear signs stating the infant/toddler area was only for younger kids, it was filled with pre-teens and teens. We watched staff notice the situation, then turn around and go back into the staff-only area without doing anything. Our 2-year-old even found a lighter in the toddler ball pit. That was the moment I realized how little supervision was actually happening here. In the main climbing tower, older kids were dive-bombing from the third level all the way down to the first, completely ignoring the structure's intended use and signage. A lot of younger children were getting hurt or scared, and even though a staff member was clearly watching, they didn't step in or say a word. This could be such a fantastic space, but right now it's not a safe or respectful environment for younger children. We were really disappointed, and we won't be coming back unless some major changes are made. read more

I will NEVER come to this place again! First off, the large playground was too scary for my little 4 year old. He found it hard to climb three levels and the huge slides were too intimidating. So we went over to the toddler section and an employee walked right up to him and asked him if he was wearing a diaper (which I thought was very inappropriate). I informed her he was fully potty trained, and she curtly told me that only diapered children were allowed in that section unless it was an older child with a younger sibling. I can see an age limit but...diapers?? There were several young kids my grandson's age there, but we were escorted out. We had only been there about 20 minutes so I asked for a refund. The only thing I got was a lecture from the manager! Also most of the games and attractions were not working and you apparently have to buy a game card separately to drive the cars. The website does not tell you this. Stay away from this place...there are plenty of good alternatives out there. read more

Don't take the risk with the "Play Card." We purchased one (the plastic itself they charge you for), added $20 worth of play to it. The card did NOT read on the machines. Asked the front desk and they simply laughed and said "sorry- we have no idea how much was on the card." This is despite the person that just sold us the card standing right there. The managers were more than happy to take $20 without rendering a good or service (a few minutes of electricity and maybe some cheap claw game toys), and aggressively made sure they didn't have to make it right or fix the situation. They found it amusing to make $20 on a technicality of "policy" Lighting $20 on fire would have literally rendered more value than a useless plastic card. Punch line - we've held birthday here, taken guests here, and have come 10s of times. This time, the managers were downright rude and we won't be back. Plus we're telling all our friends about this customer service experience. read more

Had a birthday party for our son. Paid for pizza and the "meal". They did not bring any pizza and when we asked after seeing all other groups had theirs, they said a mistake was made and ours was not ordered. They gave us two random pizzas that were cold that they had in back as "extras" and then told us we would have to order our own pizza. We did. I asked for a refund if the "meal" and we were denied because they said the "meal" plan was required to order outside food, and we had ordered our own pizza. This place is crowded and had very little seating for adults as well as very unhealthy options for kids snacks. Do not recommend. read more

I'm giving 3 stars for a few reasons. Sometimes, like right now the staff is really great and sweet and there have been times in the past I've been thoroughly upset with the employees and how poorly I felt their customer service skills were. The facility doesn't accept cash which is actually against a federal law, resuming a type of currency considers your debt paid. However, reporting it is nearly impossible, believe me I've looked. The facility is great, on some of the slides make sure your kids aren't gripping the plastic or they'll get a burn. The prices though are very expensive considering there are other play places for cheaper that you can have monthly memberships. You can get a lunch card, but still ends up pricey. And you aren't supposed to bring your own food, and if you book a party I believe you're supposed to buy one of their cakes and can't bring your own. I think if they could make sure they hire good staff, present monthly membership, and open up the option for your own food, this would be a prime kids place. read more

The place is amazing for kids but has a pretty expensive entrance fee if you plan to go frequently (like in the winter months) at $19.90 per child. Punch cards are $150 for 10 admissions. We love Kids Empire! My daughter went to one party here and asked if we could come back again. We went back yesterday and she had an amazing time. It's on par with Urban Air as far plush amenities, comfort, volume level and activity but much closer to our home. They don't have a kitchen or allow outside food or drink unless you're having a party but I like the snack offerings and they're pretty affordable (less than $2 for a small bag of chips etc). It's quieter in the morning if you need less quiet but it's still a kids play place and only for children. They do have a small play area for the little littles too. read more

Very disappointed with kids empire. We not go back and do not recommend. We had a birthday party there. They didn't provide a cake that we paid for and ordered. They also over charged me and I have been trying to get a refund for over a month now with no help from their HR. I spoke with the supervisor the day of the party. He informed me that he processed a refund. I called a week later no refund. I called the next week and spoke with the manager. She said they are not authorized or trained to do refunds....so she isn't sure why the supervisor said he processed one. She told me to contact HR. I contacted them via email and phone. The only responses I have received is "there is no estimated timeline for your request."The customer service I have received in regards to my issue is TERRIBLE. I definitely do not recommend having your party here. I still do not have a refund and they are no longer responding to my emails. read more
