Worse dinner ever! So sad as we heard such good things about this restaurant. To begin with there were no reservations available after 5:00 according to Open Table so we chose 5. From 5 until we left at 7 half the restaurant was empty. That was annoying and I had to use a credit card to get the 5:00 res. ? We had salads to start. I ordered the pear / house salad which was good but my friend's Caesar was soggy and tasted like it was leftover from the previous night! For our main course, I had the whole branzino and paid extra to have them fillet it (at $45 there's an extra charge?) Not realizing that it comes a la carte, I also had to order the roasted potatoes. The branzino was a very large portion (whole fish, I guess I should have expected) so glad that I shared with my daughter. We didn't finish either. The fish was mushy and flavorless. And it had bones! My daughter had to keep picking them out. Service was nothing special and all in all a very disappointing meal- especially for the price! Had an amazing dinner during the Tennis Tournament rain delay tonight!! My server Cosmo recommended the beef carpaccio and was it delicious! Decided to go to KiKi's after debating whether or not to drive to PS for dinner, definitely made the right decision. RJ provided phenomenal service and was very attentive, however, it wasn't just him. The whole staff was very accommodating. When we made a reservation, the only seating option was to be seated outside. We didn't mind because they had a heater at every table and the staff were very nice about turning the heat up or down. They even gave us a blanket to use if we were too cold. Even though we were outside, we were seated right on the fountain with the mountains behind us. You couldn't get a better view than that. The food was absolutely delicious too. We got the pepperoni pizza with honey, vodka pasta, and pesto pasta. All the flavors were so good, we rated them 9 out of 10. We had a reservation for a booth for 4 for 5:30pm yesterday-Saturday evening. We were sat right next to the front door in a half booth sticking out into the entryway- made me wish I hadn't even made a reservation. It was BOILING HOT and stuffy so we asked to move but were told there was nothing else available - not even the patio. We asked and were told that, yes, air conditioner was out. Ugh. Meal came out and all four of us were shocked at how SMALL the portions were for the price. Our friends had to order an extra entree just to have enough to eat! Taste was good- just a miserable environment and tiny portions. 120$ for two so that we could go home and cook anyway- we will not be back. read more

They were all super knowledgeable and friendly. The service was so good I actually started this review mid-dinner and my wife was like "maybe give it a minute." Everyone was incredibly thoughtful and even asked if we drank. My wife really appreciated this. She is pregnant so they shifted our anniversary plans towards desert. So cute and unexpected in a strip mall! First the cocktails were so well made. I don't love Negronis and theirs was incredible, as was the old fashioned. The arugula salad was perfectly blended and the Aracini was SO yummy. We had the gnocchi and the carbonara were delicious. I have been wanting to try Kikis for a while and while I must say I was quite disappointed. Although the atmosphere and vibe was overall nice food was mediocre at best. We had Caesar salad, tried the pepperoni pizza and vodka pasta, focaccia bread. For 120$ It was not worth it at all. Service was good and staff were great at checking in. But just alone 100+ dollars for pizza,salad and pasta with average flavor I probably won't be back. read more

We went to this newer restaurant because of the great reviews and KIki is one of our daughter's nicknames. Not only did we discover that Kiki was the owner's daughter's nickname but we discovered a new go-to place every time we are in the Coachella Valley. We started with the Homemade Focaccia and Caesar Salad and although both were outstanding, the Focaccia was a real standout. Our family of 4 all had pasta and everything from the presentation to taste was incredible. I LOVE Bucatini Cacio e Pepe and this was the best I've ever had. The table next to us ordered the full portion of Chicken Parmigiana and it was massive and they looked very happy as they were eating it. I've waited a few weeks to allow the owners of Kiki's to respond to me. I left a phone message within 2 days of our very bad experience and then sent a message directly through Open Table to the restaurant and have had no response whatsoever; clearly they have no interest in customer satisfaction so YELP it is. We were a party of 5 celebrating 2 family birthdays at the end of January, which I indicated when I made the reservation and the hostess confirmed upon our arrival. That was one of the very odd things about the experience: our waiter never mentioned the birthdays, never offered anything special, never even asked us if we wanted dessert at all. Why ask people if they are celebrating something if you don't acknowledge it? But that was the least of our problems. We were SO looking forward to a great dinner before our evening at the McCallum and the restaurant is very cute, very well decorated and fun. But the food was completely terrible. I had the short ribs which were tough, fatty, chewy (hard to be all of those things and yet they were) and absolutely DOUSED in a heavy wine sauce. After our terrible experience I looked online at the website and saw pictures of shortribs that looked nothing like what I was served. I did not complain about my meal because it was a festive family celebration and I didn't want to be a downer, but after we left every single person in our party admitted that no one's food was good. We were all just being polite. The only thing we agreed was good was the focaccia bread. Salads were overly dressed, pizzas were very ordinary and my son's poor girlfriend admitted that her chicken parm tasted very strange. Unfortunately, she took several bites before giving up. When we went to our show at the McCallum, she became extremely ill suddenly and had to rush to the bathroom, and then ultimately leave the performance due to being so sick. She is a nurse and knows how food poisoning presents and felt certain that this is what had occurred. I was heartbroken because now not only had our wonderful family birthday celebration been derailed by bad food and lackluster service, but our whole evening (and very expensive tickets) were ruined because of poorly handled or prepared food. I absolutely do not recommend that you eat at Kikis, not only because of our bad experience, but also because the owners have no interest in making anything better. read more

I was bummed they were out of their peaches. I really wanted to try their peach dessert. The art on the wall was interesting some of it was too eclectic for my personal taste but overall the restaurant had an interesting feel. The checkered floor was a bit too Illuminatish for my taste. Called yesterday and asked if there is a patio. I was told that there is patio seating on the weekends. I made a reservation for tonight on the patio. We got there 10 minutes early. The hostess was annoying. She said our reservation did not show patio. She wanted to seat us indoors. We were about to leave when she said that our table on the patio was reserved for 630 by someone else. It was now 10 minutes before five. We assured her we would be done by 6 o'clock and we were. Our server was very friendly and good. The food was excellent. However, the focaccia order came cold. That is because I watched it being passed around different ancillary wait staff, none of who knew which table it should be brought to. So it was cold. The sauce that came with it was very yummy. If they get their ancillary Staff organized and educate the hostess, I might be able to give this place a five next time. read more

I found this place by chance and stopped in to try something new and ordered the pizza, one of the best pepperoni pizzas I had in my life and it wasn't oily or greasy even coming hot out of the oven. The service was quick and with a smile with great wait staff to boot, it has its special charm in how it looks it makes the experience different in a positive way. Fine dining service without the fine dining price tag!! We went to Kiki's for the first time this past Saturday evening. When we walked in the hostess greeted us right away and took us to our table. The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is really cute and fits the style of the food. Right when we sat down, we were offered water. Our server Cosmo came over right away to take us through the menu and got our drink orders. We were not in a big hurry as we had an hour and a half before our movie. Cosmo was very attentive, but I didn't feel rushed or pressured. We ordered a couple of appetizers that were delicious. The meatballs were my favorite! We split a salad and a pasta entrée. Everything was delicious. Another thing that I noticed was a gentleman named Ruben, who was also very attentive to us but all evening he was busy straightening chairs clearing tables, pouring waters, etc. I don't think I ever saw him stop moving..
