Everyone worked really hard to provide a great customer experience. Julia was great and provided us with helpful guidance for our first time there. This was a second go for us. What great ambiance!... Very chic place and delicious food. This time however, realized they're limited in appetizer selections, think they can at least include 2 additional choices of appetizers. The service was super slow, took a while to be served, for drinks and our meals, waited 2hours after placing our order for main meals to arrive, appetizers don't come together salad came before our appetizers, we let manager know, we were told they're working as fast as they can in the kitchen, (but our water was being filled quite rapidly). Also, a bit disappointed when asked for bread, we were told that they don't have enough, because it's part of their meatball dish on the appetizer. We do feel the kitchen is under staffed, but the dinning area has way too many servers. They can work on balancing that. 3 greeters host, 2 managers, about a dozen servers and bussers... We are giving them benefit as this is their 8th week into opening their doors. We love to support local family business. read more

The experience was one that no customer should ever have at a restaurant and I was embarrassed to have brought an out of town guest. Yes, the waiter said he did not have a dessert menu and I was charged $12 for each scoop of gelato that you said should have been $7.50. Per your request I would be happy to give you feedback directly about the lack of food quality and bad experience. If only your response told me how to reach you? I finally got through to the restaurant and your staff refused to give me some way to reach you by phone. As well, it would be appreciated if you would reverse the $130 charge once we connect. Terrible service.. I walked in to order take out at 9:05. All of the staff were standing and chatting at the bar. I waited a few minutes until I was told last call is at 9. Mind you their weekend hours state they close at 10. Incredibly disappointing. read more

Stopped by with friends for a drink. River, who was tending bar, made me an incredible old-fashioned. My friend had a house specialty called the Felicita, and it was yummy too. We had a great evening at Kiki's with friends. What a lovely edition to La Quinta. Kiki's is a quaint and charming new restaurant. Decor and atmosphere on point. We had great food and service. We enjoyed the homemade focaccia, arancini, bucatini and meatballs, grilled zucchini, caesar salad, rigatoni bolognese and much more. The cocktails were fantastic. They make a great old fashion. Great food, great service! Small menu, but excellent quality. I had the hanger steak with mushrooms and crispy potatoes. Cooked perfectly medium with a ton of flavor. My wife had the linguine and clams while our son had the summer squash risotto. When we requested a change to one of our entrees, the server checked with the kitchen and they were happy to do it. Everyone was quite happy with their food and the atmosphere was relaxing. Bathrooms were clean. We are from Riverside, so this was a distance to drive, but well worth it. My husband surprised me with date night at Kiki's. If know me, I like to try new places. Especially, with great ambiance. I knew we had arrived to a great place when I'm already having a connection with a staff member outside. Then we get greeted by a beautiful lady sporting Good Vibes fit,'oh yeah !!! We arrived early to enjoy a couple of cocktails at the bar and of course River did not disappoint. His espresso martini was not overpoweringly sweet and did not include dairy which, my lactose intolerant tummy very much appreciated. He also rocks a delicate cosmopolitan if you're looking to make a switch Cosmo greeted us at the table and of course rocked it with recommendations. My husband ordered the pepperoni pizza and fell in love. I had the carbonara and I tell you those bucatini noodles are addicting. We also tried the Brussels sprouts and they were tasty and crispy. If you're in town, give this place a try. We absolutely loved it and will be back again. The Palm Desert area needs more places like this. Sofia. Kiki's and their entire staff is absolutely amazing. We came here during my bachelorette trip and they provided us with one of the most memorable nights of my life. The whole entire team from the owner to the busboys treated us like family, they were attentive to literally every detail, they gave us free drinks, they danced with us, the list goes on! As you can tell from my photo, the bartender became our best friend. The vibe they have curated is so unique, the whole restaurant was having the time of their lives. I wish I had more photos of the food, it was INCREDIBLE!!! Some of the best Italian food I've ever had. So flavorful, fresh, incredibly delicious. I worked with their event manager to book our reservation and she was super responsive and helpful. Special shoutout to River and Niki for making our night amazing. Our whole group has not stopped talking about how great the food and the staff was here. I will come back every time I'm in town!!! read more

I have now been to Kiki's three times. I will say it can get a little noisy, but it makes up for a little bit of discomfort by having servers that go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. The food, well I wish I could say that I've experienced a lot of their dishes, but really we have only had their meat balls, pizza's and salads. They are so delicious, I haven't exposed ourselves, or our friends to anything else. You have to try the mushroom pizza....OMG, incredible. I was told when they opened that their salads were very small. When we went in a few weeks past their opening the salads were enough to share. The only thing I would like them to change is that all wine should be poured into a wine glass and not a water style glass. However you can ask for a wine glass and they will be happy to change it for you. MB read more

First, the good. Nice decor, I really liked the interesting gallery walls, very well done. Service was good, not great, it was pretty busy when we were there so that's understandable. I love Aranchini so ordered just one to sample. Not very good. Very small, about the size of a golf ball, seemed dry ( possibly overcooked ) so I'd pass on ordering them next time. My Margarita pizza was very good, the crust was the best part, I'd definitely order pizza again. My wife had Rigatoni Bolognese, I sampled hers. We both agreed that it was lacking "something ". My stated that it needed fresh grated Parm, or parsley or maybe a little red pepper flakes, something. I usually order vodka Martinis but after seeing that they serve them in coupe glasses I passed on that. We'll visit again, it's a nice place & I really liked the pizza. read more

Let's just start with the olive tree decor inside the restaurant that makes you feel like you're a dining at a terrace in Italy. The vibe is awesome! Decor, and artwork are on point! The food is absolutely fantastic. Obviously, they put attention to detail to each entrée. Food is imported from Santa Monica farmers market, prepared by an amazing Michelin rated chef. I visited on my 50th birthday weekend and I am so happy I found this hidden gem! Not only was the staff welcoming and accommodating, the drinks are amazing, the food is fantastic, and the atmosphere I was exactly what I was looking for on my vacation. Would give them zero stars if it were an option. Extremely rude and terrible service. Asked us to move a sleeping 8 month year old in his stroller into a high chair because his stroller was a "fire hazard." Made a big deal about having to move tables around to accommodate us in a restaurant that had a plethora of open tables. Hostesses were rolling their eyes and passing the menus back and forth because neither of them wanted to seat us. That's when a member of our party told the hostess that she needs to get a new attitude. Business owner threatened to release a video referring to a blurry hand as a "middle finger." Video footage also shows the older man in our party who "got in the hostesses face" was several feet away from the hostess at all times. Really unprofessional staff and owner. Definitely don't recommend this restaurant to anyone with children or anyone that is handicapped with assistive devices. read more

As a local I was thrilled to try this spot! I enjoyed a vodka martini and got to have a slice of the margarita , pepperoni and white peach pizza which are all absolutely delicious! We had a table of two and they wanted to sit us right behind the host stand next to a table of six even though there were tons of open tables in the restaurant. We asked for a different table and they said they couldn't accommodate us because they only seat two people at a two top due to reservations. We went and sat at the bar instead. We ordered a Caesar salad with no anchovies. It came full of anchovies and when we sent it back, they just took off the anchovies instead of giving us a new salad so it was inedible. We ordered the penne, pink sauce without shrimp because one person was a vegetarian and they said they were still gonna charge us the full price of over $30 even without the shrimp. We were at the bar for at least two hours and the restaurant never filled up. We could've been seated at a different table. read more

The food was good but I wouldn't rave about it. The entree comes on plate without any garnish everything is al la carté. The plate looks unappetizing plated with nothing. The entrees are overrated and overly priced for what you get. The size of fish entree was pathetic, there is value with chicken parm because they pound it until it's elongated to look like a full plate of food. Bread is an extra fee and it's dry.Tables are on top of each other and middle section is a park setting with trees and table after table. The trees might have been fake. It is terribly noisy restaurant. My cocktail was made incorrectly and the waiter tried to tell me different. I handed him the drink and said make it again. It was a Saturday night with a full sell out. They couldn't get the food out in a timely manner. We waited 1.5 hours for food to arrive. In the meantime they gave us free bread, appetizer and apologies. We just wanted our food. We were very disappointed in our visit, price, food, service, ambiance. We wanted to like this place but we won't be back there are more choices in area. read more
