Kiki's was disorganized & understaffed. A person whom we assume was the owner walked by our table as we were ready to leave- made a quick comment but never asked how or if we enjoyed our meals. He seemed oblivious or just didn't care about what was going on in the restaurant The servers were very polite & seemed to being doing their best given an impossible situation. There was no continuity in receiving our food; perhaps due to the lack of staff? The hot food when served was not hot; there was too much of a time gap between asking for pepper for our salads & receiving it. We requested our pizza to be "crispy" which our server noted but the kitchen apparently did not read the request. Fantastic from the get go. A Small hidden gem in La Quinta. The wife and I started off with a whiskey sour and a pineapple Serrano chili margarita. Both were refreshing on this beautiful evening. My with had the apple salad and I had the wedge salad. Both were good, but overall simple and elegant on the presentation. My wife ordered the king salmon and I ordered the prosciutto and fig pizza (fantastic). The pizza was drizzled with a honey, which with the dig, goat cheese and honey, it was like a charcuterie tray pizza. The study was amazingly crispy and ate like an artesian cracker. The service was spot on. No pushy or interruptions asking for needs, just simple service, while asserting water was full, napkins were plenty and all was well. A great spot. I was excited to try Kiki's and finally did for a Friday dinner date, prepared to love it. Spoiler alert: I liked it, but feel they could improve some things. Vibe/decor: great, modern, lively, fun. Love the plants when you walk in and all the eclectic framed artwork. Service: Fabulous. Very attentive, friendly, and helpful (checking ingredients for us due to allergies, trying to level our wobbly table, etc.). Drinks: Their cocktail list is inventive but we went with classic dirty martinis with blue cheese olives (had the option between those and regular). Our first round had bits of ice, a no-no, Martinis 101. Second round was perfect. Blue cheese olives were bomb. Food: very good...but not amazing, and therefore definitely WAY overpriced. Everything is a la carte, even the entrees. We shared the snap pea burrata starter, tasty but for $17 we expected to get a nice portion of burrata, rather than a smear. I also had one arancini, $4 for a tiny ball of basically breading with hardly any filler and no sauce. Meh. My husband had the barramundi piccata, I had the chicken mila-piccata. His fish had a very crispy skin and my chicken was beautifully fileted and fried to golden perfection. Unfortunately the piccata "sauce" filling both our plates was flavorless and extremely watery, more like a broth, and without any veggies or other accompaniments on the plate to soak it up. Presentation: The plates themselves were oval/rounded and too deep and large, so we constantly had to make sure our utensils didn't fall in. Also, the aforementioned wobbly table couldn't be fixed so we moved to another. Pedestal base tables simply don't work. Surrounding tables had pizza and pasta dishes that looked sublime so that is probably the move. Unfortunately my husband is allergic to wheat and they offer no GF alternatives for either. Understandable for a classic Italian restaurant, but sadly it means we probably won't return. read more

The girl at the front (sorry for not remembering your name) greeted us kindly and politely and then seated us, we were then offered water by another young server who could only offer us water (as he was underage, again sorry as I have forgotten his name) who did an excellent job throughout the evening, more on that later. After our main server Cosmo had brought us our arancini and mama Mia martinis (both of which are phenomenal) we were asked to moves seats as we had been put in the wrong area, not a problem to us at all. We then ordered the cacio e pepe and the vodka shrimp which were sublime. The staff went above and beyond to make my wife and I's evening very special. The owner Jack even sat down with us to talk about the restaurant and the staff (who he sung to the heavens about). Jack made the evening feel very personal and as if we were close friends or even VIP's when we are just your average couple out for a date night. We received the best possible reception and experience at Kiki's that it has instantly become our go to place for a night out for dinner. So upsetting. We used to love this place, but had heard that it changed ownership. Well, the soda was flat, the sparkling water was flat, and the food was not as good. The arrencini balls were dry and missing the cream sauce they used to put on it, my meatballs tasted like hockey pucks and after we were served dinner our waiter disappeared for 30 to 45 minutes. You MUST go here!! We celebrated my best friend's bachelorette on a Saturday night and the entire staff and owner and everything in between needs to be praised. We were a large group (14 women) and we had reached out to the event coordinator in advance and they provided us with all the information we needed and what the layout of the preset menu would include, they were completely transparent with the cost and everything. Trust me, it was more than enough food and we even had some leftovers!! They started us off with wine and the first appetizers came out swiftly, we devoured the plate and before you even knew it the next appetizer was out. The meatballs....oh my god. Please get them!! I couldn't even take a picture because we ate them so fast. The bread...perfection. The Margherita pizza....the basil....I will be dreaming out this. The cacio de Pepe pasta...drooling. I didn't want the food to end but my waistband could only take so much. The bartenders even gave us free shots that were absolutely delicious and the drinks were definitely flowing! River, you are a star!! The waiters also didn't even let our water cups reach being empty, let me tell you, 14 girls drinking, we needed that. The staff was so pleasant and fun and everyone had a smile!! They were laughing and dancing with us and that is something you don't often see! You really felt the family vibe with the staff. The owner and the staff made this trip so memorable for the bride to be, we have been home for a few days and I am still thinking of everything! The managing partner Nick Iattoni will retaliate online for any reviews 3 stars or less that he doesn't deem flattering. Instead of addressing any concerns you might have posed with the food, he'll go right to being petty. In closing, the food was still bland Nick. The short ribs actually tasted better the next day... but the chicken Parm was still "meh". And for the record, the pandemic pretty much killed that business that you left the negative review for. First of all, the service here is amazing. You can tell that the staff truly care about and take pride in their work and are very attentive and well mannered. Secondly, the beef carpaccio was honest to goodness the best I've ever had. Chicken piccata (pictured) was enough for two people and wonderful. I wish I took a picture of the Chicken Parmesan my dad ordered, I had a bite and would absolutely order that in the future. I got the braised short rib (also pictured) and it was perfect. Kiki's is genuinely the best restaurant I have eaten at in the entire desert area. We walked in Saturday evening without reservations since when we tried to call. The hostess welcomed us to eat and drink at the bar. We enjoyed the 3 wonderful bartenders (River,Mark and Ty) and their recommendations. The pasta was outstanding. The himachi crudo was very tasty however we noticed it was missing the mint,basil and pistachios (possibly chives too unless that was within the oil). We were able to get the pistachios on the side,however with the upscale of the restaurant, next time I order it I hope they catch those special add ons that were missing before it leaves the kitchen. As I arrived , I assumed it was going to be a great dinner, I was wrong as soon as I met with the server, she came in with attitude and was rushing us to order as if she wanted us to to eat quick and leave. The first red flag was when they brought us non carbonated soda, must be on their secret menu. Once our food arrived, it had tasted as if it was microwaved, tasted stale and cold. We requested to speak with the manager and Allie arrived to our table with attitude and disrespectful. My husband and I saw a piece on TV about Kiki's doing a pizza making class for kids with special needs. We said, this is the kind of place we want to patronize. In addition to being really good people, they make really good food. We ate lightly, just entrees, but both the bucatini with meatballs and the linguine with clams were superb and very filling. No scrimping on the meatballs or clams, all of which were flavorful. Next time we will save room for dessert. My glass of prosecco was also yummy. It's much bigger than it looks from the outside, nicely decorated with a great vibe, and the staff is very friendly. Lilibeth, our server chatted with us as we were newcomers, as did Mark, the manager, Chef Matt and Allie, the owner (if I got any names wrong, my apologies).
