Service is ok. I think the service you get depends on the server Bc they're not all friendly. The one that sat us was rude, but the one who helped take our order was great- attentive and friendly. The food is awesome. I prefer the Fresh Rolls over the rest, but they're all great. They do not drown the rolls in sauce and they have a great balance of rice and toppings. The tempura is always served fresh out of the fryer. The tempura batter is more beer batter- like but they still taste great. The value is also great. The prices are reasonable and you get more than you would from other sushi spots- edamame and a tiny ice cream scoop (not much but more than most). Overall I think this is a great spot.. esp for lunch a they have the premium roll special for lunch! I believe that is the best deal they have! read more

This is my family's goto sushi spot for years. Friendly staff, the menu has something for everyone. I'm a huge sushi lover so I like ordering individually. Bluefin, toro, halibut, sweet shrimp, uni, you know all the good stuff. The portion of fish to rice is always generous and the fish is always quality. We also like ordering the fried appetizers, squid, tempura and yellowtail collar. Fried and fresh, love it. We always have a satisfying experience when we come here. read more

Definitely one of the better sushi places I've been to. It's nice and clean on the inside and dimly lit. They blast some old school house inside which seems kind of tacky but it works? As for the food, we ordered Baked Lobster Roll, Salmon Roll and another roll that I can't remember the name of but I had baked scallops and stuff. I also got the dinner combo with teriyaki salmon fried tofu and rice + miso + salad. First off their baked lobster roll was good. The lobster flavor was there. It was a bit light on the lobster flavor but that might be due to the creaminess of the sauce they slathered on it. The salmon roll was good too. But my only issue with it was that it was it wasn't wrapped well at all. Each peace that we tried to grab kind of fell apart... It tasted good though so we let it go. The baked scallop roll was also good. They use mini scallops (not the large diver scallops). It had good flavor and wasn't overly salty or sweet. I really enjoyed my combo with the baked salmon and the tofu. Both had really flavorful sauces that were balanced. The give complimentary edamame at the beginning of the meal and ice cream at the end of the meal, which is a nice touch. read more

We ordered via Door Dash, and they accidentally sent the wrong item. When we called to notify them, they immediately apologized and offered a free roll to be delivered free of charge. We usually order the Shrek roll which is a special roll, and they made an exception and sent it. They made up for their customer service, at least for delivery. Some yelper suggested this place and I had to check it out. They do not have happy hour but they do have tv screens to watch the dodger playoffs at least. Takoyaki- full of sauce, small and they're the tiniest balls I ever seen. The meat felt like the size of a Reese's pieces. The Alaskan roll- raw salmon on the crabmeat and avocado was decent. It was not bad, I liked it. They garnished it to look pretty. There was this other thing we ordered that was shrimp and crabmeat avocado roll but it was not so great. Love Kiku; self disclosure, can't attest to fish/seafood in sushi or alone as I don't eat anything that swims ( personal taste versus their survival!), but.... Love their miso soup (hearty and always fresh), ginger side salad is mighty flavorful, and katsu pork is out of this world top notch tasty! Tempura is so scrumptious, not greasy whatsoever and lightly battered and fried up..... all veggies here were so fresh. Veggie roll was beautifully wrapped and repetitively delicious!! Not really consistent with their availity of the sashimi goods. Be careful when you order next time, they don't warn you about which sushi is gonna be missing and they still charge you the same. I called them about it and they said they cannot control about that. Chicken Katsu (5 stars) It has onions in the non spicy curry. Chicken is freshly fried and a well balanced entree meal with sweet ginger salad and light vinegar cucumber cuts. Comes with the Japanese soy, on the house as appetizer. Beef Teriyaki: (4 stars), everything is great and sauce, quality of beef could be more tender. Had lunch here a while back and got a Chirashi Deluxe. Overall, the ingredients felt and tasted fresh, but somehow it still gave me food poisoning for a few days. While I understand that eating raw fish always carries a risk, this is the first time I've had such a bad reaction from it. On the other hand, their fried items are definitely super oily. I didn't even finish half of it and had to take the rest home. The chicken was a little stringy and over fried though. The eel rice came with thick slices of eel and was delicious. Two stars for how they treat their delivery drivers. The first time, I was told to wait outside while it was raining and cold. This last time, it was hot outside. They have plenty of seating, so I really don't understand the policy. It treats the people who deliver their food like second class citizens. During the height of Covid, when indoor dining wasn't allowed, I could totally understand. Maybe just a bad night, but I ordered take out and it was definitely not fresh or made to order. The avocado was already brown, the tempura was no longer crispy and the shrimp was all dried out. I have been coming here for years and enjoyed it. 3 weeks ago it was perfect. The other night I came back and ordered BBQ short ribs and salmon, both are cooked because I wasn't in the mood for sushi because it's cold out. I have ordered this meal many times. This time all my food was over done and burnt (charcoal pieces. Same with my husband's meal he couldn't chew the beef teriyaki. The ribs were thin and tough like beef jerky. Decent sushi spot. Got the volcano roll, a rainbow roll, tempura mix and 4 pieces of California rolls (free with yelp check in). The volcano rolll was not that good. I wouldn't get this one again. I called for pick up and as I entered the restaurant I was surprised: not a single employee was wearing a mask nor gloves. Even the people behind the sushi bar did not have a mask. Food quality - not bad Service - terrible I am here mainly to express my dissatisfaction with their service at Kiku. The lack of patience from this waitress really made my family's dining experience much less enjoyable. When we didn't catch what she was saying when my dad needed help in claiming the "yelp check-in" offer, the waitress not only didn't try to explain to him the process, instead, she kept raising her voice at us, saying "you need to do the check in, you need to do the check in!!!". Duh we needed to check in, but my father was not familiar with how it works and needed help. To make things worse, she started avoiding us the entire dinner, and at the end, she did not care to thank us or say goodbye when we left. Yet, we noticed she thanked everyone else with a smile as they left. While I am not expecting to receive royalty treatment, I felt disrespected throughout my experience dining at Kiku.
